This is an eye opening channel to hear each day!!👌🏽
Yo this ain’t no better then tmz son! Boy you sorry!
The epi was so interesting!! Thank you
Dope podcast bro. But shawty is clueless about Blak history and just brought out her 1/4 Blackness a few ago. She is the perfect example of split loyalties when you are biracial. Yes racism white terrorism worked get a clue gurl. Smh. Keep up ur Greatnes$ Van.
I really enjoy this podcast. The Jason Weaver episode was one I never knew I needed to hear! Keep it up man! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m just now really listening to your podcast and it is really good. I hate that happened to you on TMZ “WOW” can’t believe it, because I was always looking to see you on TMZ, but I will listen to your shows on Podcast!! Where is Raquel I don’t see her on TMZ?
Love the podcast!!!! Try to keep it going!!!
Just wanted to say I’m proud of you and keep up the good work and 🖕🏽tmz their lost..💪🏾
Van is an amazing and important young voice In Black America, keep making us proud out in these streets brother and don’t let em distract or derail you.
Being a race baiter has finally paid off..... yet I listen.
Great interview. However, when Van mentions that black folks need to work together this advance the black community and mentioning that we should go to the NAACP awards and the Oscars etc I agree with him. I was surprised to hear that while mentioned all of these entities he didn’t state that black folks should attend hbcus. For me, you can’t mention the empowerment of black people without including education and by default, the importance of attending historically black colleges and universities. He and others needs to include these glorious institutions in these conversations. Great show but disappointed that he didn’t mention these institutions of higher learning.
Van you are the man and you make my work day go by faster. I’m such a fan.
Great conversation!!!!! So much cultural knowledge dropped. I am a Tiny Jag fan now.
Excuse me who is Tiny Jag????? I’m not mad at her stance or her, if she didn’t wanna do it then cool. But I’m not sure what the hell shes talking about. Please tell Tiny Jag to have several seats on the back row please.
Corny as hell
The interview with Ava was awesome!! I love how open and relaxed she was throughout the whole podcast.... keep doing what you do!!
Didn’t expect it.. that was one of the best convos I’ve heard this year (on any podcast) and I listen to a lot of them in all genres.. your opening take on the KD injury was podcast GOLD... great episode from top to bottom..
Love the very real takes and the thoughtful delivery. As a young black man I’m always inspired by your episodes given the consistent focus on uplifting “the culture.”
Good material and appreciate your open opinions, especially love the fact that this isn't TMZ, but your output is just the same. It gives me material to talk about with some of my friend's and I get to rifle some feathers every now and again. Thanks
It took me from 6pm to 10pm to listen to one epi bc a lot of intellectual dialogue. Some of guests I’ve never heard of before, but I was informed and enlightened after listening. I downloaded it to my mother’s phone so she could enjoy it as well!
Good topics, been listening for bout a year.what I don’t like is how Van talks over his guess and BULLY’S his opinions on to the guess, even when the guess states their position Van tells the guess that their wrong cause their opinion doesn’t line up with his.
Great podcast! Can’t wait for the talk show!
15 min in he talks about “brutal facts” and then immediately says a statement that is verifiably false. I’m not sure he knows what red pilling is.
This was a beautiful, powerful, episode. I struggle with fellowship as well. It means the world to know that I’m not alone. Thank You!
Been on this podcast since the first episode w/ Taye Diggs. I love this thang like Van my own fam! I’m a fan!
You were not wrong Van. She was wrong to even speak on that without proof period. The accusation alone is accusatory in today’s climate and can’t be walked back. Plus why if she didn’t even have a relationship with that person would she even speak on it. If she knew people she should have got them to speak not her.
