Aggregated reviews for Where Should We Begin? with Esther Perel

Step into iconic couples therapist Esther Perel's office and listen as real couples anonymously bare the raw, intimate, and profound details of their story. From infidelity, to sexlessness, to loss, it's a space for people to be heard and understood. It's also a place for us to listen and feel empowered in our own relationships. So.. where should we begin?

Self-reflection (4/5)

This podcast has helped me self-reflect on my own issues. The insight I have gained here has been a series of mini-ahas! Thank you, Esther!

A beautiful thing. (5/5)

Esther is some kind of human whisperer - like her own kind of Rain Man. I am crushed out on her brain, humanity and insight. I feel as though she holds a crystal to the light and makes sure we see every facet. It is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Obsessed (5/5)

As a family therapist-in-training, Esther Perel serves, for me, as the gold standard for observing technique. Brilliant stuff.

Esther Perel (5/5)

Simply gifted at listening for what is not said.

Relationship genius (5/5)

Esther compassionately offers the words people cannot say.

Needing a place of resonance, learning and solace (5/5)

Dr. Esther Perel is honestly brilliant in every sense of the word. She is studied, skilled, deeply empathetic, self reflective, flexible, honest, humorous, full of life and altogether effective. This is coming from a person from a person with a clinical background, who normally judges and dismisses quality of work in this realm. I have felt more safe, hopeful and understood in just listening to her (after a devastating separation from my husband) than I could ever have hoped for. I now listen every day. As I take to the pavement to take care of myself physically, I tune in to my newest episodes to take care of my heart and psyche. My goodness do I want to work with her and my husband!!! A must if you have had had/want a serious, whole, lasting, loving, forgiving, mutually fulfilling and sustainable relationship. I’m forever grateful even if my marriage ends. Listen! Love and gratitude to Dr. Perel. Thank you for being on this most difficult journey with me from afar.

Yes! This Podcast is that GOOD (5/5)

If you are married, in a relationship, or plan to be in a relationship then listen in on these couples and learn from them. It’s incredible to hear the pain & struggle of these couples. This Podcast has taught me to better communicate in my relationship, during our couples counseling sessions, and become a happier and better lover. PLEASE SHARE THIS PODCAST with friends and family. It’s So GOOD!

On target (5/5)

As a fellow therapist looking to specialize with primarily couples and relational therapy this podcast is invaluable and Esther is an absolute gem, she is right on the money with the couples in these sessions!

I listen to learn about me! (5/5)

I listen to learn about myself, my life, and my relationship. There are many situations, and within them, so am I.

Can’t get enough (5/5)

Love this show. Esther’s analysis never fails to bring new insight

Amazing! (5/5)

Wow. Wow. Wow. This podcast is magnificent. Not only do u get the chance to hear the couples’ issues & find a relating point for yourself, but you also hear Esther bring each person to a point of realization. She is so caring and compassionate to each person. I could listen to this podcast all day!

👍 (5/5)

Finally another season! I’ve been checking every week!

Unprecedented (5/5)

This is a phenomenal podcast. I have never heard therapy so “real” even my own sessions. This has helped me immensely.

Thank you!!! (5/5)

This podcast is my favorite. I have been waiting months for and months for season three. Thank you for your brilliance!!!

So happy we’re back for Season 3! (5/5)

I love this podcast! Listened to Esther for the first time as a guest on Armchair Expert and migrated over here - this podcast has fast become one of my favorites. Her compassion and perspective has been incredibly helpful in shaping how I regard my own relationships, with partners, family, friends. Looking forward to S3!

SEASON 3 (5/5)

Next season (5/5)

Hello. I see a lot of comments for the next season. I found a new episode that was shared last Thursday on Spotify. Check it out there!

Beautiful and wise (5/5)

I can't recommemd this podcast enough! It's fascinating to hear how other couples struggle in such real ways. Esther is a genius at helping and offering pushes in the right direction. I cry, I laugh, and I learn so much about relationships and the struggles of being human - all wrapped in Esther's well-earned wisdom and humor.

Wow. Wow. WOW. (5/5)

MORE PLEASE. This is exactly what I’ve been searching for! This woman is so intelligent and insightful. Even if you can’t relate to the specific issue/topic of the therapy session, there is still so much to be gained just from listening. She has an incredible ability to see past the surface and bring forward the underlying issues in a language that is so clear and accessible. You’ll find yourself remembering her commentary and being more mindful of your own words, your own perceptions and your own actions.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! (5/5)

I am a therapist myself, just starting out in private practice and WOW this podcast really helps you to understand the essence of couples therapy and the sexual aspect to it. Thank you Esther, you are an Oracle to this field! Love from Florida.

Love this podcast (5/5)

Isn’t there another season!?

Omg! (5/5)

I need the 3rd season! Love this!

Love it (5/5)

Waiting for more (5/5)

I listened to every episode and am waiting for more! It says season 3 released Spring 2019 and its now fall, any updates?

Eye Opening (5/5)

Estaire is so compassionate and insightful: I’m learning so much from her through these brave couples’ experiences.

Where Should We Begin (5/5)

Definitely life altering! I am dying for more episodes. I feel like listening makes me a better person and a better partner.

Season 3 (5/5)

Is on Audible, as a book (?)....... Where Are We Now? The Arc of Love”

Just wow (5/5)

This is life altering.

Huge fan from the very beginning. (5/5)

I’ve been waiting for season 3 for a long long time. I see people saying it’s on audible but I only see seasons 1 and 2 on there as well. Can someone please give us an update on the status of season 3?

Invaluable (5/5)

Incredible series but WHERE IS SEASON 3???

Transcendent (5/5)

Also- I feel like people need to know... season 3 is on audible podcasts. And it’s great.

