Fran is amazing!!!!
Love Tim, Greg, Blessing and Imran (sorry maybe spelt wrong), but I especially love when Fran comes on. Fran Mirabella is a legend and he is great audio! Not to mention great hair we can only picture on a podcast!
Trash show with trash people who don’t know how to enjoy games.
Show could be decent, but jeez, please get rid of Blessing. I literally unsubscribed because of how annoying he is.
Relatively new to podcast, and wanted to spread out and diversify the games media voices I listen too. Just started listening to these guys at the end of 2019 and have enjoyed every minute of it so far. The entire cast and the behind the scenes support they have are great, Kevin is my dude man and I enjoy it when he jumps in. Started to watch all of Kinda Funny content now and have enjoyed every minute of it. Title was not meant to disrespect btw.
Even after all their shows, these is their bread and butter.
For some reason I can not stop listening but it is not that good but I like the podcast way way more than I don’t
Kinda Funny make great content! It has not innovated enough lately however, and I only recommend this show and PS I Love You. Too bad many share the same opinions on video games and politics, and stop bringing on Gary Whitta. Guy is beyond toxic.
Could be worse, they could have Gary Whitta on every week and then we’d have to listen to nonsensical and nearly incoherent political shouting like a far left, British Alex Jones.
It’s a video game podcast where the hosts have almost no idea about games outside of their personal bias. Bless and Imran are horrible. Trash show with trash people.
It is my birthday tomorrow🥳🥳🥳🥳
The gamescast has seemed lacking for a few months now. When I first started listening I went back and the podcasts were great but something started changing and I can’t put my finger on it. Now it feels off and is hard to get through an episode.
If you want a podcast with out the I’m the loudest in the room give me attention nonsense, checkout Colin’s Sacred Symbols podcast. His knowledge of the industry and chemistry with Chris ray gun makes these guys look like amateurs. Hindsight suggests Colin was right for leaving 👍🏼
Blessing is the best thing to ever happen to this podcast. Sadly, because of this. I mostly only listen to PS I Love You xoxo. I don’t have a problem with any of the hosts. But something is missing from the show. It’s just not firing like it used to.
This is a great show for getting some insight on the games you’re looking forward to playing, don’t care about playing, or on the fence about playing. There is one huge annoyance I have as of late. I really really wish Fran would stop interrupting the other host right in the middle of a story. Dude we get it. You like the sound of your voice. Host your own podcast where you interrupt yourself. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not big on disliking qualities about people. But this is just a glaring issue that I cannot get over no matter how hard I try. And I don’t even 100% dislike the guy. But he seems a little too into himself or he’s trying to hard. I dunno Great show otherwise. The guys are really good at explaining mechanics, the gist of the story without spilling things and just giving an awesome overall general overview of games you’re curious about.
Treat your fans as “best friends” not as your personal fundraiser
It has its moments, but Tim has little understanding of video games other than Nintendo, but he hosts a Gamescast? Makes no sense. The hiring of Fran was OK, and imran is completely irritating. Blessing was a terrific hire and I look forward to hearing him over the year. It all just feels so incredibly sloppy, and it’s hard to listen to when everyone is talking over each other. It’s a shame, because there is something really good there, but it fails to ever capture why video games are so important.
Gradually lost interest in this podcast. Trying to branch out too much. I used to listen to Greg and Colin back at ign. I have no animosity, just don’t find this entertaining anymore.
I am glad to be coming back to find a couple new voices. It sounds like with the variety of opinions that the conversation is more engaging to listen to. Now if they could just bring back Mobile Game or BS...
The best podcast every
Best gaming show, very informative and funny (kinda)
Nothing makes my skin crawl quite like the sound of greg miller slurping up the leftover saliva in his mouth in between each and every sentence that he screams at the top of his lungs.
What happened to the in depth conversations about trends in the industry. Or provocative questions about games and opinions. Now it’s just long segments of what you’re playing and I don’t care to hear about every shooter than Fran is playing or whatever Indy nonsense Imran is playing. I wish Andy would be on more because he’s the only one besides Greg who attempts to develop chemistry with his cohosts.
These guys brought Fran on but I think they were just bashing on Destiny the whole time though. Basically brought in a Destiny guy and talking crap about the game to Fran.
Loved Kinda Funny before Colin was forced out. Now it’s full of vapid people who haven’t had an intelligent critical thought in their entire lives. Still attempt to listen every once in awhile when I’m hyped about a specific topic they are covering but inevitably turn it off after 20 minutes when I start to feel my brain cells dying.
I enjoy almost everything KF produces but please no more Destiny 2 talk. Anytime there’s a discussion about Destiny (and Division 2), I fast forward.
Welcome to the FIRST EVER 1,964th review of the Kinda Funny Gamescast Excellent group of people who are both knowledgeable of the industry mixed with great personalities that play well off each other. If you’re a console gamer, consider this podcast essential
Yeah it is Kinda funny, I guess.
Kinda funny has had its up’s & down’s. But helping out gameInformer definitely gives them brownie points.
Its fun to try and listen to a podcast while you work, but when you have a group of people who just talk over eachother by each getting louder, it's a huge pain to constantly adjust my volume on my speaker while I'm working. Absolutely terrible, and they're barely funny.
This show is no good
My biggest problem with the Kind of Funny gaming podcast is the lack of a consistent set of voices, while having revolving host may suit a different type of show, for me, a daily news podcast is better when I can become accustomed to hearing the same persons perspective on different news stories.
Tim and Greg’s commitment to authenticity is more exactly what this industry needs.
Greg Miller just yells in the microphone...
I started listening to podcasts a few years back and the kinda funny guys are the best out. Keep it up fellas!
Half of the time I don't even know/care what they are talking about. Without Colin this show has crashed and burned...
Just talking about what we’ve been playing and it’s always entertaining
These guys are great. Their knowledge of the industry plus their pop culture reference have kept me entertained since I started listening to it. This is one that the Crashing Game Night podcast team recommends!
With this podcast you get one Tim Getty's with his boys Greg Miller, Jared Petty and sometimes other people like Andy I don't know. But all you need to know they talk about games they played for the week and some topics related to them and usually end by some dumb mobile game. But that's not important all you need to know any one of these boy especially Nick Scarpino eclipse Hungry Box in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Hungry Box needs to just retire and set fire his Gamecube controller He doesn't need it because he's been outclassed by the best.
Not even kinda funny. Colin was funny, he made a joke, Greg let the outrage brigade tell him what to do. And that’s when Kinda Funny died.
When the podcast first started, yes with Colin, this was a great listen and easy subscribe. Each host had their own unique interests throughout the vast array of games available. Unfortunately, as I’ve continued to listen, the only games really discussed and heavily pandered have been those popular titles making large amounts of waves or, quite bluntly, money. The hosts now continue to become extremely immature and share little insightful criticism throughout all titles, and tend to heavily stick to party type games enjoyable to frat-like individuals. I really used to enjoy Greg, truly. But, without the insight and, I’m speculating, ability to tame the childish co-hosts, Greg has been lost in the same for now. If you’d like to hear thoughtful opinions and discussions regarding games, instead of continued Nintendo or Fortnite hype, consider switching to Colin’s Last Stand.
The old days of KF are gone. Greg and Tim’s egos are out of control and they only want your money now. I’m out on here and Patreon. Peace!
I’ve been trying to avoid spoilers and just had RDR2 spoiled. If you’re going to spoil the ending put it in the show notes and I’ll know to avoid that episode.
Transphobic hate speech from Greg Miller. Worst podcast on the internet.
The one guy can’t get through a sentence without cursing. I’m not against bad words but when I’m looking for information on something I don’t want it from a guy that talks like a 12 year old who’s parents aren’t around.
Guys, I love you and KF but just rename the podcast to what it has become. The Tim Getty’s overhyped Nintendo show with other gaming stuff he doesn’t care about hour.
I used to listen to Gamescast weekly and absolutely loved it. Now, however, I can barely get through half an episode. Since Jared was brought on as a permanent fixture on the podcast, the quality has dropped. Jared seems like a genuinely nice guy, but his overly enthusiastic nature is off-putting. In episodes that Greg and Tim are missing, the podcast is especially dull.
I feel like the banter at the beginning is far too long and much of it is yelling. I listen to podcasts to relax and it stresses me out to hear it from the podcasters, including the random guy in the background yelling muffled stuff. Y’all are nice guys so I’m disappointed to unsubscribe. I’ll likely tune in for one or two episodes a year when it’s a topic I really care about. I hope y’all can improve from the feedback
There are plenty of good gaming podcasts out there, sadly this isn’t one of them. Some suggestions instead: Giant Bombcast, Giant Beastcast, IGN’s Podcast Beyond, Podcast Unlocked, Nintendo Voice Chat, and GameScoop, Sacred Symbols, Easy Allies, Frame Trap, and some more I’m probably forgetting. Nothing really of value with the Gamescast, unless you just like hearing baseless predictions that you can get on any message board or Twitter feed.
Great energy, Great material. Thanks for all the hard work! As always Tim is a gem. With Greg’s energy and Jared altogether the show has really evolved and become something special.