The shoutout the jay z we cool in the beginning. It seemed like you and amanda seales were cutting off BSO in the middle of making his points. amanda seales has lost a supporter with the way she was talking to him. didnt seem like an adult conversation...telling someone to look them in the eyes like a man?! Thats corny
Very disappointed in him being married to a black Queen this chick juelz has so much hatred for black women great podcast but don’t allow mook back on Van
I like your interviews. Just think that when you ask a guest a question, you allow them to answer. You can't always interject with a story of your own when they start to answer. It's annoying to not hear their answers after they are asked something. Don't try to be the star of the interview when you have a guest. Let them shine. It makes the interview that much better.
Congrats on your podcast. It’s good to hear intelligent talk. I miss you on TMZ; I kind of aged out of celeb gossip b/c I don’t recognize anyone! Best wishes, ❤️Anana Hicks 👍🏽
Great podcast with good interviews funny and always entertaining it’s not Hollywood where guest just promote their projects van gets all his guest to really open up
I love the show! I like that you have an array of guests from all lifestyles and backgrounds. Good job. You have a fan in North Carolina!
Dope podcast keep up the great work
Really enjoyed this interview. Really respect Matt Barnes. Just a regular dude. Van you really did it with this one. ✌🏻 Hey Van the interview with Jason Wilson was deep. Had me tearing out here a bit. Really dope one.
The conversation was very healing. Quality episode brother. Keep it up.🙏🏽
This dude has a way of being so cool without trying. The podcast is super chill and the amount of information you learn from this pod is amazing. Great interviews but even better introductory rants!
This podcast is raw and brutally honest. I love all the guest. Keep doing your thing, Van!
Great content. Van has really stepped into a new platform to voice unspoken views that need to be addressed.
Potential for greatness. Van is very sharp and always has a nuanced viewpoint. Could do with the ‘white people clap’ intro but that neither here or there.
Van why didn't you tell Marissa to fall back. She keeps placing herself every minute.
I’ve been listening since the first episode and by far one of the best podcasts I listen too.
Out of thousands of podcast Van is always on my priority list. I'm not a Democrat I don't always agree with what he says but he doesn't shy away from important topics like a lot of podcast. I like him and I'm going to continue to listen
Persistently inarticulate, changes subject when it's proven he's out of his depth, laughs at his own jokes, and talks over his guests. Limited as a host in all ways.
Your so quick to judge Kanye! I saw the tmz interview! When Kanye was speaking to you, you already had your mind made up about him and what he was going to say before he even said it. I’m not saying he is right , or wrong for that matter. I’m also not saying you need to agree or disagree with him but he; just like any other human in this planet, he is allowed to have an opinion and we need to respect how he wants to take an entirely different approach towards promoting positive changes for our country. You need to look at the bigger picture. He’s not “jumping on board the Trump boat” because he LOVES TRUMP , he’s trying to come at the situation from a more inviting positive approach because that’s when it will have more of a chance to be heard. I mean look at what Kim did? She came at Trump from a positive concerned understanding approach and was able to free someone from jail. Do you think that would have ever happened if she came to trump protesting or in a aggressive negative way? Heck no! Think about it... I don’t blame you for having a polar opposite opinion from Kanye. We as a society have been brought up thinking that in any given situation where there are “sides” that we must pick one. But why? This is our problem, instead of actually listening and understanding what people say when they speak, we are too busy thinking about what we are going to come back with. And just like most debates the topic gets NOWHERE really fast. You ask anyone how they feel about Trump they either love the guy or Hate his guts. Why is that? Because we are taught from a young ask that we have to pick. This Separates our country into two entities and doesn’t give our Nation the opportunity to truly unite in the way “the UNITED states of America “should unite. And until then we will continue to run ourselves in the ground. We will continue to stay divided as you continue shouting “F*** Kanye” “Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly , while expecting a different result “ Let’s put more effort into listening without judgement with others speak so it allows us to understanding others perspectives. By doing this people won’t always be on defense mode and it will allow us to come together, because at the end of the day we are all so different with different experience, but we all are human and we all want positive change for our country.
