The podcasts of her meditations and discussions are a great supplement to walking the path of truth and freeing the heart. This is the only thing on my phone that does not keep me stuck in my head, but rather helps me understand and practice mindfulness with her masterful guidance as a meditation teacher and psychologist.
I don’t know how long I’ve been listening, I think over six years. Tara’s approach to storytelling, educating and delving in to the truth of humanity and life is unparalleled; seamlessly blending a deep understanding of how our minds work into invaluable meditations and lectures. I can’t recommend highly enough.
I’ve been in a challenging transition time where I sometimes feel the grip of huge anxiety. I walk with these podcasts and sometimes lie in bed with them. I find myself amazingly able to recalibrate remembering who I am and able to rest back in my body! Thank you Tara for your heart and beautiful teachings!!
I’m now a Jewish Buddhist (-: You are an amazing teacher, thank you for giving this gift to me and the world. I also read your book, and wow! Big impact. It has actually been many years now that youve helped me through a few seasons of my life. I am so grateful for your work, keep it going!
Tara. I have been listening now for about a year. I find your work so helpful. Thanks
I have been listening and watching Tara Brach now for more than 15 years. She is authentic mixing spiritual teachings with humorous stories that bring to life her wisdom to the masses. I awaken each day to one of her many meditations.
I can always count on this podcast to deliver amazing content that always makes me feel better. This is a staple in my audio rotation and I am so thankful for Tara and how she shares her wisdom. Love love love!!!
Tara gives voice to my internal struggles, names them and gives me tools to live a better quality life. Being able to name the “trance of doing” the trance of unworthiness” the false refuge of overeating, and other addictions gives me the language of recovery...I FEEL SO MUCH GRATITUDE for Tara Brach and her generosity of spirit ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is my “go to” podcast. I love Tara’s stories, jokes and meditations. I am so grateful for her ongoing support of my practice because I can always count on her podcast to teach and reinforce such wonderful concepts. Namaste.
I am thankful for these podcasts by Tara and her friends. They provide me with a regular structure of practice and a sort of inner elevation that help me to refocus on the innate connection to nature.
I’ve been listening for a couple of months and although I face on going battles with myself listening to her is slowly helping me. Her voice is soothing and helps bring a softness to me and others. Thank you for this.
What a wonderful addition to my life.
I appreciate this, but as with most guided meditation at times there is too much talking- a bit more space for quiet would be nice. I dont feel i have enough time to focus on a thought or intention sometimes.
I call her my Online therapist. I have been listening to her for a few years. She has opened my heart and given me many coping tools that have helped all of my relationships. Thank you Tara you are wonderful and I appreciate you very much. Every time I become reactive and want to “bad other” my husband, I pause, go to my gazebo and sit in my hammock by myself. I practice remember rain,!mediate and listen to one of your talks. It’s such good therapy for me and I think my husband loves me more. It makes me a a more patient and kind mother. Namaste 💖
Amazing podcast, her voice is so calming and her words are so touching. Thank you Tara for these podcasts - they have helped me immensely.
I’ve been going through a really hard time, a friend offered this podcast.. funny how she talks about “othering” then entirely puts white people down.. race has no place in spirituality. Awful, hateful, totally opposite of what she’s “preaching” 🤮
Best meditation teacher ever! She saved my life. Been a fan for years. She is so wise.
Tara’s podcast is one of the most important and appreciated in my subscriptions. Her approach is honest, grounded, and loving, with humor to soften the impact. I am more motivated to meditate regularly and find inspiration in her words that isn’t trite or loaded with dogma.
This was STOLEN from my website The Sober Experiment. It is an episode we took down at the request of the speaker. Take this down immediately. Our lawyers will TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY. Nan. The Sober Experiment.
Somehow Tara knows exactly what I am dealing with. She has been so helpful on my path towards healing.
I love Tara’s Podcast. She is eloquent, thoughtful, funny, a great story teller. She comes across as human. Her voice is calming and peaceful. When I listen to Tara’s talks or guided meditations she helps bring me home, back to a peaceful, quiet spaciousness.
I love Tara Brach’s podcasts. I discovered them only recently but have been devouring them. If the sound quality were improved, that would bump the rating to five stars. I know these are talks she gives in front of an audience, but they could very easily get a better mic that would be more appropriate for podcasts without hurting the live experience.
Tara is one of the most accessible and gentle teachers I have found. Her talks (and books) have the power to transform lives. I would happily give her podcast five stars if the sound quality was better.
Tara offers to give us a way to find peace within ourselves in a world that reflects constant fear.
This is my favorite podcast. Tara has so much insight and is so relatable.
Really enjoy listening to this podcast - keeps me in the moment, opens my awareness to so many topics old and new. Helpful, calming and nurturing.
Tara’s talks and meditations are so supportive. Reminds me that I am a human being and simply allowing my feelings and thoughts to be there has been so healing. My favorite is when she guides us to recognize that our waves(thoughts) belong, and that we are the deep ocean. We can allow our waves to come and go without identifying with them. It is natural and it is more than alright. I love Tara and am so grateful to have been guided to this podcast.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom Tara! I personally rely heavily on your podcast for guidance and insight. Also, the mediations have helped my anxiety attacks tremendously. What a gift ❤️ I hope you’ll do a retreat in Oregon someday because I’d love to go!
