Regarding tipping in Usa   (5/5)

Background : Ali from india. Engineer yah earn good salary 150k every year. Living in San Francisco. Lived and travelled around America , both coasts. I really did not like how you interpret tipping in American culture.you can not really compare donations in Hindu and Buddhist culture to tipping. Agreed that waiters don’t earn a lot but that does not mean they rely so much on tips. We ourselves are called to Usa to work and help the economy and earn good work experience, but giving 20% everytime is like stealing money. I think it should just be included in the cheque as service charge which should go to the waiter. If anyone wants to give more then yah go ahead. Americans need to start contributing to the economy rather than collecting tips and living on the edge.

Highly recommend!   (5/5)

Perfect for intermediate-level students who want to improve their English listening and speaking

Excellent   (5/5)

I’ve been listened to this podcast for years. It really helped me improve my English speaking and listening a lot. And through the tips provided by the hosts and invited speakers, I become much much more confident to communicate with native speakers. Now I’ve made more American friends and are really involved in American culture. The transcripts also help me to accumulate the most fundamental but super useful phrases and words. Thanks to this show and thanks to the hosts, Lindsay and Michelle!

Hi Lindsay and Michelle, my name is Timo Gomez, I am so glad I found all ears English, I was craving and eager to learn vocabulary and I searched everywhere and none of the lessons satisfied my needs until last year 2017 at the end of December I come across with your podcast and I fall in love with it. I just wished I found your podcast before but, I already started listening to you girls. I started from episode one in January first 2018 I don’t know how long is gonna take me to catch up with all episodes but, I am not giving up. Because In as little as 10 days I feel more confident talking to my coworkers and you make my English vocabulary learning so easy. Lindsay i love how you laugh. Michelle you have such as beautiful voice, you girls make my day at work go by fast I listen the recorded episodes all day at least 9 hours every day. You are such as lovely girls. I live in Wisconsin.

If you want to feel like a fish in the ocean, this is the perfect podcast!   (5/5)

Hi girls, I’ve been listening to this amazing podcast for almost a year now and I’m very thankful with you two because in my daily routine sometimes I struggle to practice my English because I’m driving around by myself or because I’m not interacting with people during my mornings or just because I’m speaking my native language almost half of my day (that’s part of my job) ... but everyday when I’m running errands I’ve at least an hour of you guys and I couldn’t ask for more! My English has improved a lot, I remember that before I couldn’t order a sandwich at Whole Foods and I had to ask my kid to ordered for me and now I’m the one ordering and even chitchatting with others while we wait for our food. Thanks so much for your time and believe me...all your effort to share your knowledge is worth it because this Mexican doesn't feel anymore like a fish out of water here in the USA. VALERIA.

The most favorite podcast ever!   (5/5)

Love this podcast, and love both of you, Lindsay and Michelle!!! I am fascinated by this various topics with your natural comfortable interesting conversation! I was studying English vocabularies before subscribing this podcast but I didn't know how those words work in a sentence. And I am an English learner, so I often need some explanation or description about English expression. This podcast covers all of my needs!! I can learn natural English in English!! I have been listening all of 780+ episodes for 4 month, and I am trying to put into my own words when I speak! Thank you, Lindsay and Michelle!

Life changing podcast!   (5/5)

Hi Lindsay and Michelle, Since i found your podcast last summer, listening AEE changed my perspective of learning english, you bring interesting topics and real experiences in American life that really happen!!! (since I'm living in Houston, Tx for over 3 months). It has been great for me after a year to make a whole review of what i have been learning, since reaching tools like "italki" to go through "native speaker phrases" and have a better ear and the most important to keep in mind all the time "connection not perfection". Listening to you guys let me learn english, but also gives me good conversation topics. I admire and respect your appreciation for cultures and diversity, you both are making a difference in peoples life!!! (I recommend your Podcast every time i can) Ps.you both have really nice voices! Thank you for such an amazing and helpful podcast! The Best, Alejandra Roque from El Salvador

Perfect Teachers   (5/5)

