Just discovered this podcast and I was so excited to see that there are so many guests that aren't already hosuehold names. The information and content is powerful and positive. There are tangible ideas and strategies to use and apply. Really terrific listening that genuinely adds value to my day. Love it!
This is a great podcast. Real conversations, where the host is actually listening (a rarity). Favorite episode: the one with author Stephanie Danler. Gold.
I was looking for something positive as the sea of negativity can drown even the most skilled swimmers. I went back to episodes from 2017 and plan to progress forward with a dose of this interesting, non-syrupy, practical podcast. Thanks.
Lost me on your Arlan Hamilton SJW B.S. no thanks.
Jonathan Fields has an incredible voice for podcasting. This is a soothing and uplifting listen! Although I don’t listen every week there are some guests and topics that really intrigue me. I like that this podcast is one I don’t need to listen to every week to stay p to date with.
If you want to learn how to connect with yourself, how to discover and become the person you want to be, and how to be a citizen in the world in a more positive way, and how to be happier in life, then this is the podcast for you. Great interviews and thoughts on how to connect to and become more yourself to improve your life, with a combination of philosophy, research, and practical, very doable approaches.
Great interviews on compelling subjects and people.
Good flow to the podcast, love his voice because it’s clear and concise, and great speakers. Just listened to the one with Sharon Salzburg chat about her life & loving-kindness meditations and I stepped away with a little more knowledge of this practice that I casually started a few months ago and am diving deeper into it
This podcast is SO good! I’ve been listening to it for three years now and I love it! The conversations are so inspiring and educational. Jonathon is extremely well spoken and asks great questions. This podcast is a part of my daily life.
I remember hearing about Ms Louden’s Women’s Comfort Book in the early 1990’s and probably checked out a copy from our library, but I was a new mom at 39 and working a medical laboratory management position among other life/marriage/parent crises. There was no time to do self exploring. Now at 67, this new book, Why Bother, finds me in the best place to order and read. I really enjoyed this conversation. I’m fairly new to podcast and The Good Life Project. Thanks to Ms. Louden and Mr. Field for a very enjoyable hour.
I am enjoying this podcast very much!! The host has so many interesting guests with amazing and extraordinary stories that are so relatable and sometimes very healing in describing the human experience . The guests are sometimes people you have heard about but many of them are people that I have never heard of myself but have the most powerful life stories. Very inspiring and I’m so glad I found it especially during the last few weeks. Thank you!!!!
Jonathan, host of the Good life Project podcast, highlight all good aspects and more in this can’t miss podcast! The host and expert guests offer insightful advice and information that is helpful to anyone that listens!
I get a lot of value from this podcast, and I found the Susan Piver episode especially powerful. A must listen.
Hi! Is anyone else having problems w the audio? I can't listen the last one because of the bad sound quality... If it is my problem does anyone one how to fix it? Cause I love your podcasts and I want to hear it!! Thanks
Jonathan, With enormous gratitude for your podcast and your writing, which I received by being on your mailing list. Your words inspire thought, you inspire change. Well done! From NYC
Long-time listener, first-time reviewer. Jonathan, all your interviewees are interesting people with a lot to share, and you are consistently skillful at listening and getting the best experience from them. Your interview with Krista Tippett (from 2016, but I just heard it for the first time) hit a whole new level of intense, open-hearted connection. While some guests are sort of "press play" talkers, you and Krista were engaged in a true dialogue. You were each listening INTENTLY TO EACH OTHER, and the quality of your questions and comments spurred her to say more than once that you had given her something to think about. In fact, at the end she described the conversation as “challenging in a good way.” Kudos and gratitude to you and your team for this excellent podcast. (I do find the current music to be frenetic and jittery--not quite compatible for me with deep listening.)
This podcast has literally been a lifesaver for me. I’m so thankful to you, Jonathan, for doing this show.
I share more GLP episodes with friends than any other podcast. Jonathan is the most skilled interviewer I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. He’s able to get to the heart of it, able to make connections and synthesize it all in ways that are profound, often bringing the interviewee to greater awareness of themselves and their stories. When GLP began releasing multiple episodes a week, I was elated. This podcast series is a source of groundedness and hope in a modern world that very much needs both.
Every episode enriches my life! It is my ticket to the stars! I’m growing and learning so much from so many! Jonathan you nail it every time! Thank you for what you do!!! Madeline K.
You blew it on this one. I did not know it was possible for an interview with Liz Phair to be boring. The generic questions, the rambling commentary; it is the exact opposite of what she is all about. Do you even know her music? How I would have loved this podcast to be about the stories she has to tell. Looking forward to reading them in the book!
I’ve learned so much listening to this podcast! Great interviews wonderfully prepared!
Astounding info! Really connects the dots!
I enjoy your podcasts and just listened to your latest. I am a board certified urologist and need to make a quick comment about treating prostate cancer with Energy Medicine. It is certainly true that diet and exercise and many other factors influence the outcome of a man with prostate cancer. We have also found that certain low grade prostate cancers can even be treated with “watchful waiting” because of the low risk of CERTAIN situations. However, there are times when a man can have high risk prostate cancer and the outcome can be very different. I appreciate Jill Blakeway’s approach, but a man with prostate cancer should ALWAYS consult with a urologist before (and during) alternative treatment therapies.
I like the concept and the content that this podcast provides. I think the host is very gentle and very good at what he does.
Terrific podcast! Amazing content and a great host. I was honored to be a guest and look forward to listening to many more episodes!
Whenever someone asks me what podcast has had the most impact on me or what my favorite podcast is I always direct them to Good Life Project. Hearing others stories inspires me to co-create my own and to truly live a good life (in my own way). I have so much appreciation for this podcast. Thank you to those who take part in making it
The Good Life Project is one of my favorite podcasts! Each episode features an incredibly inspiring individual, and it's so empowering to hear how each of them took what happened to them and turned it into a powerful message. I'm for sure going to keep up with this podcast!
Thank you for Inspiring Possibility.
Informative podcast and leaves you feeling good!
This is my favorite podcast. It’s interesting, diverse, well produced, and the host & guests are magnificent.
All extraordinary! Thank you Dan and the entire Team.
Thanks for the Story Behind Therapy for Black Girls episode! I'm a long time listener and have enjoyed the episodes, but this episode made me feel included. I haven't felt excluded and have related to other guests on your podcast, but there have not been many black guests that spoke about black women. I never knew about this podcast and look forward to listening. Thanks again for the great episodes!
Love this, thank you.
Just listened to your podcast on, How to succeed at anything,,,,,,,loved your strategy to write it down and pledge to myself... my agreement and my action steps to myself to progress towards my goals, And the reminding me of the importance of accountability and community for success. Believe in possibility that what I want is possible,,,,,so so true. Thank you!!
Yes, let’s all take advice from Marcus Buckingham (interviewed on the podcast dated 06/10/19). Please, you have to be kidding. This is the guy recently divorced from Jane Buckingham, one of the defendants named in this spring’s college admissions scandal (co-defendants include Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin). We should not be propping up the Buckinghams in the media at this point in time at all.
Love This podcast. Been listening since 2015 and learned so much from all different perspectives of authors from all fields and interests. I love the questions Jonathan asks. Very thoughtful and mindful. Keep up the great work Jonathan👍
Love this podcast but very disappointed in this one. 3 abortions?? Really you ever hear of birth control?? And to listen how she’s not embarrassed about it. Turned it off. Will try again next week and hope it’s better....
I am so glad that I stumbled across this podcast. It is good for the soul. Every episode so far has been informative, thought provoking, inspiring and planted seeds from things that I would not have thought to find on my own. Thank you for being so thoughtful in the creation. The authenticity shows through.
I love this!!👀 its The best and every night I listen to this and Learn something new
I adore this podcast and Jonathan Fields. Jonathan has such amazing, thoughtful, heartfelt questions. There’s nothing corny about this one. It’s just real, deep conversations that leave you with so much inspiration and wisdom. Thank you!!
Thoughtful, intelligent and fascinating. I love this podcast.
This podcast has got to be one of the most relatable talk I’ve heard so far, thank you! I would like to share with my husband and with my team at work to start conversations how we could all communicate better whether it’s at work or at home. Sharing the quiz link. Thanks Again!
If I could give zero stars I would. I will no longer support a podcast production company that doesn’t support freedom of expression.
I just discovered this podcast a few days ago and have found myself binging on it. So many inspirational stores!
This episode was amazing. Don’t get me wrong: great podcast, great questions. I get something from almost every episode but this one, man! Blew my mind. Thank you and keep going.
I love this podcast! Jonathan is such a great interviewer. He's easy to listen to and draws you in. You can tell he always does his homework and is truly passionate about sharing inspiring personal stories. The people he interviews are so thought-provoking and inspiring but down to earth. You can't help but get fired up by what you hear and want to go do something to better yourself and the world. You'll want to listen to the next episode and the next and the next. I know I do. Thanks for sharing the good life, Jonathan!
I love this podcast it’s my go to when I want to listen to something Inspirational, thought provoking, helps me spark new ideas. I love starting my days to the podcast when I’m going on a walk or driving.
Such a soul-touching podcast! An oasis in this frenzied world!
I hate to be that person, but the voice of the host is just hard to listen to. It is either too nasal or it is so flat it puts you to sleep. That being said, there are good guests on the show and a lot of good info.
Each episode is so inspiring. Thanks, Jonathan, for finding these amazing people and sharing their stories with us.
The very best podcast! Loved the sincerity and authenticity of Zainab. She shares are thoughts in such a beautiful and co concise way and you walk away with a fresh new perspective
Every time I listen, I spend the rest of my day feeling refreshed and inspired. Thank you!
Hear from experts in many different fields.
Jonathan knows how to have deep and insightful conversations and it creates a wonderful podcast. He has a wonderful way with words while letting the conversation unfold naturally. This is by far my favorite podcast. Thank you Jonathan. 😄
Love this podcast. The guests are amazing and the interviews are fascinating, but he needs to listen more. He talks A LOT during the interviews. I’d like to hear him lead his guest into deeper discussion about them and their passions and ideas.
I so deeply appreciate Jonathan’s willingness to guide deep conversations with such honest and vulnerable insight. We all grow because of The Good Life Project.
All things related to living a good life. Love the people he interviews. He really does a great job at covering wide topics such as health, wellness, mental heath, companies with a mission, racism and book authors. Johnathons voice is smoothing a relaxing. He opens your mind and has the connections to interview some of the greats.
This is one of the podcasts I can go to everyday for different problems I need to work on or just get advice when no one else can give me any. Super amazing and I’ll keep listening as long as I can!
I love this podcast so much, it has meant so much to me since I discovered it only a couple weeks ago. There are so many beautiful, inspiring people and stories brought to light through these casual, comfortable conversations, and I just cannot get enough. These conversations have taught me so many things, brought me to tears, inspired me, and given me an awareness of so many beautiful ways of thinking, ways of life, and just perspective of life that I will cherish and carry with me through my daily life. I have been listening to these every day at work, and it makes the day go by so fast and really fills up my imagination and my faith in society and good people.
Awesome guests with helpful advice! Simple interview type podcast packed with gems of information :)
Really appreciate the interviewer’s skill and spaciousness - he really allows the guests to talk and expand on their points, and come into their own!
Used to be one per week...missing updated shows. I listen every night.