I have been listening to Tara Brach since about 2017 when we adopted our son and I started a new job. Life was crazy and listening to this podcast has helped put life in perspective. I can say this has changed me and continues to ground me. Tara is easy to understand, tells relevant and funny stories, and has the gift of vulnerability. Not many I have listened to capture all of these qualities. Thank you Tara for changing my life- my spouse thanks you ☺️
Tara’s podcasts have been a soothing companion to me in my ongoing journey of recovery. Thank you!
I have saved several and listen and meditate on them and it’s continually brought me comfort, peace and awareness. Tara you are a light in this world. So much gratitude for you.
You’ve helped me find comfort in very dark times. As a Retired Law Man, I’ve experiences various forms of trauma. You helped me stay afloat for more than a decade. Namaste
This is by far my favorite podcast on ITunes. Tara’s talks and meditations help me immensely in my every day life. Thank you Tara for sharing your wisdom on this platform!
Tara Brach has a radical way of getting right to the core issues and speaking to them in such a wise & loving way. She’s an invaluable teacher for our times & a much needed balm for this competitive, aggressive culture.
Tara is amazing! I’ve been following her for about 3 years. When I face problems with my emotions I turn to her for help getting through them not allowing my thoughts to bring me down. She has taught me how to use RAIN - recognize &identify what you were thinking, accept, investigate and nurture yourself. RAIN is so practical and useful and it works. She has a wealth of knowledge bringing sound ideas too assist one in having a happy successful life. I’m so grateful for her prescience in my life. Thank you Tara! You are the best! Phyllis
I listen daily and find the teachings very deep and practical. Tara is wonderful! What an amazing gift to humankind.
You are absolutely awesome!
A note to say thank you for your care, love, and guidance as you continue to nourish our community. At a loss for words in an abundance of gratitude.
Can’t recommend this enough!
Best guided meditations available anywhere.
She is my absolute favorite. Always insightful — always invaluable — constantly helpful. I recommend this podcast to all my friends as often as possible. For me, the guided meditations are too guided. I find the constant talking too much of a distraction.
I came across Tara’s teachings when I was in a really dark place, and it’s probably been the most helpful resource in my own healing and recovery. I’ve listened to every podcast since, some on repeat, and am just absolutely beyond grateful that these teachings are available for free, every week, and are so full of love, gentleness, humor, and deep insight. Thank you to Tara and her support team for being a place in the virtual world that I can connect into and feel safe again, especially on the days when my depression and anxiety have got the best of me. So. Much. Gratitude. 🙏🏼✨💚
I have been listening to Tara Brach for years and to this podcast in particular since its inception. I’m so grateful for the teachings and meditations. It’s an incredible podcast for anyone who wants to bring more mindfulness into their daily life.
Her talks and meditations comfort me in a eerie familiar way and I am thankful for them.
Tara’s book, Radical Acceptance, changed the way I relate to myself and the world. Her podcast is a soothing balm that grounds me in those teachings. I am a sexual assault survivor dealing with PTSD, depression and anxiety. The classic dharma message plus neuroscience plus pinpoint honesty and vulnerability in Tara’s talks have restored my will to live. A chronic insomniac, I listen to her every time my brain wheels churn at night. She is funny, light, deep, grounded, expansive. The effort she makes for each talk is apparent and her dedication to social justice is a life line in these dark times. Tara, thank you for all you and your team do, from the bottom of my heart.
Every time I am feeling overwhelmed and listen to this podcast, it helps me to take the pause I am so desperately needing yet sometimes cannot find my way to alone. Thankful for the work Tara does and the honesty/transparency/humor she brings to this podcast.
Thank you Tara for being such an amazing teacher and guide. I have been listening to your podcast for a couple of years now. Your talks and meditations have had a big impact on my life. I especially loved the Tonglen meditation - it was just what I needed today. I am so grateful for you.
This podcast is a light in my life. I just want to say thank you to Tara in case she reads this.
Wonderfully full of insight. Highly recommend this podcast.
Tara is the real deal! I was listening to one of her podcasts when I was rear ended on I-66 on the way home from work. My budding mindfulness let me look at my new, and now crunched, car as simply something that happens. I made friends with the nice guy I was pushed into and he even gave me a ride home! My calmness set the stage and everyone was kind and friendly—Trooper, the poor guy that hit me, the tow truck guy! Thank you Tara Brach!
Way over due review here. This is an extremely special podcast from an extremely special person. Do yourself a huge favor and give it a listen! I stumbled upon it about four years ago and consider it one of the most important tools in my life.
Inspiring dharma talks and meditations. Tara is funny, smart and I have learned a lot from this podcast. Several topics and themes to chose from.
I listen to Tara every morning on my daily commute. I am so incredibly grateful for the frequent reminders to be present, to allow what is, and to be kind to myself and love who I am under all those layers. My quality of my life is much improved because of this and I am glad to have this knowledge to raise my daughter with.
