I am late to the party with this one - but as a result I am still only in early 2016 and have years to look forward to! I haven’t lived in Australia for 20 years so didn’t know of Annabel and Leigh but now feel like I know them. Love the fact Crabb is a Mitford fan (hurrah) and Sales - read “Little Life” immediately, it’s brilliant!
Not only is the conversation lively, the banter funny but also very informative and thought provoking. Both women offer great recommendations - book, galleries, TV, etc. My favourite drive time poddie.
Like Edie and Patsy, Ms Crabb and Ms Sales display a real, happy friendship which when combined with show tunes, baking recipes and insightful, intellectually robust discussion creates a totally brilliant podcast. If you imagined that their TV personas were the limit of their personalities, think again. You will never watch the 7:30 Report again without having one if the joyous and enthusiastic renditions of "Good morning" echo in your mind. Subscribe to this podcast today and improve your mood and your outlook forthwith!
Two very funny and intelligent women. Defs recommend
As someone who routinely finds ways to watch the ABC as an American, I enjoy Leigh and Annabel’s work for the ABC immensely. The podcast is a great way to get insight into who they are as people and what they enjoy. Their genuine friendship and care for each other provides an excellent backdrop for a very light-hearted, joyous podcast!
Always entertaining ... Like listening to two fun friends natter away. Often leads me on to some good reading/listening for the week too!
Feels like I’m sitting in on two good friends just having a good time. There’s not a lot of structure, in this case a good thing, they just talk about what’s in the news or what they’ve been consuming, both food and entertainment, recently. Only complaint is that it’s too short.
a very funny natural chat between 2 smart & informed women. I have clicked on almost all of the links on the website after listening to the podcasts. You can’t help but feel like you are in on the conversation - except without the tasty treats!
Two of Australia's most loved journos (who have great chemistry) riff off each other and flex their wit and intellect. What's not to like. Fabulous.
It's a very random selection of topics that seem to be loosely based around what someone's read at some point. But it's very entertaining and (for an expat living in the US) gives me a great little connection to Australian life too. Cooking and show tunes seem to be important.
Great. They need a better microphone. And to go for an hour.