Love this podcast! (5/5)

Been waiting for season 3 for an eternity!! Please release it!

Yes season 3! (5/5)

It’s been a while when will season 3 stop 🤣😭

Come on! (5/5)

Please drop Season 3!

WHERE IS SEASON 3!?!? (5/5)

Truly a gem (5/5)

Where’s season three!!!!! Such a gem of tender human emotion/connection/tragedy. Really adore Miss Perel and love this fly on the wall view of her graceful, tender support of struggling love.

Great stuff! (5/5)

I love this podcast! About to go sign up for Audible though so I can listen to season 3 since it seems it might not be released here 😐

pure hermeneutic joy (5/5)

esther perel is so incredibly smart, and this podcast is a joy to listen to. WHERE IS SEASON 3?!

Insightfully wonderful (5/5)

I came across this podcast by chance and it turned out to be exceptional. To say that I learned a lot would be nothing more than statement of fact. The experience I had, while listening, was insightful, emotional, and everything in between. I can’t wait for more episodes.

Insightful (5/5)

I learn so much about myself by listening to these sessions and am growing my empathy towards others. What a unique experience to get to be a “fly on the wall” in a very good counseling session.

Learning (5/5)

After listening to a handful of episodes I feel like Esther and her patients are my friends, I’m learning much about my self and my relationships

I am a fan. (5/5)

Esther Perel is brilliant, the podcast is so insightful ! What a way of exploring the complexity of relationships. I love listening to the questions Esther asks, to dig deeper and to understand the issues between couples. So much wisdom. I cannot wait for season 3.

A+++++ (5/5)

AMAZING! As a podcast, it is very entertaining and interesting. It made me tear up so many times. I can relate to some issues and now can understand certain emotions that hits me time to time. It gives youa very fresh perpective of human psychology (Not that I know anything, I'm no specialist!) I cannot wait for season 3 it's all I've been waiting for. I love Esther!!! She is just THE BEST!!

Spring 2019 (5/5)

I love this podcast! It’s such a great learning tool to reflect upon yourself but also others and how they may feel!!! Please, when is it coming back?? Also how come no one is responding to all these great reviews that you are getting? I did email and asked about season 3 and they said it was on audible, but it’s not named the same and feels more like a book than a podcast!!! Can you please make SEASON 4 😍😍

Season 3 (5/5)

I absolutely love this podcast! You’re absolutely an amazing speaker, therapist and human being! I’m very excited for Season 3 to become available. The show notes said it would be available in the Spring, it is now mid Summer and I was wondering if you could post when it will be starting? I check frequently and I am very much looking forward to new episodes!

Nourishment for your relationship soul... (4/5)

I’m not even in a relationship and I thoroughly enjoy listening to Esther. First heard of her on a Dax Podcast. She brings such a deep understanding of issues within relationships and sets the bar for what a therapist should be able to accomplish. While she is having a session, she will break several times and address the podcast audience with things like, “here is what I heard”, “this is what I am thinking”, “I am going to try this”. This provides the listener with a better understanding of the session. There are too many things I love about this podcast to describe in one review. Needless to say, listening to Esther Perel will be a requirement for my next partner. lol...

Season 3 is on Audible (5/5)

Like so many other people that have written reviews, I too have been waiting for Season 3. I just did a search for it and it seems to only be available on Audible. I have never used that before, but it seems like you need to pay to use it, which is disappointing. Luckily, I believe there is a free trial. There’s no way I can not listen to Season 3! Esther is so wonderful and knowledgeable in how to help the featured couples.

Desperately waiting (5/5)

I don’t know what it says about me and my wellness but I’m desperate for a 3rd season. It has made me a better sister, wife, daughter, and mother to listen and think through these sessions. Thank you and spring is already passed!

Love love love this podcast (5/5)

What a great podcast!!! This helps me so much in my own everyday life. Waiting on season3

Where is Season 3? (5/5)

I love this show and need new episodes!

Waiting.... (5/5)

Where is Season 3?

Insightful (5/5)

This podcast shares a lot of insights about the struggles of marriage. It makes me reflect about my own marriage and experiences.

Season 3 (5/5)

This is a great podcast. What happened to Season 3 that was supposed to be available Spring 2019?

Well worth the purchase (5/5)

Been a listener of "Where Should We Begin?" from the beginning and so purchasing Season 3 from Audible was a no brainer. There were 6 couples, all with a different story. Some issues were very relatable and I found that you can actually learn a lot from these. A minor downside (which Esther is aware of), this is not recorded in a sound booth so there are times when the New York construction noise overpowers the conversation (distracts it).

Human Dynamics (5/5)

As someone enthralled with human relationships and just being human, this is the most intriguing podcast. It has made me a better partner as well.

When can we expect season 3??? (5/5)

Where is season 3?! We’re waiting!!!

Thank you (5/5)

Thank you for your perspective and truth. I learn something from every episode and have gained a new lens of which to reflect on not only my marriage but other relationships and my relationship with myself.

When is it coming? (5/5)

Heard her on another podcast. Fell in love. (5/5)

BIG love to EP! She’s a fantastic source for really great info, self reflection, and a good laugh, too. She’s forthright, compassionate, and intelligent. I love this podcast. I love EP. I love learning through this platform.

Such a powerful podcast! There is no one like Esther! (5/5)

This podcast is extremely powerful. Esther’s ability to be sensitive to her guests make you root for them. She is able to help people truly think differently. She is walking in her purpose fully. She is changing lives and she is doing it just by asking the questions. Now when is season 3 coming???

