Love this show. The hosts are intelligent and energetic. they’re funny and know what they’re talking about.
Getting the ear of two experienced players, one a hall of famer, is free value.
Marshal and Luis are seriously the best. I love how much Ive learned about limited but I also love the Q&A episodes. Thank you for being a bright light in these dark times. I’ve enjoyed your content so much.
Marshall and Luis do more than just give card ratings; they slowly teach you the strategic foundation to evaluate cards for yourself and level up your game. Not only that, but they have great chemistry, and I’m not the only one who’s a sucker for Luis’ wit!
Keep the politics out of this.
If this was a martial art theses guys are our Shifu
Great show, discusses everything you need to be an informed limited playe and grow your skills. Entertaining to boot.
If you play magic limited, this is the show for you. I started out with dominaria knowing nothing about magic the gathering. I stumble upon LR and learn all the basic that allow me to improve my game play. I still remember my very first draft. I was super confident going in as I have read all the cards and listen to the set review. I promptly train wreck and went 0-3. My blood pressure went up and my adrenaline pump hard to my head as I question my existence. Skip forward to today, I have done 30 Ikoria drafts with a 65% win rate on BO3 drafts in arena. The best thing I learned from the show is have confident in my own card evaluation. Thanks LR for sharing my favorite hobby.
I’ve been listening to LR since sometime btw 2010-2012 I think, I can’t even remember. My first episode was Marshal saying good bye to his current host and starting the hunt for whoever was coming next which turned out to be Brian Wong. Listening to this podcast has improved my understanding of so many aspects of this truly amazing game. Thank you to Marshal and all hosts past and present for improving my life through MTG.
Best limited podcast of all time. Wait no, best Magic podcast of all time. Wait no, best PODCAST of all time.
Literally the greatest MTG podcast, not just for limited, but for MTG altogether.
I haven’t played MTG for almost a year, but still regularly listen to this podcast. It’s just a great time listening to the banter and content.
Great for Magic: The Gathering strategy and I have learned an invaluable amount from Marshall and Luis. Definitely worth listening to if you find that you want to level up your Magic game.
With great comradery and superb content, this show has been the touchstone for MTG limited content for years. Marshall brings unparalleled professionalism and LSV (as one of the greatest to ever to play the game) brings the profound insights. This dynamic duo will help you level up your game in no time.
These guys are the best - LSV & Marshall have great chemistry and great insight into the limited MTG format.
Experienced pros showing us newbies the ropes. Their stuff doesn’t just make you a good limited player. It helps you become a better Magic player across formats.
These guys simply set the bar for limited MTG content. A must-listen if you play limited.
Two cool guys putting out fantastic content week after week. LR is a windmill slam first pick!
Straight to the point. Nice guys. Good grading scale for learning what’s great, what you settle for, and what you avoid.
I really liked your VLOG!! I wish you could do it again!!
Marshall and LSV are a great combo!
Best podcast for competitive players. Helped me go 2-1 at FNM.
Too many “err whatevers” come out of Marshal’s mouth. He must use this no value added expression three dozen times per episode. I hear every one and each grates on my soul.
Maybe... let Luis get the soundboard a bit more often, like on the draft walkthroughs? Amazing Limited advice, great sign-offs, best podcast ever.
I love the interaction between Luis and Marshall. It makes it way cooler to listen to because it feels like we’re part of the conversation. The soundboard is amusing, keep it up. The only thing I would ask to improve would be the video version of it, and I know you’re working on it, thanks LR, and don’t stop doing what you’re doing!!!!!
You got this!!
Your show is a 5 but the soundboard is not amusing anyone but yourself. It would be funny except we have to listen to Marshals whining about it. Just do us all a favor and stick to the cards.
This podcast taught me how to draft. Every week Marshall and Luis have great incites into the current draft format or deep-dives into drafting in general. Definitely the best mtg podcast out there.