Great podcast with really interesting topics every week :)
Yeah this show is good, has its dips but is a fun time
Enjoy the content you guys create.
Best gaming podcast I've heard
Interesting topics on video games. Changes every week and most of the time there is an interesting guest with a different insight than the main Kinda Funny guys.
Love the show guys
Glad to be getting some video game news for the guys I love listening to. I was a fan of the KF Game Over Greggy podcast, but more content I care about rather than just listening to these guys BS about whatever is appreciated.
Show is awesome dope
Let Tim host
This cast is mostly about previews or impressions of games. Take it for what it is and get insight on games you may not have thought to play!
You are doing fine! I love all ya'lls content! Keep creating!
Awesome coverage of console gaming and some banter to go with it.
Love the Kinda Funny gamescast each week!
Colin's departure was a devastating blow to the world of podcasting. This show is now just another vanilla offering amongst a sea of generic video game podcasts. It now seems clear that the remaining KF members just don't have the talent to sustain the massive popularity of thier own brand. I've been a fan since it's inception so it really was a sad day when I realized I had to unsubscribe. I very sincerly hope that they can find a way to salvage this sinking ship - I just don't think it's very likely. Major bummer.
It's really sad how far you guys fell off following that fallout.
The only reason to listen to anything by these guys left a little while ago. Try IGN or Giant Bomb instead.
The hosts bring nothing to the table interrupt eachother and are just PC libtards, Colin grounded them without him, hope is lost.
I'm sorry guys but without Colin it's just not my thing anymore. Best of luck with your ventures.
I had dropped this podcast because I couldn't listen to Colin Moriarty one second longer (opinionated, negative, complaining). Getting reacquainted and minus Colin this podcast is fun again.
I may be ready to unsubscribe to the kinda funny podcasts... Only show that kept me around was PS I Love You XOXO... Even as I'm typing this, Tim Gettys has interrupted someone AGAIN. Totally killed the conversation flow at least four times. Can't listen to this verbal roadblock derail Greg and Nick any longer. Great while it lasted fellas...hopefully the neighbors don't force Greg to smoke anymore cigarettes. Hahaha.
This was always the weakest of their podcast but now that Colin is gone and now it's terrible. You should have stood up for your best friend. This is truly a shame. I hope being pc serves you well.
I work for a company that allows us to use headphones all day. So that being said I have listened to almost every game cast you can list. The kinda funny gamescast is by far the best one I have listened to. I look forward to their new episode every week. All the dudes Tim, Greg, Colin (RIP) are the best dudes to listen to about games. They aren't jerk nerds and that for me is a big plus. I love these dudes and apparently Greg has a girlfriend but you couldn't tell by listening to all 4 of their podcasts. Ha. Much love and best of luck!
You guys messed up
Kinda funny, literally. Can't listen anymore after what you guys said about Colin. Shittiest people ever.
More opinions that don't matter. They spend more time talking about themselves then actual gaming. The topics are lame and the discussion is boring.
It's okay at times, offensive at others. I'm giving them more of a chance, so we'll see.
Been listening for two years, podcast is still prime.
Can't do it anymore. What happened to this
Love this podcast. Colin, Greg, and even Tim give insightful takes on the latest games and going ons in the video game industry.
Tim just kills it in a negative way. Greg and Colin for the win.
I've been listening for about 4 or 5 months now, these guys, this show, is great! (Run on sentence!) Its completely biased so if you don't agree, I get it, but that doesn't take away from the quality. Give em a try if you disagree blame me.
Two episodes in I was so embarresed for these guys that I had to write this to save your feeling... it's like listening to an old man fall up the stairs. Avoid, the only thing this show has less than entertainment is News.
This is a great games podcast, if you like this you will love PS I Love You XOXO
I love the show and so far have not missed an episode. Tim, Greg and Collin are a joy to listen to. Also awesome to have Tim be the host as he is an excellent one.
Tim is at his best guiding the conversation with his charming optimism. While his excitement about Nintendo, the 'Coot, and Pokemon is infectious, he's most entertain when he's interjecting it between the opinions of his guest.
Colin and Greg are alright, but Tim is virtually unbearable. It's quite possibly the most casual podcast you could listen to in the gaming sphere, and is just boring. It doesn't have the maturity of something like the Giant Bombcast or the on-point game conversation like the Game Informer Podcast. Overall, it's mediocre and repetitive with constantly reoccurring topics like Sonic, Nintendo rumors, and generic reviews. Spend your hours elsewhere unless you enjoy their personalities more than good game conversations.
I can't believe these guys have found a way to make gaming boring, its unbelievably hard, congrats guys!
frist of all, love getting to hear more from Tim about gaming. I love PS I Love you, but it is cool to see Greg and Colin talk about the larger world of gaming outsdie of Playstation.
Love these guys! Listen every week and appreciate their work! Please support them!
Gamescast and PS I love you xoxo are the two best gaming podcasts. Period.
Colin, Greg, Tim (and sometimes Nick) are great! I love the topic-ness of this podcast as opposed to being based on news
This is the conversations you have with your buds but with some really knowledgeable guys.
Great job hosting Tim! Love to hear this from you guys every week. I have a long commute to work and drive for work so this is part of what gets me through the large amounts of driving that I go through every week. Also, great to hear from another Nintendo fan! More Nintendo topics please!(though I know they go through dry spells often...)
Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast!
These guys give us great feedback on news, and entertain us with their unique personalities. It's also nice that full disclosure is their policy, so when their biased they make sure the listeners know about it.
These guys have open, unbiased opinions. They are raw, Funny, and enjoyable to listen to.
I tried to hang in there guys. I really tried. The Kinda Funny crew is a great bunch of talented and insightful personalities, but this show in particular seems to be running out of fresh topics and unique interesting discussion.
This is a must listen to podcast. I love everything these guys do. Great quality and great fun
A couple of 'industry insiders' formally from IGN attempting to talk as though they still have that level of access. Even more important in my distaste for this show is that none of them have worked in the business of making video games. Most sports commentators at least played in high school. These guys talk with an ungrounded confidence in what they're saying.
I love you guys... And Tim has been wanting to host for forever but he really needs to put some structure and segments into the podcast.
You guys rock
Enjoy your sanctuary city... Saw a woman getting beaten up on the street yesterday, punched in the face randomly until she lay there motionless. Glad u focus your energy and community on anyone who criticizes Leslie Jones and not someone white who was physically attacked and killed like Kate Steinle
Add Nick Scarpino and You'll get your 5 stars Tim Gettys.
I really like what they have going on and it's always interesting topics.
All I say is wow
While the news topics may be a week late, the insider knowledge, years of experience, and charisma that the KF guys have is unmatched. A must-hear.
Dont even read reviews, just download it and give it a try. You wont regret it!
Very articulate group of guys with fun jokes.
Best place for gaming news!!
Imagine podcast beyond but for all 3 consoles and pcs. That's what this could be. Instead it's very heavy on what's your favorite console ever, what's your favorite game ever, what mega man game is best, I'm excited for blank Nintendo game, followed by I was disappointed by blank Nintendo game. Whoever picks the topics needs to stop. They are all too similar each week and the podcast is a truck spinning its wheels in the mud. Suggestion. Let each attendee and one fan pick a gaming topic each week. It's like GOG show but with games. Another suggestion would to bring in some segments to the show. Much like beyond and psiloveyou there are plenty of cross plat segments that could spice up the show and keep it relevant rather than hearing why we need another crash game or how smash bros is cool. The show is good when A. The topic is about a current video game or story B. The hosts are playing the games they talk about (last year Colin and Tim) Your show suffers when you can't talk about the game beyond speculation. If Tim wants to host he either needs to play more games or just host and ask questions but give no insight. Maybe bring in a third person that can speak to the game. Then Tim can just host. C. They bring in good guests like other sites hosts or game devs or more interviews like the Phil Spencer interview. The podcast is okay but could really improve with the suggestions above.
They finally "let Tim host," and we are left to wonder what we ever did without him as a host! Mr. Gettys and the two coolest dudes in video games--Colin M and The Ego, AKA, Greg Miller--make for one of the best gaming podcasts on the planet. Subscribe, download and enjoy... if you haven't done so already.
Please keep up the amazing work. PS - Tim, I reviewed this 99% just for you.
Awesome and fun commentary. Don't miss and episode.
Enjoyable show, it is interesting to hear Tim's view on various topics. Best moments are when Tim and Colin clash. Keep up the good work gents! Kevin it's not your fault! Let Tim Host. Kinda!
Can't say that I listen to each episode but I enjoy what I hear. Not as great as most shows but I how things get better.
I love the in depth discussions that are done on this show, and the recent influx of guests are very much appreciated. I love getting to hear different perspectives about games (as sometimes it can be PS focused with Greg and Colin, but they should express what they know best). Tim, thanks for choosing great topics for the show(thanks for representing Nintendo when you need to! Glad to know I'm not the only one to appreciate Wii U/3DS games) and finding great guests. I love the show and only want to see it get better and better.
Been listening since episode 1! Awesome job. #LetTimHost
This podcast is by far one of the best ones out there.