Tara! You are so amazing - I love and save every podcast that you so generously put out. I love you mix and balance of “fact” and soul filled heart wisdom. I wanted to pass this little joke my Dad told me the other day... after listening to one of your podcasts dealing with our very conditioned mind on “othering”- and working on reversing it in our lives. We are one💫❤️ Joke: There was a boy who grew up in pretty poor conditions - he had an accident at a very young age that caused him to lose one of his eyes- his family could only afford a wood eye. So this young man went through most of his young life bullied - but one day at his new High School he met a girl who had a hair lip- the started to get to know each other. They found comfort in each other’s disabilities .. after about a month of this courtship - the young man asked if she wanted to go to Prom with him. She excitedly replied “ Would I! “ He yelled back “ Hair Lip!” Sorry it’s a long joke... but it made me think how we all - even when we think we are aware of looking past bias - that dip down we need to really investigate our pain. Love you! Namaste 🙏🏻
Tara Brach’s talks and wisdom and mindfulness that infuse her every sentence have been a great inspiration and insight for me during the past several months. I’m always looking forward to the following episode and messages of awakening, transformation and support! I love the humor and the life-stories and quotes that are just so touching and heart-warming!
Listening to Tara Brach share her wisdom through her stories and experiences is such a gift and a delight. The tone of her voice and her vast experience is like nourishment for the whole being. Thank you Tara!
Tara doesn’t know me personally and I don’t know her. But for the last 8 years we have been companions, almost daily. I listen to her talks and meditations during morning walks and daily activities. A therapist recommended her book Radical Acceptance when I struggled with difficult family days. Tara’s simple message is always a fresh reminder: Things change and I can’t/don’t need to control my world. Rather than close up or bury myself in distractions, I can feel a sense of presence here and now. And then she teaches simple ways how. Even when things get tough, this is hugely comforting. I could joke that everyone around is deeply indebted to Tara too. The truth is that her simple direct and easily understandable words resonate deeply through me and by extension my family.
Tara is so awesome I listen to her every night and she has blown my my mind I used to be really grumpy and depressed but now I’m happy and go with the flow you’ve taught me so much and I love you and your talks and meditations you are so awesome Tara beach I love you
This podcast is such a gift. Tara Brach is one of the most relatable and wise Buddhist teachers in America, and to have access to her weekly teaching and meditations is a real treat.
Love the podcasts. Great variety. My question-why can’t I always find specific podcasts? I have gone back to listen to a specific podcast and it is not there??
I love her vibe. She speaks simply and practically. Nothing feels like mysticism. It is all very simple things you can do to feel better in every moment. Thank you for doing these Ms. Brach. Your efforts are making the world a better place. Namaste.
Listening to Tara’s talks gave me so much relief in a very difficult time of my life. Her talks made me feel much less alone And more comfortable while I was working through a time of unknowns in my life. I’ve recommended her to many of my friends.
Tara has an incredible ability to bring the teachings alive with stories that are personal, yet relatable and universal, while blending Buddhism with a clinical western lense. I’m grateful to Tara and her team for offering such transformative talks and guided meditations for free, to make healing accesible for many of us. It feels as social justice and activism. I’ve listened/ read pretty much all her material, which I consider key elements in my ability to discover a greater sense of wholeness and acceptance. Namaste.
Love. Lives.Here. So grateful I found this house💫
Tara, Thank you so much for these podcasts. They are so thoughtfully written and have consistently brought me a feeling of inner peace and contentment. By using Metta, I’ve additionally been able to feel compassion towards others I’ve had conflict with. As other reviews have mentioned, this is truly life changing. I feel like you are my consummate guide towards awakening.
Tara Brach is the real thing.
I don’t know what else to say about this podcast. Each session is full of something useful and directly applicable. I don’t subscribe to a lot of podcasts, but this one has a space in my phone. Thank you.
Tara’s insights are much needed these days and she helps me put things in perspective using humor and compassion. I recommend this podcast to friends CONSTANTLY. Thank you, Tara.
Thank you Tara for explaining to me how to be who I want to be. Understanding why we work the way we do really helped me understand and cultivate compassion. I listen every day. Depression and anxiety do not run my life anymore and I’m in charge, not my emotions. Plus, your calmness, jokes and stories add warmth to your podcasts. 🙏 Namaste
Tara is so generous to offer this free resource. Her teachings have honestly changed my life, and I am so grateful for her work. Perfect for anyone needing a spirituality that is accepting and compassionate. If you don’t know how to love yourself now, then have a listen and you will soon.
I have been a listener for over a decade now and have attended a few of her retreats as well. Tara has fundamentally change my inner and outer world.
I feel like I have found my person that resonates with what is needed from her both her insight and love.
Listening to Tara has changed my life. Her insights and points of view have helped me shift in many ways. I have shared her podcasts with many friends and look forward to every podcast. XO
This podcast has helped me more than I could ever properly explain in a brief review.
Love and light
Thea talks have helped my life improve so much in so many ways. Thank you Tara, wholeheartedly.
I have been listening to Tara’s podcasts and reading her books for almost 15 years, and I can say that her gentle wisdom has had a huge impact on me. I have developed from being trapped by feelings of shame and guilt to being able to love myself, and I have developed compassion for myself and others. Listening to her voice helps shift me from a state of anxiety or anger or fear, to a connection with myself and with divine spirit.I can never thank Tara enough for the gifts she shares with the world. Namaste to you all.
