Aggregated reviews for THE ADAM BUXTON PODCAST

British comedian Adam Buxton talks with interesting people. The rambly conversations are sometimes funny, sometimes more serious with funny bits. Adam makes the jingles and records the intros and outros for most episodes while walking with his dog friend Rosie in the East Anglian countryside where he lives with his wife and three children.Adam has appeared in films such as Hot Fuzz, Stardust and Son Of Rambow as well as a variety of TV shows in the UK. Since 2007 he has hosted BUG, a live show that combines music videos and comedy that became a TV series on Sky Atlantic in 2012. From time to time he also does live shows featuring just his own material. Along with lifelong friend Joe Cornish he also is one half of award winning TV, radio and podcast duo Adam & Joe who have worked together since 1995.You can find many of the insanely catchy jingles Adam makes for the podcast as well as amazing bonus material, beautiful merchandise and a selection of his incredibly funny and brilliant YouTube videos on the free Adam Buxton app.Adam is writing this himself using the third person.

Adam Buxton is Marc Maron for... (5/5)

...the UK-English-conversant connisseur. Maron with knobs on, if you will.

Funny Guy (5/5)

That Adam BUXTON is a funny guy.

The atmosphere he creates. (5/5)

What genius- I feel I am on the walk with Rosie then in some cozy kitchen witnessing and wishing I could join in with a joyful, intelligent conversation.

I love you - BYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEE! (5/5)

0.1 of a star off because he thought that Once Upon a Time In Hollywood was boring.

A great podcast for car ride (5/5)

I love Adam Buxton’s approach to these interviews. It really feels like your sat in a pub listening to two people chat. A really nice range of guests. Love Rosie also 🐶

This podcast makes me Super Happy. (5/5)

I used to live in England for 16 years and now moved back to Los Angeles. Listening to Adam’s podcast really makes me miss The UK. I love the way Adam asks interesting questions. He has great guests on and his interacting with them is very delightful, insightful, fun and mostly hilarious. I love his jingles too! I like the beginning and end -when he’s rambling with his dog Rosie and describing things about where he is and what his dog is doing & who he interviews etc. This podcast makes me smile & Laugh of course. I listen to this mainly when I’m driving around LA and doing errands. At one point when he was actually in LA interviewing Steve Coogan, he announced that he was at certain corner on a park bench looking around. I then realized I was at that EXACT location in my car! ( the corner of Crescent Heights & Santa Monica Blvd!) What a weird freaky coincidence! That, no less freaked me out. Anyway, just wanted to sing your praises and thank you for entertaining me when I’m doing my boring errands! Can’t wait for the next podcast! Keep me coming!!! P.S. I especially love it when you have Joe and Louis T on!) 😁👍👍👍👍👍👍

Fantastic Interviews (5/5)

I started listening to the Adam Buxton Podcast because, like many, l was already a huge fan of his other work. But it turns out that Adam (and I shouldn’t have been surprised) is a thoughtful, thorough, attentive, tactful, humble and funny interviewer. One of the best. I’ve enjoyed every single one, especially the ones I wasn’t expecting to. Adam and Rosie feel like old friends! An absolute joy, I would recommend to everyone. Thanks Adam!

Ramble chats (5/5)

This is a wonderful vehicle for Adam Buxton’s particular comedy talent and I love these interviews with interesting showbiz and sometimes not showbiz types. When I’m listening on my headphones while walking down the street, I have to struggle not to dance around to the jingles - they’re so good!

Such a giggle (5/5)

I always enjoy Adam’s interviews, but the 100th episode really was such a joy. Warm, funny, well-informed, a bit rude - when they collapsed into childish giggles I quickly followed.

Original, whimsical and funny. (5/5)

This is great fun and a lot of work clearly goes into it. Great stuff

Great ramblechats from Buckles (5/5)

One of my favourite podcasts, I've been listening since #1. Buxton is a skilled interviewer, navigating the chat from serious to silly in a sensitive, balanced manner. Also love the bits before and after with good dog Rosie.

Fun, smart, funny interview podcast (5/5)

This is a great listen, always. Excellent interviews. Have discovered new authors, comics, music, etc. Have grown to adore the intro & outro with Rosie, and really enjoy the songs Adam makes - they make nice intermissions within an interview, and make me smile. Always interesting, always fun. Helps to get through a work day. The long & loud “bye!” always makes me laugh.

love love love (5/5)

just found this podcast and love it! so funny! buxton is an excellent interviewer, interesting guests, just all around brilliant.

Talking Spoon (5/5)

New fan. Loving it all. Finds the funny more than other comedians doing interviews and the jingles are an inspiration (err actually quite literally as I just enrolled on a music mixing course). Full review at Spoiler - the show gets 5 stars, a talking spoon and a ZX Spectrum load.

Always interesting (5/5)

Even when I am not familiar with the guest or initially interested in their field, the interviews are thought provoking and intertaining..