You can always be better. ;)
We finally #lettimhost and we have been rewarded for it. Tim brings his own unique perspective to gaming culture and even though I don't always agree with his insights, I can admit that I honestly enjoy his musings, particularly on the Nintendo side of the gaming spectrum. He's right to include Colin and Greg who offer their own PlayStation centric attitude while not taking away from the great spirit of Nintendo that Tim exudes. I wish these guys all the best with their continued support of the gamig community.
Keep up the great work guys!
I'm glad you're finally the host Tim. Love the podcast and all the kinda funny people
Not very good because of Tim if he was not on it would be amazing. Please remove Tim from show
I love the long form topics. Keep it up
I love everything these guys do and look forward to each new episode.
I'm Tim too!
Tim, Greg, and Colin are great for bringing their different views on the industry and giving you their opinions on it. This podcast is always great for entertaining me and giving me something to look forward to.
These guys are awesome people. Lots of great discussion, varying opinions, etc. It's one of the only shows I listen to every week no matter what topics. Keep up the great work Tim, Greg, and Nicole Tan.
Let him Toast!
the hosts are experts and so funny and personable
My review was optional.
The only way to get timely shows is to pay the Patreon fee for this podcast, a podcast which features ads mind you. I understand they need to keep the lights on, however there's a lot of competition in the gaming podcast world and not discussing topical news is going to hurt your listenership. The interviews with developers are mind-numbing and Tim is extremely boring and always turning the conversation onto himself. I miss classic Beyond so much.
I subscribe to dozens of podcasts and listen to upwards of 20 hours of podcasts a week from NPR shows to video game podcasts. This is by far my most anticipated podcast every week. Funny, insightful, honest, and it keeps you coming back for more.
This is a good conversational games podcast. Thanks for the hours of information and entertainment
Love listening to the coolest dudes in video games(including Tim in they as well). Keep up the great work Tim you've been asking to host for a while and now you're killing it
All these guys at kinda funny are putting out great content
If you have any interest in video games, this podcast will have something for you. The topics are always fun and interesting!
Personally I think Tom's hosting has gone quite well. Yes, he's new and always learning but I enjoy the dynamic that all three guys have together and find the content engaging every week. Well worth the sub and the support at Patreon, keep up the good work!
I used to like this show maybe because it was new to me. I never listened to Podcast Beyond so I didn't have a history with Colin and Greg. After listening for months, this show's routine is getting boring. The whole bring a topic and talk about it is getting old, and similar to what other reviews have said, it feels like the same show every week. They repeat themselves incredibly too much and Greg's catchphrase "Know what I mean" is beginning to be grating to my ears. It has the potential. Perhaps they just need to change the format or start talking about topical news instead random subjects. There's a lot of gaming news and if they don't plan to expand to talk more about xbox or nintendo (Tim doesn't count since he isn't on top of any gaming news) then they need to cancel this podcast and just have ps i love you (which could use improvements as well).
Don't know why he gets so much hate because he is the reason I listen to this show.
While I do agree the format and episode-to-episode content could use some clarity after the start of PS I Love You, Tim, Colin and Greg have set a really nice foundation. Tim has grown as a host, and while he may not play the amount of games *some* wish he would, it's clear he cares and pays attention to what's happening. Colin and Greg could improve the time and knowledge of Xbox happenings, but I understand where their expertise comes from as former PlayStation beat writers. I appreciate these guys' charisma, honesty and bluntness as it relates to this wonderful industry. Definitely recommend this podcast.
Great Podcast guys, Tim you have really started to develop as a host over this past year. Just wanted to say thanks for all of the hard work!
The guys are doing an awesome job and I can't wait for the next episode.
#LetTimHost yeah!!! Love these guys, and everything they do. If you like games and good laughs don't pass this one up!
What else is there to say?
Following you guys since 2011 congrats on your success even with Kevin actively trying to destroy everything. -I'll dismiss myself now Colin
Great news and insight along with an interactive community pushes KindaFunny above the competition. Pure entertainment.
Because it makes Tim happy
I love this podcast. It has become a routine in my week. Tim Getty's excitement for everything is contagious and then through in Greg Miller for the laughs and Colin Moriarty for the facts; baby you got a stew going!
Makes my work go by fast
Tim seems like a third wheel. Not trying to be a downer just a note.
Great show would love a section on each console to mix things up
In this weekly podcast about video games listen to a young boy, who loved Nintendo, become a young man, who loves Nintendo. Along on his journey are two of the coolest guys in video games. Great show. Kinda funny.
This may or may not be the best podcast about games that isn’t as timely as others! Oh how Timothy Gettys has grown as a host! #TimHasHosted
This is my loyalty 5 star review, because of Tim Gettys' polite order to us listeners on the 3rd min of GamesCast Ep.49-Duscae ! Kinda Funny Team is awesome. Love to listen to you guys.. Lots of best wishes from India! Did I say you guys are awesome? I guess I did - a few times! For those who are reading this review as a real review. Don't read any further.. Just subscribe & enjoy!
I love the way you are
Colin is great, Tim is okay, and Greg is a moron. Just go listen to one of giantbombs podcasts instead.
All the guys at Kinda Funny are killing it right now! They make sure to put out the best info and content about gaming. Subscribe now! Congrats Greg on the award. You earned it 1000% over. Colin, you will be right eventually about that Bend game. One day. Keep up the great work guys!!!
Love you guys. Just another great podcast from you!!!
These guys are funny, goofy, smart, dumb, deep, and entertaining. They throw everything on YouTube for free and tell you what they're going to talk about. You don't have to like everything they discuss, but there's no reason to hate guys who talk about what they love. Very admirable
Looking at some of these reviews, they talk about the issues that popped up at first. This was expected. Kinda Funny is a small company. I love these guys and as I knew would happen, they got most of the issues fixed. That aside, the content is always great. Fun discussion about video games. The one thing I want to see is more guests, but the guys at KF already know this and have said they want to get more guests. In summation, join the Best Friends and listen to this and all the other great KF podcasts. You won't regret it.
Love the show, it has come a long way from the start of the year. Can't wait for year two even though Tim messed up Greg's perfect calendar!
Tim, Colin and Greg keep up a fun atmosphere with The Gamescast. Video game news has never been more entertaining!
Fantastic show that talks about all video games news. With a great host #lettimhost and the coolest dudes in video games. They bring the news and talk about it but are always at different ends of the topic so you get a good discussion about it. They are always at events to bring you information and interviews right from the developers and usually have a guest from the video game community from developers to other celebrities. Great show gentlemen and keep it up.
This review is for you Tim! Great work and keep it up! I listen to all of your podcasts and love them!
I enjoy it for the most part, until Colin goes off on a rant where he assumes the view of every gamer, or states absolutes on topics with gray areas, or has close minded opinions and spins them in a way to make them seem just. The duo are very popular/famous within the community, but Colin exercising some humility would make the podcast much better. But I've been listening to him for years and this isn't going to happen. Oh well.
People that say they miss beyond can go listen to PS I Love You XOXO, this show is a different thing, it's Tim's thing an he does a great job! Great gaming discussions
Look no further. Sure it may sound cliche, but I feel like I've actually become best friends with these guys (makes it even more depressing to realize that they'll never know I exist, but hey, that's the nature of listening to podcasts). Cannot recommend Kinda Funny enough as a whole
Love you guys. Keep up the great work!
Let Tim host, and he’ll do an amazing job! Tim Gettys hosts Colin Moriarty and Greg Miller each week to recap the top gaming news and get opinions on what they are playing, what they are looking forward to, etc. This podcast is perfect for the console gaming follower who leans towards Playstation…but, Xbox is represented here as well! Amazing content as always from the Kinda Funny guys! #lettimhost
It's a different show. That's why it has a different host, name, and scope. Let Tim host, and stop giving him a complex over your hang ups. The show has found its niche in the lineup.
Part of my lunch break every day at work! ENJOY YOUR FESTIVUS GIFT (Tim you're doing great)
This Is One of My Favorite Gaming Podcasts. It's Part of My Weekly Schedule.
I love everything kinda funny. It loses one star personally because it feels slightly repetitive sometimes after Colin and Greg live and PS I love you xoxo. But if all you listen to is this podcast it should be great.
Love the show lately guys! I listen every Friday on my bike ride to school. I’m saving up for a vita because of you guys! KINDA!
Love video games, comics, movies and whatever the guys feel like talking about along the way? This podcast is highly recommended then. It's certainly not for everyone but listen to a few episodes during your commute and you will know if it's for you. Great synergy between this bunch of friends who love what they do.
Keep it up
I was not expecting it to be so funny since it's not PlayStation focus but I was wrong.
Nice job guys
I started listening to the PS I Love You XOXO podcast after hearing positive comments from friends. I'm so glad I gave the show a shot. Greg and Colin are fantastic "radio" personalities. I really appreciate how the two hosts present their content seamlessly and engage in meaningful discussions. I can't recommend that show enough. After doing a little bit of research, I discovered the Kinda Funny Gamescast. While this particular show is not horrible, it needs work. The content seems a bit unorganized and there are moments when it seems like too many people are talking at once. The show needs a solid leader, and Tim is not "leadership" material. I'm not at all opposed to him being on the show, but I strongly feel like Greg needs to host the show. I wouldn't even be opposed to Tim hosting the show in the future after he's perfected his hosting skills. If my review sounded harsh, I sincerely apologize. I'm just offering my honest feedback. I really think this show has great potential!