Great podcast! There is a great spectrum of speakers that really make you think on both spiritual and scientific levels
If you remove all the heavy-handed and trendy "Sooo..."s and "-but here's the thing!"s that hosts feel compelled to use these days, the content itself is probably good. I absolutely can't stand his voice which is almost an irritating tickle of a whisper with a cartoon's wacky guffaw pronunciation and the bizarre pauses and cadence a la Ira Glass (equally unlistenable).
Lavendaire does a really good job of finding “ordinary” people out there in the world who she gets to open up in a way that makes you feel a connection. It’s nice to be able to communicate with people through her podcast 😊
The episodes I've tried to listen to (about 10) were recorded at very low volume; to hear them I have to turn the volume on my computer up to maximum. The interviewer and guests tend to talk very quickly, to mumble frequently, and to lower their speaking volume further at the end of sentences. All of this makes it hard to understand what anyone is saying (and having hte volume turned up, I'm sure, distorts things further). To follow the conversation I have to pay very close attention, and frequently go back over sections. Definitely not something to listen to while attempting to accomplish anything else. Life is too short for this nonsense.
Jonathan’s interview with Light Watkins was just what I was seeking today. I’ll be back! ☮️
I know I can turn to a riff or interview here and always get what I need for my good life.
Hi Jonathan, I love your show. It provides great information through such inspiring life stories, and thought provoking questions. Charmaine Gray Matthews Project
Genre and Jonathan have such lovely voices, which really adds to the comforting messages in this podcast. Thank you.
I will not listen to any Wondery podcasts as long as they are associated with Mike Boudet.
I love listening to this podcast and often share episodes with my college aged kids. So much of what we encounter attempts to move us into a passive or worse, jaded, viewpoint. Listening to The Good Life Project is like an inoculation against the tyranny of negativity out there. Thanks!
I like this podcast very much and look forward to episodes every week. Great guests, and I felt like Melissa Bernstein was reading from my personal diary with many of the confessions she made. Thank you.
I am 16 years old, and although I like to think that I am extremely outgoing and extroverted, I tend to find myself as an outcast amongst the general population of my peers. However, after every episode I listen to, I find that I am more comfortable with myself and greatly appreciate the wisdom and knowledge of the host and guests that star on this podcast. Although this a rather vague review, I encourage all to open their minds to the experiences shared on this show.
Thank you for the quick share about you are enough. As entrepreneur in her second year I always find it difficult to remind myself. I found your podcast about 2 years ago. Enjoyed listening to amazing people you have Interviewed from Life lessons, Mindfulness practices and The most talks about Money. Keep up the great work on inspiring the world to think differently.
If you're into thoughtful, deep conversations on how to live a good modern wise life, you've hit the jackpot. The wonderful host is authentic and thoughtful in the conversations, I'm constantly learning something from the interesting guests, and the science bit he does is a great addition to encourage more intelligent, evidence based living. I'm grateful to have found this podcast! It's great for lazy Sunday morning listening after meditation! Thank you for this content!
I like the guests and the conversation but the interviewer has this way of speaking that is so slow and mellow it just sounds like he's channeling some movie stereotype of a completely baked character. I do wish the interviews were a little more pointed. A lot of times the beginning meanders so long I lose track of the goal topic of the episode.
My favorite podcast out there! Jam packed with juicy, yummy good advice and direction on all sorts of aspects of life and living. I’m grateful to Jonathan for his thoughtfulness and for creating such an awe inspiring community of movers, shakers, doers, thinkers, feelers, and everything in between.
I've listened to a few now, including the one with Matthieu Ricard. Jonathan: as podcasting is an audio medium, one's voice is ESSENTIAL. It becomes a huge distraction if the voice is irritating. Much like on-camera if a host is either dressed sloppily, or physically stiff - it may seem superficial but it becomes a distraction if it's egregious. The combination of your voice and the way it's edited (jump cuts that take away cadence) makes your podcast at times unlistenable. It's that irritating. You have major vocal fry in an overly nasal way, holding the volume of your voice way up in your sternum and the back of your throat. Especially when you read ad copy it's the kind of voice that sounds really nervous because it's not fully voiced. And when it's not fully voiced, it gives the impression of insincerity (or like you're hiding something) because you're not speaking in a full voice (it's half-breathy/whispery). If you don't know what I'm saying, it behooves you to train with a voice teacher. The good news is that this CAN be fixed. Voices like this are akin to nails on a chalkboard. I listen to TONS of podcasts, and I hate doing this but you have great content, great guests, and you have lots of great things to say and a great mission. BUT, for your mission to reach its potential, you need to get voice teacher to correct your speaking voice. Yes, "correct" your speaking voice. Because it's an audio medium and as a podcast host you are held to a higher standard than the average person. You need to speak in a FULL voice like many of your guests, and this bad vocal habit of yours was learned - and can and should be unlearned.
I highly recommend The Good Life project. Jonathan Fields’ passion oozes through out each riff and guest. I enjoy his insight and perspective of a good life. His interview style is very unique and heart felt. He creates a space to be authentic and vulnerable to create new connections with our world to be more honest and true!
CONNECTION AND HEALING is what changes people’s lives! I know! I’m an addict/ alcoholic in Recovery! The opposite of addiction is connection. The key is finding CONNECTION and then doing the work necessary to heal our thinking problem! We are “TOO SENSITIVE” .. We feel TOO MUCH. But I’ve learned a better way. My root problem was childhood “adversity”, sexual abuse”, and throw in possibly born “sensitive!”. It’s a complicated, heart breaking problem but CONNECTION saved me. 💜💜 LOVE YOUR WORK! 💜💜
His vocal fry in his ads is unbearable. Such a rookie podcaster mistake
I started to listen every week, now I’m listening daily. Put your ego aside and listen with an open heart and a clear head. Thanks!
Lea waters moved me to tears! Thank you for sharing your story. Very admirable and you have my utmost respect!!
Jonathan and his guests provide some incredibly compelling content that’s geared to help you take actionable steps to live a healthier, more well-rounded life. Highly recommend listening and subscribing to the Good Life Project if you want the knowledge AND mindsets to improve your body, mind & spirit (and live your best life as a result)!
I enjoy the honest reflections given in this podcast which are delivered in a succinct, clear manner without being too much of a tough love approach.
Love this podcast.
The episode with J Jenkins had me feeling so understood and validated in a way I’ve never felt. Thank you for this beautiful podcast!
This podcast has quickly become one of my favorites! I have listened to many of the episodes and I am blown away by how authentic Jonathon is with his guests. His authenticity and quiet spoken manner soothes his guests into revealing the most inner parts of their souls-- with no hesitation. You do not feel as though you are listening to a podcast. You feel you are side by side with them in the room-- witnessing old friends discover the most authentic parts of who they truly are and what they truly believe. Thank you for this podcast. It has enriched my life beyond words. -Jennica King
Have been listening for years and the podcast gets better and better. So much wisdom, heart, and insight. Grateful for the opportunity to listen!
Jonathan is a masterful storyteller and his guests are always up to leading engaged lives with opportunities for you to learn, grow yourself, and overall push towards a mindset of abundance. His recent short riffs are also great for a walk or while cooking. My wife calls him "the whisperer" and always can tell I've listened to one b/c I'm in a meditative and calm state ha!
Having listened to only two random episodes I am hooked. I say randomly m because I specially chose Tim Ferriss and Jen Sincero episodes. Subscribed and look forward to catching up on all the wisdom of previous one. Thank you!!
I adore Jonathan Fields. Good life project is my go to podcasts. I truly resonate with Jonathan and his intelligent, thoughtful and insightful guests.
I’m so bummed out!! This was one of my very favorite podcasts!! I’m not politically left or right but the guest “riff”. Saying the man, woman& children family is not normal or natural is so wrong and very EXTREMELY alienating those of us who have those families! I have to say that was so divisive and truly heartbreaking. There is so much other great content but PLEASE KEEP IT POLITICALLY NEUTRAL.
Excellent podcast! I am, again and again, brought home by Jonathan’s invitation to live authentically. He creates a safe space to relate to others and discover A little more about who I am (who we are). It reminds me that I am not alone but more importantly, that I am known. Thank you for this opportunity and for what feels like genuine love for all of the flavors and colors of life! Kathy Kali-Godby
Johanthan, thank you for this excellent podcast. It is by far my favorite feed for my curious, inspiration seeking and optimistic mind. Keep the discovery going and do yourself a favor, listen to this podcast and expand your knowledge, humor and hope.
Love your podcast. So much love infused in each episode. Thanks for teaching us how to live a good life. Xo
Inspiring and uplifting
Look forward to new ones each week ... so enjoy Jonathan’s style. He listens, shares, asks provoking questions... LOVE! Thank you!
I love this show and listen to it regularly! I’m confident that the producer of the show is a deep thinker who wants to produce the best show possible.. this is why I want to beg for a change in the commercial structure of the show.. for me there are far too many and too long in length. On a completely different note, I’ve been a teacher for 14 years and feel like a lot of this stuff is regularly practiced by teachers.. we don’t honor teachers enough in this country compared to how teachers are treated around the world and would encourage you to honor teachers and have them on your show.
I find this podcast uplifting and thought-provoking, as well as soothing—all the good things. Also, Jonathan has a lovely voice and I like both his way with the people he interviews and his solo “riff” episodes. Thank you, Jonathan!
I really want to like this show, mainly because the guest selection is very good. However, Jonathan often lets the conversation go off the rails into details, rather than focusing on the key ideas and/or more generalizable life experience of the guests. He also interrupts the guests way too much...in fact this is often how the show loses focus. He picks up something the guest says as relevant to his own life, and proceeds to take the conversation on a tangent. And then they struggle to get back to where the guest was originally going...I think Jonathan is good on his own, and I like those shorter episodes. But he struggles to stay in the background when guests are around, which reduces the quality of what the audience can get from them.
I love this podcast, I go in and out of being a dedicated podcast listener, but since I came across the Good Life Project, each morning I am listening and taking notes on my ride into work. I even binged an entire road trip to Canada from Chicago listening to over 15 podcasts. Such good content, great interviews and overall exactly what we all need in our lives. Great work Jonathan, keep it up man!
Thoughtful, thought-provoking, always inspiring. This podcast does not disappoint.
It is so clear what Jonathan's purpose is with this podcast: to create more meaningful and connected lives for all us living on this Earth today. Through his powerful interviewing and his deep humility, Jonathan succeeds in sharing with us people's stories that, in effect, have a long afterlife. I just listened to the episode with Mark Lukach. Thank you, Jonathan, for the interview. I will in no doubt be sharing with with my Getting unSTUCK tribe. The world needed to hear that story. May you be blessed.
I have been binge listening to this show for months. Each episode offers a whole new unique idea and perspective. The guests are phenomenal and Jonathan Fields is an incredible host. I appreciate this show tremendously. Keep up the most excellent work.
If you're a podcast listener and haven't tried Good Life Project, here's your chance. Check out the episode "The ARC of Happiness." The second half of this episode is interesting, as well, but I've listened to the first half three times, once while taking notes. I love this podcast!
Jonathan and his guests share inspiring and actionable stories and advice on how to live your best life. Highly recommend listening to the Good Life Project if you want the knowledge AND mindsets to reach your full potential and reach your professional and personal goals!
I'm so glad this is in the world. If you're looking for media that is grounding and purposeful, you've found it.
The good life project has been a podcast I just have to listen to. He provides a kind of listening that is thought provoking. This podcast has truly improved my way of thinking. He reminds us that life has its ups and downs and we are all the same. A big thanks for his work!
