Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast

Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast Podcast

Mission Log is a Roddenberry Entertainment podcast with the sole purpose of exploring the Star Trek universe one episode at a time. That’s right, this podcast will cover six different series and 30 seasons of television by journeying into every one of the 726 episodes with a single mission: to explore, debate and discuss one of the largest science fiction phenomena of all time, Star Trek. Starting with The Original Series’ initial pilot and continuing chronologically until we reach the last episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, each week our hosts, Ken Ray and John Champion, will tackle a single episode, delving into the most historical and hysterical science fiction that Star Trek has to offer. Along with a variety of guests and interviews, Mission Log will attempt to reach Star Trek’s ethical subtext, understand it’s complex metaphors and finally figure out what was the trouble with those tribbles. Explore strange new details. Seek out new perspectives; deeper understandings. Boldly go where so many of us love to go, again and again. Join us for Mission Log!

Supplemental 48 - The One with Gersha Phillips
This week, we’re happy to be joined by Gersha Phillips, costume designer on Star Trek: Discovery. How has technology changed the field? Were the Disco Klingons designed to thwart cosplayers? Hold tight - regular programming will return...   Get in touch with us!   On Facebook: On Twitter: @missionlogpod On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Online:   We may use your comments on a future episode of Mission Log....

311 - The Jem'Hadar
Commander Sisko leads an educational camping trip in the Gamma Quadrant for Jake and Nog. Quark comes along just to make it super uncomfortable, but maybe he'll find some time to bond with Ben too - especially if it means cutting a deal for himself back on DS9. All the fun around the campfire stops, though, when a dangerous new enemy makes itself known. The Jem'Hadar drop into this week's Mission Log. Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Onli...

310 - Tribunal
It’s a very merry unvacation for the O’Briens. A romantic getaway for Keiko and Miles shifts quickly to Miles being sentenced to death on Cardassia Prime. All that’s left now is the trial. A verdict that’s already decided, a defense attorney that can’t abide the idea of winning… if it all sounds terrible, just think of the children as Tribunal goes into the Mission Log.    Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Online: We may use your comments ...

The Collaborator goes into this week’s Mission Log.    Get in touch with us!   On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Online:   We may use your comments on a future episode of Mission Log....

308 - Crossover
Major Kira and Doctor Bashir find themselves on DS9, but everything's a bit different. Cardassians are working with Klingons, humans are used for slave labor, and Kira is in charge! Not our Kira, the other Kira. Meet the Intendant but say goodbye to Quark and Odo when we put Crossover into the Mission Log.   Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Online: We may use your comments on a future episode of Mission Log....

307 - The Wire
Fun Fact: The repetitive epic is the most elegant form in Cardassian literature. Also, Dr. Bashir is having lunch with plain, simple Garak. But things with Garak are not as simple as they seem. Kind of like the last time they had lunch. And the time before. And the time before. It is The Wire on this week’s episode of Mission Log.    Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: missionlogpod On the phone: (323) 522-5641 Online: We may use your comments on a future episode of Mission Log....

304 - Profit and Loss
An old flame of Quark’s happens by DS9. She’s a Cardassian, but not just any Cardassian. She’s teacher to a couple of students with radical ideas. This gets the interest of Garak the tailor. But he’s not just any tailor. An outcast of his home world, he’d kill to get back to Cardassia. Literally. It doesn’t take much to see that problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans on DS9, when Profit and Loss lands in the Mission Log.    Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: On Skype: ...

303 - Playing God
O’Brien is playing God to a bunch of Cardassian voles. Dax is playing God to a Trill initiate. Sisko is playing God to two whole universes. Who isn’t playing God?!? Well… Odo. And Quark. But Kira is. Kind of. Listen in as Mission Log plays with Playing God.    Get in touch with us! 301 - Paradise
Ben Sisko and Miles O’Brien are surveying planets for future colonies. They find one that seems to have a colony already. A human colony. But there’s no record of it, and they’re not responding to hails. Leave well enough alone? That’s not the Sisko way. The two men soon find themselves prisoners on a planet that’s sworn off technology, under the thumb of a despotic leader. Will they escape? Will others follow if they do? Find out when Mission Log lands on Paradise.   Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On ...

298 - The Alternate
Odo’s dad shows up on Deep Space Nine. Well, his foster dad. Okay, the scientist who studied him from his days as an unrecognizable puddle. Their relationship is full of caring and misunderstanding, like so many scientist/subject relationships. Dr. Mora turns into a controlling father figure who just wants Odo to come home, while Odo turns into a mindless monster who just wants to see his father figure dead. Family - amiright? The Alternate goes into this week’s Mission Log.   Get in touch with us! On Faceb...

Except Melora doesn't want their help. In fact, she's rather dismissive of everyone until a certain Doctor tries to break through her barriers and possibly treat her disability. Also, someone tries to kill Quark. Melora goes into the Mission Log.   Get in touch with us! On Facebook: On Twitter: ...

291 - Cardassians
Plain, simple Garak is back, though there is nothing plain nor simple about the young Cardassian he’s spotted on DS9. The kid’s name is Rugal and he was raised on Bajor, as a Bajoran. Things get even less simple when Gul Dukat gets involved. And all pretense of simplicity gets shot out of an airlock when Rugal’s biological father turns out to be a high ranking politician on Cardassia. Will Rugal get to go home with his father?