Wise Words (5/5)

This is the very first podcast I have ever really got into listening to. While the stories and sessions are not extremely riveting or exciting they are real and down to earth. Esther is very insightful on advising the steps couples should be taking to communicate. I encourage every couple to listen along. A lot of the advice shared pertains to so many different aspects in a relationship.

Season 3 (5/5)

Where is it?!

Love the show! I want an update show!! (5/5)

I learn something every episode. That you Esther for your wise perspective.

Deep Listen but Consistency? (3/5)

Love these episodes and always looking forward to more. But spring is over, where are the new episodes?

Waiting for Season 3 (5/5)

Yes, I’m curious about when Season 3 will start. Does anyone know?

I learn something from every episode (5/5)

I like listening because it is nice to know that I am not the only one who doesn’t have it all together. I like how she always comes from a place of love and infuses it into every session. I also like how she helps the patients to understand that she is there to help and not fix anyone.

Can’t wait for more (5/5)

When is season 3 out? It’s just curious 🤷🏻‍♀️📚🤘🏻

Phenomenal (5/5)

I absolutely love this podcast! I can’t wait for season 3!

One of my favorite podcasts (5/5)

Esther Perel is amazing! What I love is that I can sometimes apply her advice in these relationships to my work and daily life—it’s not just relevant for romantic relationships.

Wondering? (5/5)

Curious when the new season is coming out. Two weeks left of spring. Just saying.

Wonderful! (5/5)

Great advice. Where is season 3??

Season three ? (5/5)

I love this but where’s season 3 😃educational 👌

Updates?? :( (5/5)

Love this podcast. That being said, it is June now, which is Summer 2019 in my book. Where my new season at? 😩

Fascinating! (5/5)

This podcast is so fascinating. Hearing couples confront all kinds of issues is so helpful, as are the asides and insights from EP.

Love, wish there was more content! (5/5)

I love these episodes!! This podcast gives you different perspectives on different relationships. Helps you to understand communication and other people’s realities. It’s very educational. Now I’m just waiting for springs content to come out!! :)

Mind blown! (5/5)

I also stubbled across this podcast thru Dax Shepherds podcast and was mind blown! She hit on a lot of things that fit into my life right now.. as if she was answering to my prayers for answers. She helped me see a different perspective on things. She made so much sense and gave me hope. I’ve been binge listening to all her episodes and look forward to her 3rd season. She’s amazing! She’s like a “Relationship Whisperer”!

Listen to every episode. You'll be glad you did. (5/5)

Came to this podcast because of Ester's appearance on Armchair Expert. Ester is an incredible human being with deep insight into what makes people tick. I'm not even in a relationship, but I get so much out of this podcast. Often feel like Ester's talking to me when I know for certain she's not, but she's just that good at understanding people. Absolutely worth listening to every episode.

Love! (5/5)

I’m not even part of a couple but I find every episode so enlightening and thought provoking. Can’t wait for season 3

Wow! (5/5)

I just binged both seasons and I absolutely cannot wait for Season 3! Esther you are amazing!!

Fantastic (5/5)

I'm only halfway through season 1 and I can say this podcast is now my favorite (and I listen to a lot of podcasts). The conversations are so intimate that sometimes I feel I shouldn't be listening. So I am very grateful to Mrs Perel and team for letting us see "behind the curtain". Mrs Perel beautifully walks that line where she hears her guests, yet knows just the right thing to say to tip the scales in favor of their flourishing. When she plays with them, and they play back, it really is fun.

Amazing! (5/5)

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and I absolutely love this podcast, it’s amazing to hear someone work with couples so gracefully. She’s great! I love the sense of humor she uses and focusing on cultural differences. I love how she can also say “what I should have said was...”. Loving it. Thank you!!!

Honestly (5/5)

Changed my life

LOVE (5/5)

I love this intimate peek into relationships and how she pulls back to tell you what the people are really saying. It’s so interesting to hear how complex we truly are! It’s also crazy to think how ill-equipped we are for understanding each other. I literally check everyday to see if Season 3 has been released!

Raw & heartfelt (5/5)

Esther is amazing! Listening to this audible makes me feel like I, too, am getting a therapy session. I love that I can always take something from each episode because Esther is so versatile. I’m looking forward to season 3!

Great (5/5)

Sometimes I think the participants are being “led” to a conclusion they don’t necessarily buy into 100%, but overall, for those of us interested in the human condition and how people cope, these episodes have been great listening! I have picked up some tidbits that I am reminded of in certain situations. Like, in regard to the saying that time heals all wounds, there was the observation, “There’s nothing magical about time. It’s what happens during that time that’s important.” I keep checking back for more episodes, I hope there’s more to come! Season 3 is here, yay!

Esther is the Best (5/5)

Love, love & love!!!! Esther is amazing, I could listen to her all day. She is very intelligent in her field, she has a great way of framing things, to a relatable level. She has an amazing voice! My only complaint is I need way more episodes.

Thank you Esther! (5/5)

Cannot wait for the next season, such amazing view points

Love love love love (5/5)

This podcast has taught me so much more about myself in relationships and has really helped me pin point where improvement is needed within myself. Each episode leaves me mind blown, humbled, and inspired to go back to my relationship several steps smarter and more empathetic. I cannot wait for season 3 and I’m so thankful I stumbled across Esther through her genius TED Talk which lead me to here! ❤️🙏🏼

Can’t wait for season 3! (5/5)

Have been listening and reading everything I can find by Esther! Can’t wait for season 3!

Please make the episodes longer (5/5)

The themes are universal and listening to the calm, compassionate and animated way in which Esther Perel decodes the problems in each session to identify the real issues is compelling. The editing from the three hour session to the 30 mins episode is done well but often I would like to understand the process and wish the episode was at last an hour long. Thank you for creating this series. It is a real gift.