Dear Lindsay and Jessica, My name is Renan de Souza from São Paulo, Brazil. I am so thankful for all the help and effort that both of you have been doing for us, students. Recently, I received the results of my ILETS academic exam on March. I did for the first time and was surprised with an overall of 6.5: Listening: 6.0 Speaking: 7.5 Reading: 7.0 Writing: 6.0 I was aiming to an overall of 7.0, but this result is already enough for me because fulfill the requirement for all the universities and colleges that I am applying. Therefore, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you because I studied with you all the time listening the podcast, reading the blog, watching the video and joining the Facebook Live. I learned all the techniques, tips and orientation from you. During more than three months, you two were my friends driving with me inside of my car through the crazy traffic in Sao Paulo. I laugh with your jokes, repeated some sentences suggested for you and listened all the experiences from other students. At the end of the day, I was successful on the exam day. Hopefully both of you can help students from all over the world to follow their dreams just the way you did for me. I just want to say, once again, how thankful I am with your lovely job. My best regards from Brazil,

I've been living in the US for about a year and wanted to improve my speaking skill. This is exactly what I was looking for. Happy thanksgiving!

You guys are awesome.   (5/5)

I have a question for you guys. I was hanging out with my co-workers after work and we were telling stories and one of them said "tell me about" I heard a lot with my friends and sometimes my wife used as well. I kinda know it meant, I could be wrong. Could you guys share your thought on that. Thank you 😊. From Fresnel Paul

Thank you so much, keep on don't give up. Best Wishes

Best English/culture learning podcast ever   (5/5)

I have been listening to AEE for almost a year now. Thank you Lindsay and Michelle so much for your hard work that helped so many English learners to connect to their American friends and colleagues. These episodes not only taught me how to speak like a native speaker, but also has been motivating me to open up people so that I can really become part of the community. I've had a hard time since this Tuesday- realizing that there are many many difficult days ahead of those who believe in equal rights and diversity... I know you are probably disheartened too. But I wanted to let you know that what you have done meant a lot to me and, in my opinion, is one of the few ways that would make this county and the world a better place. THANK YOU.

.   (5/5)

Hello, You two are awesome and the episodes you make are like blood in my veins. Thank you very much. Amir. G from Iran

Connection AND Perfection   (5/5)

Hi guys, What you are doing is amazing. Real English, useful, practice and funny. You work seriously and all your classes are so energetic and motivating. I've been leaving in the US for 10 months and since I found you, 8 months ago, I've learned a lot. I also take classes in italki, which is an excellent resource. When I listened to you last week saying that you hadn't got any review I thought : how come??? This is unfair! You're the best podcast for learning english! Thank you and don't stop! Ricardo Chiaradía (originally from Argentina)

straight through native english speaking   (5/5)

This is not just English….   (5/5)

And this is way more than American Culture! it is Life Skills! Social and Emotional strategies to be successful when talking to people at work, school, restaurants, parties or even dating. I’ve been listening to them for almost two years now! I came from Spain to Chicago three years ago and I know that it is really hard to connect with people when you do not speak the same language. Lindsay and Michelle helped me to make new friends and participate more actively at work by just incorporating their great tips and phrases into my everyday conversations! Congratulations, ladies!!! Keep helping new comers like me! I got a question and maybe an idea for next episodes. How do we answer when someone tells a joke or a funny story? It happens to me frequently that friends or co workers say a funny comment and I do not know how to answer or keep the conversation flowing… I usually repeat the same phrase at the end of the joke… [That is funny!] and I get quiet…. But I would like to say something else… Any phrases or vocabulary that helps to keep the connection? Thank you so much!!

Interesting topics, funny girls   (5/5)

This couple of ladies talk about a bunch and different topics and teach useful expressions that you can apply in every conversation. Their vocabulary lesson are the best. Top notch podcast!

Great program   (5/5)

I’ve been listening to all ears English for quite a while. This is one of few programs that I look forward to everyday and must listen during my commute hours. I like it not just because of the interesting and helpful content itself, but also because of the hosts’ personality that shows through each espisode. I simply admire the way they create the program and the way they live lives. Thanks for the good work! I recommended it to my niece and nephew who are still in schools.

Haircut   (5/5)

Hello there, thanks for the wonderful podcast. I am from Iran and have been in the US for quite a long time ( almost 1 year) and as a result had to take haircut a few times. But it was not a very fun experience because I couldn't tell the guy what kind of haircut I was exactly looking for. I guess it would be helpful for many of the listeners if you guys could give out an episode on just getting haircut. Thanks again.

Excellent   (5/5)

Keep going

Great show but annoying ads   (1/5)

I've learned a lot from this GREAT show since I started about 6 months ago. But the advertising part is toooo long and tooooo repetitive for a short episode like this. I understand you need to raise money but imagine for a one-hour driving you need to listen to the same advertisement for at least 5 time! I can't listen to it anymore so I stopped the podcast for good. Really a pity.

