Aggregated reviews for Stuff You Should Know

If you've ever wanted to know about champagne, satanism, the Stonewall Uprising, chaos theory, LSD, El Nino, true crime and Rosa Parks, then look no further. Josh and Chuck have you covered.

Sysk   (2/5)

Kinda of annoying how they always try to one up each other. And when either one says anything interesting that the other person didn’t know they just say “for sure”.

Love it!!   (5/5)

So thankful to have a podcast I can listen to alone or with my kids. Appreciate all this knowledge!!

One of my favorites   (5/5)

My son originally told me about this podcast. He was correct-I do love listening to Josh & Chuck. The topics vary and it never gets stale. Great for long commutes! Can usually get one in on my way home.

Bill Gates is a criminal   (2/5)

Good stuff, until you had Bill Gates on, who should literally be in prison for crimes against humanity

It's almost as if I know them   (5/5)

I've been listening to this show for about 2 years now and every time I put on an episode it's like getting to talk with old friends. Sometimes the banter and tangents are more interesting than the topic itself! Josh's one liners that come out of nowhere with complete deadpan delivery are my favorite. I came to this show for the learning, but I stayed for the bond they've created between themselves and their listenership.

I really like this podcast.   (5/5)

This podcast should be the representative of podcasts. It’s informative, (mostly) family friendly, and casual. The occasional humor lightens up the topics and makes them easier to understand. Every time I listen to this I learn something new, and new episodes come out often, whereas a lot of other (also really informative) podcasts sometimes only come out once a month. I love it. Very relaxing.

Awesome Show   (4/5)

Great show guys! This podcast is absolutely amazing, and my only thing I have to say is I wish you would make it just slightly more family friendly. Thanks, guys!

So informative, awesome. From a Girl   (5/5)

This podcast is great. Their rambling is just an amplifier of interest. I listen to podcasts to go to sleep, and when I listen to this one I drift off knowing that I’m learning, and even when I don’t listen to this to go to sleep I learn a lot. It’s helped me through quarantine and my anxiety issues.

Josh, Chuck   (5/5)

I miss when your ads were about actual products instead of advertising competing “iHeart” podcasts that sound absolutely god awful and are made by un-charismatic dork hosts. Keep up the good work, thank god I can listen to you guys instead.

Too much talk about politics   (3/5)

I have been listening to this podcast for well over a year! I actually really enjoy SYSK and I can appreciate how well Josh and Chuck work together. I even listen to it while I sleep! As someone who is well versed on politics, I come to SYSK for a break from politics. Up until this election year (2020), they were great at keeping politics out of SYSK! Recently, it’s hard to find one that doesn’t mention politics. Politics has no place in an episode about dieting (for example), all it does is alienate a large percentage of their audience. I’d understand if it was an episode about how politics work but normally it’s not. Reading other reviews it seems everyone else agrees. Please keep politics out of my formerly favorite podcast. Thanks

Great podcast   (5/5)

Always learning something interesting. Thanks guys

I love it!! 🤩   (5/5)

We love your podcast! We listen to it as a family in the car, at night, and whenever we get a chance! Please keep making more family friendly podcasts! Pls make a part two for the coin shortage episode! Shout out the the Rem’s!

Always Informative   (5/5)

Have been listening to this since I got my iPhone (7ish years). These guys know what they’re talking about and work so well together. Sure they go off tangent a little but they know when to bring it back and continue with information.

Everything was good until   (1/5)

With the current events going on in 2020, I had hope to hear about the craziness of 2020. Instead we get dated, obvious and mediocre topics. There’s a pandemic you choose to do a topic on Billy the Kid? Jigsaw puzzles? How soaps work? The United States of America’s finally told the world UFO are real and you talk about the “ moon walk” dance move? Bye Felicia. Thank you for the years of service.

Consider me soothed   (5/5)

I’ve been listening to sysk for years, and have found it especially nice during the pandemic. I have a newborn and have been struggling with isolation and feeling overwhelmed. Listening to Josh and Chuck when I wake up to feed at night helps keep anxiety at bay. I have yet to find another podcast I like even half as much. Thanks for what you do!

Too many ads!   (3/5)

I’ve been a fan of this podcast almost from the beginning. The repartee between Josh and Chuck is both entertaining, informative and comforting. Their popularity over the last few years, however, has lead to way too many commercials. I often listen in the evening and I have sadly had to stop because of the frequently repeated ads. So sad to unsubscribe!

Time better spent elsewhere   (1/5)

A bit drawn out, then they waste time pushing their political propaganda.

THE. BEST.   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck are the best. Period. I love learning with this podcast!

Bill gates episode makes me afraid of the world & this podcast   (3/5)

I generally super love this podcast and give it so many stars, but the bill gates show is terrifying, and I’m so confused about the attempt here to reach out to the worst of our society when you often do the best. I had to stop listening and might forever if you continue this “journalism.” Boo, buddies. Boo.

👍👍👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤪🤪😁   (5/5)

Informative and entertaining!   (5/5)

I was hooked after just two episodes. I really enjoy the banter and Josh’s occasionally dark sense of humor. A wide range of topics covered in just the right amount of detail.

Love the pod   (5/5)

Keep up the great work! Appreciate y’all

Love love love!   (5/5)

Absolutely awesome podcast! I love it. One thing: the book is Revelation, not Revelations. No “S”. Thank you for this podcast!!!

Overall Fan   (4/5)

I'm a fan of the two hosts and think it's a fun way to get info. With that said it feels as if there are so many commericals/ads. As a podcast listener I support content creaters getting revenue but I'd prefer if they would work it so they take a break mid episode to get the ads in then finish up the episode. I've comments here about politics being injected into conversatoins. I'm not a fan of it in this format but they're human beings and have their own opinions.

Can’t wait for the book   (5/5)

Love the podcast guys! Can’t wait for the book. I’ve pre-ordered and ready to read!

News or entertainment   (5/5)

Have been listening for a couple years and really have enjoyed learning and laughing about unusual facts. However, interviews with Bill Gates on Covid? Pretty disappointing to hear news that I can get anywhere else. I listen to Josh and Chuck to escape from the arduous daily “stuff”.

Love it! But can I just say...   (5/5)

I love this podcast! Not sure if you want to hear it but I usually choose this to fall asleep to because you guys are super calming and down to earth. Your voices and topics are really relax me. So when there’s those random few seconds of transitional music it always startles me. The music and the tone of your voices are really contrasting. Still 5 stars.

All time favorite podcast!   (5/5)

As a podcast junkie who has listened to so many different programs, this tops the list. The hosts give an easy to understand and 100% explanation of various things. Very educational and comical!

Such a good podcast so much stuff I didn’t know!😄

Got me started   (5/5)

This was the first podcast I listened to is still my favorite years later. Any topic they dive into they make fun and entertaining to learn about. Josh and Chuck are the gold standard

If ye must stand...   (3/5)

It were better ye stand with Nestride Yumga in support of her assessment that “Black Lives Matter is a joke”. (Check out the 9 minute video on YouTube.) for she was right over the target. Have ye not heard “wherever there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather”? There’s BLM for you. Much like the Russia collusion narrative was a hoax perpetrated on the American people by liberal politicians and the liberal mainstream media, this narrative that liberal politicians and media outlets genuinely care about black lives is also a hoax. They pander and virtue signal just to get their vote. Election cycle upon election cycle, generation upon generation, here a liberal there a liberal...liberals/democrats frighten many black Americans with boogeyman stories about conservatives and republicans being racists. And believing these lies, these Americans continue to vote in state and local elections for liberals and their policies which have not profited blacks in major urban areas like the cities of Chicago, Minneapolis, and Baltimore to name a few. Black America: Why should liberals/democrats buy the cow when they’re already getting your milk for free? They KNOW they don’t have to put in actual work for your vote. “sneaky Uncle” Joe Biden all but told you as much during his interview with the Breakfast Club. He says if you’re not voting for him, you’re not black. Now what else can this man get away with but to call you his bottom bSTARtch??? Or how many ways can he call you stupid on air before you decide you’ve had enough??? If you dont like what is happening in your communities, look carefully at your local elected officials. It has been the case for DECADES that Democrats are in control of all the major cities in the U.S. where you see these riots in progress. That is NOT merely coincidence. Democrats gave rise to the Confederacy, segregation, and the Klan. The Democrat party is STILL hateful towards Black America, only nowadays they hide it behind smiles and platitudes. They will lock you up if you try to open your business back up or attend church services, because they don’t want you to spread the Wuhan Corona virus-THEY SAY. But if you want to run RIOT in the street and attack Law Enforcement, Democrats/Liberals have no problem with that- - -they will even fork over the cash for your bail. Don’t you see that the Democrats/Liberals are trying to put a black face on lawlessness?

The best ever.   (5/5)

Funny, informative, calming, and delightful .

Lol   (5/5)

Chuck and Josh. I really appreciate everything y’all do. I know through these times it can be difficult to keep an optimistic outlook but you and the team make it easier.. huge kudos to you all and I sincerely thank you for making my day better to get through. Can I get a call out to ATL !! Thanks for everything you all do !!!! Keep it going and me and my love ones will keep listening !! Also the dry humor is hilarious.

these guys are the best   (5/5)

not only does the podcast live up to the name, the josh and chuck combo can make anything interesting

Big fan of this podcast since 2009   (5/5)

I’ve been listening to this amazing podcast since 2009 and I’ve seen them live in Utah in 2019. This podcast is a fun way to learn and I enjoy how Josh and Chuck interact with each other. I like the little bit of comedy with their banter and their friendship. It feels corny to say that I feel like I’m a part of their friendship but I do. They talk about their fans in an inclusive way and make jokes about how their fans may perceive x, y, or z and I enjoy it. When I am having a rough day, I often turn to this podcast for all it brings to pick me up. I feel that they are very sensitive about trying to discuss sensitive topics and not get too political and admit to their unconscious bias or white privilege or lack of full-knowledge about a topic. Truthfully, I wish they felt a little more able to express their views because they have a great platform to help marginalized people and groups. Yes, they are two white guys who are not particularly diverse. However, they highlight the women in their lives, who work on the podcast, and in history in a refreshing way. I feel that equality and treating people fairly matters to them. I appreciate you Josh, Chuck, Jeri, and any one else who helps get this podcast out behind the scenes.

Balance   (5/5)

I find this podcast to be the perfect balance between information and conversation. A unique and very pleasant sense of humor undertones throughout. I plan to be a listener for quite some time 👍

Transphobic   (1/5)

A 2019 episode on a trans man was nothing but misgendering them and sidestepping information, Disappointing, considering how feminist-positive this show seems to be. I love this show, but Ignorance is no longer an excuse for doing this to trans people, please do better.

This is the best podcast ever   (5/5)

This is yhe best podcast i love is so much and listen to it every day keep up the good work guys you are amazing and so nice😎

The podcast is good but...   (4/5)

People in the reviews need to calm down about the political talk they sometimes have. If you do have a problem, feel free to put it here but you can’t complain about them talking about politics and then show your affiliation by openly criticizing those of the opposition. Hypocrisy at its finest.