This show keeps getting better.
How can this allow Greg Miller to keep getting work. Its a pyramid scheme. Hes used ign and nows hes using these guys. Thats kinda funny.......
Excellent podcast from Tim, Colin and Greg, I listen to it weekly and am never disappointed (except when Colin is absent.) Colin is a wealth of knowledge, Greg is a passionate powerhouse and Tim always brings a different perspective. I highly recommend this show to anyone who loves games and the industry.
They are actually funny
This show could be so much better. You know what I mean? That sums up this and every show Greg is on. You know what I mean? He says a statement and follows it up with "You know what I mean?" No, Greg. I don't know. All you said was a statement and nothing that actually explained what you meant. You know what I mean? I like Tim's positivity towards everything though. He's a good host. Colin is great too. You know what I mean? My biggest issue with the show itself is that a lot of the answers to topics and questions are the same answers. Like I can predict exactly what Greg and Colin are going to answer 95% of the time. It feels like I'm listening to the same show every week. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know what I mean?
One of the best video game podcasts out there.
Love Kinda Funny! Love what you guys do. Just became Patreon supporter! Keep up the awesome content!
Not much to say. Just that nobody compares to them at all.
While being self-admitted Playstation fans the hosts claim that this podcast is agnostic and is just about games in general. They even now have a dedicated PS podcast that focuses solely on that system. In truth, the only difference between that podcast and this one is that in this one they spend 15% of the time talking about Nintendo and 15% of the time on how they 'just don't get' <insert latest XBox news>. I had been a episode 1 subscriber and I just unsubbed after listening to an entire segment condencensing telling people that the only reason they like Halo 5 is nostolgia but with some time they will realize how bad it is. I don't even play or own Halo and that segment was too much for me. Being PS fans is fine but do you really need to make people listening to your podcast feel bad about the things they like? Get enough of that bs on gamer forums, not going to waste my free time listening to it as well.
Keep up the good work
I've been taking in most of their content since the Beyond & Up at Noon days so it's just more of the good good ;)
Kinda funny has come of age.
They let Tim host!!
Love the show guys, keep up the hardwork!
Thanks Colin,Greg,Tim,nick and Kevin for giving me the best videogame podcast I've ever heard, especially ps I love you xoxo, I look so coward to Tuesday as much as I do when a video game I want comes out...thank you very much guys
Well mostly i'm here because of Tim's feelings. Love the show!
These four are great to hang out with. I say that because you don't just listen to these guys you hang with them. Glad to be a long time subscriber. PS I Love You XOXO
Great dynamic and they play well off of each other. I'll be listening for a long while. Glad they decided to break off and do this full time.
Get dem dank yarnham nugs.
The SECOND best games podcast, second only to their other show, PS I Love You XOXO. Come hang out for a while and become a best friend.
To be better is a Kevin crash cam
Nice Memes Make Dank Dreams
Show is great, guys! I love how it's more about gaming culture. It gives us a different view of the games industry and why we play what we play. Good work, Tim!
Thanks to these guys and their podcast which keep me entertained every single work day and on long trips. Keep up the Kinda Funny.
It's good, give it a listen
I just started listening to Podcasts for the first time at work an I really enjoy listening to you guys. As soon as I heard you guys once, I was hooked. I started listening to Beyond, PS I Love You, The Fireteam Chat, the Greggy Show, an a couple other Destiny Podcasts. I make sure to keep any new episodes I haven't heard specifically just for when I'm at work. You guys make the day 10x more enjoyable just listening to the informative weirdness from the table. Keep it up!
I really love the differentiation the guys are doing between gamecast and psiloveyou. Tim is always on point, and I enjoy the broadness of the topics. Now that we're having some great guests as well, gamecast is on the rise
I look forward to it every week.
I like this podcast. Listen to all of them because they're all fantastic!
Tired of seeing these "ugh it's not as good as beyond" reviews this show isn't shooting for that, I like it for it is.
After 42 episodes I can safely say that this is a solid show. At the beginning there were issues, technical and talent-wise, but those have all been solved. Tim as a first time host has gotten his footing down enough to control the show and you can hear that he’s still learning and that he knows it. I think thats the best thing, to know that you can still grow and improve yourself and actually do it. Greg and Colin are basically veterans of this medium and it shows. It’s nice to hear personalities which well known options in this area to speak on many subjects that are personal favorites of theirs that the audience may not know about. I like where this is going and i’m excited to be there riding along.
Keep up the good work, gang! I love the show. These guys are a great balance of personalities and compliment one another nicely. Very knowledgeable about the industry and they've got the charisma to put together a hell of a show.
As the title says kinda funny at games killing it once again
Love these guys, love what they do and how they do it.
The second-best gaming podcast out right now. Period. Some of you are tripping.
The topics are great and the conversations are great for gamers
FUNNY! No but in all seriousness this a great addition to my weekly podcasts and its all about games!
Tim, you're an amazing host. You lead conversation extremely well and it's a breath of fresh air to have someone other than Colin or Greg hosting (even though they're awesome!). It's just nice to see a change of style. Also, the guests you have on are great, and you guys are hilarious and insightful.
Awesome podcast, who have fun conversation about games and game lifestyle!
This show has insight, impressions, and nonsense. A gaming podcast by kinda funny that functions beautifully. There are some holes in the demographic they address but they are always recognized and an occasional guest star fills it in. If you enjoy games, Colin, and Greg, you'll love this.
Been a follower of these guys for years, love the show!
I'm a KindaFunny best friend and I love this show. It's not beyond and you shouldn't expect that. This is a #LetTimHost show and they talk all things gaming including PlayStation, Nintendo, and XBox, old games and new games. It feels different then a Greg lead show but that's not a bad thing. If you are looking for a beyond type show PS I love you XOXO is a show for you! If that's not enough for you there is Colin and Greg Live on Twitch.tv/kindafunnygames but that is a Colin lead show talking all the nerdy news he wants to talk about. So in summation this a great podcast and I think you should give it a shot! 5 out of 5
Great show, I like the part where they say stuff.
Great podcast. These dudes are relatable and highly entertaining.
Greg Miller. Colin Moriarty. Tim Gettys. The only 3 men I need in my life.
Love this show! I look forward to every Friday when the show is downloaded to my phone! Makes my work commute enjoyable. Thanks, best friends! Keep it rollin'!
A different take on podcasts, the show is broken up into segments similar in fashion to Kinda Funny’s GameOverGreggy show. Tim has become a great host who seems to always try to keep the guys as focused on the topic as he can. Colin and Greg are the best in the business and I, personally, love hearing all they have to say. This show is a great change of pace to their PSILOVEYOU show, offering different kinds of topics, questions, and insight into the latest games and their own personal opinions. Love it!
KF Gamescast has developed nicely over the past months. It was a shaky start, but as the year has picked up with announcements and conventions it has gotten much better. It is not Beyond, but it is not trying to be Beyond. Tim isn't my top choice for host, but he has grown alot. Only complaint I have on this show is Tim's lack of knowledge at times and his apprehensions on certain genres. I just don't relate to his interests so some topics I get bored. Nonetheless, very entertaining podcast and I proudly support them on Patreon. I would reccomend everyone to support them on Patreon to get the episodes earlier and access to the exclusive episode each month.
What I want from this show is in depth conversation about a topic or game, which for the most part it delivers. Topics like What are you playing, GOTY so far, why you should play this, but most importantly I would like this to be a platform to review games, a 15-30 min review of a game would be awesome.
Lives up to the name
The Kinda Funny Gamescast is a great intersection of perspectives when it comes to video games.
I love the GOG show and this is just more of what i love from these guys
Love this show. The guys are always funny and they have guests every now and again as well.
Really great topical games show from Kinda Funny.
I am proud of what these guys what they are doing. Starting over and doing there own thing is very brave. This podcast is full of everything you loved about the cast we all fell in love with. But Tim's mic always sounds so low muffled compared to the rest of the cast, and hard to understand at time. He's the weakest part of the show. And dose not have the chops to be the host. But other then that, this show is everything you loved about Podcast Beyond Just with more of it.
If you are looking for an awesome podcast that covers all games on platforms and you enjoy a good laugh this is your podcast!!!!
Awesome show Tim. Keep up the good work. Love the topics.
Tim's getting better (more relaxed, less forced, not trying so hard to seem 'cool'), Colin and Greg are always great, and i enjoy it when they have a guest to liven things up a bit. Could probably use a bit more back and forth discussion instead of one guy taking a turn, then the next guy and so on, but still, a solid gaming podcast that i look forward to every week. Keep it up guys!
Always super entertaining and knowledgeable about past, current and upcoming games.
Love this podcast! Could be a bit shorter though.
...Tim has to stop with the "First ever... episode," thing. It was really funny at first, when it came out accidentally but now it's forced and not funny. Also, someone else should host.