I love this! Just found out that she has a podcast. Please MORE! I love the rawness and how to just hear other humans speak about ways they’re trying to figure things out with Esther. I am in need of help and hearing all of this. Thank you!

Beautiful (5/5)

I love the authentic talk and non judgment. Relationships are not always easy.

YES! (5/5)

I enjoyed this sooo much. I hope it encourages more people to seek therapy because of the benefits seen here. Esther is great at challenging the faulty beliefs of some people and helping them see beyond their own viewpoint.

One of my all-time favorites (5/5)

This is a go-to when I’m going on a long trip. Such honest, wonderful (although often heartbreaking) content that makes you re-examine your own relationships. I only wish there were more frequent episodes!

❤️ (5/5)

Can’t wait to season 3.

Amazing! - UPDATE (5/5)

SOOOOOO glad to see this podcast making a return! I can’t wait for the Spring :-)

The scope of this thing… (5/5)

God this podcast is just fantastic. Esther Perel is brilliant. I finally got around to ordering “Mating in Captivity“ (her book) and I can’t wait for it to arrive this week!

Perspective (5/5)

This podcast gives an insane amount of perspective to those who listen. There is so much to learn from each episode and Esther’s thoughts from when she re-listens are some of the best pieces. A truly vulnerable look into people’s lives that may be struggling with some of the same things you are. Besides, Esther’s accent is so enjoyable and there’s always something to learn from her!

Went home, bought all of her books. (5/5)

Not everyone can communicate their feelings, even fewer of us take time to understand their meaning, where they come from, what parts of our pasts have contributed to how we react, understand, interpret. This series was incredibly insightful, human, normalizing— I could go on, forever, with praise. I couldn’t stop listening, then had to listen again once I took the time to absorb them. I did purchase all of Perel’s books. They’re great, but hearing her in her sessions with real people in the live was far more intriguing. I’m totally hooked. Esther Perel x Audible HAS to make more...

If you are in therapy this is a must... (5/5)

This is a wonderful show and I'm so grateful to have found it. It's like being a fly on the wall at someone else's therapy session. You get more therapeutic exposure and can gain a greater sense of insight and more importantly empathy. I told my therapist- it's like additional homework between sessions. Thank you so much for this podcast ❤️.

So good (5/5)

Hurry up and do more please.

Love THIS (5/5)

This podcast is a glimpse into couples’ lives and how they got where they are today. It is personal and intimate. The episodes usually don’t cover anything sexual or erotic but rather are focused on the individuals that make up these couples. Esther has a gift of perception and is able to balance sensitivity while succinctly articulating feedback. She is truly amazing - I want to be just like her when I grow up!!

Must listen if you’re human (5/5)

Simply amazing concept and session! Love the advice as well.

Love it (5/5)

I love this podcast, and I love her advice and counseling technique

The best !!! Excited for more , is April 27th the last of this season 2? (5/5)

Love Esther, she covers everything clearly understood thank you When is the new season I can’t seem to find anything I’m all caught up on season two

Love them all! (5/5)

I hope there will be more seasons! I loved every episode. Many of the things I could apply to my own life and marriage.

Please (5/5)

Please please come back I miss you on iTunes

Fantastic (5/5)

Outstanding service. I love it and want more.

Incredibly Interesting (5/5)

There are nuggets of gold in every session. This podcast emphasizes healthy communication in relationships but has also helped with understanding and communicating with a number of different types of people in every day life. Can’t. Stop. Listening.

the best. (5/5)

What I would give to have Esther Perel work with me. I am so grateful for this show and her books. She has opened up my eyes and made me see relationships and communication in a whole new way.

Therapy works if you work it (5/5)

I tell everyone about this podcast. It’s makes you think about your relationships to other people and to yourself without ever being a self help vibe. Her ability to say the perfect word to describe a feeling leaves me in awe every time.

So insightful! (5/5)

Esther Perel is absolutely amazing at getting couples to really talk to each other. I learn something about myself in every episode.

Miss the show (5/5)

This is a great podcast! Can’t wait for more episodes.

Enlightened (5/5)

I dare to say I’ve learned just as much, if not more about myself, my ex-partner and the relationship we had together than I did in all my years of therapy. This podcast gives me hope for suffering relationships. Don’t give up until you’ve listened! And, read her books, Mating in Captivity and State of Affairs. Dr. Perel is a genius!

If only you could find therapists like her more commonly in the US! (5/5)

She’s fantastic!!

Life altering (5/5)

We can learn from others' mistakes and welcome a new day for our relationship. Listen as Perel peels back layers of anger, fear, shame and hopelessness to reveal the fascinating humans we really are...or can be, with an open mind. I recognized my behavior patterns and emotional pitfalls in several episodes. We are more similar than we think. I urge you to listen with an open heart and I'm confident you'll find wisdom and answers as I did.

An excellent use of time for all of us (5/5)

These episodes are SO good. Even if the problems aren’t in your own life, there are small things that you can glean and apply to your own relationships. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and family, some single, some with partners. Esther has a wonderful ability to build rapport, see through what someone is saying, and bring much needed insight into the situation. She also readily admits when she does something wrong, which gains trust and shows such a respect for the people she’s working with. I hope there’s more to come. Thank you for letting us eavesdrop for the sake of our health and relationships.

Great listen (5/5)

Love this podcast! Hopefully it keeps going.

Insightful and Transformative (5/5)

Cannot recommend Ester strongly enough. I’ve learned so much about myself, negative habits, coping skills, insights into my relationships, etc.

You have a chance (5/5)

you have a chance to solve your problems, to understand your marriage, just try to listen and meditate. It’s like therapy for me. Thanks! ❤️

Love ever word (5/5)

Love every word. Esther’s brilliance around human behavior, her timing, and how she bottom-lines it for her clients is impeccable. I’m hooked and have learned so much.