Kudos to GLP for consistently producing such a high quality podcast. Guests are well interviewed and non-guest episodes are focused. I always get so much from listening. Thank you!
I love this podcast. It's always inspiring and uplifting. Hearing all of the different stories of people from all walks of life, and even just ideas and concepts; it's all so moving. Highly recommend to anyone
"We are all in this together and we all are only going to get through it together and how can we all come together and just help each other." Subscribe to this podcast! It is awesome and you'll learn so many helpful tips. :)
Always find some hidden gems to fortify the 'good life' I'm trying to live. Recently really enjoyed the episode with Max from Artolution ... so inspiring. Been listening for awhile and kept forgetting to review. Thanks for whata you do!
This is my favorite podcast. I have been listening for probably three years, and and embarrassed that it is taken this long to write a review. Jonathan is such an excellent interviewer, and really gets at the heart of what matters. He brings such interesting and insightful people on his show; it is such a treat every week to listen to him. Thank you Jonathan for all that you do.
Thank you for your rich dialogue and subject matter. I am in awe of what you are doing and being. Grateful, so grateful!
Most of the content and messages are very powerful and relevant to our time. However, I feel disappointed every time Jonathan says "kind of" or "sort of" which unfortunately is waaaay too often. It undermines not just everything he says but also many times it also undermines his interviewees.
Johnathan Fields has amazing guests and his interviewing style gets to the heart of the important things. This podcast has helped me to grow spiritually and has encouraged me to develop my creative side. His work is authentic and you can tell he pours a lot of energy into making this world a better place.
I have been following this podcast for years. It has helped me a lot in various aspects of my Life. I find the podcast informative, fun, elevating and Inspiring. THANK YOU to all that make it happen.
These are always thought provoking.
Made it thru my run and to the driveway and then you took us to the "deep end of the pool". Thank you for bringing the listeners' perspective. I must get his comic book or wait for e-version! Then Robert spoke of Justice- Justness.. call it endorphins- call it devine intervention- call it a perspective shift- an Oprah AHA-moved to tears. Thank you.(Guest: Robert Thurman is one of the world's foremost Buddhist scholars) Great episode and a great podcast! Go KIND!
Jonathon Fields brings a lovely touch to my life. His ideas are fully understood because he uses practicable examples. I look forward to each episode. I tune-in at the close of my days and meditatively listen and drift off to sleep. I awake excited in a fresh morning with a lust for the day!
I always learn something each episode!
As a professional podcaster, I can say without reservations that The Good Life Project is inspiring, deeply moving, insightful, and an oasis of positivity and goodness in a historical time deeply in need of such destinations.
This is one of the best informative, inspiriational podcasts out there. Genuine, sincere, thought provoking and plain old just good. Love it and highly recommend others to give it a listen. Jonathan Fields is awesome. Love it!
I've been listening to The Good Life Podcast for a few months now and just heard the interview with Andrew Forsthoefel about his book Walking to Listen. Like so many other Podcast by Jonathan Fields, this one is exceptional. There were several times that I felt inspired to learn more, be more not just for myself but for others. Thank you Andrew for being vulnerable and sharing your story as well as listening to the stories of others. Thank you Jonathan for creating The Good Life Project!!
Great thought provoking podcast that inspires and educates
Jonathan, host of the Good Life Projects aims to motivate and inspire others. Jonathan and his expert guests offer insightful advice that would be helpful to anyone that listens!
So many great guests you will have a giant list of books to read and Gurus to follow!
Great podcast! Jonathan Fields interview a wide range of profesionals and get down to the daily grind.
I always look forward to listening this podcast! It's incredibly inspirational. Jonathan gets interviewees with great stories, that are risk takers and inspirational.
Every episode of GLP uplifts and provides insights into rockin’ your good life!
Love listening to this to start my day. Always have pen and paper because he makes such good points you will want to take notes!
Make sure you have a note pad out because every episode is ripe with insights.
Just listened to the Dan Lerner episode and totally relate to the Pittsburgh experience. I grew up there and didn’t stray very far after college. It’s still very blue collar and yet theres a huge art culture thats growing more and more. An amazing place that everyone should check out! Great podcast, all the episodes are super helpful.
Very inspiring and thoughtful discussions.
I just listened to the podcast about social risk and I can absolutely relate to what he is talking about! I am very grateful for his sharing and advice! Good to hear that other people feel it too.
I just found this podcast and listened to the episode on gratitude with Brene Brown. I wish I hadn't been driving because I could have filled a small book with bits of wisdom and inspiration. I loved listening! Thank you for what you do. I am subscribing now.
I was introduced to this podcast when I was doing a search on Glennon Doyle Melton, blogger/author/activist. I really enjoyed the episode when Jonathan spoke with her.
I've only listened to 2 podcasts & I'm already a fan. Great guests, conversations & information to help us all live the good life. I'm grateful for this podcast!
I find that I always think about things in a new way or agree emphatically with what someone has said but just never had the ability to describe it before a lot when listening to this show. It's a favorite.
I work with nonprofits and startups. See their challenges and feel their frustrations. Jonathan keeps us going with wise advice, encouragement, a gentle nudge, and stories of success. We are making a difference!! Thank you for reminding us!!
I listen to this podcast every morning on my way to work. My job is emotionally taxing, as I am a therapist for children with special needs in an impoverished urban area. I find that Jonathan's insightful words and inspiring guests give me an extra boost of hope that I channel into helping others. His podcasts inspire me to remember to be present in the moment and to take time to nurture myself.
You must listen and get some really good stuff!
This podcast has been incredibly insightful, educational and soulful in more than one way. I particularly enjoyed the one with Brené Brown on gratitude and vulnerability! Keep up the great work and thank you for adding another grain of beauty and love to this world.
This podcast not only asks you the questions about how you're living, existing, pursuing YOUR good life, but also gives suggestions on how to explore these questions for yourself and how to foster real change in the areas that are most important for you. The guests have a wide variety of background and are relatable on so many levels. I find myself re-listening to the riffs John posts challenging us to create new pathways for growth in our own lives. I so appreciate the time and intention that has gone into each one...highly recommend.
I was skepyical for this podcats but after hearing a conversation with marianne williamson and another with gabby bernsetin, I fell in love! thankyou for such an aware, beautiful and relaxed conversation!
I love the diversity of the guests & topics. And it's given me some great insights. I'm glad I randomly discovered this one. :)
Awesome podcast! The first episode I listened to was "Reason and Passion". Jonathan shared his thoughts on an excerpt from The Prophet. While I had never heard of the book, prior to listening to this podcast. I am definitely going to buy it and give it a read. When Jonathan talked about if we choose to look at reason and passion as dependent upone one another. We may have a greater balance to our lives. That touched me. I am currently in the process of creating my amazing life. And BALANCE is a key idea I am trying to master.
Really great holistic view of life. It's nice that he has such a wide range of guests come on. Thanks Jonathan!
Thanks Jonathan for amazing show!
Jonathan asks probing questions which reveal the paths of accomplished guests who incorporate spiritual practices into successful careers.
A Good Life is the target and Jonathan and his varied, entertaining, gifted guests give a variety of perspectives, experiences and directions. The information shared here enables the listeners to create their own targets in new ways and/or make approaches from different angles.
One of the best podcasts I've listened to that has helped guide me and better understand my spiritual path.
Jonathan asks the right questions and more in each interview. There is always something from what each podcast is highlighting that can be put into your own life practice. Well worth a listen.
Useful advice. HR professional need to listen to this podcast
Everything about this podcast is wonderful. Jonathan has been an autehntic and wise leader in the realm of personal development, kindness, and learning for many years and his wisdom shines through with both personal stories and fantastic guest interviews. Thank you for sharing your light Jonathan!
Loved the Glennon Doyle interview!
I aim to live an intentful life. This podcast puts me in a reflective mood and makes me really consider the values in my life and if I'm living according to them and to the best of my potential. There aren't many podcasts that are introspective as The Good Life. I recommend it enthusiastically!
I love your podcast- but I was disappointed that you allowed your speaker, Marianne Williamson, to speak politics on your podcast. She is a lovely spiritual teacher and activist. If I had been listening to a podcast about politics or where your guest is a politician, then such opinions are expected. The danger of not editing out your guests political opinions is that you alienate listeners who are hard working and look to your podcasts for inspiration. By the way, I am NOT a republican or conservative and never have been.
Jonathan choses amazing guests that inspire a simple and intentional life. His podcast reminds me of little ways I can change to have a better life. Very inpiring and the conversations he has go deep and he asks the right questions that dont just skim the surface. Great podcast!
Incredible, inspirational, candid, and meaningful content. In fact, it belongs in its own category because "self help" only scratches the surface around the amazing content, guests, and messages. Thank you, Jonathan.
The Good Life Project is my favorite podcast out there. Jonathan's insightful guests, thought-provoking riffs and practical tools have made a positive impact on my life since I started listening about a year ago. If you want to be challenged, humbled, inspired and heard, I encourage you to start listening. Thank you Jonathan for continuing to make your podcast about your listeners!!!
Every podcast is so rich with valuable insights and perspectives. Could be life changing. I highly recommend it!
Stumbled upon this podcast after Gretchen Rubin interviewed Jonathan on her Happier podcast. So happy to have Good Life Project on my commute to work!
Appreciate Jonathan's extensive conversations with guests from all walks of life, as well as his easily digestible "shorts." One of the best "new to me" podcasts I've encountered in a long while. I very much like the unhurried pace of the conversational volleys. Subscribed! Thanks, Jonathan & guests!
Very thoughtful & interesting podcast.
Great interviews and inspiration!!! Thanks for sharing these great talks you have with very interesting people!!!
This is a very informative podcast that's going to be very helpful in me beginning this new amazing year!!!
So much sincerity and genuine expression. The podcast is profound, meditative and cut deeply into the subtle part of our psyche. I have benefited from listening.
Just recently came into this podcast and absolutely love it! Jonathan is engaging with his guests, easy to listen to and provides wonderful insights. Great listen!!
I love this podcast. It has been a game changer in my life, especially now with his new book. Looking forward to the journey ahead. Oh and Jonathan's soothing voice keeps me coming back ☺️
What a great "feel good" podcast. I learned a lot and loved Simon Sinek. What a great human being.
I'm only a couple of days into the podcast and I'm already hooked!
I've been listening obsessively to The Good Life Project for a while now and savor each episode. I am grateful for Jonathan and his thoughtful and wise teachings, and know that I am a better and happier person for letting these ideas permeate and become a part of me. I cannot thank him enough for all he gives to my mental health and well being.
First I love his title- whenever I am stuck up in my head or fretting about work I can hear Jonathan's voice asking that question to his guests about 'what does it mean to live a good life'. This is a podcast that brings to light so much positive energy and creativity
I purchased the book "start with why" by Simon Sinek a few weeks ago, so when I saw you had a sit down with him, I was very excited. I've not read the book just yet but I love his POV on humanity! This was great. xoxo - JenellBStewart
This podcast came to me at the perfect time. I comtemplate the same questions about life and happiness and its great to hear a podcast with so MANY different perspective, yet all leading to the same thing. Much love you too!!!
I find this to be a constant inspiration and guiding light. Check it out!
Great guests, powerful questions, rich discussions.
I'm not the best with words or at this moment I can't find the right words to describe the value this podcast provides. It is amazing, helpful and uplifting. During one of the hardest moments of my life. I found it! I am eternally thankful to everyone who makes it happen.
I loved that interview, majorly inspiring to me.