He literally just equates EVERYTHING to race and it's so annoying!! He's the epitome of a social justice warrior. He talks about how much he "loves" black people but looks down on everyone else. Makes me sick listening to him....
Interview/conversation skills getting better van. U don’t have to be the smartest/ loudest guy in the room, let the people/guest talk.Your questions are not parallel, jumping back and forth.. P.s. don’t just be the Kanye guy. That one thing does not define you......
Van Lathan is so smart and so spot on. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I go to The Red Pill when I want to know what the heart of any issue is. Granted, as a 79 yo white woman, I have some trouble following his guest’s speech patterns, but no more than I have watching a British tv show...part deafness, part accent. I have started watching TMZ just to see him speak. He’s wasted on gossip, of course, but hopefully he’ll find purchase somewhere else. Great podcast. Great podcaster. Great thinker.
Great interview with Eric Benet, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him speak. To add to your list of young R&B musicians for the future based on my 17 year old niece in South Africa playlist on replay. Daniel Caesar Jacquees Queen Nathan H.E.R Khalid Ella Mai DaniLeigh Horns Smith Jhené Aiko SZA Khelani Bruno Mars
This is a top 3 podcast. Period. All genres. All platforms.
I just listened to the Tyrese episode and I loved that you could tell that he was being genuine. I also like how he used his struggle to educate others.
I love this podcast so much. Van has an excellent balance when offering his point of view while giving an objective interview. The audience will get educated on different social, political and economical issues facing our society today. When we know better, we can do better. Pop that Red Pill for the culture.
This is an amazing podcast. His interviews with celebrities are so real and he asks the right questions. Some questions I wouldn’t even think to ask and he does just that, to get the truth out in its entirety. The conversations dive deeper into the their lives and their perspectives than any other interview I’ve seen or heard. Some interviews have made me see a side to the celebs that I never saw before. All around a great podcast. I highly recommend this one.
Super left wing. He’s alittle too “woke” and needs to go back to sleep.
You are a patient man I love how you handled this man. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Van I Love You Doc. I am so proud to have an ally in the media as cool and astute as you are. I Love this PODCAST. Thank God for Kanye 🤪. Episode 14 was awesome and I have to give your guest some props as well because he engaged in honest dialogue.
Van Lathan is smart and is very talented in conducting his discussions on his podcasts!
I listen to your podcast today for the first time today, and I am very please with the contents, I am a fan 👍🏽
🤬 [email protected] Kanye West
Have loved Van and his perspectives for years!! So happy he has a podcast, so enlightening !! You have such a Bright future ahead of you Van!! This Kanye thing and your response to him was right on.
I found your podcast after the Kanye mess. I’m pleasantly surprised! Great podcast! I love how ✊🏾 this podcast is and how it’s from our perspective.
Thank you for your smart commentary! Great podcast.
Great Interviews,Great Content.
Been listening to a couple episodes Wish you would let your guests speak a little more even if they do have different opinions. Why invite guests if you don’t even let them speak?
I saw Van Lathan on TMZ (the 2 times I watched it lately) and I was impressed with his thinking. I found out about his show and so far I live it!
Views from the far left. Van has clear distain for free thinkers, either those who are independent, or on the right. Obviously he is an indoctrinated Democrat, so a better name for the podcast should be “Go back to sleep- take the blue pill”.
I am a new follower. A 56year old white woman, mother and wife. This episode was outstanding and I believe your comments about this situation were right on. A new fan and follower.
Hold Kanye accountable for weaponizing Trump-speak. Boycott KW re flashing swastika ="make America great again".. Get more intelligent convo partners to stay on track. Kudos re KW confrontation TMZ. Get DeRay Mckesson on, Jane Elliott ++ We need your voice with theirs. That's real "dragon fresh speech".
I’ve been a fan of Van for years. Didn’t know he had a podcast until I saw the drake daddy interview. Today I saw him on TMZ trying to talk some sense into Kanye and coming across as such a mature, well spoken, and colllected person. Have my sub and look forward to new episodes.