This podcast is incredible. Life changing.
I always feel a little more empowered and open hearted after listening to you. Your meditations take me to the most beautiful places as well! Thank you for all you do💐
In these times - do yourself a favor and listen to Tara Brach. She offers compassion, insight, guidance and empathy. Most of us need to listen to her words, they are so meaningful and beautiful. Really, you must listen to just 1 and you will hooked.
I listened to he CD set called Emotional Healing. It was great and I continue to use them. Very good at putting words to things we can’t often discuss or process on this kind of level.
Tara, I listen to your meditations on Insight Timer frequently and truly love them!! I really really want to enjoy your podcasts equally as much, but please consider investing $50 -$100 in a quality mic that will remove the sibilant ssssss sssssounds. Namas(sss)te!!!
Listened to half of a podcast and it got me out of a 1 month funk. Brilliant! Thank you so much
Thank you, Tara!
So much wisdom, insight, humor, and heart. Recommend to anyone interested in meditation:) thank you, Tara!
I suffered from post partum depression and picked up Radical Acceptance. This helped me through a very difficult time and changed my life. Now my husband and I put on the podcast before bedtime. I also use her meditations. I plan on sharing this with my children so they have meditation as a tool for hard times and great times. Thank you Tara for all you do! We plan on coming to visit Washington DC to meet you! Love and peace.
Her words are perfect!! Grounding and sets me up for a powerful day!! Highly recommended
I love listening to Tara's podcast. It grounds me, reminds me of who I really am, and helps me be more connected to those around me. I've been following her teachings for years and what she has to say is always relevant. So much love. Thank you for the work that you do.
Her talks and guided meditations are the best
Tara’s guided meditations are great! Nice balance of silence and speech. Easy gentle guidance. Very accessible for beginners. Thank you Tara!
What a precious gift to receive. I listen to every podcast and several I repeat. Filled with gratitude.
I love your meditations. The associated podcasts are also very enlightening. Thank you for sharing your work.
Tara Brach is a true blessing to this world. I’m so grateful that she chooses to share her work via the podcast. I listen to it weekly during my at home, solo dharma gatherings :) & I also play it anytime I’m stressed out. The message, & the soothing quality of Tara’s voice, & her ability to speak about occasionally difficult subjects with grace & humor is so comforting. One time I flew from London to New York & listened to a few podcasts on repeat while drifting in & out of consciousness, occasionally waking up & laughing hysterically when a joke was told (& of course my family wanted in on the joke!) . Go to her retreats, read her books, you won’t regret it.
For a non-buddhist meditation practioner, I love listening. I'm so grateful for Tara and her amazing community for publishing this podcast. Seriously, thank you, thank you. I also love the added meditations offered in this podcast.
So grateful for Tara. Her voice is so relaxing and her gentleness is such a blessing. She has seen me through some rough stuff.
I find myself thinking about this wonderful content all the time. I recommend to everyone I know, and a few I don’t! Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Tara Brach’s insight, wisdom and humor are presented in a a way that is complex enough to make me think, yet simple enough to incorporate into modern life.
Tara-thank you for showing me another path to being at home in my Self. life has taught us all many lessons, and it's thanks to teachers like you, we all grow and heal better for -knowing the One-mess-can transition into Oneness-in a instant! Thank you for doing so well in your calling:) God Bless us all:)
Tara Brach is so motherly in her podcast. I love the humanity, kindness, and compassion she shares. This podcast has been an anchor for me through hard times and a source of inspiration in good times. She often covers similar themes but they are on patterns of thought that require consistent effort to help reinvent and liberate yourself. For example, a main theme of hers is the trance of unworthiness and the need to offer compassion and love to yourself through RAIN (recognizing, accepting, investigating and nurturing). Her voices alone invokes a sense of stillness in me.
I love these talks that Tara has so kindly shared with the world for free. Thank you!
Tara's gentle, compassionate clarity really does help me to struggle less and open more, calm my mind and add perspective. It's SO good. Radical Acceptance was a beacon of hope in my life when I was struggling profoundly a few years ago. I'll always be grateful for it.
I was really enjoying listening to this podcast for the first time. It was calm, spiritual and uplifting. Imaging my surprise when in comes a "Trump" bashing segment. How unoriginal and cheap. Why insult half of the population during a segment on "finding peace". I enjoying people who just talk in general without puting down religion or politics. This was not classy. Wayne Dyer ..... he is the real deal.
I have learned so much from Tara. She is wonderful and brilliant.
M iTunes Uiu is not a great B.mnbB. B.B. We. Us to the h. Buying my and you have internet Tow I KGB Hibab uninstall
This podcast was the first podcast I ever downloaded and listened to. I’ve never met Tara Brach, however her work has radically shifted my perspective and my practice. I have peace. Peace with things I never thought I would have peace with. True Refuge, indeed.
I am constantly grateful for Tara’s podcasts. They are insightful, calming, heart-opening, and full of grace. THANK YOU, Tara.
I enjoy her talks. They are rational and spiritual, improving the mind and heart. Her voice and manner of speaking are very pleasant, which is an added plus.
Love this podcast thanks Tara!
I received Dr. Brach'a books from a friend. Her teachings have transformed my life in a beautiful way. Dr. Brach, if you see this, thank you - I am so grateful for you and the wisdom you have shared.