This was my first listen to this podcast and I found it very engaging and interesting. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I will keep listening to this one!
Just love it... so inspiring...
Jonathan isn't afraid to ask the hard questions. The guests he chooses though aren't afraid or ashamed of answering them.
Always a joy to sit back and listen to a great spirit be interviewed by a true seeker of truth and light. I'm not always certain where it's going but I'm always certain I'll learn something.
I just discovered this podcast after being disappointed in similar ones. Topics are diverse and interesting and perfect compliment to cycling! I can't wait to tune in every day :)
Thank you Jonathan Fields for speaking my language of spirituality, and allowing me to not feel alone in my own quest for a good Life.
I've been listening to Good Life Project for awhile now. Excellent interviews that help me to live a simpler and richer life. If you haven't listened to the one with Panache Desai, do yourself a favor and listen NOW.
What I like about Jonathan is the tone he takes ... he has beliefs and message but they are never forced - simply offered. And he has great guests.
Always uplifting, encouraging and relatable to real life. Wonderful stuff!
A wonderful podcast. It has benefitted my life in so many ways. The guests are always interesting and truly have wisdom and light to share.
I'm currently walking through a season of doubt and discomfort yet knowing I'm a step closer to "the good life". These podcast have helped reassure me that I'm on the right path and it's ok not to see the next 5 years but to just put one foot in front of the other.
I really enjoy this podcast! Inspirational and great guests!
Very inspiring! Highly recommended.
I started reading "How to Live a Good Life" a few days ago and also recently began listening to this podcast and I am not disappointed at all. I have resonated with so many messages Jonathon and his guests share, I couldn't be happier. I feel like I am finally leading in the right direction to living a good life. Thank you, Jonathan!
Enjoyed the podcast and she was insightful as always.
I love the GLP. It helps remind me that we're all in this together. And to pay attention to what's important, love. It's what connects us all.
Thanks for having Ruben Chavez on! I really enjoyed the topics, questions, and dialogue.
I've been listening to approximately 2 GLP podcasts per day for the past two weeks and am so impressed! It's a pleasure to listen to the variety of speakers and topics covered, and I have already recommended this subscription to several friends. Listening to the Good Life Project podcast has already become a regular part of my driving routine and a part of my day I look forward to.
Great content. Found this podcast to listen to during workouts.
I'm locked in after the Alastair Humphreys episode. Great story telling of someone traveling a bold path.
I stumbled across this podcast last year & I have been listening ever since. I look forward to listening on my day off. I consider it a treat. Kind of like my favorite dark chocolate bar or getting a pedicure. ;) The host's voice is so relaxing, he covers great topics, and I always learn something. I come away feeling inspired and calm.
So grateful to learn about Jess Lively's work, which resonates deeply with me. This podcast has been such a profound source of inspiration; I started listening after attending the first #CampGLP in 2014, and have been an avid listener ever since & never taken the time to review. Confession: I have never written a single internet review, not on Yelp or any other platform (I am also rather silent social media participant). But I must break the silence to express my sincere appreciation for The Good Life Project. While it might be aimed at an entrepreneur audience, ALL people from any walk of life can stand to benefit from these conversations and I am so grateful to Jonathan Fields and the entire GLP team for continuously putting out quality content from the heart.
...or really just the best addition to any day. Love this podcast and how inspiring its messages are. Truly one of my favorites that I listen to!
I can hear him all day. I love his voice. This is a very relaxing listening and interesting topics. Keep the great work. I really enjoy your show. 😀
Love the variety and the exposure to new and interesting stories. Thanks!!
Each episode is filled with a story that pulls you in. It inspires me to lead a good life each day and show love to all those I come in contact with.
This podcast has changed the way I view what is possible in my own life. Jonathan Fields is someone I would truly love to meet one day. His calm, introspective demeanor invites guests and listeners into a deeper understanding of a wide range of issues and questions. It is one of the top 5 podcasts that I listen to each week.
Wonderful! Jonathan Fields guides thought-provoking conversations that question commonly held-beliefs and promote us all to look and listen to those around us more. The Good Life Project is a combination of wisdom and lessons on mindfulness and compassion. I have enjoyed many episodes and look forward to more. Thank you Jonathan Fields!
Just feels good, good discussions!
My husband and I just listened to The Minimalist while on the road. It was great to hear them talk about values defining your life. We have been traveling full time for four weeks now. This podcast was helpful in regards to help us deal with some issues we are facing.
Subscribe! You won't regret it.
I love listening while I am drawing and painting, such inspiring interviews. Jonathan does a great job with asking questions relevant to the guest, which is much better than the stereotypical scripts that some podcasts follow regardless of who is on their show. Great job, thanks!
I love all of the ideas and inspiration I get from this podcast. I've been listening for about 6 months now and it is really supporting my personal growth journey!
I listen to a LOT of podcasts and tend to jump around a lot from day to day depending on my mood. When I listen to an interview done by Jonathan Fields, it calms me down. Each interview is so rich and so real. I often feel like taking notes, and I actually do reverse or drag the play bar back to hear again, something that either he or one of his guests just said. The most difficult part of being a fan of this podcast is that he's extremely prolific and while there are many entire episodes I would listen to again, I am also eager to receive the latest one. I usually find time, either while walking the dog or driving my commute, that THIS is what I'd choose to hear. It's completely ruined my love of music and so now I'm going to more LIVE concerts. Haha!
I don't know how to describe it exactly, but it seems that sometimes I'm not sure what I want to listen to....when I stumbled upon the Good Life Project, every episode resonates with me on a very high level. Thank you so much for making these podcasts about all that's "within" and on varrying topics about growth!
Really enjoyed the interview with Karan Bajaj. Hearing that his sabbatical was not filled in stressful pursuit of getting better at something/anything was wonderful. Highly recommend a listen.
Great conversation Dr. Tsabury . Insightful and real .. Thankyou
Each podcast is a true gift to yourself.
Great guests and interesting topics! The host is a little chatty / familiar, but he steers the conversations in the right direction. Not a huge fan of the round table format.
These are conversations that I'd love to have, listening is next best thing- so thank you, Jonathan, for your generosity and sincerity!
I look forward to seeing a new episode in my i-tunes. Jonathan Fields is a thoughtful and nuanced interviewer. His guests are always fascinating and inspiring. Thank you Jonathan!
This podcast is simply inspiring.
I stumbled on this podcast through the recent Krista Tippet interview, which was well done. I like Jonathan Fields' style and appreciate who he chooses to invite. A small number of his guests have been people that I had some familiarity, but most are very new to me and leave me with some new perspective. I'm not an artist or an entrepreneur, but I have come to define creativity quite broadly and find so much in here that shapes how I approach my work, my family life, and my civic engagement. And the camp is something to add to my bucket list.
Love what you do and enjoy your inspirational messages and guest. Great podcast.
These conversations reach out to me and bring me to a place of introspection and self-reflection every time. It's fascinating listening to some of the deepest thinkers in the world, and I love where it brings my brain. The world needs more good life projects. Thank Jonathan fields for making this podcast!
Intimate, thought-provoking content. Each episode an instrument of elevation.
Wonderful podcast. Entertaining and thoughtful- great soul food!
Everything from the Good Life Project makes me walk away as a better, smarter and sometimes even happier person. Highly recommended!
Jonathan Fields is the perfect combination of business-savvy and spiritually-savvy. His interviews and riffs are filled with curiosity, insight, inspiration, and you come away feeling more positive, motivated, and whole as a human. Guests are leaders in a number of different fields and interviews are consistently excellent. Perfect for anyone looking to create a healthy mind, soul, body, professional, and personal life. Anytime I need a pick-me-up, as well as most mornings, I listen to this podcast.
I've only started listening to podcasts within the last 6 months, and I was immediately drawn to The Good Life Project. It's relates to "average" joes and provokes critical thinking. Definitely a lifer!!
Jonathan brings so much value in his podcast and work he does to try to bring good lives to us all
I love listening to Brene Brown. i've read her books too. She has brought to light the heart of what stops us from lifing fully. She is teaching us how to change and make new choices, at any point in life. I am so greatful for her courage. I am greatful to Jonathan for bringing her to us. These talks and interviews are very meaningful. Well worth listening to them.
Always love listening to Jonathan's conversations, and thought-provoking questions. He wraps every interview with the question: what does living a good life mean to you? And I am left with the same question question of myself. It's an awesome pulse check: is what I am doing today, in this moment, contributing to what it means to me to live a good life? Thanks, Jonathan!
Straight and to the point - this is one great podcast, if you need something to inspire you to be a better version of yourself, this is worth your time.
Literally life changing. Creative, innovative, Interesting, laugh out loud funny, compassionate, deep, fearless, and I am totally addicted. I am completely and utterly grateful to have found The Good Life Project. JF you make a difference in people's lives. Thank you!
I always learn something new from listening to these podcasts that I can apply in my personal life and business practice. I get a wonderful feeling of discovery of new ideas and knowledge that inspires me to be a more curious learner and better person.
Love the kind and depth of conversations Jonathan invites is to be a part of. I find myself agreeing with, disappointed in and growing because I took the time and listened to the podcast. I challenge you to not want to continue the conversation that is started.
Thank you for giving the best of your thoughts, ideas and actions for us to learn and grow from.
Always relevant to things going on in my life. It allows me to reflect, connect, grow and get excited about my new world of coaching!
I always walk away from each episode with so many little nuggets of good info and wisdom. Easy to listen and absorb, nothing so high-minded that you have to rewind 15 secs and say, "Huh? I don't get it." Very approachable, easy conversation.
Loved Jonathan as a yoga teacher. Now as an interviewer, I find him equally inspiring. Great conversations about life well lived and deep understanding.
I just found this podcast thanks to a friend. Loved the interview with Todd Henry. I felt as if I was sitting at a kitchen table listening to two men have a genuine, light hearted yet intelligent conversation. I almost felt like an eavesdropper. It was so natural and so inspiring. I am on Amazon purchasing Todd's book on the power of your voice, right now. Thank you for bringing the good life project to my iPhone. Can't wait to hear more!
That says it all. Thank you, Jonathan, for providing us the best interviews and wisdom.
I subscribe to a lot of podcasts and I don't always listen to them all, but I always go to the Good Life podcasts first. I'm always being introduced to people, books and ideas that I haven't encountered before on the Good Life podcasts. It's like the best comfort food, but one that's good for you.
I love the format of these interviews. The guest are great and Jonathan keeps it real.
Love this podcast! Great topics and conversations - they are engaging and thought provoking. I like the practical tips and reflections topics. Thanks for doing this.
John Leary is a wonderful human, no doubt about it. Just his perspective and belief system shine with simplicity and a big slice of humble pie. The interview was warm and inspiring. I felt like I was in the room listening in on some great stuff. I have dreams of being able speak to groups large and small, to be able to inspire not to be famous and not to be showy but to make a difference in someone's life. Loved the story of the first speaking engagement to three Girl Scouts (I was once one too) and the hours of prep that went into it. The point being John did it, he made it happen and from there he was off. Thanks so much for this podcast, Jonathan. Oh, and did I mention that John had an almost life ending experience as a boy, the result of which is physically with him today? But that wasn't even the real point of the interview. The power and beauty comes from the way we work with the setbacks to make us stronger and that we are always the better for it.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! I found Jonathan Fields about a year ago when looking for more play on Danielle La Porte and recently GLP came up on my Podcast suggestions. Jonathan's stuff keeps getting better and better. I love the Roundtable talks because it feels like you are with a group of friends just chatting it up and all the sudden the discussion provides so much clarity. Today I listened to John O'Leary. What a story. Lots of reasons this discussion hit home for me but the most important take away was that our story affects so many others. Thanks for that reminder John and Jonathan... keep up the great work!