Wow. Episode 1. Internalized Misogyny. (1/5)

Ugh. Can’t listen to anything past this.

Come back! (5/5)

Would love to listen to new episodes!

I LOVE this podcast - by far one of my favorites of all time. I hope they create more episodes!! Ester has such a fantastic and unique point of view, and really gives wonderful, empathetic, realistic advice. I think we all need some of her words of wisdom!

Insightful and Fascinating (5/5)

Brutally honest and insightful. I’m drawn in and mesmerized during each episode. Only wish the episodes came more frequently! Can’t wait for the next season.

Must subscribe!!!!!!! (5/5)

I am a podcast lover, I usually try different podcast to see what spark my interest. Since I discovered this podcast, I cannot get enough. Thank you Esther and every person who find the courage to share their issues with the world. This podcast is very insightful and inspirational.

Fly on the wall (5/5)

It’s fascinating and riveting to be a fly on the wall of these therapy sessions and get a glimpse into the private lives of others. I could listen to a thousand episodes of this podcast and never get bored.

Incredible (5/5)

Esther is a genius!

An honest look into relationships (5/5)

I love to listen to this show while working around the house are driving around town. The conversations that couples are able to have during these in-depth interviews are open and honest and hard and raw. I love when Ester calls someone out, and then encourages and help them dig deeper for the truth.

Feel Good and Feel Deep (5/5)

I really enjoy this show. Being a fly on the wall in these counseling sessions is amazing! I feel like I am learning so many things about relationships, myself, and the other people in my relationships. I think listening to this podcast has made me a more receptive, and hopefully better, person.

I love this podcast and Esther it’s one of my favorites thank you!

Amazingly honest (5/5)

This series is outstanding and I am deeply appreciative of the couples willing to discuss their issues. She is masterful at bringing out points of discussion and facilitating each person and at the same time she calls out bad behavior. This is a great podcast.

Love this pod! (5/5)

Great concept, fascinating to listen to and can help you get a little marriage and relationship advice for free if you listen closely! Great pod!

Learning experience (5/5)

It is easy to trust one's own analysis. It is much more difficult to listen. I have learned so much about my relationships and myself from listening to this podcast. I have learned how to be a better listener. I am deeply grateful for this experience.

Very Helpful (5/5)

I've listened to season 1 and 2, and I'm looking forward to the next one. I recommend it to everyone. I've learned so much about romantic and family relationships from Esther. She's incredible.

I am so grateful for this podcast (5/5)

I was introduced to this podcast an excerpt was featured on This American Life. Listening to this podcast has rescued my relationship. I lacked the ability to communicate my needs and that led to serious frustration and a breakup. I now have the language to communicate through it and the perspective to know where I have been neglectful of him. This podcast excites me. It really has changed my life. I am so grateful because I have the love of my life back! I’m definitely going to buy Esther’s books.

Insightful, unexpected, captivating (5/5)

I devoured every one of these episodes. Ester has a way of unpacking people’s issues to reveal the REAL dynamics and motivations that underlie their behavior. She adds a level of depth and respect to her clients experiences that could easily be dismissed with pop-psychology. You never end up where you expect to. This lady knows her stuff!

Episode 1 (1/5)

He’s the one who cheated and she’s the one who ended up apologizing. Esther did a wrong thing there.

LOVE!!!!!!! (5/5)

She is amazing at what she does! Love this show! I hope she never stops.

Looking for more (5/5)

I love this podcast...waiting for more episodes.

Invaluable (5/5)

With psychiatry being so stigmatized in our culture this show brings people into the room and helps to humanize the practice. You get to walk with people through the challenges of poor and uninformed perspectives, assumptive thoughts, implied communications, and childhood trauma. Esther does a brilliant job of unweaving where destructive thoughts and actions stem from to help not only the people on the podcasts but also those listening along who may have thought or done the same things. I can’t think of anything better to help people grow personally than to hear these types of challenges and problems be addressed in a coherent manner with a professional explaining along the process. It’s worth the listen and the self reflection, a truly powerful podcast. I don’t think there were many episodes that didn’t bring me to tears. I hope this podcast continues as long as possible.

Raw and Talented (5/5)

My wife and I discovered Esther through her amazing Ted Talks. Her first book “Mating in Captivity” transformed our relationship and the way we were able to talk about intimacy. We love stepping inside these sessions and have learned something from each one. Esther’s talent as a therapist is undeniable. We find her absolutely brilliant and appreciate that she and these couples have allowed us to learn through them.

So amazing how much I could take out for myself!!! (5/5)

I love it and can't wait for more episodes!!!

Grueling but great (5/5)

WOW. Listening to these sessions with couples that have gone to Esther Perel is eye-opening in many, many ways. It is rather difficult for me to listen to becasue I have felt many of the things that the patients discuss. Some of those things were painful. To listen to the things Esther says to them is absolutely amazing and I have learned a lot.

Excellent (5/5)

I really am captivated by this podcast. I love the common sense, approach to approach people in love, grace and compassion.

So so good! (5/5)

I have followed Esther since 2013 and have loved her approach and insights via her books and public speaking engagements. This podcast takes it to a whole new level.. I pull gems of wisdom and life lessons from every episode! I feel greater empathy and understanding of my own behaviors as well as a different perspective on others. Bravo Audible.. thank you for bringing this fantastic individual into my weekly commute!