I first heard about Tara Brach's podcast from my psychiatrist. At that time, I had hit rock bottom and was very depressed. Would listen to this podcast almost everyday. I can credit this podcast for getting me through those tough times. Thank you.
My first steps into self-compassion, acceptance, and healing were guided by Tara via this podcast. Thank you, Tara, for making such profound wisdom digestible, funny, and accessible. You've changed so many lives and I'm forever grateful.
I wish I could attend heart filling dharma talks Alas I am far from civilization. Listening to Tara is a gift So Hunan funny and inspirational
Mindfulness instruction grounded in clinical psychology and neuroscience
After a rough day at work, which is often, even though I like my job...These podcasts are meaningful and often amusing and profound. The perfect way to unwind on a commute home...though she sometimes does eyes closed meditations which I don't recommend while driving.
Tara blends western psychological ideology and eastern Buddhist teachings to make living a present and open life accessible. She puts everything into understandable terms and guides meditations that really make sense, even for someone new to spiritual teachings. She has profoundly changed my life through her podcasts and books! Thank you Tara
Listen to the Spiritual Reparenting episode. It's one of the best talks I've ever heard on the topic (and I've been around). The great thing about Tara Brach is that she has the education and background of psychology as well as mindfulness / meditation. This satisfies my intellectual mind as well as my spiritual being. Two for the price of one!
I love this podcast. I find her voice and style to be very comforting and real. I love her guided meditations and talk. Thank you! ❤️
Thank you Tara for your podcasts. Your words give me warmth and solace. You helped and showed me the way to seeing who we truly are. Grateful
I return again and again to slow down...to breathe...to connect to my deeper truth.
I love this podcast! Tara's soothing voice and calming message helps me relax, and then she inserts a joke and I nearly wake the neighborhood with my laughter. A great mix of message and humor, along with the depth of soul that touches my heart time and again. Love it!!
I am so grateful to have found this podcast. Every episode helps me reconnect with the best part of who I am.
This podcast has changed my beliefs, my thoughts and is begging to change me. I am not even Budhist. "When the student is ready, teacher appears".
Tara's podcast helps me retrain my brain to relate more kindly with life and all of its experiences.
I listen to Tara whenever I get "stuck" and find her insights reach directly to the heart of whatever I'm struggling with. She gently and easily opens up more space in my awareness. An Invaluable resource, I recommend listening highly
Every time I get anxious and feel off balance, I listen to her. I cannot put into words how helpful her podcast is. It allows me to see into myself without being submerged into my own emotional depths. Thank you Tara Brach.
I especially love the guided meditations, she has a wonderful light touch. When I need to get centered, I can count on them to bring me the calm that I know I have within me but seems sometimes out of reach. Thank You Tara!
This is SO boring. Easy to take my grasp off of this pull in my life...
This has to do mainly with the guided meditations: I love Tara but I'm getting distracted by the jargon and small tasks (small smile at the lips! In your heart! Imagine your shoulders are water!). I've been in her digital and physical sangha on and off for about 4-5 years, and just started listening to guided meditations by other teachers. I've found that in Tara's, subtle elements of productivity and striving have seeped into her teachings and guided meditations in a way that stresses me out and doesn't allow me the full benefits of meditation. Tara is trying to blend psychology neuroscience and Buddhism in a way that's admirable, but ineffectual in terms of guided meditations. How about guiding a simple meditation on non-identification?
If you're someone who feels you have lost your way or you simply want more guidance in your life so that you can live open and lovingly listening to these podcasts can help you achieve better self freedom.
Tara is a must for anyone looking to expand spirituality and meditation. Her stories are eye opening, soothing and inspirational. I look forward to each new download. Fabulous.
I'm in a weird headspace of trying to analyze my personal spirituality and trying to be more mindful. I also want to cultivate a meditation practice. I find some Buddhist and meditation podcasts better than others, and this is at the top of my list. It's a good mix of guided meditations and wise talks and I find has something for me whichever I'm seeking at the moment. She is accessible and wise with a good sense of humor and I am captivated by her words. There is a TON of material to catch up on. Good stuff.
These podcasts are life-saving! I've not encountered anyone who more clearly and gently teaches how to navigate even the most difficult emotions. I found this podcast during a particularly difficult time in my life, and it was just the medicine I needed. I've since seen Tara in person and her wisdom and presence are really worth experiencing. When I stop listening to the podcastsfor a while, I notice how much easier it is to get caught up in my mind, in the drama of daily life, etc. The more I listen, the calmer and steadier I'm able to be. Huge gift!
I don't remember how I found Tara Brach, but it was divine timing. I started at podcast 300 and have been working my way down the list ever since. Her insight and wisdom and storytelling have helped me to look within and find inner stillness. She's a teacher I can have on throughout my day and find instant connection. I'm so grateful for Tara Brach and hope to make it to one of her retreats next year!
Tara is smart funny and very insightful. She challenges us to contemplate the way we act in the world. Worth listening to her wisdom
Highly recommend. Her insights and humor resonate with me. I listen on my work commute and Atlanta traffic is a little more bearable.
Not much of a meditation guy, but I am glad that I found Tara. Radical acceptance is changing my life for the better.