Always enjoyed Colin and Greg
Always great listening to these guys talk about games. Give it a listen.
They are just the best. Listen and you will see!
Being a huge fan of Greg and Colin's last podcast, Podcast Beyond I was excited to learn they were starting a new one. Unfortunatly the transition from a super focused platform to a more general games podcast seems to have stretched them to thin. Tim as a host is the weak link that unfortunatley stops the podcast being what it should be. His knowledge base is severly limted and seems to amount to Pokemon, Smash Bros, and Kingdom Hearts. Colin, while one of the formost experts on Playstation seems to fumble when it comes to any other platform. When speaking on Nintendo he seems to know more on what Nintendo was, than what is actually is. It can be frustrating when he speaks so authoritatively on systems and games he's barely touched due to the fact its on another platform. Greg is the one bright spot on the podcast seeing as he actually tries to see and touch everything to give an informed opinion. Greg really should be hosting, lets be honest... All and all, the knowledge base and group chemistry just isnt here, and you would be much better served on the Giant Bombcast and others fitting this category. Hopefully KFG new Playstation Podcast come back and be as great as Podcast Beyond was.
This is one of my favorite podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis!
Hey guys, I love the podcast and I value your insights when it comes to gaming. Tim is becoming a good host, while Greg and Colin maintain their signature banter. That said my only criticism would be that there is no ending song, I'm not a fan of abrupt endings. Also what happened to silly segments such as PlayStation nicknames or name that game based on the back of the box descriptions. Other than that, good work and stay kinda funny. Kevin A
Content is highly entertaining and a great mix for PlayStation and Nintendo fans. Audio levels have improved a bit but still have a ways to go. Would love if I didn't have to crank the audio in my car the longer the show goes. Seems to get softer the longer they talk.
The Gamescast is even better than the GOG show or Beyond. It's been almost habit forming and I can't wait for the next week to post in a way I don't get hyped for any other podcast. This stuff is pure gold! Keep up the great work guys, all your original Beyond fans like myself can't get enough. Kinda Funny is on its way to being an empire, and I'm stoked to be along for the ride
I love this. I can't get enough. I listen while I drive for work and I found myself saying out loud to myself that I can't believe I listen to this. I can't believe I listen to it and love every second of it. I want more and more for all times.
The first shows were pretty weak, mostly with audio quality, but as of now this show is amazing. It's funny and it flows very well. Keep the good job up guys and I'll keep listening!
I've been listening to Colin and Greg for years, love KF and everything they do, but I just do not identify with Tim Gettys at all. It might sound mean but I just don't care about his opinion when it comes to games. I typically fast forward through him talking and wish he wasn't part of the show, but don't mind him as a dude.
"First ever" worst podcast.
Keep up the hard work and you will succeed
I echo some of these other reviews in that this podcast had a slow start. Fortunately for us these guys have the chops to do things right and it has gotten better. Colin and Greg are legit and I enjoy their insight. Their recent E3 coverage was spot on and I am looing forward to listening to these guys in the future. Colin, you are my hero!
I first heard greg and colin on Beyond episode 279. Since then i could not stop listening, their insight into everything playstation along with their chemistry and comedic charm made it a cant miss weekly show. Fast forward 2 years and all of a sudden, they are leaving... This saddened me, but alas they broke off onto their own creating Kinda Funny. I immediately followed being introduced to new and entertaining members of the kinda funny team Tim Gettys and Nick Scarpino. I feel this is the natural progression of what I enjoyed on beyond with new friends. I enjoy the topical and informative nature of this new show. Keep up the good work guys. I look forward to the future.
I don't support the Patreon, so I guess I get what I pay for, which is a week late podcast. Game news moved so fast that it often feels dated by the time it comes out. Another minor gripe is they really like to swear. I think it makes them sound less professional and a bit stupider than when they were on Beyond.
Know that I do enjoy the show enough to listen to it. But I'll focus on what I think doesn't work for me. The show is just ok. Tim isn't a strong host. I could take or leave the "first ever" bit in every single episode, but you can almost hear Tim's smile through the earbuds every single time he says it. Sounds like a proud joke for him, but it's just throw away and tired by episode 20. He seems to get lost in the fact that he's the host and Greg takes over the show (which isn't a bad thing). Tim then seems to come back into remembering he's the host when it's time to bring up a new topic, and then the cycle repeats. I like Tim, just not as the host. And Colin's smugness is easier on GOG with having Nick around to share the space with . But when he's 1/3 of the total group it's just too much. Had I not listened to GOG I'd likely have given this an even lower score. The show is just ok. Little heavy on loving Sony.
I've been listening to you guys since I was at your panel at PAX East 2015 and I know you guys aren't really MMO guys but why not get some hype for Final Fantasy XIV? It is Square Enix's biggest game 2 years running and its player base is keeping Square in the positive, my question is, why not at least try it? And now is the best time for it with the 3.0 expansion coming in June, it's worth the look Colin...
There's not much wrong with this podcast. I love the concept and they all arrive with awesome topics that they discuss! My one gripe is sometimes each topic drags on for a bit too long and they don't always have interesting input to keep the conversation interesting. Although that's not to say they don't often have good viewpoints, often there is very compelling banter between the hosts. Totally worth your ear time!
A few dudes who took there passion and left job security at IGN to explore and see what they could accomplish. They have awesome guests and shed some good perspective on topics in the industry. Definitely a 5 star show
I love the podcast. It's very down to earth and funny. Great chemistry with hosts. The podcast is also very consistent. Keep up the good work boys.
Love this podcast
I followed these guys from IGN & totally worth it. Funny & informative.
I love the content, the conversations and expression of gaming but I can't get INTO the content with the amount of banging on the table, finger knocking on the table while others are talking, the loud mic adjustments and etc. I'm all for listening but I don't want to feel like a fish in a fish tank with a kid hitting the glass.
I was thrilled for all of you when I got the news that you were leaving IGN to create your own brand. I followed Beyond for years and loved every minute of it. I grew to really feel like Greg and Colin were my digitized best friends, so even though I knew I was going to miss my normal Beyond, I was happy for you both. I have been listening since Day One to the Gamescast and I have been waiting to see if my problems with the new show would go away, but they just keep getting stronger. I think the major problem for me is Tim hosting. I wish I could think of a better way to say this while being nicer, but I cannot; I think Tim is simply too immature to be the main host. I had never heard anything from Nick until this show honestly, but I really began to like him from the very start. He is well spoken and gives his input when he has input to give, Tim seems to desire the spotlight too much and will derail a conversation immediately as soon as he can find a way to bring up women in an immature way. I know this is harsh and I honestly never dreamed that I would be giving a Greg and Colin podcast a mere three stars, but in all this time my opinion has not changed on the quality of the podcast. Tim, I am sorry and I am sure that you are a nice guy underneath your ego, but if you toned it down then I think the show would become much better. Also, just to make a small amends, 3DS is a better system than the Vita! (Sorry Colin, but the library is there)
Love the show, I always get a great laugh. Thank you for being our best friends.
My most anticipated weekly podcast thanks to the engaging, entertaining, thought provoking, and smile inducing personalities that give the show its life. You can get game news anywhere else, but why would you want to?
Good stuff, good listen, good time!
Give this a listen! These guys are VERY funny (despite the name) and are also incredibly knowledgeable about video games! 100% worth anyone to checkout!
Before Kinda Funny was formed, I listened to Podcast Beyond for many years. I loved the chemistry between Greg and Colin, it was truly special. The reason I can no longer listen to Greg and Colin on a weekly basis is due to Tim Gettys... The host of the Kinda Funny Gamescast. It is baffling to me that the decision was made to allow Tim to host this show. He is awkward on the mic, offers little to the discussion and is in general annoying to listen to. It seems as though Tim is going through a "Look at me I'm so cute" phase, so it is possible he'll mature as a broadcaster in the next few years... However, at this time, I'm out. I just can't listen to this guy! If Tim takes a backseat to Greg, I'll be back.
The “Tricked Up Tim Show” maintains the whimsically impulsive attitude as the Game Over Greggy show, and all of Kinda Funny entertainment for that matter. While I was slightly bothered by the fact the Greg wasn’t hosting this show at first, I’ve warmed up to Tim as a host quite a bit since episode one. The topics are surprisingly varied for each show in a podcast that focuses on games and gaming culture; each guest injects a distinct energy and perspective that, I believe, is one of the greatest strengths of Kinda Funny entertainment. The only quibble I have is that the gaming topics seem to disproportionately focus more on Nintendo's and Sony’s ecosystem, leaving Microsoft somewhat snubbed. Granted, I understand that Colin and Greg migrated from Podcast Beyond (a Playstation podcast) and Tim is an adherent of Nintendo so they will obviously talk more about what they know, and it’s not as though they exclude Xbox, it’s just I wish it was in their discussions more.
...was a lot better. The topics were better, the conversations were way more interesting, the tangents were more fun, and the dynamic was a lot better with Colin and Greg + a guest. I'm not a fan of Tim. I don't care about what Nintendo is doing. YouTube inside baseball is not an interesting discussion. It's boring.
Listen to them.
I've been listening since beyond for over a year and will always be a loyal fan to Greg miller and Colin. keep it up guys!