Love this podcast (5/5)

This podcast has helped me so much as a therapist AND as a partner

Just what I needed. So therapeutic! (5/5)

Listening to this show is putting me in the right frame of mind to be a better listener in my relationship. Thank you! Thank you Esther and to all the couples who have generously shared their experiences so that others like myself can learn and be better in our relationships. I have heard it many times how important it is to use empathic listening / reflective listening. It is literally relationship 101. So simple yet so hard to consistently develop as a habit. Listening to the show and listening to the technique of reflective listening applied over and over to different situations is reminding me of how important it is to build this habit in my relationship ship. Thank you!

I recommend this to everyone, not just couples. (5/5)

Esther Perez is a brilliant woman. This podcast opened my eyes and gave me the language to describe my own relationship. Very profound.

Beautiful topic (5/5)

The topics are truly amazing and could relate to few of the topics. The solution and explanation is totally different from what I thought. Yes I do listen at work. Thanks keep doing this!! Suman

Insight is off the charts (5/5)

She hears a whole different and much deeper conversation going on between a couple. I love her own personal review and insight that she has about herself and choices she makes in the sessions. I binged all of these and it has left me wanting more. Highly recommended.

Makes You Think (5/5)

These sessions make you think about your own relationship and where you could do a little house cleaning and introspection. Nothing shocks her and nothing disgusts her. Dr Ruth in a modern young package!

Love it !!! (4/5)

Very informative and helpful

Makes you reflect on your own life (5/5)

This is a great podcast. What Esther Perel does here is a public service. By letting us eavesdrop on her clients’ conversations and on her own thoughts, she is helping people like me learn more about the underlying patterns in our own lives, about our deepest motivations, and about the human condition.

One of my favorites (5/5)

Esther is truly magic. She has a way of facilitating genuine and raw conversations. I’ve learned so much through these episodes, and it gets me thinking about ways I can be a better partner. Please release the next season!

Where are you? (5/5)

I’m having Where shall we begin withdrawal, hurry!

Love it but (5/5)

Love the podcast but i just wanna say how full of crap is the man in season 2 episode 7. I tried to be open minded but the crap was too obvious.

Refreshing and insightful (5/5)

Esther delves into issues that I think many couples encounter over the course of their marriage or partnership - though sometimes presented in the extreme in the sessions. It’s wonderful to hear people be so honest about their experiences. Every episode is different and provides new insight into your own relationships.

So necessary! (5/5)

How great to be able to hear about the complexity of being in a relationship. Esther Perel is so smart and warm! It's very moving that couples are willing to share their personal experiences. Beautiful (and very necessary) podcast!

New Episodes please! (4/5)

Been waiting for new episodes for a month now- are there going to be new ones soon?

Better than you think it will be (5/5)

This genuinely helped me to process some complex things in my life. I highly recommend

More,please! (5/5)

Please bring this back!

One of the best podcasts in existence. (5/5)

This show has been transformative for me and my girlfriend. I learn so much every time and see myself & my family in so many of these situations. It’s really beautiful.

Five Stars (5/5)

I am rating five stars because Esther is great at what she does. Truthful, compassionate, gentle advice.

Brilliant (5/5)

I learn something about relationships and myself every time I listen to her. I love her calm style and her terrific insights.

Best relationship podcast ever! (5/5)

I am still in aw of this postcast! I heard everything in like 2days! It’s so mind blowing and empowering! Like no other podcast! It’s a must watch for everyone!

So real (5/5)

I love that she has real couples and their real voices! Its like watching an educational soap opera...

Best podcast I ever listened. (5/5)

Great starting point if you want to really understand what it takes to build relationships upon hurdles.

Listening to the work of a great therapist (5/5)

It’s an honor to be let in on the very private lives of these couples and their struggles. I hope this can open up conversation and help couples recognize themselves in these other couples and seek out help. Or at least reflect on their place in the relationship. I also appreciate the times Ester will talk about a moment missed or a mistake she made while in session. An honest portrayal of therapy that, as a therapist, inspires me to keep learning and to be authentic.

My Favorite Yet (5/5)

This is an amazing podcast with something for everyone. I begin thinking that nothing I'm hearing applies to me, my marriage is not falling apart, we're straight without gender issues, we don't have any true resentment. But I have yet to walk away without a pearl of wisdom that I hadn't thought about before or that now has added context and depth, that I can immediately apply to my life and relationships. After each episode, I find myself processing what I've heard. Looking forward to more!

This is sooo raw and just honest. (5/5)

Brutally honest, raw and simply real life. Thank you for allowing us into these therapy sessions.

Amazing regardless of your relationship status (5/5)

I'm so glad I found this podcast, it's interesting, relatable and emotional. Regardless of your relationship status I think there's a lesson in each episode on how we can better connect with, communicate with, and love the people in our lives.

Fantastic. (5/5)

I find myself applying a lot of Esters advice in my own interactions. Love the structure of these episodes, the raw emotion, and Esters confident, soothing voice. I hope these will continue!

Riveting (5/5)

Amazing content and fantastic process. I love listening and learning. Wish I could meet her!

Incredible (5/5)

I have nearly cried due to several episodes. Some have hit quite close to home and others have opened my eyes to issues I could face in the future. I love her views and her intelligence is astounding. I learn so much from every episode.

The only I therapy/psychology podcast I love! (5/5)

Esther Perel is an extraordinarily insightful, smart, and generous therapist. She is fascinating and wonderful. Love the podcast. Love that she exists in this world. If only there were more therapists as skilled as she is! I suspect it would cut the divorce rate in half!

Obsessed (5/5)

The world needs more of this

Something everyone should listen to (5/5)

At many times heart wrenching, but often times insightful, this is a podcast everyone should listen to as it deals with issues so many are facing or know someone who is. Beyond that though, it gives insight into what some people deal with privately on a daily basis. So very worth a listen.