An amazing app, I love it! Constantly listening and learning!
One of the best podcast I've ever heard. I own a small cleaning business and listen to this podcast daily while I'm cleaning. I was recommended this podcast from the minimalist podcast. I recommend this to all of my friends, it's fantastic!
I love listening to Good Life while I'm walking the dogs -- it is always interesting and inspiriing. I come away feeling like I've learned something worthwhile. Some of the conversation linger in my mind long after the podcast is over. I appreciate the insight and depth!
Jonathan, terrific interview with Arianna Huffington! Thank you for sharing it. Thank you, as well, for your thoughtful and engaging topics and interviews each week. Cheers!
Bravo on such a beautiful podcast and keep up the gems of knowledge you keep sprinkling in every single one of these episodes. "The Content Marketing Delusion" really hit home. Such a great podcast for entrepreneurs, creatives, and anyone who's interested in conscious growth.
I really enjoy the conversations between Jonathan and his guests. More than an interview, this is a *conversation* that sounds like a conversation between two very wise friends. I often recommend specific episodes to friends, but every single one of the podcasts is terrific.
Jonathan has fantastic guests and an engaging interview style. He and his guests open vistas of possibility to me and spark my creativity. I look forward to each new episode, and he broadcasts in several different formats every week which increases my listening pleasure. I regularly recommend it to my family and friends and suggest you give it a try.
I just discovered this podcast and have spent some time in the archives and I LOVE it! The “Riffs” are great, and the longer-form interviews are insightful, interesting, and funny. I’m very happy to have found this podcast!
Jonathan - I have been dying to tell you that the Round Table format is AMAZING! I LOVE IT! I also love your riffs. You were talking recently about being more engaged when you're in the same room with someone - and I must say, Jonathan, you and your guests in the Round Table deliver quite an engaging and fascinating show! The riffs are absolutely perfect for when I just need a little break to get away from the ish and remember what's good. Thanks for Good Life Project!
I listen to a series of podcasts on my commute, but this one has become my recent favorite. The conversations Jonathan has are so sincere. His guests are clearly well practiced thoughtful experts on a variety of topics. I find them easy to listen to and often find myself laughing or nodding along since they're speaking to precisely what I'm struggling with. Thanks Jonathan!
Thank you for sharing
Lots of the episodes are great to listen to on my various commutes. Some of them, however, seem a bit self-indulgent & esoteric, just my 2 cents! :) I’ve enjoyed being introduced to the various guests via the podcast and love to hear from new people, hearing about life experiences and what has been gleaned from those experiences. Those are my favorite parts.
Hey Jonathon! I just wanted to drop a note to say how much I love this show. I look forward to each and every episode. I appreciate your attention to business from a mindful lens and the thoughtfulness with which you put together the show. Thank you!
I learn so much from every podcast. Jonathan asks a good question and then steps back to let his guests shine.
I'm mid-30s with an entrepreneurial spirit, yet have always been in a larger corporate environment. This podcast still applies. I find it inspirational in how to live better in my realm, see beyond the daily struggles, overcome when real life brings the huge challenges and just mature to that next step. Thank you.
This podcast strikes a positive chord with me. There is something to be gained from each episode. Jonathan Fields is multidimensional and he delves into deep and sometimes uncomfortable subjects with carefully selected and delivered prose. No words are ever wasted and I hang on each one. He is absolutely brilliant - a true gift for podcast listeners.
really enjoy this podcast and find it very helpful. it's always a boost of motivation. i definitely recommend to anyone looking to better themselves
Intelligent, informative, and uplifting.
I love listening to this podcast. So much truth and great conversations and learning abound here. I’ve been listening for a month or so and have just been listing back throughout the archives. So much to love here.
I really enjoy this podcast and I'm grateful for the honesty and kind..courageous conversations. I've been on a healing journey for about 4 years and I get down more often than I use to because I'm allowing myself to feel all of my emotions, being present. This program empowers me and lifts me up. Love and Light B✌🏽️
For those of us who have attended an event where Jonathan Fields hosts or presents you know you're in the presence of a man who loves to bring people together for a common purpose........to encourage the best in humanity and to be of service to others. Since you only get that chance to actually see him from time to time, the podcast arena is a great way to get your "medicine', the good kind, the kind you don't have to shove down. That's because Jonathan loves the people he interviews and there is synergy between the conversants. I haven't listened to a podcast that didn't make me think "oh yeah, I should/will remember that".
This is a great podcast to listen for inspiration, great talks, and excellent advice!
thank you for your wonderfully inspiring program filled with great life stories and beautiful examples of learning
I really enjoy the info on cutting edge what I would call solid marketing concepts
How do I begin to write the review of my favorite podcast? I’m a podcast JUNKIE. I listen to them all, from Tim Ferriss to This American Life & everything in between. Not to mention I’ve been binging on Oprah & Charlie Rose to study their interview technique since I was in my dorm room in college; in short, I adore the art of the interview. And Jonathan Fields truly nails it. The interviews that leave me feeling alive, that bring me heart-to-heart with the humanity of interesting people I’ve never even met but feel I’ve gotten to know, that spark my creative brain—these interviews all require, in my opinion, two key ingredients: they demand an interviewer with a sharp insightful intellect and an empathetic, intuitive connection to their heart. All good interviews that elevate the listener afterwards, IMO, demonstrate this magical duality of love & insight, where the words flow organically and the energy between two people alchemizes the conversation into an exploration. Jonathan does this better than anyone I know. I cringe when listening to great people being interviewed by dull brains and trite inquiries, and I lose interest when listening to brilliant people being rotely grilled with passionless checklists of questions. But The Good Life Project takes what could have been an ordinary conversation and gives it life. Listening to it (in video but especially audio format) makes me feel more human, less alone, more enlightened, and simply connected. If you’re looking for an unparalleled quality of guests from a diversity of backgrounds to be engaged in impassioned conversation by someone smart and soulful, this podcast is your best bet.
Lots of wisdom here. I really enjoy listening.
A wonderful, well executed conversation style podcast (not exactly interview style). Insightful ideas & a fresh perspective. Reoccurring ideas touch upon the podcast's theme, but within each episode both host & guest always have something new to bring to the table. Thank you for such a great podcast!
I've been listening to this podcast off and on for several months, only downloading the ones I found to be of interest but I just CAN'T anymore. I tried - it's too bad because most of the content is good but the host's insufferable tone, affect and constant taking over of the mic (so to speak) grates on my nerves. Let your guests speak! And stop trying to constantly turn the conversation to you and your experiences. It does a disservice to your listeners when you're constantly trying to interject with tidbits from your life. Ughhhhh
I've enjoyed listening to Jonathan's podcasts for the past few years. I'm not a creative person by nature but his podcasts inspire and are thought provoking which helped bring out inner creative self. Try one and you'll be hooked.
This is such a gift to myself right now, as I take time between projects to figure out how to make my next thing more meaningful and fulfilling. Even interviews that seem far away from my area give little nuggets of insight.
Just had my first dose of the Good Life Project, started with Elena Brower podcast. What a great podcast. Looking forward to listening to many more.
Especially the conversation with Elena Brower. So inspiring and genuine!
Good insight so far, I especially like topics of efficiency that ultimately make me produce better results and end up happier with less stress
I love this podcast. Lost of excellent guests, lots of really intriguing topics and I always come away more excited about my own life. Lots of stuff I didn’t know I didn’t know and that is really useful and valuable in the experience of living life. Yay you!!! I hope to see you at camp this summer!!!
The Good Life Project podcast is an amazing opportunity to listen to powerful conversations that inspire and provide new lenses through which to view the world. Highly recommended! Especially the one with Brene Brown!
I love that you put this out there. A conversation not an interview. It's one of the main reasons I listen to this podcast, two people sharing a space, conversing and discovering along the way.
I love this podcast! I love Jonathan's conversations with inspirational people and feel like he is a friend (although I only know him through this venue). I have many books on my nightstand, blogs to read, podcasts to listen to and new thoughts to ponder thanks to GLP. You won't be disappointed.
This is my favorite place to get the in-depth inside scoop on my favorite people.
I have been listening to and way back watching the Good Life Project for a long time. I always get something helpful or enlightening. It seems as if Jonathan posts a new interview and quick riff right when I need it. Thank you.
I love listening to Jonathan and what he has to offer. His manner is warm and his insights inspirational.
Loved the interview with John Lee Dumas. Super inspiring. Love the GLP. Thank you, Jonathan!
This podcast has literally changed my life. I have found so many new inspirational people to help me through this thing we call life. Thank you Jonathon for creating such a nourishing environment.
I've been following Jonathan since he published Uncertainty (loved it—read it) and have watched his work and service unfold since. Jonathan connects to remarkable people with illuminating journeys to share. His guests and conversations are interesting and inspiring. I've never been disappointed in an episode—and that's from the beginning of the early on-site video conversations. I'm grateful to have been along for this journey. Having written that, I realize that each GLP conversation is a journey. Authentic and helpful. Worth listening to regularly if your intention is to open your heart and mind, especially if you need a lift to help open a window to your soul possibilities.
Wonderful podcast addressing the big issues that are important today!
This is by far the podcast and website I refer more than any other one on the web! I often refer to Jonathan Fields as the "Oprah of the Internet" - his interviews and guests provide such an amazing mix of teaching us something new, personal life story and thought provoking nuggets. Take the time to tune in and listen to this podcast if you thirst for knowledge in several industries, if you are an aspiring or successful entrepreneur, if you are seeking “successful” role models on how to live a thoughtfully good life, if you are interested in cutting edge / innovative practices in a variety of areas or, if you simply want to be a fly on the wall of a super interesting and thoughtful convo.
I stumbled across this podcast while searching for Brené Brown interviews and have been hooked ever since. Thank you for having the courage to produce this beautiful podcast and I'm grateful for your time and effort.
The interviews are very inspiring. Jonathan’s questions are often the ones I am hoping to hear answers to , and the topics vary but focus on creating a life of purpose and value while maintaining one’s integrity . I haven’t listened to all of the topics, but the ones I have, truly end up helping me to imagine a more interesting world which includes the entrepreneur as well as the artist, the parent as well as the professional. Wonderful, inspiring and insightful. Thank you Jonathan!
Jonathan Fields commands attention through his even-keeled, endearing voice as he knowledgeably leads long interviews and short riffs. The variety of topics and experts we are introduced to through this podcast enables new areas of exploration for all through easily understood sessions.
I just discovered this podcast today and can't get enough. The subjects/stories are interesting the questions are clever and after listening i'm left feeling uplifted, inspired and motivated to aim higher. Thank you dearly.
Being a regular listener, I've heard a number of helpful and inspiring casts from this particular podcast. The latest one on Gratitude has struck me as the most beneficial of the ones I've heard thus far.The masculinist value system inherent in our culture has fostered an unhealthy arrogant independence that serves only to isolate us from each other. Gratitude is one bar against the hatred and negativity that weighs heaviest on everyone I know. Thank you Jonathan, for presenting us with a vision that can only serve to enrich and enliven us toward the best people we are meant to be.
I appreciate the variety of guests and meaningful conversations. I always learn something new. Thank you.