Just the best (5/5)

I really love this podcast. Adan is such a great conversationalist- he’s engaged and thoughtful with all the guests. However he also manages to be really funny (even when it’s with sadness in the mix). Also he chooses great guests and I love the jingles. Thanks for all the hard work, bud! We love it!

5 stars! (5/5)

This podcast makes me happy.

US Podcat forever! (5/5)

I gave this a try because it was a consistent recommendation on my searches. I had no idea who Adam was, but I’m a big fan now! He is more optimistic than Marc Marin, and I like his more absurd sense of humor. Keep it up, Adam! I tell everyone I know to give you a try. Keep pumping out episodes!

I like Adam & his guests... (5/5)

I’m late to this engaging and interesting podcast. I can’t recommend it highly enough, as a refreshing example of being possessed of Britishness. Buckles is funny, quirky, interesting, disarmingly honest, pleasant and clearly a positive influence on the world around him. He is intrigued by his guests and the conversations are real and distracting in the good way. I listen to the podcast while commuting it keeps me calm and happy. Thank you Adam and your guests.

Soooo great! (5/5)

The Best podcast! Love Adam!

I’m very fond of this podcast (5/5)

Dear Buckles, Remember the old days when you would read out the stats from your subscribers? It’s probably time to get back to that, and you can start by reading this. I love your show and you’re great company (and a good singer!).

Late to a wonderful party (5/5)

I’ve no idea how it happened but I’ve only very recently discovered the Adam Buxton podcast. And my gosh am I glad I did! My daily routine now listening to the huge archive of past episodes of the podcasts. His insightful, hilarious and often moving podcasts are a real highlight. Thanks Adam and on a side note, I too love the jazz apple and a good orange!

Adore Buckles, occasionally a bit chummy (5/5)

I love this podcast but the last couple of episodes (Charlie Brooker & Simon Pegg) have been a bit insular/navel-gazing to the 2000s- I don’t think a single woman got mentioned apart from their daughters either. Still an avid listener and this is less smug than 99% of the other podcasts out there and ten times as funny.

I F-in love this show!!! (5/5)

I F-in love this show!!! So hilarious. Makes boring work past quickly.

Insights and Laughs (5/5)

There are some amazing gems in here. I started because of Eno and Greenwood, and I’m a subscriber because of Johnny Marr. Buxton gets to the important stuff on each ramblechat and keeps the laughs coming. Enlightenment isn’t reached with every guest, but it’s always a joy to listen to. Great podcast.

The Best (5/5)

The best funny podcast on the web. I listen to a bunch and Adam is the best. Thanks so much for all the free content. -Doug (Portland, Oregon, USA)

Most splendid (5/5)

My favourite podcast, because it’s ace. Thanks for engaging me, Sir Adamth of Buxtonialand.

Can’t get enough (5/5)

Now that I’m caught up I’m upset I can’t listen everyday! I have gone over to Adam and joe podcast and now I’m almost through them too!

Dr Buckles was born to podcast (5/5)

Been a fan of Adam since Take Over TV and he only ever gets better. Following his transformation into a podcasting superstar has brought me a great deal of pleasure. His friendly chats never fail to bring a smile to my stupid face. Love you Adam byeeeeeeeeee!

It’s worth your time! (5/5)

I love this podcast. It explores interesting subjects without taking itself too seriously. There is some real connection in each interview and it tackles some questions we are often too afraid to explore on our own. Aisling Bea episode is my personal favourite so far. Keep up the great work!

Why (5/5)

Great recommendation from the Arseblog to tune in. I’ve never heard of Adam enjoyed listening to him for six months before I realized he was a comedian. I just thought he was a good listen. Great story teller and interviews are easy listening.

One of my favourites (5/5)

Interesting people talking about whatever they want and Adam is great. Funny and intelligent and a really good interviewer, also doesn’t keep up a frenetic shouty atmosphere that some shows do. Relaxed and fun.

Thank you (5/5)

Thank you so much Mr Buckles. Your podcast brings me so much joy. What a gift.

Ramblechat Perfection (5/5)

I got into this podcast via Dr Buckles’ many excellent appearances on RHLSTP <RHLSTP>, and it’s my new favorite show. I’ve been trying to get healthier this year by taking very long walks during the day, and this show is the perfect companion, especially the walking around ones like the two Jonny Greenwood episodes or the two Garth Jennings ones. The conversations are a perfect blend of deep and deeply silly, just wanted to say thank you and I look forward to more! (Additional: this has caused me to go back and listen to the entirety of preserved Adam & Joe radio shows from XFM up through BBC 6Music, and on any given day I have about seven or eight of Count Buckules’ jingles running through my head, my top three being “Competition Time”, “Song Wars” and, of course, “Ramblechat”. Many thanks for all the entertaining waffle!)

The only interview based podcast I enjoy (5/5)

I love podcasts but avoid interview-based ones as I almost always find them tedious. Only Buxton can make any interview entertaining, even when I have never heard of his guest beforehand.

<3 (5/5)

Everything I wanted it to be and more!

My wife (5/5)

My wife... also enjoys this podcast. The Eno episodes were particularly captivating. I googled Rosie to see her too.