Esther is a genius! (5/5)

Since reading Mating In Captivity I have wanted to meet Esther and schedule a therapy session with her for my husband and me, but didn’t know if or when we could fly to NY to do it. Until that day comes (and it will), I have this podcast to listen to and learn from. Thank you, Esther, for the gift you give to couples everywhere by letting us listen to you work your magic. ❤️

Sanity Check (5/5)

This is a sanity checker for couples that feel alone or question if the ebbs and flows of life together is .... normal. Thanks and please release more podcasts.

More more more (5/5)

We need more of these things like this. She has such an esthetic voice. Not so mundane like a lot of the other podcasts. This is REAL. RAW. AND RELEVANT. In each podcast I can find myself or my relationship issues.

Esther is amazing (5/5)

I love love love every word that she speaks. Wise, humble, thoughtful, kind, patient. If only every therapist could be an Esther.

Esther Opened My Mind (5/5)

I listened to her TED talk and it made me rethink my whole relationship with my wife. Now I have the podcasts. So happy to have the extra insight on how couples work together.

Insightful Listening (5/5)

Esther is a genius. I’m learning so much from this podcast.

Brilliant!! (5/5)

More, more, more please!! The world needs this...

Cant get enough (5/5)

What an awesome podcast; I just cant get enough!

Brilliant (5/5)

I love listening to Esther — I always learn something new. Thank you to the couples who were brave enough to allow us to hear their stories and learn from the discussion.

My favorite podcast (5/5)

I learn SO much about the dynamics of relationships. I listen to many different podcasts and hands-down this is my favorite.

Just amazing every time! (5/5)

Esther is just the best! And the stories are so captivating and relevant to anybody’s own life! I’ve learned so much from this podcast and it has made my commute fun! I sometimes get nervous I won’t be able to finish the episode during my commute and will have to wait until go back home to find out about the ending!

Darn good (5/5)

I feel like I owe Esther thousands of dollars for therapy. Really good deep down stuff.

I am learning a lot! (5/5)

As a clinician, I find Esther Perel informative, effective, and experienced. As a human being, I find her captivating and compelling. Listening to her conducting sessions is to be allowed into the room of the master. She is artful, and authoritative yet deeply compassionate. She gets to the heart of the couple’s issues based on their attachment style and history and can quickly summarize in depth the heart of what has happened, as well as suggest what needs to happen to improve or save the relationship. While some are not to be saved—Esther has no pretensions that any of them will, that is not her objective, as it should be for any couples therapist—she defines the dynamic to help couples understand. Esther often gives a summation monologue at the end of the show, at times indicating follow up with the couple, which is insightful and interesting. I also enjoy that there are a large range of relationships featured; LGBTQ, races, ethnicities, cultures, married/unmarried, children/no children, yet any couple could have any of the issues involved. The choice of who is featured highlights the commonality of relationship dynamics rather than separate them. All in all, a unique and fantastic podcast!

Necessary listening (5/5)

Here I am crying while listening to a couple I've never met work through infidelity in their marriage. Esther asks questions that you don't expect and that make you think about your own relationships, regardless if you've personally experienced the same problems as the couple. Can't wait to make my way through the rest and think of my own marriage in new ways.

Amazing (5/5)

I love Esther! Her books and TED talks, speeches, and this!! You can apply every episode to your life even if the situations don’t fit specifically. Incredible.

Illuminating (5/5)

Ester Perell takes such nuanced and compassionate view of our human condition. I appreciate the insight and process she shares in these podcasts. A Wonderful opportunity to learn ! Thank you.

Love her!!! (5/5)

My favorite podcast!

Insightful & Compelling (5/5)

I have learned something from every one.

So insightful! (5/5)

Can’t explain in words why I this podcast feels so amazing. I don’t know what exactly it is. But even just the part of (watching) hearing other people being truthful & honest with their partner is incredible. Esther has a very special way of reaching to the core of an issue, & she’s helping these couples find the truth that’s not feeling right for them. It’s amazing! Couples therapy at its best!

Wow (5/5)

All I can say is wow! So informative and nurturing and not aggressive. Esther is phenomenal and a great extractor of info and feelings. What a listener. I love this podcast.

Esther is a force of nature (5/5)

I am captivated by every single episode. Thank you to the couples for their courage and to Esther for eliciting truth and grace.

gobsmacked in the best way possible.. (5/5)

esther’s style of therapy and insight has given me chills in how she’s able to cut through the BS through her counseling but also giving her clients the space and ability to put into their own words of what they’re absorbing or “hearing” from not only her but from their partners as well . my own personal therapist thought i’d get a lot out of these podcasts , especially the the one titled “ trauma and touch” and it didn’t disappoint! as a hopeful “ helper” as my therapist calls of those who want to get into the world of counseling and wanting to be a therapist one day , i feel like i’m being shown of what good quality therapist out there are like esther perel and jacki larusso!

Personal Therapy (5/5)

This podcast is a breath of fresh air. I’m married & in love, and feel like I have strong lines of communication with my significant other. This podcast has made me learn new ways to approach situations and to reflect upon my behavior and how I go about loving and communicating with my husband. I’m so excited to listen to these on the way to work and to discuss my “learnings” with husband and friends. This podcast is for everyone! Single, in a relationship... everyone. It is emotional, eye opening and will make you think about how you communicate and “love”.

Good if you like horrible things (1/5)

Wild invasion of privacy only good for gossiping middle aged woman who are on the brink of divorce. Way to publicize horrible advice and assure the American people that nothing in sacred anymore.

Amazing and Moving (5/5)

Can’t wait to hear more! I love how diverse the couples are!