I dare you not to feel inspired after listening to this podcast. Anyone on the path of personal growth, professional growth or on the quest for creative self expression can benefit from the honest, practical and uplifting interviews and short segments from Good Life Project. I love to listen to this one while cooking, coloring, commuting and/or having a cup of tea.
In the old days (Ancient Greek) there were two threads of philosophy. The analytical part dominated schools and western culture, but the other thread was the truest gem in philosophy and so tragic few people noticed it. This thread began, apparently, with Socrates roaming the streets of Athens asking all the Wise Ones what it meant to lead a good life? This question is infinite, there is no finite answer and then a time move on, we must continuously ask this question to make sure we are on target for a good life. How sad it is that analytical philosophy became the poster child for "Philosophy" as a major in college. It is wiser to put the question "What makes for a good life?" as the poster child for Philosophy. Maybe our world would be a happier place. Maybe Lawyers and Surgeons wouldn't go to school, ring up huge debts for school, only to find out they hate their careers, just as one example! Yes, I do believe the question "What makes a Good Life?" surpasses almost all other questions about the human condition. This podcast is incredibly enlightening and a treasure for humanity. Host Jonathan Fields is the most intelligent of hosts, a master of subtle important questions and supreme communication skills. I am profoundly inspired by this podcast and out of my 10 years of listening to podcasts, this one has some of the most "nutrition" available in audio form. Fantastic!!!! A++++++ Thank you!!!!
It's a breath of fresh air to hear from real people about real life experiences. I always tell my co-workers about the podcasts after my long drives and the conversations we have afterwards are always great! Thank you for interviewing people with experiences and careers that are so applicable to any field.
I found you after seeing an interview with Mark Nepo whom I follow. You've been added to my list of podcasts. Thanks for sharing the love.
I’ve been listening to Jonathan Fields for about 4 years, and I adore the work he shares with everyone. I listen to all his podcasts and I always have these connections with other things I know… his conversations illuminate my own thoughts. Even when the guest is someone who I would not typically seek to spend an hour with - because their work is outside my interests – I listen anyway, and always get some meaningful little life lesson out of it. Thank you Jonathan, for always striving for us!
Gorgeous conversations that inspire growth gently without pretending that life will be easy going forward. That said, life will become sweeter because you're awake (and, these conversations contribute to waking you up). Thank you, Jonathan Fields.
This is actually making an impact on my life, and here's a little thank you note. Thank u
This is one of my favorite podcast channels I listen to it while I walk and commute it helps me feel excited about exercising and driving The subject matter is so uplifting and inspiring and just good good good thank you!
I absolutely love this podcast! Jonathan Fields is such an insightful and gracious host. He brings the best speakers on this show. Definitely would give it 5 stars!
Listen every week. Insightful, casual, meaningful conversations with people who have lessons to share. The conversations I wish I could have with the people I love.
I love this podcast. It's one of my favorite because it's so diverse in topics that all have to do with living fully and gracefully. Amazing job. Guest speakers are great and so is the host!
Loved the show today! Encouraging and inspiring!
So inspirational! From one fellow health seeker to another - thank you for your time, effort and energy. Here’s to living a life intentionally - healthFULLY and Rockin it out with LOVE! X X X
I’m a huge fan of this podcast being first introduced to the video podcast some time ago. The guests are varied and interesting while the “Good Life Riffs” are thoughtful. Two things that really stand out are Jonathan’s ability to ask amazing questions that uncover gems that most would gloss over. It also speaks to his genuine curiosity about those around him. Being the talkative introvert, it’s inspired and given guidance on how I can practice out what I feel inside towards others. The second part that was bemoaned by another reviewer was of Jonathan’s input in the conversations. The guests are amazing and interesting, but Jonathan’s insights and depth of knowledge and experience greatly enhance the podcast. I can say I’m better because of listening to it.
I can not begin to tell you how many solo walks, hikes, working in the garden , house , painting I have spent with GLP ! I have never ever turned one podcast off thinking it was not for me , nor interesting, nor inspiring. Thank you hundreds of times over. Only thing missing is that I LOVE a walk and talk… and I can not ask questions or dialogue with you or your guests and so often I have the desire to !
This is not typically the type of podcast I would listen to, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I got into it based on one of the guests and have been listening since. At first, I found the fact that Fields sounds a LOT like Ira Glass to be annoying, but I’m over it :-) That said… The podcast has two modes. The shorter of the two — usually 5-10 minutes, is sort of a rah-rah thoughtful message from Jonathan that are great. The longer mode involves conversations with guests. Listeners should understand that Jonathan is not a journalist/interviewer who sits down with a list of questions. He is an intelligent, educated, and experienced person with great conversational skills. You’re listening to hear the interaction between the two, not just what the guest says. For instance, you can listen to, say, Elizabeth Gilbert anywhere. The point here is that you can listen to Gilbert and Fields interact and feed off each other. I’ve begun using Good Life Project podcasts with my college-level Professional Writing students.
One after word, sentence after sentence, interview after interview, Jonathan and team over-delivers every time. I believe that this podcast is something to live a good life by.
I found The Good Life Project on a nine hour drive to Minnesota. Instead of stopping to take bathroom breaks, I was stopping at rest stops so I could sit down and write, reflecting on the most recent interview I had just heard and what it inspired in me. I so appreciate Jonathan Field’s mind and vast knowledge - not just intellectually but emotionally and spiritually. It’s that work he has done which enables him to create an incredible space for authors, artists, entrepreneurs, and all around interesting folks to open up, be honest and inspire all of us to live our very own Good Life.
I have been looking for a podcast through which I can both learn new skill and deepen my attention. GLP offers just that and more. I get sharper, deeper, and more hopeful. Thank you!!!
I will listen to this one again - because Elizabeth makes me laugh out loud, especially when she describes Inspiration getting you to jump without a net and coming back to your broken self when you land flat on your face to “that was so much fun - wanna do it again?” The reason I did not give this one a 5 is because it would be great if Jonathan could let Elizabeth talk more, allow more quiet moments on his side. Sometimes I could feel him dying to jump in. Listen more and allow your guest to fully open and stay there.
The content is insightful and keeps me listening to more. Thanks for creating this great discourse. Such rich topics for a creative entrepreneur.
I wish I had the words to describe how much I enjoy and appreciate the Good Life Project conversations; however, there simply aren't words sufficient to describe how deeply I appreciate these talks. These conversations have inspired me, motivated me, caused me to reconsider ways of thinking, and all-around has aided in my growth as a person. Thank you so very much for sharing these talks. Keep up the good work! Blessings.
Seriously, I just love this podcast. The guests, the topics, the conversation, the clarity, the insight is absolutely spot on. I have learned SO so much from your work Jonathan Fields, truly, I am fully grateful for the experience of listening to you & your guests. Thank you. :)
I have listened to three episodes after discovering this podcast a couple of weeks ago. The Elizabeth Gilbert interview was really good and made useful distinctions between passion and inspiration and between the internal and external muse. Consider me creatively ignited!
Always enjoy Good Life Project podcasts and get something out of them. Many times I find little nuggets or synchronicities with what's happening in my own life. I love it when that happens! Keep podcasting, Jonathan!
One of the great things about these deep conversations is that they are DEEP. The format of an hour lets the conversation go to places that can't be covered in a 15 minute "plug my book" format, and it also allows for a spontaneity, a winding through ideas, rather than a cleaving to a script. I don't think I've listened to a single episode that doesn't have something important and meaningful in it. It's really inspiring, and at the same time calm, and deliberate. It's often the sound track of my workspace too. It also introduces me to the work of smart people I might have missed - double win. Bravo, Jonathan, and thank you!
I really enjoy listening to the podcasts. They are not all home runs, but in general the conversations help me think about problems and solutions in a different way.
I return to the Good Life Project podcast and blog weekly, daily, sometimes even hourly to remind me to stop, look up, and think differently about the way I approach my life and the lives of others. Inspiring doesn’t do justice to the impact GLP has, but it’s certainly a Day-0 start for that definition.
If you want inspiration, insight, wisdom, subscribe to this podcast. Jonathan Fields is one of the best interviewers out there. I absolutely love these.
And that's an understatement.
I take nuggets from episodes and apply them to all parts of my life. Love listening to Jonathan whether it is his wisdom he is sharing or interviews. Thank you Jonathan for spreading much value and love. He deeply cares. What he is speaking, it is really coming from a place wanting to help everyone! Love it.
I have been a fan of Jonathan’s work for a long time. The Good Life Project has been one of my favorite podcast since the beginning. I love Jonathan’s style of interviewing, where as a listener I feel more like I am sitting in on a really deep conversation rather than a traditional interview. Keep up the good work because learning from this podcast is one of the elements that make my life good!!
GLP is a fascinating series of in depth, personal discussions on a variety of topics. I particularly resonate with the discussion between Alice Wilder and Jonathan. This podcast contains some enlightening discussion of the importance of creativity and play, how to tap into what lights you up, and the necessity on continually reinventing yourself. The discussion focuses on curiosity and play with kids, as this is Dr. Wilder's field. There were some places where the concepts were applied to adults, but I feel there is another podcast focusing on how the creative muscle can be strengthened in adults, especially those of us who repressed it for so long.
In love with this podcast. The host discusses subjects that truly matter. Both he and his guests share the art of compassion which can often times seem lacking in our society. It's a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work and keep your chin up!
Jonathan Fields provides insightful interviews that draw out the heart and spirit of his guests. There is much to learn from the accomplished individuals he speaks with as well as from the perspectives illuminated by these quality conversations.
Jonathan Fields earns your trust and respect-every time. Repeatedly I find that even if I start to listen [and right there is the right intention take off spot] to an episode that seems uninteresting or not immediately relevant to my life, it inevitably contains something quite valuable, insightful, often from the left field where you weren't looking and indeed needed to pay attention. There is always value and this is a rare thing.
I don't know how to say it any better than that. Great stories, wonderful insights. Real courage. New ways of looking at things.
The Good Life Project is a very thoughtful and inspiring listen. The interviews with creatives, makers and extraordinary thinkers are captivating, authentic and richly layered. I look forward to every new podcast while I'm also making my way through the ones I missed before I discovered GLP.
I really like this podcast and the great insight and attitude Jonathan brings across. It covers a great mix of things from business to spirituality. Cool stuff - highly recommended!!
Irrespective of topic, these podcasts are inspirational, thought-provoking, and totally absorbing. Jonathan is an amazingly talented interviewer; he keeps conversations going in interesting and insightful directions. So many times, I’ve clicked on a podcast doubting that I’d find the topic engaging; but, EVERY time, I get hooked: Jonathan consistently taps into universal themes. So glad to have stumbled onto the GLP!!
Jonathan, You've been so influenial on me. I listen to your podcast almost every week, and I watched your webcast before you transformed it. Such amazing content. Ideas that stay with me. I like the way you share your experiences and reflections alongside your questions for your guests. I really like your experimental formats and your representation of being a work in progress yourself. I wonder why, when you invite people to give reviews, you say something like "please leave a review - always honest." Why would you think I, or your other listeners, wouldnt' be honest? And why wouldn't you assume that if we're listening that we like you and what you're doing? Please think the best of us out here in Listener Land.