What a wonderful teacher. I have been listening for a few months and have started meditating in the mornings.
I strongly recommend checking out her podcasts, or classes if you're in the DC area
I have attended a number of sessions and listened to countless dharma teachers, but Tara Brach is my favorite. She has an accessible and reasoned approach to these ancient teachings that fuses with modern sociology/psychology. Thank you to Ms. Brach, and the Insight Meditation Center of Washington for sharing Ms. Brach's teachings to the world through this venue. Namaste.
I have been listening for about a year and it has literally changed my perceptions, attitude and focus. <3
I echo the sentiment of others. I listened to Dr. Tara Brach’s Radical Acceptance and found it so inspiring, and this is coming from someone who is really interested in all types of ways of healing as a soon-to-be psychologist. However, her work blew my mind, and I told my friend about it, who then also read through the book so fast and started another one of hers right away. We are both very thankful to have come across her books and, now, these podcasts.
Great insight and soothing tone. The talks and meditations both have become a part of my weekly routine.
No doubt Tara has kept her appointment with life and I find her podcast a tremendous source of wisdom for keeping my own appointment. She has an uncanny way of taking me straight to my heart!
I really enjoy Tara's meditation/life commentaries and exercises. It's very centering in a hectic fast-pace world, and amazingly it's free. Thank's Tara.
I have struggled long and hard with many life issues. Thank you Tara Brach for sharing your wisdom with those in need.
Tara Brach offers such simple yet profound wisdom - I would recommend her podcast to anyone and everyone.
Her messages are timeless. I am listening to her beginning podcasts from 2010 and find as relevant today as the day she recorded them. Tara's voice, humor and life observations are enlightening and life changing. I find myself thinking about her messages for days .
"Stand in your truth... Live your life..."
I have read several of Tara Brach's books, and it feels like I waited my whole life for them. Her works were like the friend and teacher I was searching for. I'm so happy and grateful for her podcast. Thank you Tara!
While it's not a panacea, these insightful, compassionate, generous talks serve as a lifeline. I am so grateful for your steady hand, humor, and love. Gracias. Merci. Shalom. Thank you.
I enjoyed the premise of the podcast, and it reminded me of First Things, another great productivity podcast which focuses on overcoming our “stinkin thinkin” to start moving forward in life.
I only recently learned about Tara and this wonderful podcast. Now I listed to it almost every night before my evening meditation. It's a great way to unwind and connect to what matters. Thanks Tara!
Tara's lectures are wonderful. She is kind, compassionate, and a great teacher. I have learned & healed a lot through her teaching and through pursuing resources that she recommends in her lectures. I am so thankful to Tara and to the Insight Meditation Society of Washington for their work.
Tara's merging of mindfulness into life in the west has been a beacon to me everyday. Her ability to express the life lesson and path to less suffering is unbelievably fantastic. I suggest a listen wholeheartedly.
I can't say enough about Tara and the talks she gives. With compassion, understanding, and humor, she is a gentle guide into through the challenges of being human. Finding her, and her teachings with IMCW, have been a life changing event for me. I am so thankful!
I hope more people listen.
I cannot tell you how calming and soothing it is to have Tara talk to me EVERYDAY. I love her. I feel I have found my church every time I listen to a podcast. I hope to meet her live some day and give her a rib cracking hug. For now, she will get my admiration and love via iTunes reviews. Please continue to be inspired Tara because it is a complete ripple effect. Your biggest fan- Carolyn
Tara is practical, funny and seriously insightful in the presentation of loving kindness, mindfulness and equinimity. Her writing is tremendous, which I only discovered after listening to this podcast. As a recent practioner of Buddhism I cannot think of another who could create such eagerness for the next message she will share - this resource is part of my virtual Sangha
Tara's teaching are smart, funny and filled with humanity. I have not come across a better teacher during my 25 years if practice. Thank you Tara!
I've been listening to Tara Brach's podcasts for four or five years now. Having struggled with anxiety and depression, her talks have completely transformed my life through their compassion, insight, and humor. Her kind, gentle voice guides you softly into realizing the peace and freedom we all so desperately crave. I resonate with her teachings more than almost any other meditation teacher I've come across. I am forever grateful to her.
Incredibly insightful, empathetic, full of love and compassion. A vehicle for enlightenment
So easy to understand & relate to. Perfect blend of wisdom and with just enough light humor to keep it real. The best part for me is the understanding I gain thru Tara's stories, they help pull it all together. I listen every morning and evening and will be forever thankful for Tara's ability to connect me to the teachings.
It's only appropriate that this is my first review online. Tara's talks speak to me as no other. Her kind voice and beautiful teachings have saved my life over and over. I am forever grateful for these podcasts, and for Tara Brach!
Fabulous. Great sense of humor
Tara Brach's Dharma talks are full of wisdom, humor, and knowledge gained from her own walk on the path to awakening. They always inspire, and are a great help to all of us trying to live a more mindful life.
As my wife says, "I love what the other woman in my husband's life has helped him find, his true nature and that is beautiful. Thank you Tara."
Tara relates the teachings in a clear, funny, easy to relate to way. A multitude of "Ah-ha!" moments.