My parents force me to listen to this   (4/5)

It's ok I guess, but I wouldn't listen to it if I had a choice. Some episodes are really boring, but some are good. :)

Wasps   (5/5)

Good episode. Little anecdote about wasp stings, i was visiting relatives in central Louisiana when my 5 year old sister was stung on the hand by a nasty red colored wasp (maybe a hornet?). My aunt sat her down in the kitchen, cut a large onion bulb in half and pressed it on the wound, and within two minutes my sister was fine, telling us where the nest was. Evidently something in the onion either neutralized the venum or, as my aunt put it, sucked the venum out of her hand. Always remember that trick as my sheds are full of wasps. Good discussion, maybe you can do one on avoiding black widows, as I have lots of those as well. Thanks for reading, Larry in Beaver Utah.

They’re Grrrreat!   (5/5)

I like this show a lot. It is great to listen and learn of these interesting things. I have read other reviews that say the show is political. I do not agree. Obviously biased toward the truth and reality can be viewed as political if your views come simply from faith or opinions. Science and research will often reveal truth. Some people can not except reality. Great show! Keep up the good work.

Great banter, fine information   (5/5)

Interesting introductions into a wide range of topics. Kudos to the research team. I personally love the banter, if you don’t you may find this pod unbearable

Keep it up!   (5/5)

I love the tangents. Hilarious stuff guys.

This Show is Soul Food   (5/5)

It’s not just that it’s extremely interesting and brings life to even the most mundane-sounding subjects. It’s the chemistry between Josh and Chuck. Josh is this goofy but brilliantly insightful guy who says the funniest stuff that also makes you think, and Chuck is sort of the straight man who says what we at home are all thinking. It’s lightning in a bottle. Utter magic. I’ve been going through a divorce recently and I began living in a tiny apartment by myself at the beginning of the COVID outbreak. It’s been very depressing and lonely, but this show has practically saved my life. These guys are the friends I utterly lack as an American, college-educated adult living far from the city in which he grew up. I literally leave old episodes running all night while I sleep for emotional comfort, like a ticking clock acts as an artificial mother’s heartbeat for a puppy. The fact that there are like 700 episodes of this show is proof to me that God loves us and wants us to be happy. And it’s such a wholesome show too. Like I don’t care if things get a little colorful personally, but they’re very careful to keep their comments PG and mostly apolitical in a way that doesn’t harm the spirit of the show at all. Like if I had kids I would be totally cool with any age group listening to this show. And if it’s a show with disturbing content they will warn you ahead of time. It’s just everything a podcast should be. Listen to literally any episode except the one about the Sun and you’ll be enchanted.

Okay   (2/5)

Interesting information, but sadly it’s becoming more and more political. I listen to podcast like these for a break from all that 🙄

Love this podcast but...   (4/5)

I really like the topics and style but the mixing is a little uneven (ex. one voice is quiter then the other, transition music for ads and things is very loud) other then that great podcast!

Use to be solid   (1/5)

Well I was a huge fan until they had to make it political. Its not hard to tell what side of politics both of them are on but Crikey keep that to yourself. Nobody wants to hear your political jabs when trying to actually learn about a non political topic. 10 year listener right here and calling it quits boys... Too bad lefties cant keep their mouth shut about stuff they really dont know...

Amazing! 🤩🤪🥳 (with some amazing book reviews)   (5/5)

Hi guys! I know you don’t read the reviews (I don’t think) but I’m going to write this anyway! (Also warning this is going to be long because I have a lot of things in my mind) I love this podcast so much! I listen when I’m cleaning my hamsters cage, drawing, or to tune out the rest of the world. I love learning new facts about random things! One of your new episodes is one of my favorites. It’s the episode about the Rosetta Stone. The Rosetta Stone is something that has interested me for a while, but I was to lazy to research. Now, with this podcast, I have been able to research pretty much anything in 13-94ish minutes! I also love you guys’ episode on soap and (an old one) your episode on Lewis and Clark. I also recommend some books to anyone reading this review. I recommend that you read these book series (in this order because they make more sense) 1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians 2. The Heroes of Olympus 3. The Kane Chronicles They are all by Rick Riordan and are AMAZING!!! I know you probably don’t care about the reviews but anyone else reading this could get some good advice from this review. Sorry that this was so long. Bye! -A huge fan!

Amazing podcast!!!!   (5/5)

While chuck and josh do sometimes show their political affiliation, it’s pretty normal for all of us to slip up like that, they provide excellent and fun information on all topics, and have excellent chemistry and character, enough so to make this a really enjoyable podcast, I never would have thought I’d enjoy listening to an hour long podcast about flea circuses, or how soap is made, but chuck and josh have proved me wrong, no matter what they believe, they run one of the best podcasts out there! Keep it up guys!

We have political differences (laughing)   (5/5)

I can’t listen to the boys anymore. They expresstheir opinions, using well researched facts and I now realize they are just another parroting voice in the radical leftist agenda. They obviously use Wikipedia as their only source of information, then begin elaborating above and beyond the wiki backbone as if there is other information to be found beyond simple rehashing. Radicals!!! They are Chinese antifata plants propagating their liberal agenda. Don’t be fooled!

I’m lovin Podcast ❤️❤️   (5/5)

I think these two guys can make most anything interesting and fun. Even Tapeworms!!! Landfills!!!!! Soil!!! Poop!!! Just to name a few🙃

Excellent Podcast, Terrible Ad Music   (4/5)

This is my favorite podcast of all time. I have been listening to it for years and love learning strange facts that I can spout off later to anyone who would listen. I mainly use it to fall asleep to and it really helps prevent me from getting anxious and spirally before bed. I especially love the episodes about children toys and nature. My only complaint is the ad intro/outro music. It really does not match the rest of the podcast and can be very jarring to go from the soothing talking tones to a harsh song. I would pay good money to have a premium version of this podcast with no ads. Honestly, I would probably pay for a version that had ads but not their intro/outro music.

I love this sooo much!   (5/5)

From hummingbirds to the Oxford comma - I am completely on board. Please come to Denver!!!

Can’t take them anymore   (1/5)

Used to be a loyal listener until they couldnt stop interjecting their political beliefs into everything. The final straw was their glorification of BLM. That organization wants to dismantle everything good about our nation and these two willingly tow the line for them. Clowns

How many more?   (1/5)

Can’t do it anymore, how many listeners will chuck run off before it’s all over?

Great podcast, lots of commercials   (5/5)

Been listening over a decade and loved the banter and topics. They’re not as political as some of the snowflakes on here make them out to be. One gripe is the growing the length of commercials but that’s the sacrifice for free podcasts I suppose.

BEST   (5/5)

Another lost listener   (1/5)

It’s absolutely disgusting that you use this as a platform for your political opinions that no one cares about. Like other bitter, sore loser liberals you continue to accuse Russia for Hilary losing the election. Still waiting for the evidence that doesn’t exist to come to light. Oh, before I forget, no one cares about your personal stories and childhood, Chuck. You’re just a washed up guy who didn’t succeed at other things in life so you should probably stick to the one thing that’s gotten you some success: talking about other people’s successes.

All Time Fave Podcast   (5/5)

This is my all time favorite podcast. I am a long time listener and always enjoy Josh and Chuck’s research and humor. I’ve even been to see a live show once. The episodes are hilarious and have helped me become a trivia team MVP 😂 I hope they never stop making new episodes! Love SYSK!

Just the best!   (5/5)

I gave you 5 and more to stave off the “Karens” due to the Essential Oil Podcast; Great show blending entertainment and knowledge with awesome hosts making for the perfect podcast.

Had enough.   (5/5)

Long time listener. No more. Although the hosts keep their liberal views in check for the most part, their recent glorification of Black Lives Matter and Black Panthers is too much. These are dangerous organizations that wish to dismantle our country and our values. I wonder if Josh and Chuck have even read their charters. Remember “Pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon!!” Be careful the far left. It is dangerous. Shame on Josh and "The Black Lives Matter organization does not care about all Black lives," he said. "They don’t care about police officers who are killed. They don’t care about Black-on-Black crime at all. They don’t care about school choice. It is a very extreme organization that really only cares if a police officer is involved in a killing. What bothers me more than anything else, you look at their manifesto, it is extremist."

Way too much talk about nothing   (1/5)

You guys spent literally 20mins talking about your book and not the content - I’m gone....

Fantastic   (5/5)

Maybe the best all around comprehensive and enjoyable podcast out there. Maybe some topics are not necessarily accurately represented as far as some minor details go but you guys don’t claim to be perfect which I love. I get the gist. Love what you do thanks for all you do. Michael m.

Funny, Conscientious, and Interesting   (5/5)

I’ve been listening intently to this podcast for about 3 years, and it just keeps getting better. Today’s Mercator Projection pun almost made me spit out my morning coffee, and it pushed me to finally write a review. Josh and Chuck cover a wide variety of topics, and while they sometimes have some humorous gaps in the research, it is more than excusable considering the width of their scope. Most importantly, they encourage an accepting attitude toward other people.

Stuff You Should Know   (5/5)

If you can’t handle a little nonsense, you might want to pass on this one. It’ll drive you nuts. It’s like Sesame Street, the perfect blend of educational and entertaining.

YES   (5/5)

Keep uploading these podcasts are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍

Too many tangents, not well researched   (2/5)

Too many unrelated tangents and not enough focus on the episode's topics. I've listened to a few episodes now and they don't seem well-researched either. Great concept if done well...

Ignore all the idiots   (5/5)

Any body you give them one star for “using wiki pages” or that something like that stupid stuff. Great job on the show and who cares about those nay saying idiots.

Love this podcast   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck have a wonderful rapport which comes through in the casual and often comical way they discuss the various topics. The show is friendly, casual yet professional. Their presentation is genuine, not put on or pretentious. Well researched, informative and entertaining.

Love it!   (5/5)

Love this podcast it’s got me through quarantine! I’ve learned so much

Best podcast ever!!!!!!!!😆   (5/5)

The two people who run this podcast are absolutely incredible people, they are interesting and factual and I feel like I’ve known them forever even though we have never actually met

Favorite by Far   (5/5)

Going on 3 years listening and finally figured I owed it to Chuck and Josh to write a review. I’ve hooked many friends onto the podcast as there’s something for everyone. Every episode guarantees knowledge, chuckles, and fun facts to share (and sometimes annoy) family members and other friends with. I’ll listen for as long as they keep podcasting!

Josh and Chuck. JC for short. Jesus Cheebus.   (5/5)

These guys are amazing. The perfect blend of info and banter at a time when everyone needs someone to talk to. Always find myself riffing along with them. This podcast should be #1 all around. These guys are dedicated, educated and keep bringing the facts and keep people questioning how things work. After 8 years of listening I love keeping up with the these guys and learning something new every week. Keep it up fellas, we are always listening

Nice So good   (5/5)

Nice podcast it teaches you so much. And it is very interesting. I recommend this podcast. I have just started watching it and it is so good. You will learn so much from this podcast. They are smarter than me! Please make more episodes. It is so good and it is a interesting podcast. Also it helps me go to sleep 😴 YOU WILL LEARN SO MUCH FROM THIS PODCAST!!!!!! Keep it going🤩

These guys are the best   (5/5)

Hilarious, fantastic chemistry, informative. I’ve been listening to these guys since 2009. They've helped me though high school, college, medical school and beyond. So grateful they’re still making the show, please don’t stop guys! They don’t always get all the details right, but they’re probably the most accurate “infotainment” podcasts around. Legends for a reason!