I think what Jonathan is attempting with this podcast is so critical for modern times. Every conversation he’s cultivated that I have listened to has resonated with me on so many different levels. I am especially grateful for his February 3, 2015 podcast with guest David surrounding the realities of living with trauma. I was so moved by this conversation in fact I listened over and over again until I could tell this story to my family in a way that would encourage them to listen as well. It started a conversation that I hope will help my whole family move in the direction of healing. The value in that, for me, can not be overstated. So thank you Jonathan for all you do and all the people I have ‘met' through you and David for sharing your story and helping me and the people I love (hopefully) feel less isolated. With gratitude, Caitlyn Ray Lacey. P.S. I think the people who are critical because you “interrupt” too frequently miss the fact that you ask your questions and share your perspective with unlimited kindness and zero expectation. Or at least that is my take. Thanks again.
Really interesting topics for personal development and daily enlightenment.
Jonathan Fields inspired me deeply with his words on the stage of the inaugural WDS. He said, and I am paraphrasing: “Anything that’s worth doing, you will not have complete information about. The only way you will have complete information is IF you or someone else, has done it before. At which point, that thing that you are trying to create, becomes simply something that you are trying to REcreate, that someone has already done. Is that what you are here to do?” Jonathan is a deep, thoughtful searcher of the truth. He asks good questions and speaks to wonderful humans. His work continues to get better and better. And in these turbulent times, of unprecedented uncertainty, knowing simply, that we are not alone, is, to me, of great comfort. I promise, you will enjoy this podcast.
Amazing conversations, inspiring journeys and smart questions. A must listen.
I listen to this show here and there. Especially when the topic or guest is about something I currently deem critical to my forward movement. The Susan Cain interview was one such interview. I'd read her book a year after it came out. Life changing and life affirming for me. Lots of validation for my viewpoint and thinking style was gained. But many other interviews haver kicked major a** too. Listen to this show.
It doesn’t matter if I listen to a full length podcast or one of JF’s riffs, I AWLAYS get something out of this podcast. If you want to hear in interview, go somewhere else. If you want to sit in on a THOUGHT-PROVOKING CONVERSATION, then this podcast is for you! Thank you Jonathan Fields for this contribution to my good life!
I confess that I gravitate to the shorter episodes, but invariably I am rewarded with an articulate, thoughtful piece that pushes me to think more deeply about the topic and often take an action step that has the potential to enrich my life. The interviews I’ve listened to are warm and friendly, and they often give a different angle into the lives and motivations of the guest than many other interviews.
I am always challenged and pushed to growth through each podcast! I especially appreciate the good life riffs. Thanks so much Jonathan!
I follow Jonathan and his project and have been for some time now. Like any program of this type, some episodes will resonate and others will not. Sometimes, Jonathan’s monologue or guest interview will be exactly what I need to year at that particular time. Other times, the program is for someone else. That does not diminish the value that Jonathan brings. I have a relatively short attention span these days, so sometimes the longer episodes blow past me. I always focus on the shorter pieces and often find nuggets of wisdom that I can apply right away. The shorts really work for me. The longer episodes require more focus than I often have, but are also worthwhile investments because many of GLP’s guests bring much to the table. I encourage folks to give these a listen. Spend some time on the shorter episodes to gain a sense of what GLP and Jonathan are about. Then venture into some of the longer interviews and enjoy both the wisdom and the interplay of the folks who participate. Recommended!
I’m always so excited to hear the newest podcast from Jonathan. My favorite activity is a five mile run while being inspired by Jonathan & his guests. I’m a small business owner and this is a must-listen daily and I love his voice.
This is one of my *favorite* podcasts. Even the people I don't think I'll be interested in have valuable insights and interesting stories -- I love the variety of guests, as well as the many powerful, inspiring women Jonathan interviews. THANK YOU for the inspiration, Jonathan!
I absolutely love this podcast, Jonathan Fields, and the wide variety of guest speakers and topics. A world without GLP is a sad world indeed.
I just listened to 3 in a row and the variety was refreshing! Particularly loved Julie Piatt interview-- so well done. She introduced some different approaches to health and education without being "judgy". Inspired me to look at things in a different way.
I am so grateful for this podcast and the quality of the interviews. Jonathan has a great gift and the interviews he provides always bring much needed personal inspiration and insight. Don't we all want to know what a good life entails and how to live it? I love and appreciate this theme throughout. I am always inclined to share these interviews with friends and family which never fails to stimulate very meaningful conversations. Sincere thank you.
Love listening to the Good Life Project. My current favorite interview is with Brene Brown. “When you start to dare greatly, you start holding up a very uncomfortable mirror to people.” WOW. Great insight and inspiration to keep moving forward, to be willing to fail and to keep going anyway. Here’s to stepping into the arena.
Your podcast is the first thing I wake up to it helps me get my mind focused in the right direction - creating my good life
I really enjoyed the round table POD cast it was a nice change from your standard format Keep pushing the envelope
Jonathan is the best interviewer I've ever heard. He asks the questions you want to ask yourself. The guests are inspirational and great picks. I only wish I could afford the immersion program. Hopefully one day. Keep up the good work, GLP!
Thank you J.F.
I found this podcast recently and have made the choice to listen to a new recording almost everyday since my discovery. I love how genuine and authentic all of the interactions are on this podcast. Every conversation is different and unique in itself. Listening to Fields podcast is like sitting down at a table with close friends. This has been essential to fueling my personal development! I am inspired by the depth and substance acheieved in each podcast. As an aspiring entrepreneur I can't get enough! hopefully they continue the camp/immersion program - one day I hope to attend. :)
Excellent interview. Sincere, honest speaker who has the experience and intelligence to be helpful to other vets. Thanks.
This podcast is brilliant! Thank you!
I really enjoy listening to Good Life Project. The interviews are insightful, thoughtful, and I like the organic flow of the conversation. I sense that Jonathan Fields has a lot of compassion and curiosity and this truly comes forth in his interviewing skills. I have taken away some many wonderful insights from these interviews. Thank you Jonathan Fields.
I love this podcast. It covers such a wide variety of topics and people. Really uplifting and meaningful.
Deep gratitude to Jonathan & crew for an uplifting, thought-provoking program that resonates deeply. I love listening to the diverse guests & topics who bring a rich cache of nuggets & gems to the dialogue! In each episode I find treasures of wisdom, insight and honesty that deepen my thinking, fine tune my perspective, and expand my heart. GLP - part of my good life project.
The February 14, 2015 podcast with David Morris was utterly fantastic. I usually enjoy Good Life Project podcasts, but this one, with David Morris, is exceptionally intelligent. I was taken aback again and again as Morris went from Shaskespeare to Frankl to Philip K. Dick to cognitive dissonance theory to a remarkably nuanced perspective on PTSD and thensome. It's a rare moment to have one's brain cells titilated by such intellectual virtuosity. I'm going to buy the book. Good job, Jonathan Fields.
I love this podcast! I am always looking forward to a new episode to listen to on my commute into work. This podcast has given me such a sense of belonging to a group of like minded people who unfortunately don't exist in my current circles. Keep them coming!
Jonathan and Erin, Thoroughly enjoyed the podcast, Starting the walk back to life. Definitely struck a chord in me. Thanks for sharing. God Bless
Jonathan fields is an amazing interviewer, it seems so natural. I really enjoy listening and love all of his guests. The eposioides flow so effortlessly, both parties always seem so comfortable and out of it comes these amazing stories, that inspire me to be stronger, be more open, be fearless, be more giving, be more loving. And live a good life. Thank you Jonathan!
I can’t remember who recommended this to me, or where I may have heard of this podcast, but since I’ve started listening, I’ve become completely addicted. Thoughtful, wonderful, insightful - these conversations are so deeply satisfying and have really impacted my perspective on work, creativity, and well, life stuff. Thank you Jonathan!
Loved the Terri Cole episode. Just found this podcast a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to go back and listen to the older episodes. GLP has Good Content. Wisdom for the Soul on many different levels.
Brilliant podcast with brilliant guests - thank you!
As a woman, married for 20 years, divorced for 3: this episode was so meaningful. It helped me along my path to healing and understanding more of what it means to " work" at a marriage. It gave me tools to possibly help me if I ever marry again. Thank You for your wisdom, both of you.
Jonathan Fields in as inspiration. Genuine and intelligent.
Currently on my must-listen list. Unlike many interview shows, the Good Life Project doesn't seem overly scripted (each episode is slightly different in format) and the host (Jonathan Fields) asks intelligent and beneficial questions. The interviews appear to be among two or more very intelligent people having a conversation.
An inspiring, life-affirming hour. Thank you for making this podcast. I'm enjoying it immensely.
Thank you! It was so touching to hear how you two shared so much about the deep down fears and hurt that all of us entrepreneurs deal with and I related so much to the parenting issues as well. I felt so great that we do have those of us in this world who are making a difference by helping those that we are deeply passionate about and to realize that those cynical non-living critics on the bleachers are suffering so deeply inside themselves, that we should just have compassion and not feel hurt by their attacks. It made my day so much lighter and joyful. Thank you again. Josie
The conversations, ideas, and insights between Jonathan Fields and his fantastic lineup of guests are unparalleled. I love this podcast.
Your interview with Brene Brown is excellent. Many good things to think about and embrace. Living wholeheartedly is my goal. Great work!
I love the Good Life Project. It is thoughtful, mindful, and always seems to hit home in the best way. Jonathan Fields is a great interviewer and always has such good insight as well. One of my faves...
Yes, Yes, Yes. I am so glad to have MORE information about sugar and it’s effects on mY health. The only thing that prevents me from hitting 5 stars is my time and ability to listen distraction free for an hour. Sometimes I want to capture new information in slightly smaller chunks of time, say 30 minutes.
Love this program!!! I will listen to it again. JJ is my new hero! And I’m so grateful for the Good Life Project!
Life changing interviews and very inspiring.
Of course if you scroll down you're going to see a lot of 5 Star reviews. Why? First because Jonathan has a zillion fans! But beyond that because not only does he invite completely fascinating people doing interesting and important work in this world, but because Jonathan is much more than a "talking-head" interviewer that had some flunky staff-member brief him in "Clift-notes" an hour before the "guest" arrives. He isn't just asking questions—it isn't a mere interview—it is a true conversation in which (those if us that have been following Jonathan for any length of time know) not only will the person being "interviewed" of course have something worthwhile to listen to, but our ears perk up when Jonathan speaks as well because we know he isn't just yapping to stroke his ego. Not only does he actually have something noteworthy to add to the conversation, but that his input with wring an even deeper input in the conversation from his guest. No doubt that any author—after answering and re-answering slightly different variations of the same questions—might tend to slip unto "auto-pilot" and dish out rote answers. That is never going to happen in a Jonathan Fields interview.
I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO LOVE THIS PODCAST AS MUCH AS I DO. Jonathan Fields is a bit of a buz in the marketing world, and seemed, from a far , to be one of these new age, internet, guru- like types with beautiful sales copy . His mass appeal had me skeptical, I tend to find the most moving, inspirational and high quality content in the corners where no one is looking. I gravitate to the grunge, The unpolished, the real, the raw and the questioning. And yet, despite the expensive website, the courses, the seminars and the beautiful business backend, I cannot help but notice that there is big - time art here too. Although some part of me hates joining the masses, and being just another fan to a big internet name. This is just so good, and it’s rapidly getting better each episode. I’m excited to see where and how this project will grow.
Jonathan has the ability to interview his guests in a way in which I can relate to. He is able to ask the questions that are always on my mind from the amazing people that have accomplished or are on their way to accomplish great things. It encourages me to really question the path I am taking in my life and how I can make it better and help others around me.
Jonathan is an informed interviewer with an authentic presence. I love the diversity of guests and the in-depth interviews. I feel more engaged and hopeful after listening to guests who are tackling some tough issues.