Adam is my favorite new mate! (5/5)

I heard Adam interviewed on Throwing Shade and really enjoyed the episode and decided to check it out the next day. So happy that I did. The Adam Buxton Podcast is funny, silly, smart and Adam is really lovable and charming. I look forward to listening every day (as I catch up to present-day episodes). Take a you!

The sweet nectar! (5/5)

Adam Buxton is a silly, wise, and willing host who conjures up intelligent and hilarious conversations with his rad friends...who are always also silly, wise, and willing. The musical interludes are brilliant and unhinged- and frequently reference subjects and themes from the conversation unfolding. This podcast is consistently totally wonderful!

Genuine & Funny (5/5)

A genuinely nice and funny guy has interesting and real conversations with fascinating people. 5/5, 10/10, 1.0

Welcome back, Dr. Buckles! (5/5)

That was a long wait, too long. The Steve Coogan interview -- best yet. "American people are staring at me." Heh, and well they should. But they should also listen to your podcast.

Adam Buxton is great (5/5)

It's been great having Adam Buxton back in my ear holes. He's funny and a good interviewer. His jingles are the best. I have the theme tune in my head all the time and find myself singing it while doing chores around the house. He's on a break at the moment but I hope he's back soon.

Yes, please (5/5)

I started listening because of the Jonny Greenwood episode and was so impressed I had to go back and listen to every podcast since. A great interviewer and lovely podcast! I'm one happy podcat.

Top Class Entertainment (5/5)

This is quality shenanigans, highly amusing banter.

Oh my goodness!!! I LOVE THIS!! What a find! (5/5)

I stumbled across this podcast when at work, desperately trying to find something distracting to listen to. Of the many many comedy podcasts listed, I randomly chose this.. and I'm so glad! I had my headphones in and I think my coworker might have thought I was a little nuts becasue I was laughing so much. Thie humor is so engaging and I LOVE the accents. I live in the U.S. where as you know, we don't have accents. LOL Keep up the great work!

Great show great (blokes) guests (5/5)

Great show great friends love to meet this guy. Love Lois Theroux and others. Proper. Tight. #tightpod

Listen now (5/5)

Love these podcasts. Easy to listen to. And interesting guests. Love Adam's style.

Adam is awesome! (5/5)

I have been a long time fan of the Adam and Joe Show. I was only able to listen to the podcasts in the US. When that stopped being available, I was heartbroken. However, Adam is back and as witty as ever! Great show, interesting guests and Adam is a very skilled interviewer. Love, love love it!

Full of heart and humour (5/5)

I highly recommend listening to Buckles' podcast. Very witty and enjoyable. Interesting guests and with a funny and kind host.

'One of my heroes’ - Brian Eno (5/5)

So glad Adam is back! Weaving in his day-to-day life and family his obvious kindness, playfulness and good humor shines as brightly as ever. These episodes have had me laughing and thinking, and at times tearing up with happiness. A gem.

This is podcasting at its best. (5/5)

I was so excited to hear Adam had his own, new podcast. I've been missing him and Jo for years; they were the reason why I started listening to this medium in the first place and I'm pretty well addicted to it now. Well like before, Dr Buckles has another surefire winner on his hands. He's older, wiser?, funnier, while showing a raw, personal side which is so beguiling. I do hope his new podcast becomes the huge success he deserves.

Charming, silly, witty, and thoughtful (5/5)

Adam Buxton gives good podcast. I'm American, I sometimes don't know who he's interviewing, and I always enjoy the interviews. Buxton's natural style seems full engagement without being abrasive, light, but seldom facile. He has a talent for letting his guests speak their minds, drawing them out without ever seeming pushy or manipulative. I like him. I like his style. I like his podcasts and choice of guests. An aside: Fans of "The IT Crowd" will recognize Adam Buxton as Bill "The News" Crouse from series one. More important aside: Adam Buxton, like me, is a lifelong David Bowie fan. Creates a bond. Play these podcasts for a commute, doing yard work, or while working in the kitchen. Pairs well with coffee or lemon seltzer.

Excellent! (5/5)

Good to have Buckles back. Anxiously awaiting the new episode every week.

Very funny and witty, not too much in your face (5/5)

Hadn't heard of Adam buxton before but my mate introduced to me to the podcast, once I got used to the pace of the Humour it genuinely became my Favourite podcast as touches on interesting, entertainment related topics, but without going into too much detail to become tiresome. The cold safari was absolutely hilarious and my Favourite yet. Keep em coming!!!

thank the maker! (5/5)

Count Buckules is back and it makes me happy. I LOVE YOU BYYYEEEEee

He's the greatest! (5/5)

Scared that if I don't give a 5-star rating, Adam will hunt me down!

Woooo! (5/5)

I am a very happy male man to have Dr. Buckles back!

BUCKLES is BACK. Yay. Yay. Yay. Words. Mouth says things. Face hole smile. Many happy feelings in nether bits.

Back to his Brilliant Best (5/5)

Missed you Dr Buckles