This is THE Podcast of Podcasts   (5/5)

The OG podcast. The team at Stuff You Should Know delivers consistent, well-researched on all kinds of stuff...well, that you should know! Complete with darling radio personalities and entertaining witty banter, this will always be my #1 go-to podcast.

Favorite Podcast? Maybe. Favorite Pocasters? Definitely!   (5/5)

These two are right up there with lemon and Matthau, Martin and Smith, Channand Tucker, Ferrell and Reilly. They make you laugh. Wanna talk about rocks for 45 minutes, sure if these two are talking I’ll listen for how ever long you make it. I’ve been a listener since 2016 and I’ll be a listener until they stop.

Great podcast   (5/5)

yea like other reviewers said it will make you sound smart about specific and obscure topics. But also on a more personal level it reminds you the world is an inexhaustible source of curiosity. Like where does the mattress I am laying on come from? Why am I sweating with this tee shirt more??🤓 But also on still another level, there is something so soothing warm and reassuring about the way the hosts interact.

Light-hearted and informative   (5/5)

I’ve been listening to you two for over 12 years. Still one of my go to podcasts. Thanks for highlighting interesting topics and keep us entertained for so many years.

Sound smart to your friends   (5/5)

Chuck and Josh have made me sound much smarter than I actually am to both my wife and friends. If you’re dumb like I surely was before starting Stuff You Should Know, you should listen too! 😉

Best podcast   (5/5)

Very informative and funny love the commentary on the podcast.

90% of the time I like   (4/5)

Have been listening to for a long time, but I get tired of the belittling of the south. Believe it or not, we (white folks) are not all racist and stupid. Especially the Freedom episode. Mississippi was a poor state. My grandparents were also sharecroppers. And, with regard to integration/desegregation, I was bussed to an inner-city school in the 60’s. Why isn’t that ever talked about?

Two idiots   (1/5)

I don’t know how anyone can listen to these guys. They come across as dumb and unlikeable. Half the show is ads and off topic banter. They only know what they repeat from Wikipedia and it’s obvious.

Kidney stones   (5/5)

I had a kidney stone. The ultrasound broke it up. That afternoon - gone. Extremely painful but gone. I’m convinced I got the stone because I was taking a lot of calcium at the time. Great shows. All of them.

Yes   (5/5)

Very good yes

Great content, fun to listen to   (5/5)

This is an overall kudos for the podcast. I love the shows and I have gotten my 10 yr old son hooked on it too. On our 30-40 minute drive to his gymnastics practice he picks an episode from the list and roll out. He follows along and enjoys the banter and goofy remarks. If the episode gets too deep in the weeds for him we will pause and I will try to provide some context for him. Great work to your entire team. Thanks!

Fun and informative   (5/5)

I listen to a ton of podcasts and this is my favorite. Chuck and Josh have such a great rapport that they make even the most mundane topics (not that jackhammers or grass are mundane topics) interesting

I Love it!❤️🤩   (5/5)

It’s nice to listen at night and it gives me something to think about as I fall asleep. The topics are also really interesting and educational the only thing I would change is all the ads cause they wake me up as I’m tying to go to sleep but it’s an over all GREAT podcast!

Awesome!   (5/5)

One of my favorites!   (5/5)

Well presented, well researched- excellent compatibility between the hosts- and the topics are varied and amazing. Absolutely one of my most favorite podcasts to listen to!

Anti-experts   (3/5)

This is one of those podcasts where two ordinary people read a bunch of stuff they Googled. I know people like this casual approach, but I worry about accuracy (and that people don’t want to listen to the real historians and journalist). In the Tiananmen Square episode one guy is surprised to learn the Chinese put their family names first. Come on man. What else don’t you know?

The lie continues   (1/5)

I’m really disappointed in Josh and Chuck and their patronizing Black Panther episode. They did a real disservice to the black community and themselves with that episode. Today the new film, Uncle Tom, premiered and I hope they can find their balls, see it, and review it. How the lie continues: When Malcolm X is standing with a rifle looking through the window curtain of his house, he is trying to protect his family from the Nation of Islam who are setting fire to his house and later will assassinate him. But the caption beneath the picture will always read “By any means necessary.“

Black lives matters is racist   (1/5)

Black lives matter is the extremist of the leftist agenda. They are trying to rip America apart.

love this!   (5/5)

I’m only 13 and I have learned lots of information from this. I just found this podcast channel and I will definitely start listening to you guys more! 😋

Best podcast ever   (5/5)

I started listening to SYSK about 5 years ago, and have listened to every podcast while I am running or driving to work. Josh and Chuck are so entertaining and so informative that they always make my day and help explain such a variety of topics. Now that I have caught up with every episode I am going to start over! I also enjoy Movie Crush with Chuck and the End of the World with Josh (I drive to Chicago to see Josh live, and he is informative and entertaining even with discussing existential threats). Guys - I’m a huge fan, I’ve preordered your book, and please don’t stop making such great content!

Mind blown!   (5/5)

Been listening to you guys for a while, (love the show) and it wasn’t till just moments ago I had both of your voices mixed up!!! I had to go to you tube to see each of you speak and it’s freaky to me lol! Anyways you guys make my 8 hour work shift and 30 min to and from work much shorter!

Used to be great   (2/5)

Commercial breaks way too often. Break off and do your own thing dudes. This show used to be great. Now I rarely and begrudgingly attempt to listen. Bah.

Early Adopter... Late Reviewer   (5/5)

I was hooked from the very beginning (well, to be honest, I didn’t start listening until episode 12, but it didn’t take long to catch-up). Josh and Chuck are great! I even watched the television show when it aired. My school-age daughters and I love listening together and we always get a kick out of the wild tangents. We’ve also co-opted the “great band name” interjections.

Freaking love these guys   (5/5)

I love Josh and Chuck SOOOO MUCH. They just have such amazing chemistry; the way they play off of each other cracks me up so much, and they give me hope when they speak out about injustice. Two white boys from the south who get it.

I like this podcast   (5/5)

I find it very soothing. They have great voices for radio, good camaraderie, and an endless variety of topics! The show comes out faster than i can keep up but my goal is to hear every one. Thanks Josh and Chuck, and special thanks for continuing to work through the pandemic. You guys are great

Great for travel & night time listening!   (5/5)

Not gonna lie, I mostly listen to these guys to relax and go to sleep because I love their calming storytelling methods. Who doesn’t want to learn about if dogs can tell time, or how peanut butter works as you drift off to some wild dreams. A few of my favorite episodes to pass the time on long car rides are about Dr Seuss, Dyatlov Pass Incident, and the Great Finger in Wendy’s Chili. Thanks for the extra knowledge on some classic stuff!

Like it   (5/5)

Welp, there smarter than me

Feel like they’re my best friends but they have no idea who I am   (5/5)

I’ve listened to Josh and Chuck every night before bed for the past 2 years. Learning new information as well as listening to their conversational chemistry keeps me sane as “night time” thoughts creep in. I’m a huge fan and recommend this podcast to all of my friends. I sincerely hope they keep it up. Thank you Chuck and Josh for spreading knowledge. - Rachel

Amazing Podcast   (5/5)

This podcast is definitely the best podcast I’ve ever listened to and possibly the best podcast. Josh’s humor is subtlety brilliant while both hosts definitely do their research and present a whole range of material in a relaxed but interesting way. I would recommend to anyone with an interest in learning!

Good Stuff   (5/5)

Best dang pod cast around

Why   (5/5)

Just because they support black lives matter doesn’t mean that you could just unsubscribe. Everyone has there own views and if you can’t see that then you are clearly blind.

Political... To bad.   (1/5)

I just don't know if I can trust the content due to constant political jibber jabber. Maybe... this is reflected in their content. Celebs...

Dudes   (5/5)

I am Stranded in Montreal for reasons I won’t get into and you guys are my bro dudes!!! I don’t have a lot of friends here (I’m from nyc) and you both give me the community I used to have in nyc Please keep on trucking!’ Best

Learning More!!!!!   (5/5)

I personaly learn more on this podcast then I do in school!!!

Kudos   (5/5)

Thanks Josh for speaking up on the injustices taking place. BLM doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter! It means black lives matter too and it’s stupid people who are taking offense.

Keep Going Strong   (5/5)

It makes me happy to listen to these Two’s banter. The flow of the conversation seems really natural. Major props to the whole team who works on this. It’s a welcome relief.

It’s ok   (2/5)

Chuck seems to be the biggest sissy, crybaby in the history of man.

Amazing podcast   (5/5)

This podcast helps me get though my day, and check out my podcast, A Child’s Perspective Of Current Events On Spotify

Great listen   (5/5)

Fantastic info across an array of topics.

SAIC   (5/5)

I work in consulting and work with SAIC routinely. Had no idea a multi billion dollar corporation was founded through research on ESP. Pure insanity

Great, but...   (5/5)

I love SYSK. I’ve listened for years and went to your live, but please, enough with the politics. Everywhere we go we have this in our face, please let this beautiful podcast be a sanctuary. No one doubts your virtue

Tiananmen Square M is bullshirt   (1/5)

Fake America media

Good podcast   (5/5)

I’m a new listener of Stuff You Should Know. I’m really liking it..always great to learn new things. As a long time sufferer of persistent Lyme though (referring to your 2019 episode The Skinny on Lyme Disease), there are a few things that are a bit inaccurate. Many people do not recall a bulls-eye rash..many didn’t have one. You can contract Lyme without having a rash. I didn’t have one. Most long term sufferers of Lyme prefer the term persistent or chronic as opposed to post Lyme syndrome (post presupposes you are already cured from Lyme, and the lingering symptoms are attributed to something else..not the case). Plum Island is also not a conspiracy theory. It’s pretty much understood to be true. You did a great job overall with this one though, and I was happy that you covered this topic with sensitivity and respect. Thank you!

The OGs   (5/5)

Not much to say that hasn’t been said many times, but these guys are the best. I’ve listened since iPods weighed ~5 lbs. My one request would be to *please* *PLEASE* fix the intro/outro music situation for the ad breaks. It’s so loud and consistently grating that I’ve stopped listening to SYSK if I’m in a situation where it’s not easy to skip forward as quickly as humanly possible.

Great   (5/5)

I’ve been listening for almost a year. I started listening at bed time to wind down but now I listen whenever I have free time. I really enjoy the topics and I also love the fact that you are open minded and compassionate human beings and have spoken up about BLM despite the obnoxious reviews that followed.

Awesome   (5/5)

I love listening to this podcasts at night as a way to wind down. I enjoy being able to learn more about these things too, so it works out. I am glad they have made so many, although I have watched close to all of them..

Great series about dedication   (5/5)

I pray we’ll have more people like Leon Panetta and Chuck Rosenberg soon. I love the dog story.

Sad   (1/5)

Guys. Really??? Would like it if you researched real data on such a serious topic before regurgitating what the media is only partially reporting. It’s been a great ride but I gotta get off here.

Very Cool   (5/5)

I Listen To Every New Episode

5 stars, but...   (5/5)

I give it an honest 5 stars. I love the banter, and feel they lay out information a a clear and interesting way. But I think Chuck can be kind of a pill sometimes. He likes to disagree with Josh about really inconsequential things, Josh is just too nice to call him on it.