It will help you improve your English   (4/5)

I was looking for an funny and useful podcast to listen and finally found it. You can learn America culture and also their accents. Thank you so much.

Awesome!   (5/5)

I'm a recent Chinese subscriber. I went to graduate school in New York (hi Michelle :D) and now work in San Francisco. I thought my English was good. Indeed it's good enough for school and reading newspapers, but I think in order to fully master it, I still need to learn how people use it in daily life, otherwise I will sound not so natural. This podcast is excellent for that and it's interesting so that I will keep listening. Thank you Lindsay and Michelle!

Mr.   (5/5)

Hi guys! I always wanted to write a review about this amazing podcast, but I dont have a time! I recently discovered the podcast and I really enjoying every episode of it. I'm a busy front-end developer from Iraq, living and working in Istanbul, Turkey. This podcast helped me and still helping me a lot; I even created a private whatsapp group where I rewrite and translate the podcast to Arabic people who want to learn English. The group is small and all its members are from the family. Please guys, keep the great work ... keep it coming :)

So Helpful!   (5/5)

I struggled with american english as a new resident in US. This definetely helped me out!

very useful   (5/5)

I’ve recently moved to the US and soon as I got here, I found out that all English I’ve studied for almost my whole life is not enough yet when you want to live in the US. so I started looking for a podcast that can help me hear more and more native american English. all English apps are concentrating mostly on Grammar, and what I needed was to learn more slang. I’ve learned a lot from this podcast. for example you can never find in a book or even dictionaries that American people mostly use heels in conversations which is the shorter form of high-heeled shoes. also these girls are so lovely and after a while you’ll consider them as tow good friends, thank you so very much for this awesome podcast, please keep on the good work.

so far so good   (5/5)

I just started to listen this, and i like it.

I need help!!   (5/5)

Girls, you're really wonderful!! I need a favor, please, I was listening to the epiode 25 and Gabby said: Good callings? Is that it? What does it mean? If you didn't say it, sorry, what did you say? Thanks a lot!!

I have been listening to this podcast for about a month and I can say it is very useful for me!! keep up going!!

All Ears English is awesome!   (5/5)

By listening to Gabby and Lindsay, I have become more confindent with my English skills. They walked me through this wonderful journey of becoming proficient in English in a natural, fun, and effective way. The method of targeting specific topics that most of the ESL students face at some point makes it extraordinarily helpful. Thanks Gabby and Lindsay... Keep up with the good work!!

It’s awesome   (5/5)

It’s useful!

Outstanding   (5/5)

Love the upbeat interaction between Gabby and Lindsay. I want more, more, more!

AllEarsEnglish   (5/5)

Lindsay and Gabby: You're doing a fantastic job for engish learners. The topics, choice of words and explanation is spot on. Keep up the good work!

Learned and had fun   (5/5)

This is awesome! It's not a tool to teach language, but lot of demos for English-learners holding natural and cool conversations with native speakers. Try it!

Game Changer   (5/5)

Wow!! What a great podcast! I learned so much that I did not know. So many useful concepts. And presented in an engaging and fun style.

Finally! Authentic conversation material that students can really use!   (5/5)

Wow- as an educator of English to university students, I have to say this is JUST the thing I was looking for. My students who are often isolated from native speakers are often looking for authentic ways to acquire english conversation skills for higher education and job settings. I will DEFINTELY be pointing my students to these podcasts as a way to practice authentic language in a safe, approachable way. I love the enthusiasm both educators bring to their lessons. Excellent!

Fantastic! The Best One Yet   (5/5)

I have to say that this is one of the best language podcasts that I have ever heard. The vocabulary is perfect and the conversations are very enlightening and informative. The hosts are very engaging and create an exciting environment for learning English.

That's absolutely need   (5/5)

Have you ever wonder how is real American English sound like? And how to make yourself sounds more clear and in more familiar moonier for native speakers? If you're looking answers on that questions that podcast is definitely for you. Personally I found it very handy and fun to listen. And it doesn't take a lot of my time. 5-7 minutes per day that's a time that I always can afford. Inspire it shortness it always gives me a good advices yet and makes my grasp of the language stronger and stronger. Would recommend it to any ESL learner.

It's nice   (5/5)

I'll try it, thanks