Having lost quite a few podcasts in the great journalism massacre of 2014, I was happy to see a new podcast that was "kinda funny" and nicely plain spoken about games. That is, until their recent special episode with a kotaku writer. The ten minute dance they performed about "ha ha, we're not journalists, we're entertainers, so all those standards don't apply to us" was absolutely embarassing. I had to shut it off. You never said the cursed phrase, but I now know exactly where you stand, and I cannot support it. Businesses with bald faced contempt for their customers do not derserve to exist. Unsubbed.
I know you can't please everyone. But the system works, you're still the same personalities. Very enjoyable across the board. Have fun doing what you love.
I watch more YouTube than actual TV because of these guys. Kinda Funny Gamescast is my favorite show on their channel. BEYOND!!!
Still waiting for tbs to call you guys.
I've listened to these guys on Beyond for years. Hated to see them leave that show, but glad they're still around on the interwebs. It's the chemistry of the bromance between Colin and Greg that makes the whole show. Tim will eventually grow on me, but as longs as you don't mess with C&G, you'll have a great ride.
The crew of Kind of Funny Gamecast brings with them years of experience and talent. They will keep you entertained and inform about everything video game related. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.
I loved Beyond. I don't listen to Kinda Funny due to the way Greg speaks to Tim. I love you Greg but let it go. Let Tim host.
The show is great and I've been enjoying the content and format. I do have a complaint that mirrors many others... Tim does not talk into the microphone and is hard to hear. At times it seems strange that he is hosting when he is obviously the least knowledgable about games and the industry (which he often admits). I think he will do fine as host but he needs to do a bit more research before the shows. That being said, glad to have the show in my normal podcast rotation. Keep it up!
This is a more relaxed take on Podcast Beyond, the podcast from which they started. It does not feel as professional, but still is bounds above the average games podcast made by amateurs. The biggest differentiator between this and their old podcast is timeliness. If you don’t want to be days behind the regular games news schedule, then do not listen to this on iTunes, because that’s what will happen. It’s unfortunate, but they need cash up front from you to get timely podcasts. Good personalities, sub-par podcast.
The best guys in gaming, very smart, very informed, love you guys keep up the great work.
Had a hard time finding good video game podcasts for a long time. This is what I have been looking for
I love it. The best gaming podcast on the internet.
I have always been a fan of greg and colin and was very sad when I heard they were leaving beyond. This podcast is even better because of the broader amount of platforms they talk about. And I like how it is topic based. Keep up the good work Tim, Greg, and Colin!
You guys are the best and Beyond will simply never be what it was. Love KindaFunnyGames. My only request is more PlayStation and less Nintendo!
I like listening to Colin and Greg. Even though I am not a PS fan they are entertaining and Colin has thoughtful outlook on games overall. I was hoping that now that they are on there own that maybe they would be more well rounded. However, it is just Beyond with some Nintendo talk. I would love to hear Colin's thoughts on Xbox as well since I honestly respect his insight. Please consider this moving forward. Otherwise I enjoy the show. Thanks
Used to watch a few things here and there on ign but this show has got my attention. More power to you guys for going out and start fresh on your own. Love the podcast and you all have a new fan.
These guys have made a huge transition, but their work remains top notch, as evidenced by this podcast. Keep up the great work!
Two Question Guide to Kinda Funny GamesCast Question: Are you a fan of Podcast Beyond? Answer: Yes, That you should download and subscribe to this podcast Question: Like Video Games? Answer: Yes, That you should download and subscribe to this podcast Beyond!!!
If you enjoyed Podcast Beyond, then subscribe!
I've This show's pacing needs to match that of podcast beyond, because as others were saying, I got bored (and I've listened to Beyond for about 5 years now). I'm faithful you guys will improve it though!
Love the podcast. Beyond
1 star for Greg. 1 star for Collin. 1 star for the conversation and content. Let me say where the other 2 stars were lost. Tim is not a good host. He's non energetic, contributes little, and seems bored most of the time. He talks too low into the mic. Honestly I feel Greg could easily host this in a similar fashion to Beyond. Greg brings up topics and Colin and him riff off that. So minus 1 star for the host. The other star is missed in the audio mixing. The Intro 8 bit song is too loud compared to when the talking kicks in. There is serious mic imbalance. When Greg laughs it blows out my ears because his mic is louder than others it seems. Colin is in the middle. And Tim is just low. Maybe this goes back to the point I brought up earlier about Tim seeming bored, but if mics need to be set to different levels compensate for different voice tones. Test these things before recording. Lastly, Portillo. Lock up the dog when recording. no one cares about Portillo regardless of what you might think. We wanna hear you talk video games, not your dog yap into a microphone every once and a while. It comes off as very unprofessional in an otherwise stellar top tier video game podcast. Over all it's a very good listen, but there's a few points above which bring it down a peg for me. I always respect Greg and Colin's opinions, but beyond was always a great listen with no problems, and I don't have that feel when listening to this.
Literally the first review I've ever taken the time to write. The show is great you guys. I have listened to the Kinda Funny Gamescast since episode one. And watch every video that is posted every day. The GameOverGreggy show just about non-stop ever since January when you guys left IGN. (For some odd reason I never knew it existed until then. I feel so ashamed haha.) And of course Podcast BEYOND! for a while now. You guys have literally taken the place of RT for me. There was nothing that could do that until I found the GOG show. Tim, you do a fine job hosting. In the words of the greatest shadow boxer ever, "It's Fine". All the others are just complaining to complain about something. The only, ONLY complaint that I have is that The KFGC needs more of the producer/seducer. Thanks guys for making me laugh, think, and appreciate things just a little more.
Love the podcast! I look forward to every new podcast release. I'm proud to support you guys.
Love every last bit of the new content and while I will miss podcast beyond im very proud they're chasing their dreams
Love everybody's opinions and thoughts. I have followed Greg and Colin for years now and can't wait to see how this grows.
Colin and Greg are great as usual. They need to find the right balance because Tim dominated the first couple episodes too much. Needed more Colin rants and takes from Greg. They almost hit the sweet spot in the most recent episode (2-6-15). They'll get there.
Greggy please take over the host chair, love all of you guys but the show would be 5 stars if you were hosting. Good luck.
Amazing show, I get excited each time I get a notification!
been a huge fan of beyond and it pains me to know they are done. I keep trying to get into this whole Kinda funny thing but right now I just feel so board and pressures to give them money cause they "Quit there jobs". I was all excited about opening up the doors to talk about all games but it just doesnt feel like a games podcast to me and i hate to say it but i Do not like tim as the host he dulls the show down and the topics just dont interest me at all, the facts about the topics they talk about feel un researched and incorecct and last of all i get sick of all the nintendo Hate. This is suposed to be a podcast about games then talk about them please. Over all its stil new i can just hope it gets better. oh and fix the volume!!!
Great podcast. Tim is great as a host. I would like to see some more energy from Greg and Collin but Tim picks up the slack. I would also like to see some appearances by Nick.
Best games cast out there. Get all the perspective you could ever want. Thank you guys for all the hard work you do. I truly enjoy your work and you make me laugh constantly
I never wanted to be the guy to write a complaint but I feel compelled. I will first mention I am only a Greg/ Colin fan and Tim has always bothered me. During episode 5 was a huge reminder as to why he annoys me. In a video game aspect he is completely a Nintendo fan boy to a point where he defends games he hasn’t even played and bashes a system he does not own. That is unacceptable in my opinion. Its unprofessional and ignorant. I love the show I will keep listening however I do feel Tim is a bit too immature for the level that I feel Greg and Colin are on and it drags the show down because of that. Again I don’t like that I’m coming off as a hater but he is the reason why I do not pay for this podcast…
All you Tim haters need to realize that Colin and Greg have been hosting for year and have had the time needed to perfect the craft. In time Tim will be on Par with there skills and all he needs to do is to keep doing it. Keep doing whatcha doing guys! Can't wait for more.
I had mixed emotions when everyone at kindafunny left IGN, but all the worries I had were soon destroyed once I saw all the great things they are doing. This podcast is just as good if not better as their BEYOND podcast.
This is my new favorite podcast. I love listening to the coolest dudes in video games :D I loved them on Beyond, but the reason this podcast is better than Beyond is that we also get Tim Gettys, who is an awesome host. I love you guys, keep up the great work ;)
This group of four have gotten me through some hard times and were the reason I use to tune into IGN. I wish them the best of luck in there new endeavors and feel privileged to be able to listen to them every week! I wish I had a group of friends like these guys have! Thank you guys for brightening my day all the time!
Very unlikeable and boring hosts
Love the show, love Tim. Nice change from the GoG show.
You can see the improvements tim is making as a host. Now we need something where nick is a host. I know that can't turn out well. Keep it up!
If you guys love podcast beyond or ever watched it read anything on ign you will love these guys. Colin and Greg remind me of Adam and Jamie from Mythbusters. Greg is full of energy like Adam and moves along the show but Colin is like Jamie in a way where he makes the makes sense and then says some crazy and KINDA FUNNY things along the way that you wouldn't expect.