Great Listening...and you can learn at same time   (5/5)

With my gym closed, I began walking. Not wanting to listen to same music over and over, I searched for a show on Podcast. I found SYSK and it’s great. Josh and Chuck are knowledgeable on all the topics they present and find myself laughing as they have wonderful “give and take”. When I get back from walk, I’m always sharing information with my wife on the one or two shows I listened to. At my gym I once won award for “master of useless information”. I’m not saying the topics are useless, just the opposite. It’s because I would talk a lot. When it re-opens, I will have a treasure trove of new facts to share. Thanks Guys!

Love these guys.   (5/5)

Great podcast. Conversational, informative, great for all ages & interests.

Friendly reminder that not sharing YOUR personal political/religious beliefs doesn’t make Josh and Chuck close minded 😊 I’m so happy to continue to support a kind and politically aware duo platform. these guys have made quarantine bearable, and I’ve been listening to them for 2 years now! If you’re looking for fun, intelligent, dorky content, you came to the right place! They’re sensitive and educated when it comes to discussing history/ historical atrocities. They’re also funny enough to make science and philosophy accessible. Amazing content and cool uncle vibes.

Human Rights   (1/5)

We all agree that humans regardless of color deserve human rights and that what happened to George Lloyd was wrong. But why is it that u liberals ONLY care about the human rights of felons when they die at the hands of a white cop? Do cops not have human rights when they are killed by a black man or white man? And since a police officer is 18x more likely to be killed by a black man than an unarmed black man is to be killed by a cop why are you not protesting that? 80% of interracial crime is black on white despite black males only making up 6.5% of the population. Do they not have human rights? The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Incredible Work   (4/5)

It’s true that they can sometimes be a bit dismissive of religion unfortunately, but overall I’m really impressed with the work they put into each podcast, the chemistry between the hosts, and the creativity in topics! There isn’t much out there like it. The movie ‘rabbit-trails’ are a bit over my head, but that’s only because I haven’t seen most of the titles they mention, and that doesn’t really bother me (though I’ll occasionally skip through it). I appreciate the respect they often show for both sides of issues. We disagree on some things, but that’s one of the privileges of being thinking adults. Great work guys!

We had a good ride.   (4/5)

You must be careful what you support. I e been listening since 2011 and it’s been great but if you’re gonna use your show to tote BLM BS I gotta jump ship. All lives matter and until we stop singling out which lives matter this will be the way it is. By saying you support BLM does that mean you’re anti white, and anti cop? How many subscribers will you gain by your views, versus how many will you lose? Nobody cares what your political views are, just tell us stuff we should know

Tiananmen square episode   (1/5)

More than 10,000 people killed. These 2 jerkoff liberal hosts conveniently skip over the question as to whether armed citizens could've changed the course of history. This podcast used to be good, but their leftist politics bleed over frequently to the detriment of this podcast.

Very cool   (5/5)

These guys present interesting subjects in an entertaining way. Looking forward to digging into the archives

usually a good listen but Tiananmen Square didn't happen   (1/5)

Read the WikiLeaks cables for this event. Stop proliferating the myth of this supposed massacre. Do your research!

Hanging out with friends   (5/5)

I found out about you guys on a buzzfeed article. I just want to say I’m two episodes in and I love listening to you guys. Talking about random cool stuff to know ! I must say you fellas have sweet voices. Makes me feel like I’m hanging out with some friends and talking about cool topics. Keep it up ! Thank you 😎

Pull your head out of your butt   (1/5)

Talk about complete lack of self awareness. I used to like listening to these guys but recently they insist on inserting their ignorant political views into everything. In their show on Tiananmen Square they explain how brave Chinese were willing to die to stand up to their totalitarian COMMUNIST REGIME THAT HAS KILLED MILLIONS AND MILLIONS. Then in the intro to the show they equate it with the racist misguided riots of black lives matter. Josh is either dumb, ignorant, or being intentionally hyperbolic to create disunity.

Props for reporting real history on Chinese Communist Party   (5/5)

It’s rare to find anything that could be considered negative about the CCP these days, let alone one of its many gruesome atrocities. Props to SYSK for not bowing to the corporate media pressure to paint the Chinese government as flawless!

Geography quibble but also thank you   (5/5)

Hi guys! You’re great! Re. the heroin episode, Afghanistan is not considered the Middle East—rather it’s part of Central Asia (or sometimes South Asia). Pakistan, also part of the Golden Crescent, is also part of South Asia. Only Iran would be considered in the Middle East. Also, thank you so much for pointing out how drug consumption is not a victimless crime, and in doing it in such a compassionate way. American drug money funds violence in the same parts of the world that people flee, crossing our borders only to be thrown in cages for the transgression of escaping violence that we cause.

Interesting   (4/5)

A good show to listen to. The topics are interesting, and even though they go on a few “tangents” they are quicker to return to the topic than some other shows I’ve heard. They both definitely lean to the left and don’t hide their opinions about things. However, I don’t think there’s any problem with listening to people who have different opinions than mine. If you don’t like the ads, push your fast forward button 1-2 times and you’ll be back to the show in no time. Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because their voices are two different levels of loud. I have to turn it way up to hear Josh, but then I feel like Chuck is yelling at me. It would be nice if the audio was better with that.

Petrichor...?   (5/5)

I absolutely love these podcasts. Chuck and Josh are great, they research the material and present it in a way that is entertaining and educational. Another one of my favorites is the Rubik’s cube episode. Please don’t stop what you guys are doing. Thanx a googleplex

The Best   (5/5)

I adore Josh and Chuck. Their rapport is wonderful. Makes this show second to none. Entirely enjoyable and informative. Getting me through this pandemic mentally as I work, parent, teach, hope, wait, and pray, frankly, for our collective brighter future.

Hummingbird laughcast   (5/5)

Oh my goodness too funny

Overall - GREAT show!   (5/5)

I’ve been listening for years. I’m a huge true crime buff and used to binge listen true crime podcasts exclusively. I’m so glad I gave this podcast a chance all those years ago! This is the one podcast that I have consistently listened to without getting bored of the topics or style or set up. It is AWESOME. However - the negative reviews are really odd to me. You can almost break it up into three negative parties: 1) People who don’t like to read or learn new things and think it’s boring. The type of person who sees “How Stuff Works” is playing in the hotel lobby and asks the front desk staff to change it to KUWTK etc. 2) Conservatives who do not want to hear someone with a political preference other than their own. Totally fair! This podcast definitely leans a bit more liberal/blue, but it’s not at all a main theme of every episode or distracting. 3) People who probably like to learn but HATE banter/joking/asides and don’t appreciate a little break from the learning to hear about Chuck’s new garden or Josh’s passionate rants until he realizes he hasn’t let Chuck talk for a solid chunk of time. If any of those sound like you, you might not like the podcast. But I think you should give it a chance! I find this podcast helps with my anxiety and depression, and even makes me laugh out loud even when I’m feeling down. It helps me power through things I dislike such as dishes, chores in general, and long solo road trips or my commute. I’m in sales so I love learning tidbits about a variety of subjects that allow me to be more well rounded and able to better participate in conversations/be more interesting. Overall, if you can’t tell how passionate I am about this show by all my run on sentences, I LOVE this show. I so encourage you to give it a chance!! Also, If you hates ads, maybe don’t listen to a podcast. Or learn to use the fast forward button. The ads are timed well so that pushing “forward 30” quickly gets you to the next jingle and the show. Listen to some SYSK and learn a bit while having a laugh or two!

The best!   (5/5)

I love these guys. They are just so nice and consistent in a world that is crazy and upside down right now. BUT does Jerry even exist???

I mean, it’s classic   (5/5)

These mfers invented podcasts

These dudes are what they are.   (5/5)

Josh and Charles are the real deal. They are are two dudes who treat each other respectfully on air, even if they disagree. They are dorky, (which if you think that is a put down, then this shows not for you) and informative. Every time they tackle a topic, they are obviously not experts on the topic. So, they are trying their best to convey a summary of pertinent details and facts about a topic to give someone who doesn’t know anything about that topic an overview. It’s perfect. Sure, I like to here about topics from experts who spend their life’s work studying one thing so obsessively they can’t talk about anything else. But it is refreshing and calming to listen to these guys tell you stuff that they themselves just recently learned. Love it guys.

Recent listen   (5/5)

Interesting listen on May

Close-Minded   (1/5)

Between the two hosts, they took one intro course to philosophy and now pretend to lecure on religious beliefs, which they term superstitions, vs the virtues of enlightenment. They see this as the binary close-minded choices of moral absolutism vs open-minded moral relativism. Ironically, they present enlightenment as a moral absolutism; either you always accept the enlightened path, or you're close-minded. That's close-minded.

We need one on how the mycelial network works!   (5/5)

Please! 🥺

🙄   (2/5)

These two are liberal left leaning atheists and it shows. There’s no issue with being one and a podcaster, but, the fact that they masquerade like they’re not at all bias is laughable. Really. I don’t understand why they don’t see or hear it. Any topic involving religion or politics. Really listen to the tones of voice. Josh is easiest to spot, he gets exited rather quick, but it’s chucks strategically placed chuckles (pun not intended?) that give HIM away. I haven’t scrolled passed any other reviews but I’m willing to wager nobody is accusing them of the opposite

best podcast ever   (5/5)

this is so entertaining to listen to. i like to fall asleep to this podcast, and also learn so many things during the day. would 10/10 recommend to anyone

Great guys, great show   (5/5)

I’ve been listening for about three years now. I find it consistently entertaining. The topics are varied, something for everyone. Chuck and Josh are like your two favorite neighbors talking to you over the back fence. In these days of so much negativity your gentle friendliness is welcome and refreshing. One thing Josh, I have to agree with the one listener who says your voice doesn’t match your looks! You sound like you have curly blond hair and blue eyes! (I don’t know why). But we will just have to get over that I guess. Love you both, keep up the great work!

Liberal bias?   (4/5)

To whomever thinks they detect a liberal bias from the hosts—maybe they aren’t liberal; maybe they are intelligent. Good show.

They’re the BEST!   (5/5)

I have been listening to Josh and Chuck for a few years, and am always pleasantly surprised to see what topics come up every week. Over the years, there have been a few topics that I didn’t think I’d care for but after listening, found myself interested in learning. It may be my love of knowledge, but I think it has more to do with the love of listening to these 2 chat. Some people complain about the sidebars, but I really enjoy getting a snippet into the lives of our humble hosts. I think it gives this podcast great character, while allowing the listener a break from sometimes heavy information. I have truly enjoyed listening, and will continue to learn! Great work guys!

You’ve lost me with all the ads   (1/5)

Extremely disappointed by the amount of ad time you’ve added over the past couple months. Back-to-back long reads just ain’t it for me. Used to have no problem sitting through one of you two do a read. Between the duration and more and more promotional material read by other voices, this doesn’t feel like sysk anymore. I know ads are your main revenue and the industry as a whole is using its newfound leverage over radio to get consumers more and more used to ads but you’ve well exceeded Webster’s law by doing back-to-back ads throughout the podcast. I find myself not just skipping but just turning it off all together Love you guys and your show but I cannot stand how obtrusive and out of touch the addition of so much more ad time has been.

Stuff I should know.... and then some...   (5/5)

I love how episodes site older episodes. Well thought out content. It must be tough to put so many episodes out with so much information. I don’t know how they put up with each other- you can tell they have a true love for what they’re creating. They go off on 80’s and 90’s tangents on things I completely forgot about, or think about every day. It makes me feel like I’m not alone. Love it.