Dr. Brach's enlightening teachings have helped my personal growth in addition to informing my work as an early career psychiatrist. You won't be disappointed.
These talks have honestly helped me change my life. I hope they continue, for it is such a blessing! Thank you Tara!!
Gratitude. That is what I feel as I listen to Tara's kind voice saying what my heart needs most to hear. That I am not alone. That I am love recognizing myself in unfolding compassion. That I am laughter not being too serious. That I am listening with my heart openning.
Such an amazing gift in our world. Deep appreciation for the truth and wisdom Tara speaks in such a humbled way. I love the comedian that shows up in her lectures.
Buddhism for sale is outrage
These podcasts are so simple and poignant. They bring perspective quickly and offer an immediate kindness. I listen to them on my commute on the crazy NYC subway and they make such an impact. Beautiful way to bring me back to me.
I give Tara Brach 5 stars. I just started listening to her at the end of last year and find her truly amazing. I am so grateful for her podcast. Very easy to listen to and understand.
Every time I listen, I'm struck by how poignant and pertinent the message is for me in that moment. I am learning to apply this work both in my personal life and in my professional life (sped teacher). I wish the whole world would listen and enjoy what she has to share! She is truly brilliant! TC
Love to hear u! I find peace and realize about... Whatever more!
This podcast is as fantastic as fantastic can be! Recommended.
Thank you, Tara.
I am a racial and social justice activist and a lawyer who has benefited from INCREDIBLY from Tara's wisdom, compassion and pure love for humanity. She never claims to be perfect and is beautifully soft spoken, humble and open in her wisdom stories. Her dharma teachings complete the circle on one theme and they are intellectual but also remarkably simple, just like the Buddhas teachings. they have given me so much strength to just BE while I do the work I do. Btw, I am a man and I don't think my gender has anything to do with being able to walk on the path she presents. Thank you Tara!!
Tara's teaching style and explanations are wonderful. Every podcast leaves me feeling like I just had a great session with a professor who is also a therapist, because she is thought provoking while also being compassionate.
I feel more peaceful and happy. Her talk helps me be at ease with myself. Thanks, Tara.
It works. Nuff said.
I found this podcast a few months ago and have recommended it to everyone I know. It is the best podcast available. We listen every night, it's like finding home for your heart. Wish it were required listening for all. Thank you
No better way to spend an hour or so These podcasts improve the quality of my life, from mowing the lawn to driving to work. Tara helps me see more to this life. What more can one ask for?
Enjoy Tara immensely. So many practical ways to live through her talks. Useful, on point and clear. Very helpful in these times!
Finally, a simple and yet profound message that resonates with the challenges in my daily life. Tara's talks provide me with insight into the way I act and feel and guidance for those things I would like to change. Tara is an amazing speaker. She translates buddhist philosophy into a way that any westerner from any faith can understand and relate to.
Thank you for you insights to remind me I'm normal after all and there is hope
Your voice is so soothing. Thank you for helping me sleep at night. I find so much comfort and wisdom in your words. You have helped my heart heal and forgive. Thank you.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this podcast and Tara. It's brought me peace and understanding to my life that is much needed. I first discovered Tara Brach when reading her book Radical Acceptance (which I also highly recommend). Thank you for offering your wisdom, humor and insight to teachings that will be with for a lifetime.
Tara has a way of relating the dharma so people can fully understand it and feel a part of it. It feels as if Tara is speaking directly to me and I am part of her sangha.
Great presentation and content. Easy to listen to and understand.
Tara has by far the best message of all. Her voice is soothing to listen and I'm so grateful for her podcasts. Please Tara, keep posting for all who can't join in person! Thanks.
I love Tara with all my heart!! Her talks are filled with heartfelt wisdom and Ego free...similar to adyashanti but a bit more psychological and down up earth if thats possible! :).
This is my favorite of all the Dharma talks!
Tara is the best speaker I've ever heard. Stays on topic, interjects humor occasionally, and always delivers a wonderful message! Keep up the excellent work!
An amazing and gifted messenger of peace. Truly a bodhisattva. The words are sublime, and her message is so much more than her words. I thank you Tara.
There is so much depth to these talks that I listen to them repeatedly and learn something new each time. I'm very grateful for how much they have enriched my life.
So comforting, really makes dharma teachings accessible.
I listen to her podcasts when I get in bed. Her gentle voice and peaceful messages help me fall asleep. I like her.
I am so grateful to have discovered Tara's podcast. I listen to her podcast everyday as well. She is a great storyteller and a patient teacher. I struggled with understanding Buddhist principles but Tara has a way of making them clear and accessible. Oh, and she's funny too!
Tara presents the Dharma in such a clear concise and often times humorous way I can't help not want to listen to her mature, loving wisdom ever day all the time! I would love to see her live one of these days in update NY. Thank you Tara and Insight Meditation center for making these free podcasts available to us. Namaste all Ps for those needing healing as we all do....listen to Tara with the music of Deva Premal & Mitten ...blissfully comforting and healing ..
Ever since I discovered Tara's podcast I have not listened to any other podcast on my I phone. Every morning no matter where I am, I listen to 1 podcast while I'm getting ready for my day and meditate with her as if I'm there present. I hope to see, and be in one of her retreats in person.
Thank for changing my life!