Unlike many others, I didn't start as a Jonathan Field's acolyte, but I am warming up to him :) I found the conversation with Tara quite interesting, and the discussion with Ash outstanding. I'm officially addicted. I disagree with those who take issue with the conversational vs interview approach. The 'gold' emerges through the interaction of host and guest.
Thank you for a wonderful podcast with Tara. You two are incredibly inspiring and it was a pleasure to listen to. Keep up the good work!
Jonathan brings an intensely heart centered approach to interviewing and is quite adept into bringing his guests into that same warm space. The title of this podcast defines everything I'm interested in and Jonathan delivers. Production quality is also excellent.
Jonathan is one of the most erudite and thoughtful people to listen to. The Erin Moon interview was one for the ages. Deeply poignant, brutally honest, raw and visceral, it touches your soul in a way no other podcast episode has to date for me. Through what must have been an incredibly difficult interview to conduct and to give, Jonathan and Erin's poise, honesty and profound insights are nothing short of extraordinary and exemplary.
You think it’s just another interview, until it is not! The flow of each conversation has a crescendo that always amazes, paralyzes you or takes your breath away… no, it makes you breath like never before. Just because you realize: “oh, so he/she feels that, too!” and you are not alone.
I just found GLP a few days ago after joining a blog challenge. Everything just keeps falling out in front of me as I do a lot of soul searching. This podcast and Jonathan Fields is just what the doctor ordered. Two quotes I can't get out of my head: "I want to earn enough to live well and give well" "Don't just build a living, build a life" Can't wait to dig deeper into what Jonathan considers the three critical elements to leading a good life: Vitality, Connection, & Contribution. Seriously check it out, you won't be sorry.
I like Erin Moon. I can feel her pain and courage in the conversation. Well said. “to live a good life is to accept that we are all an awesome mess"
an incredible interview... so many of us face that cross roads - choosing between is this pain all there is why should I go on to keeping a promise and finding a way... Ms Moon was brilliant and open and frank. A must listen to.
Erin Moon’s interview on the #goodlifeproject was incredible. One of the most honest and moving bits I have heard in a while. Thank you for sharing!
Love this podcast! Since stumbling upon it a few weeks ago, it has reigned champion over all other podcasts for what I listen to!
Jonathan Fields hits it out of the park with this project! I have been watching the videos-awesome, but was soooooo excited to get the podcast! (I don't know about you, but I LOVE listening to these amazing speakers and Jonathan's insightful questions when walking through the woods or running on the trail…) Something about the focus of just one sense - no distractions-the words and the emotions are raw and real. I have listened to several interviews more than once and continue to be surprised at what I "hear" the second time through… Brilliant. Insightful. Truly Inspiring. Thank you, Jonathan, for your wisdom and for bringing your genius to the world! :)
I too have sought out gurus & lived in a meditation center for 3 years, and after over a decade of soul searching, I chose to follow my own truth. Jonathan Fields definitely says, in such an inspiring and eloquent way, why the guru is really YOU.
Please. Half the podcast is the interviewer interrupting, talking, and generally not allowing the guest to fully speak. Ugh.
Creative, fun, poignant, inspiring. Thank you Jonathan!
I just recently stumbled upon Jonathan's podcast and have been hooked ever since. As an author, I sometimes get discouraged and ask myself why I even put all these hours into writing novels, but then I hear these inspirational stories, which remind me why I do what I do - even after an grueling day at work. It's called passion. Thanks, Jonathan, for taking the time to bring us these wonderful and inspiring interviews.
Want to grow professionally? Then start by growing personally! Jonathan and his (insanely motivational) guests talk about their game changing practices that have helped center their lives. What would it be like to pick Jonathan's brain? I hope to so that some day. Bucket list. Thank you Jonathan for everything you do.
His conversations are fantastic and definitely worth listening to!
I eagerly anticipate Jonathan’s interviews. He has a way of bringing out phenomenal conversations with his guests that sometimes make me cry and make me laugh. But I’m always pleased with spending the hour with Jonathan and his guest.
Jonathan Fields is a great interviewer and I always feel motivated and inspired after listening to one of these episodes. I never miss an episode :)
One of my favorite podcasts! I really try not to miss any episodes… It’s really good...
Jonathan is a great interviewer and can bring out the best ideas and experiences from his guests. I have listened to his shows more that once and get more each time.
I recently started listening to this podcast and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The caliber of guest Jonathan interviews is incredible. He speaks with a lot of people you will not hear elsewhere and individuals who are doing their part to make the world a bit better. His style is very conversational and the advice is stuff anyone can use no matter what point in their life journey. A must listen.
This podcast has really helped develop me a kept me motivated.
This is one of the podcasts that I always look forward to listening. It has never failed to provide great content. The conversations always sound so sincere and real. Keep up the good work!
Have been following these, continuously inspired, thank you !!!
Excellent interviews with fascinating creative people. Very well done.
Equal parts business, soul mojo, and happiness, Jonathan FIelds never fails to deliver on what life needs most: inspiration. Can't say enough about these interviews. They make my days brighter. Thank you GLP.
I found GLP about a year ago and love the program! So excited to see them on iTunes now.
Worth the wait. Thanks, Jonathan!
I had the good fortune to be interviewed by Jonathan for this podcast and the even-better fortune to listen to the show. He encourages guests to speak very personally on what makes a Good Life and I've really benefitted from the answers he gets. Jonathan is the real deal.
I challenge anyone to find a better interview than Jonathan Fields. The man is a genius at excavating brilliance from his remarkable guests. I love this podcast, it's the only one I never miss.
Jonathan is a wonderful interviewer, brings such a touch of humanity. If you have a need to expand yourself, go beyond your limits in an entrepreneural direction…this is a MUST podcast. A personal message to Jonathan - Thank you so very much for abandoning law to bring these people into my world. :)
Jonathan is one of the most authentic and amazing people I have found on the internet. I love what you are doing! This show has helped me grow my business and I cannot thank you enough for the difference you are making. Keep at it Jonathan. You are changing the world!
Poor Sound Quality
I travel a ton, and listen to hundreds of podcasts and audiobooks while en route. This is my new favorite -- brilliant conversation between truly interesting human beings who are doing incredibly diverse things in life, but are all connected in their pursuit to make sure, overall, that it's really, really "good." Inspiring, insightful and impactful.
I love that Jonathan Fields introduces us to such incredible and inspirational changemakers. I'm touched or moved or informed or motivated (or all of the above) by each episode.
Jonathan's Good Life Project is food for the soul. Deep, inspiring, thought-provoking, and direct, it's an important infusion of support and inspiration for those of us out there pushing against the tides of the status-quo in order to creating remarkable lives.
... you have the delicious experience of learning alongside the Masters. The Dreamers. The Doers. The Dent Makers. Jonathan Fields and his guests on GLP are all of those things and more. Jonathan very deftly knows how to coax someone's true self to the fore and get them to share right down to their bones. The times when the Dark Dog showed up at the door, the moments of vulnerability/questioning/fear, and the ecstatic breakthroughs and triumphs. I love this podcast. I love hearing how people have found their way to a "good life" through their work in the world. Jonathan is a great interviewer — he is respectful, deep and chooses fascinating subjects in a range of disciplines — and I am always left with several "ahas" I can use in my own life.
I've been a fan of Jonathan's work for years now but the launch of the Good Life Project (broadcast quality) webisodes took the whole ship to Mars. His interviews are unscripted, organic and flawlessly executed. The people he finds for the show each share a unique spin in living a GOOD Life. My dishes wouldn't get done without this show. My commutes wouldn't get uh, commuted without this show. It lifts me up and widens my lens to take in every conceivable possibility.
Jonathan picks a variety of guests form all walks of life and thoughtfully investigates how each one got to where they are today, and why. Wonderful inspiring series.
Jonathan Fields brings together an amazing group of people but always takes the conversations in unexpected directions. Imagine a show that's a little bit Charlie Rose and a little bit Oprah with a dash of Malcolm Gladwell and you'll get an idea what Jonathan's style is like.
Has finally arrived in podcast land…YAY! Jonathan Fields simply brings on the best guests and has the best discussions for anyone looking for inspiration, motivation, or just a good life story. Thanks Jonathan! ~ John Lee Dumas
One of the reasons why I love Jonathan Fields (and his interviews) is because he has this uncanny ability to get people to talk about the stuff they had no intention of talking about. He gets people to reveal their REAL stories as opposed to their prepackaged, PR friendly stories that you hear everywhere else. Nice job.
I haven't missed an interview yet and look forward to the new ones. The questions and answers are honest and candid and personal. The guests journeys are fascinating and motivational.
These shows are great - thanks for making it easy to listen to.
I'm a loyal fan of Good Life Project for about 2 years now. Jonathan Fields brings thoughtful, engaging stories each week and I especially appreciate his interest and support for women making a difference in the world and women entrepreneurs. Good Life Project is on my Top 10 list for weekly news...I'm very excited to have the podcast option via iTunes!
Some of these shows radically changed the way I live my life. I highly recommend them.
Jonathan does an amazing job of sharing with us some pretty outstanding people. The quality of his interviews is top-notch and he does a great job of getting people to really share their story. I look forward to each and every interview. And I love that he has made it an emphasis to interview women.
I was hooked from the beginning. Jonathan's genuine interest in his interview subjects is apparent. Even if it's an area of art, self improvement or business that you may not have on your radar, there are gems of wisdom in each episode. I eagerly wait for Wednesdays when the new one is released!
I have been watching Good Life Project (yes it's also a show!) since the first episode. Every week, I look forward to the interviews Jonathan does. He finds the most interesting people to speak with, (some you will know and some you won't) following them from 'then' up to 'now' sharing pain points, turning points, and enlightening moments that brought about the transformation in their lives creating their own Good Life. This is a highly recommended podcast for anyone seeking their own transformation, and anyone who just really digs cool stories from some amazing people.
I'm a big fan and am excited to have the good life project in a more portable version.
Jonathan Fields is a great interviewer ~ which is a good thing because it takes a lot of courage to create a podcast or vodcast series of this length. However, the length is necessary to deliver the quality show he's created. It's a deep dive into these vastly different individuals, all with unique stories and Jonathan gets to the bottom of how they've all created a beautiful life - The Good Life! He exposes their unique qualities and shines the light on their successes in a way that's genuine, authentic, and just plain interesting - which is why I learn something every single episode!
I love this show. Don't let the length of the episodes put you off - many of these conversations have changed my life. It's great company in the kitchen, while driving, or while doing housework. I always take away a new insight, a new resource and a new practice. I've bought the books of many of the guests. This is my go-to show for power inspiration and actionable ideas. Tune in and watch your own good life unfold!
Super inspiring interviews with great, actionable insights and advice, both for your business and for life.
The first GLP episode I watched was with Brene Brown. Amazed and astounded. I've been hooked ever since. I love the way Jonathan interviews and how he gives his guests plenty of time to answer each question.
Jonathan is an amazing interviewer, and each of these shows are incredibly inspiring and exactly what I need to listen to during my commutes and runs. I can't wait for more!
I love this series. Jonathan is so real with all of his interviewees. No two talks are the same. I highly recommend this show, thanks Jonathan!
Jonathan highlights visionaries from Wall Street, academia, the medical field, fitness and everything in between. If you need some inspiration or are just plain feeling there must be more to life. Look no further. You'll be introduced weekly to people who have found a way to create a Good Life!