Good sense of humor   (5/5)

Laughed out loud today—“Write me another sexist story.” Smart and insightful, yet very laidback. Wait, am I talking about you or me?😂. I appreciate your progressiveness, guys.

A little boring   (1/5)

I think the topics are interesting but the format there are told is dull. I tried to listen to a few different episodes but kept falling out of listening.

Boring   (1/5)

Tried listening to 2 different episodes. Couldn’t get through either of them. You could use this podcast as punishment, or to fall asleep.

JennMiss   (5/5)

I love SYSK. Josh and Chuck are funny and kind while also being informative. Love that I can listen to it with my kids. We’re all humming the different variations of the SYSK song all the time. Makes quarantine more fun!

This podcast is a most   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck made an original podcast where they talk about pretty much everything and dig in into details and scientific details. It’s not hard science but it’s interesting and well explained. I love it!

Chuck is too political   (3/5)

I’ve been listening for 8 years and in the last year or so Chuck has let his angry-leftist views seep into every episode. It’s at the point where I can’t listen anymore and am moving on. Things started going off the rails around 2018; maybe because of I Heart Radio. The episodes from the first 9 years are great and I recommend listening to those. Josh Clark is a pro and is the podcast’s saving grace.

Not the same old   (5/5)

I’ve listened to these guys for years and they consistently deliver interesting and unusual topics. Sometimes my feed is full of all the same stuff (10 podcasts delivering the exact same story), and they’re different. My only beef is that they should have more sourcing and references in the notes. Have never found these guys to be “political” at all. I think you have to go out of your way to look for that.

Subpoenas. Certified mail.   (5/5)

Josh. I believe Certified mail has to be signed for. I didn’t look into it, it’s just the way I remember. I could be wrong, have been sooo many other times. 🐒🙊🙉🙈 Love you guys. Your chemistry is fantastic. Keep up your hard work. Thank you to all those that help these two have the fun they have! 🖖🏼 Ohhhh, review... Great shows consistently. Informative and thought provoking. Jssix2 PS “Did they try them on a hot dog bun with mayonnaise?” from the peanut butter show, my favorite quip ever. Chuckled(pun intended) for days after and like LSD flashbacks, I am positive I will start giggling, laughing, and chuckling out of nowhere for years to come. Hopefully in my dying moments.

Thanks for all the episodes????   (4/5)

All 275 of them downloaded to my phone. I think I listened to most of them - not at once, or today - you know in the course of the last 4 years. So, I deleted all of them. It took me like 20 minutes. The machine you have that programs the feed dump must have gotten some type of COVID. In the case it’s a flesh person, I’d like to say STOP THE DAY DRINKING AND FOCUS ON YOUR JOB. I KNOW THIS QUARANTINE HAS GOT ALL OF US IN A STATE OF EXISTENTIAL COLLAPSE BUT TOU HAD INE JOB - PLEASE PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER . I, for the most part, make sure I’m done with all my work before altering my consciousness and listening to SYSK or the much better Stuff they don’t want you to know, or the uber superior much better Savor - the witty food and travel show with the two neatest and funniest ladies ever. You two aren’t even neat...or ladies for that matter. So anyway, I’m looking forward to the listener mail part of a future show to hear all about this important review. So, here’s the actual review. It freaks me out that your voices do not match your faces, especially Josh with his big black rocks of coal on a snowman kind of eyes. Might as well have a carrot for a nose too. Also his chin reminds me of two of those Hawaiian buns stuck together - you know the small ones that you use for sliders or mini pulled pork sammiches. And Chuck seems like he enjoys pulled pork sammiches. I though of Chuck the other day whilst sipping a gin and tonic, feeling the sad dread of life I felt back when I worked as a bartender and not going anywhere in life.....but that must be the COVID talking. Sorry, Chuck you’re beautiful. Josh, you.....are.....ummm.. I guess you’re pretty too in a dead eyes snowman kind of way? Anyway, I’m gonna take shower now and maybe listen to an episode - preferably a new one. XOXO

Love j&c   (5/5)

Can’t imagine getting through undergrad, my early career, grad school.. the last decade I’ve had josh and chuck in my ears giving me weird knowledge and making me laugh all the while. Keep it up guys, and war eagle ;)

Awesome   (5/5)

This show is the absolute best. Josh and chuck get along great and keep even boring topics interesting! I look forward to the next episode each week so it helps keep my spirits up.

Smart and funny   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck are the smart and funny friends you (and I) wish we had. Oh, and their podcast is great, give it a listen and learn something!

Gets way off topic   (1/5)

Found it incredibly obnoxious that they spend more time taking about what they were going to talk about rather than the actual topic. They would spend more time talking about the sidebar one of them happens to comment on throwing off the entire topic and my interest. Terrible.

Bad info   (1/5)

The episode on how dogs perceive time was SO bad. I know something about animal cognition and the intro about circadian rhythms and memory was so muddled and full of misinformation that I had to turn it off. This was the second episode I had listened to. The first one, on Spartacus, was interesting and informative, or was it?

Unsubscribed after a decade   (2/5)

Never thought I’d see the day, but I unsubscribed due to Chuck’s inability to keep his leftist opinions to himself. It’s a huge turn off. Having a different opinion is fine, but non-political podcasts are an escape from the arguing and bickering we’re forced into nearly everywhere else. Guess I’ll look elsewhere. Thanks for all the great shows over the years.

To all the people that say they talk too much   (4/5)

That’s the point of the podcast! They give you the interesting facts and the fun laughs

Neanderthals and the Koch brothers?   (1/5)

I’ve listened to Josh and Chuck off and on for several years and I find their podcast entertaining and mostly informative depending on the topic. What’s consistently frustrating is their (especially Chuck’s) injection of politics into practically every topic. I recently listened to the episode on Neanderthals where the hosts managed to work in political shots at the Koch brothers. I enjoy political podcasts from the left and right, but leave politics out of non-political topics please. Update: I gave this podcast another try after past frustration at the politicizing of non-political topics and Chuck actually complained in the episode that everything in the United States has become political before espousing his political views. Dear Chuck: YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Review downgraded. The constant politics overshadows any information or entertainment value for me.

Love this pod   (5/5)

Great show that digs deep on a regular basis. Love the AA type intro to how peanut butter works. As a side note 1tbsp of peanut butter cures hiccups instantly. Creamy of course. Crunchy has too much texture

Nearly 12 years later...   (5/5)

I’ve been listening to this podcast for nearly 12 years now! There will always be an episode here and there that I don’t love, but overall this podcast is wonderful. Josh and Chuck do a great job at presenting facts in a fun and entertaining way and they rarely let personal beliefs and biases get in the way (but they are humans who have opinions which they are welcome to share). Sometimes the ads get annoying, but I think it’s worth it for the amazing free content that we get in exchange! I wish I could see them do a live podcast someday, but for now I will enjoy my before-bed listening. Thanks guys!

One of the best!   (5/5)

I have been listening to this podcast for something like 5 years and I’d don’t see myself getting bored of it anytime soon!

Stop reviewing based on 1 episode!   (5/5)

I don’t feel like you should give a bad review or rating because you did not like or agree with 1 episode! This does not give an accurate view for potential listeners. This is a very enjoyable and informative podcast. I enjoy 90% of the episodes. Some aren’t the best in my opinion, either because the hosts don’t seem to be on their top game or because the topic really doesn’t interest me at all, but overall it is one of my favorite podcasts.

Josh is the best   (2/5)

But iheartmedia is a liberal-run entity with a major player CEO. Lots of bias happening in these shows, not only this particular pod but also other iheart pods. Lots of political agenda subtly and not so subtly slipped in. And the familiar liberal bullying jabs, pushy-ness and sarcasm slipped in by chuck are downright insulting. Much of iheart sounds very propaganda-like, anymore. And I really used to like this one. Josh is the saving grace regardless of his political lean you don’t really have to hear much about it because he’s a pro.

Not annoying   (5/5)

I was looking at why this podcast didn’t have 5 stars overall and I saw people giving one star because of the ads. How are these guys supposed to pay their bills without sponsors? I did miss the Spartacus episode which seemed to prompt people to rate the entire podcast one star. At any rate, I like this podcast. The hosts aren’t annoying, they’re relatively funny and the topics are interesting.

Love this!!   (5/5)

This podcast is great

The best   (5/5)

I love everything about this show!

Fascinating all the stuff I should but didn’t know!   (5/5)

Fascinating all the stuff I should but didn’t know!

Refreshing   (5/5)

I stumbled across this podcast and I am glad I did. Insightful and great diversion from the daily news.

Love it   (5/5)

I’m 13 years old and can still show me appreciate all the information they are really informative and do good research that teaches me things and still be like a friend 🤗🐑 Rock on stuffyoushouldknow 🤟🏼

Good...   (3/5)

Used to be one of my favorite podcasts, but Josh and Chuck’s sidebars are getting a little tedious. It maybe that they often refer to movies and I’m not a huge fan of cinema so I find it boring and don’t get the references. Save it for Movie Crush.

Best podcast ever   (5/5)

I know the ads are a little long but if you fast forward about a minuete it skips them

Amazing   (5/5)

Josh and chuck are amazing and hilarious

Mornings.   (5/5)

These podcasts are the highlight of my morning walks and the variety of subjects are spot on. TJ

For the love of god cut back on the ads   (3/5)

it’s getting WAY out of hand

Getting greedy with the ads   (1/5)

Advertising used to be tolerable. Now much longer breaks.

Don’t listen to the hatters   (5/5)

I love this show don’t listen to the haters!

Boo the nay-sayers!!   (5/5)

I have recently seen a short, but irregular stream of somewhat negative reviews of this show. What I find funny though is that most of them are somehow trying to debate the guys! Really?!?! Many of the very current events they discuss are about situations in flux, and the the information you have is no better, nor more accurate than theirs. Not only that, during this quarantine crap, I am going a bit nuts myself, so jeez, give the guys a break, and remember why you listen to them in the first time. They are genuinely on our side, and I respect that. Keep it up gentlemen!!

Wow so disappointing   (1/5)

Just listened to the podcast on gold from March 2020. Embarrassing! Generally enjoy the pod but this was awful. Josh mispronouncing ‘assay’ and Chuck messing up ‘placer’. Josh stated gold was $40 an ounce ‘not long ago’. Last time was 1971 so 49 years? Chuck stayed an ingot of gold weighs 27 pounds then immediately says 50 bars weigh 300. All these are easily fact-checked online but it appears the hosts don’t bother. I was embarrassed for them.

What a Great Show!!!   (5/5)

I just really enjoy every episode. Chuck and Josh do such a great job with every subject.

Learned so much in good company   (5/5)

I picked up this podcast a year ago, and believe I have listen to every episode. I love it still. They do go off topic often, but this is usually where the humor is at. Josh and Chuck make mundane topics funny and interesting. Chuck will sometimes will be highly opinionated, especially regarding politics or social issues. Luckily Josh is there with his quick wit to bring the podcast back to its roots. This podcast is my best source of humor and knowledge during quarantine.

Do dogs perceive time episode   (1/5)

The only one I listened to but it was a complete waste of time because they brought limited research to the table that concluded WE DONT’T KNOW. Too much chit chat. I know dogs perceive time bc my dog harasses me within 10 mins of dinner time but this explanation and lack of researched sucked.