Tara is an awesome speaker. I've listened to every pod cast many times. Content and clarity are awesome and Tara's voice is comforting.
Tara's podcasts really resonate because they center around the human experience, something we all share. So amazing. She's a great teacher and I feel blessed to have found her.
Wonderful breaks concepts down into core elements
Thank you for changing my life. I see each moment and know good or bad it's the only moment I have. I have learned to make good moments great and bad moments better. Tara has a wonderful sense of humor and is a great story teller. I look forward to her teaching each week and enjoy listening to the podcast.
These podcast help me refocus to the moment and increase presence and forgiveness. I use them while driving, to help me go to sleep (I listen to those again!), and often during the day. Powerful and I cannot recommend them enough.
Let's face it ... Times are tough. To me, Buddhism provides the best coping mechanism for everyday life.. And Tara Brach brings the dharma to us in a relaxed, authentic, and easy-to-relate-to way... With humor and with a gentle, kind touch. I recommend this podcast wholeheartedly...
I've had such a horrible past. Foster homes, sexual and physical and mental abuse, addictions from cigarettes to cocain, and depression and anxiety. I'm now in counseling with a wonderful woman who introduced me to meditation and told me of her podcast. I listen to a few everyday and sometimes in my sleep I leave it on because her voice calms my soul. She is truely gifted and if ur like me you will benigit greatly from listening and practicing this way of life.
I was introduced to Tara Brach's book "Radical Acceptance" through a meditation workshop that I am attending. It is truly life-changing and has benefitted my meditation practice and my life in more ways than I have words to adequately express. Then, I found this podcast and am so deeply grateful to have access to more of Tara's wisdom. Her lessons are so deep, delivered with compassion, and illustrated by stories and anecdotes that really help to bring home the message. She has a beautiful, soothing voice which makes listening to her lessons and meditations very pleasant. I often listen to her meditations in my sitting practice. They are truly heart-opening. Please note that not all of the meditations have been delivered to iTunes as podcasts. However, they can still be accessed via IMCW's website and they are easily loaded into iTunes. Many thanks to Tara and IMCW for making this material available. And thank you iTunes for making it so easily accessible. Namaste.
Tara Brach was recommended to me by a friend, and she has quickly become a source of grounding serenity for me. You need only to listen to her to know the content of what she says must resonate in her own life.
Tara Brach is awsome. I tell everyone I know about her podcast.
This woman is a truly gifted communicator, able to articulate concepts that other speakers only dance around. As a long time and regular listener of Buddist podcasts, this is one of the best -- if not the best.
Tara Brach's talks are inspirational and illuminating! She is wonderful! I listen to the podcasts on my way to work in the morning and it transforms my day! Thank you so much!
Tara is my favorite dharma speaker. I first heard her as a guest speaker at IMC in CA on Zencast and immediately loved her. She speaks with such genuine intention and compassion and her voice is beautifully serene. She uses humor, stories and anecdotes that make the content so easy to understand and relate to. She always includes at least one meditation to help the audience personally integrate the teachings. She is truly an inspiration and I am so glad she is finally posting her own podcasts!!
Listen to this podcast! I can't think of anyone who wouldn't benefit from hearing the spiritual teachings that have been around for so long given by a person who packages these spiritual teachings in such an entertaining and thoughtful way. I love Tara Brach's voice, her stories, and her ability to get to the heart of whatever message she is focusing on. This podcast truly touches me and I always feel like I've learned something after listening. I suggest you donate to IMCW too if you listen. It'll make you feel great to give back to Tara and IMCW for their wonderful podcasts.
Tara Brach's book Radical Acceptance changed my life. I went from struggling daily with living in this world to finding a peace within even in "difficult" times. Her book was the beginning of that for me. Then, living in the DC area, I started going to some of IMCW's meetings. Although I continued to practice meditation when I moved to another state, missing the teachings was like losing one of my most important grounding practices. I am so pleased to find that I now have access to Tara's teachings again. I have needed this. She is more than an incredible teacher, she speaks to the heart, mind, body and soul in simple yet profound ways that get at the essence of what it means to be. It feels like coming home. Thank you so much for making this available!
Used to attend weekly, but due to relocation was unable to do so anymore. Now don't have to!! Thank you very much for making this available.
Tara is a great teacher. Her ability to mix Eastern philosophy and Western traditions are fantastic. But best of all is her ability to communicate the results in a friendly, progressive, enlightened, and entertaining way. Her talks are definitely NOT dry, dull, or mundane. You don't need a scalpel to extract the lessons or a microscope to find the meaning. They ring out loud and clear. Namaste.
Wow..I've listened to many teachers over the years and I've been searching in the podcast world for useful audio for my weekly long drive...and Tara Brach, who I discovered on iTunes, is amazing - her speaking style is spacious, clear, approachable, human...thank you...
Been reviewing Buddhist podcasts, looking for some to subscribe to. I'm only just getting to know this teacher but I think she is amazing - clear, compassionate, grounded, accessible.
With a beautiful mix of academic lecture, stories, and short guided meditations, Ms Brach's Podcasts are a real joy to listen to. All five from the IMCW page and two from the Zencast page have taken up residence in my iPod. THANK YOU! Matt, Denver, CO