Good for anyone serious about magic and and is consistently interesting and funny. I’m always exited to listen to there opinions and compare mine to there’s. The best magic podcast for and any spike of player trying to get better at magic
I’ve been listening to podcasts for almost 10 years and I listen to something like 10 hours a week. I’ve given more than 40 podcasts a shot and Limited Resources is the clear pick and it’s not close. An added bonus was meeting Marshall and finding out that he is even nicer and friendlier in person than I could have imagined. Both current hosts totally rock, they’re the funniest guys I listen to (including the comedians I listen to) and the material they cover is applicable to beginners and veterans alike.
I imagine I'll get through the backlog in a year or two. This is good spikey magic content for mild/distracted listening.
A good level one podcast for beginners looking for advice, but can be disheartening as the podcast comes from a negativity first perspective when evaluating cards and draft formats and I think new players might have trouble relating to this hard to please attitude.
I recently started playing limited, and at first the format was very daunting. I found Limited Resources through watching a draft tutorial video from the professor. He had mentioned in the video that if you were really interested in getting the details about how to be a great drafter you should look into LR. After a little searching I found you guys, and I now consider draft to be the greatest format in MTG. My game has also improved significantly as well! I account most of it to LR, and I would encourage anybody trying to get better at drafting to make The podcast a priority in their development.
I play competitive magic and have Ben playing for around 3 years and I have listened to Limited Resources for around 1. I almost never draft but still love the show. Would recommend!
I'm continuously impressed by the level of quality and commitment that Marshall and the co-hosts bring to this podcast. It's one of my favorite things to listen to, both as entertainment and helping improve my magic skills. Highly recommended!
If you play Magic Limited (sealed or draft) and you don’t listen to LR, you’re really missing out
Best in the MTG podcast game. The bar to which all others are measured. DespiteLSV as cohost ;), Marshall is the consummate professional and trusted source for Magic: the Gathering strategy and content.
Amazing show with in depth analysis. They cover everything from broad deck strategy/archetypes to individual analysis of every single card in each set. Must listen if you play any limited and want to improve.
If you love the limited format these guys will keep you at the top of your game. Luis Scott-Vargo offers his masterful insight into the greatest game on earth. Accompanied by his co-host Marshall, these guys share tips that will give you an edge at your next pre-release or FNM draft.
No matter the level of player, they provide great insight and valuable knowledge to any limited player. Set Reviews are great and really help a casual drafter like me discover a format.
Phenominal podcast; Funny, Entertaining and freaking on point! This is exactly the content I want coming into a fresh prerelease (which is the only format I play these days). Thanks guys!
Top notch podcast here folks. If you like MTG and you like limited its the best content available. The format, back and forth between hosts and quality of discussion are what make this a 5/5. Good work Marshall! Louis is good too...
Lowe this show! I listen to every episode and am never disappointed!
Marshal and LSV provide the best Limited format content out there. This should be required listening for anyone hoping to improve their draft game. The LR team gives you a big leg up on the competition.
The most reliable podcast if you want to level-up and stay contemporary with limited (draft) Magic: The Gathering. Could use more diverse guest voices, but otherwise a gem.
This is a great recourse for new or returning players. Louis Scott Vargas is one of the best living magic players and Marshal is supremely helpful. Must listen for all limited players.
LR is a podcast about making you better at Magic. It's always done that, and I have no reason to believe it will ever not. Useful and insightful discussion married with a love of the game and some of the most interesting voices I've ever heard on playing games. I recommend everything, but pay special attention to the sign offs. There's something special in each cohosts approach. Start with the most recent episode, or the set review of your favorite format if you dare buy in for a 3-5 hour stretch. Trust me, the show will earn that kind of time from you.
Simply the best MTG podcast for limited. Discussion of great topics by great hosts, with the perfect mix of professional knowledge and entertainment value.
LR is the best podcast of its type - if you're a magic: the gathering player and want to get better at limited, this podcast will help.
Great podcast! The hosts are smart, funny, and experts in the world of MTG. This podcast has gotten me through some seriously boring days at work, and done wonders on improving my FNM and MTGO play. Many thanks! Keep it up!
These guys go all out and it shows, if your a fan of magic you really need check this podcast out
Would be great if you could have ITunes store all the podcasts relating to any blocks currently drafting (missing the RTR block reviews =/)
Entertaining and informative. I listen to each episode multiple times while walking to and from work, an in my car. Limited Resources is one of the primary reasons I've remained engaged in MTG over the past couple of years.