Like listening to a loaf of white bread have a convo with itself   (1/5)

I get another grey hair every time my girlfriend puts this podcast on

Spartacus show   (1/5)

I’m half way through today’s show. Listen to it if you can but you’ve spent 75% of the time talking about swimming and Star Wars. This was horrible and not representing this normal great show. I hope you guys get back on track but today was a nightmare. Other than today I love the show but wow. Guys. Seriously.

Great podcast! Sweet music to my ears...   (5/5)

Love this podcast! Stuff You Should Know (SYSK) hosted by Josh, chuck And Producer Jeri now after 10 years are like a well oiled podcast making Machine. There guys talk about a wide range of topics from how grass works to how the moon landing worked. With over a 1000 episodes to choose from and will keep your ears happy for a very long time wether you are a casual podcast listener, or you binge listen to episodes. With jeri by their side this show is the gold standard of sound quality of podcasts. Great backgrounds and bumper music from songs written by fans to the old SYSK classics. If you like learning, history, or just hearing about Stuff from two likable and decent guys I would highly recommend this podcast it is easily my favorite podcast and I look forward to it every Tuesday and Thursday.

Entertaining and informative   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck do a great job of balancing informative discussion with entertaining dialogue. It’s important to bare in mind that they are not the experts on the subject matter that they chose in their typically less than 1 hour programs, nor do they pretend to be. But they do the research and dig into each topic as best they can as laypersons with the best intentions of delivering their discoveries to the listener in a very fun and informal way. Much like listening to friends talking amongst themselves over a cup-a-joe. It’s not all sports, news or politics. Instead, each show focuses on a refreshingly different topic, a deep dive into anything from how to make beer to the existential risks of humanity. And although I can often read into their political leanings, they don’t often overtly pontificate as this is not their aim. In short, it’s the best podcast in my library. Thanks Josh and Chuck for making my morning drive to work so pleasurable.

Way too much rambling.   (2/5)

Just too much self indulgent conversation.

Elizabeth Blackwell.   (1/5)

As a previous registered nurse to medical school and Family Medicine residency I have spent my life in medicine. You do not take this seriously and treat us,nurses and female physicians with the respect we all deserve for the love of medicine the struggle continues as you are not aware. Many have spent their lives for centuries and continue today Tell all your listeners about your favorite funny movies Will avoid your podcast.

So Lazy!   (1/5)

Sure. Whatever. We read an article and stuff.

Insightful and smart   (5/5)

Reliably good. You learn so much listening to Chuck and Josh. Well researched and science based.

Too much chatting   (1/5)

This podcast could be promising, but sadly the hosts talk too much. Should be more focused.

Regarding student loans....   (5/5)

Interesting review of how student loans work. It would be more important to do a show on why college cost so much today? During the discussion, you guys touched on how cheap it was to go to school “in the old days”, but you didn’t explore that issue. A review of this issue will review some disturbing realities about America. Alternatively, most other countries that I have traveled to provide education as a right for all. Just a thought

Great show   (5/5)

Love you guys, you crack me up! The only thing that is not great, REALLY loud commercial breaks, they have “easy listening” relaxing voices, then when they go to break it’s always heavy metal or some crazy sounds, I would pay a monthly fee to skip that

Education while sleeping   (5/5)

For those of us who listen to podcasts to help us drift off to sleep, this one is great because it covers a variety of topics that are being put into our brains as we drift of to sleep. The next morning, we wake up smarter than we were the day before!

Yay to Josh and Chuck!!!   (5/5)

My husband and I are podcast people and love finding cool and interesting ones. My husband, Henry turned me onto your A-mazing podcast! Your COVID-19 episode was my initial one and it blew me away. I am a nurse and there was so much information that you opened my eyes to that I never knew. So, thank you. But, my main reason for this review is that my husband has been incarcerated for almost 3 years and he found your podcast in there and turned me onto it from in there!! You have no idea what you do for my husband. He looks forward to new episodes like it’s commissary day, lol. We are a punk rock couple 😁 and he even talks about how much you guys know about punk rock music which is huge to him. I wanted to thank you for providing my husband with that small , but important time of day that he can block out where he is and listen to you guys!! My husband just had a book written about him by a NY living Danish author. It’s now released in Denmark, but now working on being published in America. It’s is called Skygge Bokser by Sara Maria Glanowski. I would like to send you one of his podcasted interviews for you to listen to. I’m trying to find out how to privately send you information! His story is quite interesting and amazing. I would love for you to learn about his case and life. Again, thank you for being the one part of his life that he looks forward to!!!

Going Postal   (5/5)

Y’all are scaring me. Soon it’s gonna be called going customer service. Or going minimum wage. Going to ask my manager if I deserve to eat or sit down today. I almost feel like I have worked in that post office.

Great   (5/5)

Some people are saying that they take too long to get to the point but these people have been doing this for a long time so it’s just natural for them to talk.

Listener for years   (5/5)

I work on education and recommend your podcast a to many different of the 150 staff I work with. You guys always inform, brighten the day, and are like tuning into two close friends talking. Thank you for all you do.

Love the show   (5/5)

I probably listen more out of comfort/routine and familiarity of their voices than for the subjects.

My Favorite Podcast   (5/5)

I have listened to these guys for several years and they never get old. I love the informative podcasts that are also extremely entertaining. Would definitely recommend.

Best podcast around town   (5/5)

Been listening for like 15 years to these boys and they are the best all this time later.

Book of revelations?   (2/5)

There is a book in the Bible called Revelation.

i love this podcast   (5/5)

nuff said!!!

Umm   (2/5)

Kinda weird and very monotone. Good subjects but not enough emotion. Too monotone

;_;   (5/5)

Life-Changing!   (5/5)

SYSK has taught me so much while also giving me company on days when I’m down. It’s the best podcast I’ve listened to!

?   (2/5)

Do more research then talk about corona virus, don’t mis lead

Da Bomb   (5/5)

My favorite podcast. These guys are the best and they’re so wholesome

Amateurish.   (3/5)

Listened to the pinball episode. Slightly informative but no expertise or even good personal experience. Sorry, guys. Noble effort.

Wow just wow   (5/5)

This podcast is so amazing, I never knew interesting life can be

Too long, too many digressions.   (2/5)

Very interesting topics and info, presented in four times the length needed.

Based on Your Fusion Episode   (5/5)

Wonderful podcast. You guys make me laugh and learn. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed almost every podcast you guys have done. You recently did a podcast on Fusion, which I found extremely exciting, as I have been following fusion for fifteen years. Have you ever heard of a Thorium reactor? If not, research. Try to understand why this hasn’t been funded. Learn about the costs required. Learn about the minimal waste. Learn that about 600 bucks of fuel could power a huge city for months. Thorium is possibly more important than fusion at this moment, and nobody knows about it. Check it out, guys ;-)

Interesting topics presented well   (5/5)

Stuff You Should Know is one of my favorite podcasts. I really enjoy learning new things about history, and Josh and Chuck present it in a relatable way that’s simple to understand even if you’re not a history person. I enjoy Short Stuff in particular because they are perfect for when I don’t have a lot of time to listen, or have just a short car ride I want to listen during. Please keep the episodes coming!

Amazing   (5/5)

Just found this podcast, will be watching it a lot, ignore all of the bad reviews they all can go f#ck themselves

Such genuine good guys!   (5/5)

Seriously the best! Great show! Right now, because travel is limited, listening to thier trips has me mentally exploring our great national parks! ❤️

Ultimate distraction playlist   (5/5)

These guys not only dove face first into COVID-19, but they did it only because they knew their fans needed their opinion. I have been listening to Josh and Chuck for a little over a year now and have never realized how much I counted on them until a global epidemic struck. I work on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina as a golf course bartender and beverage cart server. I spend my slow days, which can last as long as 10-12 hours, listening and learning with these guys. They’ve taught me everything from the art of barcodes to my unanswered questions about the Malaysian flight that disappeared years ago. All of their opinions are based on fact, and they are pretty funny, once you get a taste of their sense of humor. Hope you give them a chance.

Good stuff.   (5/5)

Spot the difference 🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍖🍗🍗thx Job and chuck🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗

Slow down please!   (3/5)

I too find your episodes informative and entertaining. But I sure wish you could slow down your talking. Your rapid speed is making me more anxious during this anxious time. Too maybe it’s an age thing on my part. But do keep up your discussions going, and I will continue to listen. My thanks! Katie K.

Thank you chuck and josh   (5/5)

Awesome I listen to you every night to help me sleep

Way too many commercials.   (1/5)

Can't take it anymore. Too bad. I'm out!

Been listening from beginning BUT   (1/5)

very disappointed in universal basic income. Reporting okay but these guys have been basically good about not putting in opinions but they did on this one. Now when this country needs it the most they say not in favor....what!???

Yes   (5/5)

Love the distraction playlist...perfect thank you

I like hugs   (5/5)

Love love love. If blankets were made of facts and cozy side notes, this podcast would be the coziest cuddle session ever.

The best podcast. Period.   (5/5)

Stuff You Should Know has been my favorite podcast for at least eleven years. The topics are always interesting--if not intrinsically, then because Josh and Chuck find the most interesting angle to frame the topic. I never skip and episode, and I often relisten, and I delight in Josh and Chuck's attitude and perspective.

Worth a Listen....or Two....maybe fifteen....   (5/5)

If you’re looking for a new podcast, definitely give this a shot! The chosen topics for each episode are always fascinating and laid out in a way that is easily digestible yet still intriguing. Josh and Chuck do a great job. Everything is researched exhaustively and they add some good humor throughout the show. Very enjoyable to listen to and I always learn something new. Give it a go!

Best Chemistry   (5/5)

Learn important and not so important facts from the guys with some of the best chemistry out there. Chuck and Josh are perfect for this format with their off the cuff humor that they can even weave into very macabre subjects and I can relate to the 70s 80s and 90s references as a dude in my 40s. I keep searching for this perfect blend in other pods but haven’t found it. Highlight of my work week as I work alone listening to podcasts and audio books all day.

Thank u so much   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck have helped me so much with my anxiety and even just hard days. Listening to one of the podcasts makes my day so much better. I am so grateful for these great podcasts P.S I also learn things I wouldn’t even think of knowing, the name "Stuff You Should Know" really fits these podcasts. Lol

Incredible   (5/5)

Thank you for this podcast it is absolutely my favorite.

Too much chit chat   (1/5)

I wish the content was more streamlined... less folksy irrelevant side bars.

Oh my gods! Sanity found in a difficult d isolated epoch   (5/5)

These are super interesting and fun. I wish I could be with them, asking follow-up questions as they go.

Distraction Episodes are a winner!   (5/5)

Thanks guys (and Jeri)!

If you were in a desert island and had to choose one podcast....   (5/5)

I think I’ve learned more stuff about more stuff from lovable hosts Josh and Chuck than I did in high school and college. Always a great topic and always well explained.

Distraction Epsiodes   (5/5)

Thank you for helping take our minds off the world for a bit. These distractions episodes are a great break from work, TV, reading and everything else going on around us. Stay safe, we need y’all!