Glad to see you guys back at the table. I think everyone is being a little too harsh on Tim. Give him his time to find his groove. Gregg and Collin have been doing this for ages and with them by his side I'm sure he's going to adapt well. Keep doing what you guys love and thank you for making my dog walks more enjoyable.
It’s very refreshing to have Tim host this show rather than Greg or Colin. They host so much it’s nice to have them be able to sit back and discuss topics rather than bring them up. Tim is doing a great job finally hosting and I think will get even better with time. Loving the show guys, keep up the good work!
This podcast is spectacular and I can not tell you guys how much I appreciate the service thank you again guys
Wasn't sure about Tim hosting at first, but he does a great job.
The podcast is great! Greg, Colin, and Tim have great chemistry with each other and the topics are interesting. Not as well paced as Podcast Beyond, as the four or so topics are spread across an hour and a half, but like I said earlier, it's still fun to listen to on commutes. The thing that made Beyond! so great was all of the segments (Roper report, Andrew Goldfarb Memorial List, Worst PSN Name, etc). I think the Gamecast would greatly be improved if the show consisted of more segments. Keep up the good work, guys.
My favorite video game crew talks their opinions as well as their own video games stories that make this podcast very good
That's it. Subscribe now!
It's a pretty entertaining podcast and Greg, Colin, and Tim really bring their own flare to it that I really like. I agree with a lot of what the guys say. And to Colin. I aspire. To make my beard as cool as yours. If you actually read this. Again it's a great Podcast and it's really worth your time. -Robert
I love Colin, Greg and Tim's new podcast. I love finally hearing Colin and Greg talk about all games not just Playstation. Best new Podcast.
Starting to hit its stride. Can't get enough content from the Kinda Funny crew!
You all are doing a fantastic job, the topics are hot,I'm loving the conversional aspect of the show mixed with some news. Now sure you can get this news on IGN, but Colin, Greg, AND TIM are a highlight. Tim I know you're reading this, so don't sweat a thing cause your doing an amazing job hosting and I'm glad the Kinda Funny crew all decided to pick you to host that show. So keep on keepin on, and a massive beyond to you and the crew from Wisconsin!
Awesome podcast. Tim is awesome in my book. He somehow predicted some super smash bros. characters before they were announced. Pacman, palutena, and Mii. How did you know that? 3 for 3 come on.
I really have enjoyed the episodes I've watched so far. Tim is an okay host, but I think time may improve his comfort level and hopefully improve the chemistry with Colin and Greg. From the reviews I've read, I don't think anyone is truly opposed to Tim hosting, instead, they want the show to be successful, and right now it's not hitting on all cylinders. I also think that splitting up the show into four parts doesn't completely work and some of he segments are very very short. I think your off to a good start and being a loyal Beyond listener, I wish you the best and will continue to tune in. I hope the group assesses the few suggestions and implement what makes sense. I'm sure over time the show will be great and be 4 or 5 stars for me...
This show is intersting and shares many views with me and talks about my interests. Along with Tims silky smooth beatiful voice.
I love listening to Greg, Colin, Tim and Nick during my early morning stocking shifts at work. The passion these hosts display in all of their videos, podcasts, let's plays, and more continue to provide me with countless hours of entertainment. If your a fan of video games, this podcast isn't to be missed!
I have been a fan of all these guys for quite awhile. I think Tim is doing a great job at hosting, I don't get why people have issues. All the guys have great symmetry with each other. This show is an evolution of Beyond! And I love that. I can't wait for every Friday so I can watch the episodes in full. As a Patreon and Twitch supporter I feel like the content I am getting is awesome. I could listen to these guys talk about games for hours. I am glad that they all left IGN to do this. Keep up all the hard work guys, it's definitely paying off. I am excited to see all the great content you give us in 2015!
Hey guys. I just wanted to say that I love the show.
3 great guys! You can tell they love games and they have great insights and opinions
It will only get better from here as this specific hosting configuration finds its groove. I love Tim he's a great host and I can't wait to see his ability to host grow until he becomes the ryan seafoam of kindafunny. Im stoked I get to start this podcast on the ground floor.
It's new and finding its groove but still there is no other group of guys I would rather share the long days in the car with.
We love you Tim!
Sorry to say, it looks like I won't be following you guys on this journey. I tried to give the Podcast a chance, but this new unorganized "shoot from the hip" format is not what I listened to you for. This feedback is mostly for Tim. If you plan to push this forward into a successful Podcast, please take my advice. At least prepare a little before you sit down to record. This last nintendo direct saw incorrect information spouting left and right. Just an example: Anybody paying a modicum of attention knows the New 3DS has a larger screen than the original 3DS. Even Greg clearly knew. However, you state the size remained unchanged with such confidence that no listener (nor Greg) would assume you wrong. If you do not know the answer to a question, simply state so. When you are in a position of delivering information, it is advisable that said information not be made up. I'll give you a few weeks to figure stuff out and try again, but for now this issue of incorrect information is enough to prevent me subscribing to your patreon. Wish you luck -B
Loved these guys on beyond. Still great podcast. I think it's missing good segments and a good flow. That's part of what made beyond excellent. I know this is a different show but as an avid podcast listener I think it needs to develop a little more. Big fan of your work gentlemen. Keep it up.
So far it’s a good start. Very excited for the future of the podcast
I heard of the guys from the smodcast cross over episode they did on smodcast, so I decided to check them out and I'm glad I did this is a wonderful podcast please give it a chance
you guys are the best, I wish I could do what you guys do
Beyond! Keep at it, guys! Always cheering for you!
Coming into this I didn't know what to expect , I knew this wasn't going to be podcast beyond however I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how put together the show was . My only criticisms are that I think this should be broken up in to non topic sections , I know it was done so that the show can be broken up Monday through Thursday but it breaks the flow of the conversation. I was originally also concerned about Tim hosting but he is coming into his own and showing great promise . BEYOND jose
Tim, I recognize that to like my music and I think you are a pretty chill bro. This is a great podcast and screw the haters. #lettimhost has come true and you deserve it, have a great day my pure one ;) XOXO Yo Gurl, Taylor Swift
Tim really surprising me with how good of a host he is. #LETTIMHOST As a long time beyond fan I am super proud of these guys. Definitely go support them on patreon. They deserve every penny. Thanks for the awesome content.
Great topics and chemistry which I would expect from these guys. Keep it up!
You guys are the best
Love the show guys keep it up
First off get out of here with the Tim shouldn't be hosting crap. Tim does a fantastic job. I'm a huge fan of these guys and they have been making better and better products as time progresses. Watching all of them grow as people since the beginning of the GOG show has been awesome. These guys are now going after their dreams and because Tim's hosting style is different than Greg's doesn't mean he's worse. I love the way both of them host in different ways. #LetTimHost
Continuing with the greatness of the Kinda Funny channel, Kinda Funny Games has everything that you want in one place. Thanks for all the great content guys, keep it up!
People say Greg and Colin should host this saying it's not like beyond well it's not cause it's Tim show not Greg or Colin show Tim isn't same style which I'm perfectly ok with this is a great weekly podcast with Tim's weird way of doing
Love the gamescast please continue with the great work.
i love this podcast keep it up
This podcast is awesome, I'm a big Xbox guy so I never listened to Colin and Greg on podcast beyond. Being a kindafunny listener I really enjoyed them but never cared enough about playstation news to tune in regularly. These guys are awesome and it great to here them talking about all video games together there own way.
Downloaded the show when it was first available on iTunes. Have been three episodes so far!!! So far so good!!! Keep it coming!!!
The show is Fantastic.
Good podcast about games and stuff.
The show is great keep it up but the recording is super quiet. Can you guy bring it up a little so I don't have to adjust the volume of my devices when you guys are on
This podcast just started and I can tell it will be Beyond good.
We’re already seeing parts of episode 3 on YouTube, but episode 2’s audio isn’t even on iTunes yet. Can we get these a little quicker? Other than that I love the show and love you guys. <3
These guys deliver great news and commentary each and every week. If you want to hear the latest on what's going on in the video game world, subscribe to this and let Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty hit you with the good stuff.
Wish u all the best.
Pretty good start! Can't wait for more!
I like where this is going
But it works so well :D It still has its little things that they have fixed But I will follow these guys anywhere! :D
In some of the reviews, the kindafunny games is being compared to Beyond!, but it still only has 2 episodes and Tim had just started hosting(I think). This is a different podcast. Tim is just metamorphosing into a beautiful butterfly, and the podcast is just starting to blossom. It will have its own kinks and segments. I believe in this podcast's power and will continue to support it. Keep being awesome guys.
Greg and Colin bring their games expertise in an unbiased and fun podcast format. Listening to them every time they put up new content!
5 stars for Greg. Colin has always annoyed me and come off as a pushy neocon douche. Tim and Nick are whatever. Greg needs backup singers and these guys keep it going just fine and are his best friends so it all works. Fine by me as long as I get to keep hearing Greg spout his hilariousness yet informed opinion about games.
Best in class video game discussions. Needs more subscribers and viewers. Great crew who genuinely care about their fans.
Industry professionals tell us unfiltered opinions about video games. No limits just guys talking about games.