If you are a magic fan casual or hardcore. This is a must. Great charisma between hosts.
Yep. Both you guys.
These guys are amazing. Thanks to their gatecrash shows I was almost able to win my first Friday night magic draft, and would have if I hadn't had to leave early. Their advice helped me make a deck strong enough to beat some of my friends constructed decks. Great show, I recommend it to any new player.
Best Magic Podcast on the internet. Deep enough for a pro, and basic enough for the rest of us.
These two guys are fantastic. They do a great job of explaining limited gameplay and the current set, and they add a splash of general strategy. Not only that, but they're entertaining. I really think I could listen to Marshall and Jon discuss almost any topic. They have a good rapport and their voices are distinct. Finally, they seem to genuinely care about helping people improve their play.
If you want to improve your limited game, this is the first place you should go. Check it out!
I've been listening to this podcast for awhile now, and ever since I've noticed my limited gameplay getting better. Such a great resource for limited information, and just general strategy. Love Marshall and Jon as hosts (and happy I can always hear and understand them unlike some other podcasts) and the guests are always relative and well informing. Please keep it coming!
Limited Resources is far and away the best content available to accelerate your understanding of the game. Marshall and Jon provide excellent commentary on the strategy of Limited, psychology of tournaments, and the fundamentals of game play. I started listening to Limited Resources two years ago and they are a big part of the reason I went from being a decent FNM player to playing on multiple Pro Tours.
This podcast is just straight value. If you are getting back into magic, or coming in to limited for the first time, this is a great primer for limited. The bonus: Just a great time to pass the time as well!
I listen with my two Magic-playing kids each week because this is a great source of strategy for both experienced and newer limited players. Keep up the good work, gentlemen..... One minor quibble... You might consider "Limiting" Jon's end-of- podcast monologues.... They're just not that funny (although my nine-year-old would disagree with me here).
If you are looking for a dense, entertaining, USEFUL information, and AWESOME analysis podcast about magic the gathering limited strategy, then look no further. The hosts are funny, energetic, and very deliberate with their analysis. Quality discussions that in the end is aimed at a single purpose: get better at drafting. An these gentlemen do this in spades!
Marshall and Loucks entertain weekly as MTG Limited school is brought into session. Every week is LOADED with secrets and insider tips, and the set review episodes have become almost a ritualistic listening experience for most limited players. Thanks Guys. Seriously.
If you draft magic and you do not listen to this podcast then you are 50% of the player you could be.
Great show. Hands down my favorite MTG podcast.
Super insightful, on topic, thorough, and fun. A high quality podcast!!!
For my job I drive around LA county all day and listen to podcasts. Straight truth here this one is top tier no doubt. Downloaded it then thank me later
Thoughtful, professional and insightful podcast about magic the gathering draft formats. Listen to two of my favorite podcasters as they share their insights into the limited formats and join the largest mtgo clan.
Great insight and advice especially for rookie/casual players. Marshall is excellent and keeping things fast paced and interesting. Big focus on limited which is by far my favorite format so double win :) the only downside I see is you're not listening to LSV ;) Keep up the great work guys!
I was surprised how much I like this show. Great insights and they accommodate players of differing skillsets. Well done.
Limited Resources is the only magic related podcast worth listening to. These guys record the show with a professional quality sound and the content is always top notch. A great show for new players trying to improve and learn more about the game.
One of the best mtg pod cast not just for limited but for magic in general
Limited Resources is by far the ultimate podcast for Limited Magic. VALUE!
Great stuff. Really helpful advice. When a new magic set comes out, I am always geeked for their set reviews. They do an amazing analysis for draft.
Absolutely the most consistently useful and informative podcast on Magic drafting. I've grown my game a lot by listening to Marshall & co.
This podcast has helped me immensely. I wish there were more like it. Marshall is very enjoyable to listen to and obviously knows his stuff.
Thanks a ton for these and keep them coming. Just really started playing with M12 release and feel myself getting much better at drafting thanks to your shows. Cheers!