Good   (5/5)

Love the show   (4/5)

This is a must listen. Keep it up guys.

this ain't it chief   (2/5)

the hosts barely have any chemistry, they love going off on tangents, take constant breaks whether for ads or not, and overall either try too hard or not hard enough. i've tried listening to episodes like going postal, 911 is not a joke, and the two-parter on the disappeared malaysian boeing, and somehow they've made all three of those very interesting topics a chore to listen to. what a waste of good podcast material.

Distraction playlists   (5/5)

Distraction Playlists??? Brilliant❤️ Simply brilliant.

Stuffing my podcast feed not cool   (3/5)

I appreciate that you’re trying to entertain all of us in our time of uncertainty and fear, but dropping 10 hours of episodes into the podcast feed in a single day was not cool.

Love Josh & Chuck!   (5/5)

One of my favorite staples, and releasing a torrent of episodes for all of us holding it down inside. Much love !

Thank you - Covid19 edition   (5/5)

SO cool of them to re-release a bunch of old eps, PLUS take drastic efforts to continue their pod from their homes. This pod has always calmed me down in times of high anxiety, and so I take great comfort in it now. ❤️

Distraction playlist   (5/5)

This is exactly what I need right now. Thank you so much!

COVID19 Distraction Playlist is awesome!   (5/5)

I’ve not written a review in all the years that I’ve listened to you, in fact sometimes ive upmost unsubscribed. The flippant way you guys sometimes talk about most things conservative considering how “tolerant” you are is a little upsetting, but this was well done!!!

Best podcast available   (5/5)

Ive been a listener for years. The banter between josh and chuck is charming, relatable and sometimes also informative. The content is laid out in such an accessible way. This podcast is both entertaining and illuminating. You just have to listen. (I recommend listening to a few to get familiar with the flow) I cant put my finger on any one thing, i just know that everything comes together to make the best podcast ive listened too. (Bonus: ive also found a few other podcasts to listen to from this one 👍)

Increasingly too political.   (3/5)

I like many of the topics, but I’m truly tired of the politicization of many of the episodes. Some may enjoy it, I don’t. Deleting from my podcast feed after several years.

The best   (5/5)

I love these guys. Especially the way they talk to each other. They are a great role model of how we should all treat one another even when we don’t agree. These two can disagree but do it respectfully and still value the others point of view. Thank you for being comical and light hearted and being something I can listen to while cleaning when my kids are home.

The Best   (5/5)

Do yourself a favor and listen. Learning something new is one of the best things we can do as humans. Right here is a great place to start! Keep it up guys, you’re the best for real!!!

One Of My Very Favorites!!!   (5/5)

Great podcast. Very informative and funny as hell! They are epic together.

Fav podcast   (5/5)

Love these guys! I love their soothing voices, laid back style and fascinating subject matter. Mostly I love their humor. Listening to them is like eating comfort food.

Favorite podcast   (5/5)

I love listening to Josh and Chuck. They’re super interesting and it’s fun to learn all sorts of random stuff.

Awesome!   (5/5)

This is an amazing, well researched podcast. Please do an episode on Coronavirus

Why...just...why...   (1/5)

These guys are going the way of late night comedy. Can’t decide if they are entertainers or political commentators. I used to come here for one, but left because of the other.

Favorite Pod   (5/5)

My all- time favorite podcast and always my “go-to” when I need something enjoyable to listen to.

Lone this podcast   (5/5)

A great lighthearted listen!   (5/5)

I have been listening to SYSK since the very begging when the episodes were 45 sec. long, loved them then, and love them now. Informative, light, humorous and respectful, these fellas cover it all.

Love the History   (5/5)

Enjoy listening as I am always introduced to new things or learn more about things I have been curious about. Especially like the history episodes.

Yee   (5/5)

I live in Bentonville Arkansas USA the birth place of Walmart and I think that you should do a show on it. And this is the best show ever keep doing what you’re doing!

Too Many ADs   (3/5)

Fun interesting topics presented in an informative way but they have way to many AD breaks. Most episodes you have to wade through about 2 Minutes of Ads before you even get to the podcast.

Steve   (5/5)

They make me smarter and nicer. Keep it up.

Love this show   (5/5)

I never leave reviews for podcasts, even when I listen to them constantly, but Josh and Chuck have EARNED this review, gosh darn it. I love the topics and sometimes end up very interested in something I didn’t even know existed. The chat is great for me, it’s like a conversation with my friends and the occasional humor is right up my alley, so even if they hit a topic I’m not particularly interested in I still listen to the episode. I also find Josh and Chuck super down-to-earth and not wrapped up in themselves, just makes me love them more. I hope they keep this going for another decade plus.

My new go-to!   (5/5)

I LOVE this podcast, I listen everyday and am learning so much!! Keep up the good work and interesting topics :)

Coyote   (4/5)

Generally like the show, mostly because of Josh’s voice. But the coyote episode gives misinformation on the history of American wildlife. Some oversimplified untenable claims. I know the show isn’t a PHD dissertation, but some of that stuff is irresponsible.

Idiocracy in a podcast   (1/5)

Stupid conversations - on and on. I kept waiting for the content

interesting topics but sadly...   (1/5)

these guys can make everything and anything boring...actually beyond boring in a realm all their own...phew...

Completely inaccurate   (1/5)

I’ve had so many people suggest this podcast to me and chose to listen to the ‘transdermal implants’ episode as my intro to the podcast. It was horrendous. Almost entirely inaccurate information. If you’re going to have a podcast called ‘stuff you should know’ you’d think the hosts would know something about their topic. Seriously I think they just read some tumblr posts from from 2008 and decided that was sufficient research?! The ‘information’ the hosts gave was also presented in a pretty biased manner. For the sake of not perpetrating negative stereotypes, and not spreading inaccurate information- these guys need to do better. I won’t be listening to any more episodes of this podcast.

My favorite podcast!!   (5/5)

My favorite source of interesting material to share around the campfire.

Best podcast ever   (5/5)

Josh and Chuck are informative and funny. Usually I can’t stand podcast hosts that get sidetracked, but they do it in such a hilarious way. Some reviews claim they try to push their political views, which just isn’t the case. When it’s relevant, they advocate for equality, kindness to all, honesty, and other good moral codes of conduct. That shouldn’t be political.

My top 3   (5/5)

I'm a long time listener, this has always my go-to podcast. When I’m working, cleaning, getting ready, walking, waiting... you name it. A perfect combo of information and humor with a laid back atmosphere. Thank you Josh and Chuck, and everyone at Stuff You Should Know!

Great G Rated Podcast!!!!   (5/5)

Absolutely love listening to these guys. They are educational, great at communicating the topic, and good talkers. I personally like listening to them first thing at work. Good, clean start to the day. By lunch I get into the dark ones. Wish their episodes were longer!!! I have listened to every single episode and I am eager to get more uploaded.

One mistake   (4/5)

Pterodactyl isn’t a species. It’s Pterodactylus, although I hear this mistake a lot. Also, the tiny pterosaur’s name is Sordes*. *Sore-diez

Great pod   (5/5)

I look forward to each new episode. Some are more engaging than others, but they are all good. Very informative and fun. Keep up the great work

Slap it on the bottom   (5/5)

I love josh and chuck! One of the best podcasts if not THE best. Always informative and probably one of the sources of info I trust most. Their banter is probably the best part of the show. Sometimes Josh says things in sarcasm and I go around thinking they are true sometimes either because I have no sense of humor or because I’m an idiot and I hate it. That’s ok though.

HUM4N_D0G_T3L3P4THy   (5/5)

Awesome   (5/5)

I love listening to these guys! Informative and funny

One of the best podcasts ever   (5/5)

I cannot even count how many walks, trips, flights, workouts I have had with Josh and Chuck! They are such gracious, smart, and funny hosts and have an amazing chemistry to boot. Great podcast with an outstanding span of information and topics! 5/5 Mattia

Asthma?   (3/5)

In the exclamation episode it sounds like one or both of you is having to struggle to drawn in breath. Is it overly sensitive microphones? I had to stop playing it because it made me miss Cokey Roberts a whole lot.

Stating the obvious.   (4/5)

Morphic fields was interesting.I will say that it is a salient example of your epigenetic methyl tags that you discussed in a previous episode. Onto my review, I do enjoy almost every episode but, some of your political biases are apparent. I find my self arguing with you though it’s just me talking out loud to no one. But we are all guilty of politically selective science. Keep up the good work your show goes with me every where. And are you guys going to cover any thing about the corona virus when more is discovered?.

I love this podcast but..   (2/5)

I love this podcast so much because I am always curious and a constant learner. The guys are very entertaining and they do a great job and synthesizing large topics into digestible fun bites. BUT it seems that they constantly push their political and world views. Mostly in a derogatory way that grinds against my world view. I don’t have a problem hearing from people with other views points. What I dislike is people making fun of my world views or religion.

Best Podcast   (5/5)

Been listening for like 4-5 months and am out of episodes. Fantastic podcast. Listen to it every night.

One of the best!   (5/5)

This podcast is one of my favorites and I love how they take a humble approach to learning things that are sometimes random but also sometimes important lessons on things that are overlooked. Thank you guys!

Great Show   (5/5)

I remember my favorite teacher showing us How Stuff Works website. I loved it. This Show always discusses interesting topics, is honest, and intriguing while being supported by solid research. Get a Martini and kick back to find out about Druids, Gin, Animals, or anything else that your frisky for tonight. Thanks guys, keep it up!

It’s like the jeopardy of podcasts covering random facts   (5/5)

Good clean humored information on various topics covering people, places, and things. It’s a well produced show that covers a wide spectrum of topics in an intellectual way with a tiny dose of humor from time to time.

Birthmarks   (5/5)

Just listening to your podcast on birthmarks and there is one celebrity that has a mark on their face. Richard Thomas who played John Boy Walton on the tv show the Waltons.

Facts + Humor   (5/5)

Perfect balance between facts /research and humorous side bars.

Interesting but hard to listen to   (3/5)

The topics are interesting and I like the varying lengths of episodes, but the way you talk over each other gets confusing/distracting and all the lip smacking makes it hard to listen to. Please be more mindful of the lip smacking!

Unprofessional commercials   (1/5)

Commercials are loud and annoying. Normalize please. This is just not acceptable.

Perfect Commute Podcast   (5/5)

Perfect podcast to learn random facts and interesting history in a engaging, fun format - ideal for road trips and daily commutes.

My favorite Podcast!   (5/5)

I have been listening to Stuff You Should Know for over 5 years now and it has remained my favorite podcast!! Listening to Josh and Chuck helped get me through the 2 hour LA commute while I was in grad school. Their show is always entertaining and informative. A MUST LISTEN!

My wake up to coffee   (5/5)

You two are SO refreshing! Thank you for doing your homework to entertain us with a myriad of subjects that broadens my base of conversational openers. My morning brew is much more enjoyable having begun my day with your intelligent humor.

Not worth your time   (1/5)

Two guys get sidetracked for an hour while trying to relate every topic to race/politics

My favorite podcast   (5/5)

Variety, thoughtfulness, funny and insightful - what more can you ask for? This has become my go to podcast and I find that even if I’m not particularly interested in the topic I still listen because they find a way to make some part of it interesting for me. Keep up the awesome work!