The audio is way too low. And Tim sounds like he's far away from the mic. Beyond(!) that issue, the content is fine. Enjoy the discussions.
Love the show. Keep it up.
Another great podcast by the Kinda Funny crew.
These guys branched off from one of the biggest video game websites to make their own content and it's great love the show.
BEYOND Kinda Funny!
If you love Podcast Beyond this is for you! The guys are here and completely unleashed! No topic or title is off limits!
Support these guys
It is great to hear Greg and Colin unleashed without the restrictions of IGN and Playstation. I was looking forward to hearing their views and opinions on all varieties of games. The only issue I have is that the sound is not great. I have to crank my volume all the way up to hear Greg and Colin talk. The host Tim Getty’s volume is still low even with the volume turned up. Miss Greg as the host but I am open to Tim as the host. Please fix the volume
Was patiently waiting for this from you guys. Love what you guys do and I can't wait to see what you guys grow into.
This is my favorite podcast. However, I do wish Greg hosted this show. This is basically just an uncensored version of podcast beyond.
I do not like the topic based thing and Greg is a born host. He keeps the energy up and knows how to create familiarity. Great video game banter and funny rabbit holes. Colin is made for news so I hope he keeps up with it and brings it weekly and tells it like it is so he would be wasted on opinion only topics. Keep up the good work it is nice to have a new top three gaming podcast.
Beyond! Since their humble beginnings at IGN, Tim Gettys, Colin Moriarty, and Greg Miller have always displayed a furious passion on video games. With Greg and Colin being podcasts veterans themselves ( Greg was a founder of IGN's PlayStation-focused Podcast Beyond!) the Kinda Funny Gamescast provides quality, and most importantly fun, commentary on current video game news and new releases. Whether it's Greg's crazy random and funny stories, or Colin's rants about business practices and the relationships between developers and consumers, there is something for everybody that loves video games here.
This podcast needs regular "segments" so that both the fans (and the hosts) have better flow
A great podcast for anyone who likes games. Great personality. Great content.
...these guys are VERY funny!! Great gaming podcast from the boys that bring you 'The Game Over Greggy Show'. If you like that, you'll love this!! Beyond!
Solid first couple episodes, though the show can feel a bit disjointed at times. Also, miss Nick's "unique" insight into games. Doesn't need to be in the entire show, but maybe bring him in for a segment?
I love these guys and all the nerdy things they do! I see great things for this podcast... In my minds eye
The Podcast for every gamer. That's what Kinda Funny Gamescast is. No longer do you have to be a Playstation fan to hear Greg and Colin go through their rigmarole. This is beyond Beyond, it's for every gamer. Tim(Let Tim Host!) is going to be a great host. He just needs a little time to fit into the shoes. Congratulations of your big jump guys. I wish you the best of luck!
Love the guys, love what they're doing, HOWEVER, I'm not sure I'm feeling the pacing and fragmentation of the show. It works so effortlessly with the GameOverGreggy Show since every member brings a different topic, which makes the segmentation feel much more natural. However, it feels much more forced on this podcast. I enjoy the topics and conversation so far, but perhaps consider just making this into ONE YouTube video so there isn't a need to have broken up topics? Either way, thanks for the great entertainment, as always.
Plain and simple guys, if you game, casually or obsessively, you should give this podcast a listen. Two veterans of the industry, entertainingly speaking about their love for videogames and their love for each other, haha. Utter brilliance. Fantastic work gentlemen. I applaud you.
If you are familiar with Greg Miller & Colin Moriarty from IGN's Podcast Beyond, #1 PlayStation Podcast, then you know what to expect here EXCEPT not just PSN but they talk about anything & everything in gaming. This is required listening for any gamer
I like the discussion on video games, I'm not expecting news but great discussions on video game topics. Keep up the great work Tim, it's great to have you leading the bunch. I like that it has a feeling of beyond but it's not. Which it's not suppose to be imo but a new show of greatness. Keep up the great work and you all rock!!!
Loved listening to Beyond once a week. It was just enough news for me to digest. I'm worried content will be stretched a little thin and get overwhelming over time. I hope I'm wrong... Good luck with the new venture. Nothing but respect for you guys!
Already the best podcast on the market. Time to close up shop, everyone else.
People need to understand, this is not podcast beyond. This is just 3 of the coolest guys you'll meet talking about your favorite games!
Anyone who's a fan of gaming should tune in. And if you're not a fan of gaming, you should still tune in. Some of the best personalities you've probably never heard of! Thanks for finally bringing these to iTunes!
The show is still a great listen for old beyond fans, but something about the show just doesn't flow like the beyond or Greg and Colin's morning news show.
Dear YourFace, I mostly agree with your statement, Greg and Colin are certainly the Dynamic Duo and almost have perfect chemistry with each other ever since their days in Podcast Beyond. Tim is the weakest of the new trio, but I only listen to this because of Greg and Colin and Tim just seems to introduce the topic and chimes in from time to time. I do think some improvement from him is needed and time will only tell if he does get better. I do hope for the best for him since he seems to have potential. I do recommend that you listen to Greg and Colin live on Twitch since it is the only the two of them and it's like listening to a new episode of the podcast beyond everyday, they recently just had Troy Baker on yesterday's episodes and it was great. He really seems like a good friend to both Greg and Colin. I have trust that this new podcast will get better in time.
I love it! It may not be podcast beyond but still this is so much better. I never get bored listening to you guys. Keep up the good work and let's get the party started. #timfinallyhosts
This is a phenomenal podcast, Colin and Greg have great insights in games.
I've watched Colin and Greg for a long time IGN. I'm excited for their new endeavors on Kinda Funny. Haven't seen much of Tim yet, but he likes Crash Bandicoot so he probably will be just as entertaining as Colin and Greg
Kinda Funny Games is turning out to be just as special as Kinda Funny. I get a lot more enjoyment out of it knowing that you guys control what is talked about and you can hear that passion. You guys are going to have ups and downs, but it's going to pay off! I love hearing you talk about other things besides PS.
I have given you guys a five star review because you obviously deserve a five star review. I was going to simply glow and gloat about your excellence and wish you good luck on your new adventure, having been a fan since day one. Then, I read the review below mine, and I must say I agree with the point he made. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say continue to let Tim host. He will get better, and I'll be sticking with you guys regardless because we are best friends and you don't abandon your best friends. Maybe Greg and Colin give Tim some helpful advice on how to make himself a more appealing host. God only knows they have the experience. My one piece of advice for him would be this; have a little more excitement in your voice when introducing the cast and transitioning topics. We like excitement, we've been listening to Greg for six years now. Other than that I love the new show I'm super duper stoked on all your new content and will be a fan of yours forever and ever. Love you guys, good luck.
Friends who podcast together - stay together. These guys are so hilarious and loveable that you can't help but smile and feel like you're part of the gang. These guys are seriously the best.
Loved you guys at IGN, really enjoy the new free style format. Great way to spend a couple of hours every week.
Thanks for getting this on iTunes! Keep up the great work! Go Islanders!
Only the best video game podcast ever!!!
It's like more podacst beyond but with everything gaming not just playstation stuff
You guys are always great on podcast "beyond!!" .hope everything works out for you guys in the future sincerely Chris from attention deficit order podcast .
As I've enjoyed Colin and Greg's banter for years now, I'm excited to see these guys move forward on their own. Keep up the great work guys! I cannot wait to see what great things are ahead.
5 star pedigree!!! Geeky goodness!
It pains me, PAINS me to say this but I was bored. I was NEVER bored listening to Greg and Colin on their Beyond! podcast. This is a review of what this first podcast was for me, but I firmly believe you guys have the magic to make this as special as the beyond podcast was if you are ok with hurting some feelings. Whose feelings might get hurt? Well, Tim's… Tim's feelings might get hurt. Here's what I loved about Beyond and what I think is missing in the current setup of this podcast. In Beyond! Greg hosted, he led the conversation, he also lead the tangents and encouraged them while still keeping things moving. Colin did this as well, Colin led his segments, he led the news bullet points which fostered the conversation. Greg was lead host, Colin was co-host and hurt feelings aside this worked, Tim hosting does not work. If Tim is going to be on the show he needs to be a third member who offers something constructive now and then but he should not be hosting, sorry Tim. Greg and Colin, you guys also had wonderful segments that were recurring each week which made me enjoy the flow of your Beyond! podcast better than any other podcast out there that I've listened to, this new show would benefit from that structure. Structure allows for tangents and also allows the host (which should be Greg) to move things along to the next structured segment when the current conversation runs stale. Greg and Colin, you guys have natural talent and instincts, when your nerves subside from this new venture and you can humbly but confidently own the talents you have in this area and kindly ask Tim to take a back seat, the show will be better for it. Tim, I have no ill will for you, you seem like a really nice guy. Since you guys are your own bosses now you need to be your hardest critics so that this new venture succeeds and for that reason Tim I think the show will be better if you take a back seat. I hope this review wasn't too harsh and I hope it helps in the long run. I really love all of you guys (you too Tim, I just don't think you should host) I want you guys to succeed, I want you to be happy, and I want you to find your groove. Best of luck and cheers!