I don't always agree w/ Van, but it's not empty calories or platitudes. Bring ur thinking cap and maybe take some notes.
Kanye needed that
Feel like you’re about to see your subscriber count skyrocket. Thank you for speaking the truth Kanye needed to hear. I was extremely moved by your passion.
I love this podcast. The only improvement it needs is better sound.
Love the podcast but I can do the without the “white people clap” part.
I’ll admit, I was hesitant about adding yet another podcast to my rotation. But since I’m from south Louisiana too I figured I’d support. I’m glad I did. The podcast is a seamless transition from appearances on the Brilliant Idiots. I’ll continue to listen weekly. Keep putting on for the culture.
I look forward to listening every week. The topics are interesting and Van is very real...no sugarcoating.
I thought this was a very dope take on this podcast game. I like how Van keeps it very black and very real. The question by Van are very vertical in his approach. Meaning he make the guest think before answering.
Love the podcast. Keep coming with the real
I love the fact that Van has such great guests from the gate and clearly has had help with creating his content in such a digestible format. For being only a few episodes in, he has proven that he’s willing to say what’s on his mind and can actually articulate his thoughts. Where it is a bit disorganized and shallow I see nothing but a chance for the show to get better
Van- who are you young man? The interview with Taye was telling AF. What’s interesting is you spoke to topics so skillfully without totally putting Taye on blast, but did not shy away from calling him out on the interracial subject. I will pray for Taye, as he came across as a self hating brotha and he don’t even know it. Real talk. You, on the other hand my friend....I look forward to the growth of your evolving brand. This is just the beginning. Congratulations, man.
Man Listen - this dude non sort of amazing. Interviewing skill bar none. Quick Wit. Intelligent individual. When I hear Van talk - Im immediately attentive, specially when he’s with his Brilliant Idiots brethren's.
This podcast is a great balance of personable conversation with focused interviewing talent.
I appreciate your ability to create a new experience or content with individuals I've heard before. You're not asking the same typical questions so it creates a catalyst for great dialogue. If you keep it up you might have sparked my interest in a podcast once again.Especially due to the fact we lost 2 great one's Rip Combat hold your head Taxstone.
The audio is way too low. Fix that and it’s a smash.
I’m really digging the content here. Good job Van!
Listened to the first episode ft. Taye Diggs on a humble thinking I was listening to The Brilliant Idiots. This show is fire !! No silly questions, No running away from hard questions. Straight up 100% from both host & guest. This is what mainstream is missing.
Great interview w/ Dame ..I’m a Hov guy but over the years i realized how important Dame was & still is and inspired me to be independent
Leak them hot takes and funny arguments
Van is so dam smart and quick. This podcast was only a matter of time. His pov is so “now”!!! Cannot wait to watch this grow and flourish!!
You definitely came out the gate with the Taye Diggs interview. Keep it up
I enjoyed the interview with Taye Diggs and I’m glad you did not ask softball questions. I’m looking forward to your next episode👍🏽
I’ve heard him on a few different platforms and he’s a sharp man. Very intelligent. BUT....this is a friend of Andrew Schultz soooo...I’m apprehensive. I’ll listen and see. Congrats to him !
Did know what Van would talk about or how he’d pull it off but I was pleasantly surprised. Loud Speakers is really providing amazing content!
Love the new podcast but can’t here in my head phones please turn volume up I’m a ups driver and the route is loud thx van
Enjoyed this first episode look forward to more
Really looking forward to my dose of red pill, the first podcast caught my attention. Is always good to hear a good conversation, and topics that gets shun away from the public eye. Keep them coming.
I love Van’s approach and delivery!! Very refreshing!! I just subscribed and looking forward to next week’s episode!!!
I’m looking forward to getting Van’s perspective sans cast members. Let’s get it. Antonio Starr - First Generation Millionaire Podcast.