Facial Recognition   (5/5)

Like all shows great job

Constantly Entertained   (5/5)

This show is packed with amazing information that always gets me thinking. It has me seeing the world through a different lens and my curiosity is heightened. Josh and Chuck keep it light and fun while packing your brain with cool facts about our world. Every episode is worth a listen!

Great show   (5/5)

Still the best podcast

Just the best, that’s all   (5/5)

Great information every day. Josh and Chuck’s banter is hilarious.

This Podcast Made Me A Better Man!   (5/5)

I recently lost a business that I spent over a decade building. A business that I nurtured, poured my life into, and was able to watch in awe as it became a juggernaut of custom chocolate truffle goodness! And I lost it because of a cranky old heart - literally. My old ticker tried to take me out in my early thirties by deciding that the ol’ Widow Maker artery probably shouldn’t be 99% blocked! Who knew? Three life-saving surgeries later, and my heart was back to good - or so I thought. A decade later, I was a successful business owner, a National Karate Champion, and I could make you a 5 tier, spinning, half his, half hers, multi-flavored wedding cake if you wanted one!

But at 45 years old, my old heart said ‘enough is enough’ and forced me to make some pretty hard, and for lack of a better pun, heartbreaking decisions. One of those was closing my business and saying goodbye to my amazing employees, and shutting the doors on an amazing group of fans and supporters. Now, flash forward six months, and I was back in the workforce I’d left behind so long ago. And when I say left behind, I mean I was literally sitting in the exact same job, the exact same position that I’d walked away from before setting out to make a name for myself as a business owner. I was back to working for someone else. I’d gone backwards to the exact square one I left.

That drive to the office for the first time in nearly 15 years was a long one. The drive home even longer. And then something great happened! I found “Stuff you should know”! I had never listened to “SYSK”, and I soon found myself totally addicted. The drives too and from the office were suddenly far brighter, far happier, and far less troubling! I found myself walking into the building in a far better mood than I thought I’d be in. I spent my days far happier than I thought I could spend them, and even after a long 7 to 8 (13 hour day) or two, sometimes three, I found the drives home far less tiring! “SYSK” made me a better man. Josh Clark and Charles W. "Chuck" Bryant filled my mornings and evenings with stories, laughter, sometimes tears, but always a friendly welcoming atmosphere. And I’ve learned things! I know how salt works now after being a salt-a-holic for years! I know what a ‘Hell house’ is, though I kind of wish I didn’t. And I learned how to make up my own cockney! But most importantly, I learned not to dread going to work, or feel like a failure returning home. So thank you “SYSK”! Thank you Josh Clark and Charles W. "Chuck" Bryant, and thank you Jeri! I am truly a better man for having found you guys.

Best podcast ever   (5/5)

You guys are the best. Thanks for everything.

10/10 would recommend   (5/5)

Very entertaining. I’ve learned so much. Give it a listen!

Good stuff guys   (5/5)

Great podcast, very interesting and funny. 👍🏼

I now love my commute!   (5/5)

Thanks Josh and Chuck for making a useless hour in my day into a highly amusing learning experience!

Love these guys!   (5/5)

Always interesting topics presented objectives. I have been listening for years and always look forward to new episodes !

My Go-To Podcast   (5/5)

Such a good podcast. Very informative and wide-ranging in topics. Some topics that I think would be boring to listen to two people talk about are typically interesting because the hosts are people like us and make these dull topics digestible and entertaining.

Always good   (5/5)

Always informative.

My Favorite Podcast   (5/5)

No question. Hands down! The best podcast out there.

Wasted time on chit-chat   (3/5)

The topics are interesting, and I’ve learned some cool things, but I had to stop listening to this due to how much stupid chit-chat and banter the hosts have. Maybe this is a style of podcast that some people enjoy, but I find it to be a huge waste of time... If 10 of your 15 minute short are just joking around with 5 minutes of actual content I will not be able to get through it.

In my top 3 favorite podcasts!   (5/5)

Absolutely love SYSK! Well-researched, funny, relatable, and a broad range of topics. Can’t recommend enough!

Amazing Animals   (1/5)

Could not finish....... too inhuman. Amazing cruelty

Interesting topic   (5/5)

Love the show guys! Would love for you guys to look into the cold case murder of a girl near me in 1973 in Rices Landing , Pennsylvania.

Cringe worthy   (3/5)

I want to like it. I listened. And listened. The amount of stoppid that assaulted my ears whenever the hosts went off book became too much. Nice guys. They can read their scripts of others’ research. They have no actual personal knowledge of anything they talk about. Three stars for perfect mediocrity.

Well researched   (5/5)

I like this podcast.

New Obsession   (5/5)

I recently started listening to podcasts and I had lots of recommendations from different people, but my sister actually introduced me to SYSK. I can’t stop listening!!! I’ve listened to a few different shows and added a bunch to my queue, but I’m stuck on this podcast. The topics they choose are so diverse, and I love their approach to the show. Chuck and Josh are awesome. I appreciate their sense of humor, open mindedness, and humility. Since I started listening, about a month ago, I recommended this podcast to everyone I work with and most of my family. Keep up the great work SYSK!

Yawn   (1/5)

Two dudes reading stuff off the internet that they know nothing about.

Bias   (1/5)

It’s a shame this podcast can’t inform without inserting their political bias. Listening to the solar panel episode, these men took several opportunities to slight two Republican presidents unnecessarily while completely ignoring the Obama administration’s massive $2.2 billion energy initiative failures. Facts please, not opinions.

Binge worthy.   (5/5)

Chuck and Josh are laugh out loud hilarious while offering interesting facts and tidbits on a wide range of topics. They also have a tv show that you can watch on the science channel or the SciGo app which is free(if you don’t mind adds). There is only one season of the tv show which, in my opinion, is a crying shame. Love the side tracked stories they tend to go on and the all powerful jeri is great. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome   (5/5)

Engaging hosts who genuinely love to learn and share knowledge.

Ze best   (5/5)

Hands down the best podcast out there. They present the facts in a lighthearted, sometimes humorous tone while still getting the point across.

Awesome   (5/5)

luv this

Used to be great   (2/5)

I loved this podcast and listened to hundreds of episodes. They occasionally would make jabs at or insult republicans and it wasn’t a big deal. Plenty of big media outlets do that so you get a think skin. Lately it just feels like Josh and especially chuck have just really started making more and more comments that it gets annoying. Several times I’ve found myself wishing they would just shut up and get back to the topic or annoyed at a snide comment that was of no value to the show. A few times they’ve even made comments about things that weren’t even correct or taken so far out of context that it’s no wonder they were mad. They wed mad at something that was made up. If they go back to just doing a good show and stop making comments I’ll continue to listen. Otherwise they lost another listener. The funny part is, they’re always trying to sound like they don’t mean to offend people, then turn around and do this...

Great podcast   (5/5)

The chemistry between josh and chuck is awesome!! Keep up the good work!

You should listen to this pod   (5/5)

History, Science, General Knowledge, and so much more. This pod dives into a vast variety of subjects and they’re banter and music and movie references makes it so enjoyable.

The boss of podcasts   (5/5)

It’s just amazing! Like there geniuses best podcast on how stuff works it’s incredible 🤯 , I’d dream to go to a live show!

Stuff you can take or leave   (3/5)

Some interesting topics, occasionally amusing. One of them constantly sounds like he can’t breathe and is suffocating on his own tongue or something. Kind of like a lisp but not exactly. It’s a little distracting. The content is variable but the political comments are tiresome. Must everything be political now? If you don’t like phrases like “virtue signaling,” then stop virtue signaling.

Best Podcast in the business.   (5/5)

I've been listening to Josh and Chuck for years, they are the best in the business. Perfect blend of well researched information and humor. This is a must listen for anyone into podcasts, highly recommend!

Always quality   (5/5)

Chuck and Josh always bring great information with great charisma and joy

Do your research before show!   (1/5)

Man.... I was excited to start this podcast. However, about five minutes in, the guys kept giggling like little kids, said the names wrong of the people they were giving us information about and had WRONG information. I listened to a couple more before I left a review, and all three episodes were about the same.

seriously the best podcast ever!!   (5/5)

i ran into you guys podcast a couple weeks ago and i have been addicted ever since!! i love learning new information and expanding my knowledge and this podcast is perfect! the sense of humor y’all have is amazing also, i always find myself laughing a little too hard at all the silly, yet informative, jokes you guys tell. just wanted to let you guys know how awesome y’all are and how much i appreciate these podcasts!! i listen to at least two episodes every single day and i've gotten my fiancé addicted as well!!! :) so thanks for making life more enjoyable.

Keep it up!   (5/5)

I’m loving the podcast, keep them coming.

Way to many commercials   (2/5)

I was trying to get into this podcast but they interrupt the show throughout to have commercials. I highly recommend putting them at the beginning or end as other podcast do.

I’d like to see the movie version   (5/5)

As always, enjoyed the podcast and gave it the well deserved five stars. But, I’m actually writing this to alert Hollywood’s screenwriters who look at podcast reviews for ideas...Have you heard these amazing animal stories?! A nazi fighting bear and St. Bernard named bear, could be feature films back to back, or where two heroes cross paths....Look no further, your 2020 project starts here. Can’t wait to see it. Fingers crossed.

Great way to learn more!!!   (5/5)

It’s hard for me to learn things because I get distracted easily and they make it super easy and fun to follow along to what there teaching you. The more I listen the more I realize how easy they are to listen to and follow along with. I find myself experiencing all kinds of good emotions toward this podcast. If they were to serious with teaching they would of lost my interest a long time ago. They break down information in a way that I’m able to understand. This is how teachers should be. Making learning fun and not to serious. Thanks guys for being awesome and keep the podcasts coming! -Kalin Toney from Pennsylvania

This Podcast Has Changed My Life   (5/5)

Not one to be a podcast listener, I stumbled upon this a few years back before taking a road trip. Never would I have thought this would be the only podcast I listen to exclusively for years to come. Josh and Chuck pair so well together and the conversation truly makes you feel like you’re in the room with them. Even on the tough days when nothing goes right, I find myself hopping in the car to finish an episode and can’t help but laugh, smile and enjoy a listen. They are true professionals and can even make the most mundane topic relatable and easy to understand. I can’t recommend this one enough. Keep doing what you do guys, because you have a listener for life.

All time best   (5/5)

This is my first ever podcast when I listened from my black ipod!! Also my all time favorite. Love this guys.

Going Postal   (3/5)

(Carrier) just listened to episode and I tell you some stuff factual hooray on your part. Yet,,,, we are a self sustaining entity of the government, kinda like an unloved step child. We have actually lent the government money. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “well I pay your salary”. Just pisses us off. Really!!

Absolutely Fascinating!!!!   (5/5)

If you’re an information junkie, a science geek, or just someone who loves know cool stuff, this is the show for you. There is only one podcast out there as completely absorbing and addictive as SYSK, and that’s This American Life. I’ve been listening practically continuously to SYSK ever since a friend turned me on to it a few days ago. Today I found out that there are 600 back episodes. I’m ecstatic! I’m going back to the very first one and work my way through the entire history of the show. I dare you not to get hooked!

Funny, interesting, not at all bro-y   (5/5)

This is a great podcast. The information is accessible but not dumbed-down. It's presented in a funny way, but when Josh and Chuck laugh they sound like nice people instead of loudmouth bros jockeying for attention at a bar. I usually can't stand male voices in podcasts, but these two are alright!