Podcasts (5/5)

Love listening and learning about people and relationships. Keep up the good works Esther. Love your podcasts

Wow 😱 (5/5)

Just. Amazing. I’m starting my masters in marriage and family therapy this fall and I found this extremely helpful to be in the therapy room. Excited to listen to more from Esther Perel. 🙏🏽👍🏽🕉🔆touching my soul 🌲🌱💙💚💛🧡❤️💜🖤and learning

Honest raw sessions with nuance and depth (5/5)

These sessions show how issues we usually think of as black and white have more nuance. I appreciated the willingness of the guests to share their stories. I felt for all of them and came away from listening feeling more compassionate towards the world.

New Season Please (5/5)

Raw and real. Sometimes makes me uncomfortable/squirm in a good way. More episodes please!!!

Amazing (5/5)

Esther’s insights and her gentle but firm direction are superb. She is incredibly fair. I am learning from each session.

Come back on air. (4/5)

I love her been refreshing her page just to ensure I don’t miss it. Please come back!

Life’s reality (5/5)

I’m looking forward to hearing every episode. Love it

Incredible (5/5)

I have a Therapist crush- your my role and I thrive to be as great as you are. Thank you! As a therapist the sessions are so helpful.

Esther Offers Insight (5/5)

She is so versed and intuitive with her clients. She is able to give both partners one another’s perspective. She’s equitable and digs deep w/each individual of the couple, to ease their way out of themselves and their own pain, to open to the other to entertain the importance of empathizing w/ your mate.

So Incredible (5/5)

Even though some of the issues discussed don't directly relate to my own life, I always hear at least one piece of advice to take away from each episode.

Amazing (5/5)

Anyone can benefit from this podcast. It’s not just about marriage, sex, or infidelity. There are so many amazing things she touches on to help in many different relationships. My new favorite podcast!

Amazing (5/5)

One of a kind podcast that I love to listen to being a therapist myself. It’s always great to hear someone else’s craft!

Not a therapist (1/5)

She is much more a self-help guru than a therapist. She is too much in the center of almost every interaction. She is overly directive and seems to have no sense of who she is for the couple (transference awareness). The danger is that the clients are compliant to her forceful interventions and framing. You wonder if those forced interventions will take hold. An indicator that this is not therapy is that the session is about how great Esther Perel is and not how much the couple is struggling and working through the issues.

This podcast is amazing (5/5)

I love the host. She is so brilliant.

Sooo good (5/5)

This show is freaking amazing. It is unlike anything in podcasting.

Great podcast! (5/5)

I adore Esther. She is fair and concise. Every episode has been so great for different reasons. Even the episodes I think I wouldn’t relate to, always end up giving me some sort of clarity on a marital issue that maybe already happened or I could see happening in the future. Told my husband to listen too. What a great idea for a podcast. This could help a lot of couples!

Fantastic (5/5)

This podcast makes me laugh, cry and rethink myself and my relationships. I love Esther Perel so much and will listen to anything she puts out.

Shockingly insightful (5/5)

I’ve never don’t therapy and am not married — I didn’t have high expectations that I’d connect with this podcast. I couldn’t be more wrong. Esther’s insights continually catch you off guard. The conversations are fascinating and I learned something new every single episode. All in all it’s fascinating. MORE PLEASE!!

You learn something about yourself! (5/5)

Great insight how we all bring our unresolved issues into relationships and most of these are early childhood familial and cultural conditioning. The therapy is great to get to "what" the issue is but usually lacks in figuring out "how" to resolve these issues.

Exceptional (5/5)

Great listen

Fascinating (5/5)

An exercise in perspectives; a lesson to learn in every episode

Eye opening and tender (5/5)

Esther Perez has unique insight into the complexities of modern relationships.

For those who like to Think (5/5)

This podcast is not entertaining in its content but it IS exactly what it says it is. It’s couples therapy sessions each one a different topic with different couples. Esther is smart and so insightful and thoughtful. If you are interested in intimate relationships, and the things that inform them, you will love this.

I like it ! (5/5)

Only 2 episodes in And I'm hooked.

We all need Esther! (5/5)

Great stories.

PG (1/5)

Should be rated PG=prime garbage

Moving! (5/5)

None of these situations relate to me objectively, yet I find myself so moved by the relatable struggles in every episode. Esther is like a magician, intuitively leading each couple towards new truths. 100 stars!

Thank you for the honesty (5/5)

It’s amazing to listen to REAL, RAW couples therapy for us married couples out here who can benefit from afar. Thank you.

Can't stop listening (5/5)

Raw, eye opening and interesting. Can't stop listening. Esther is amazing and I really appreciate how much these couples open up to her and each other.

Very engaging ! (5/5)

I love her. She gives great insight and professional/neutral guidance on relatable issues between couples. Glad i found this !

Waiting each week for the next one (5/5)

I can’t speak highly enough about Esther Perel. She is an excellent communicator, highly skilled and knowledgeable, funny and thoughtful, without driving her own agenda - the only agenda is guiding her clients to their own resolution. I’ve learned so much and am humbled by the authenticity, candor and vulnerability her clients bring to such an intimate glimpse of their lives.

Free therapy :) (3/5)

Free therapy ;)

Beautiful (5/5)

Beautiful podcast

Super informative and insightful. I learn so much every single episode! (5/5)

***** Esther is brilliant! I learn from every single so good. I love her!

Love this podcast (5/5)

Absolutely one of the best podcasts I’ve had the pleasure to listen to!

Wonderful (5/5)

Really fascinating podcast. I love the human stories and thoughtful commentary.

Lady (5/5)

I️ love her she is so fantastic!!!!

Insightful (5/5)

Interesting and entertaining. Goes to show that the problems that appear at the surface aren't always the main matters that are affecting relationships. She digs deep.

Most deLIGHTful! (5/5)

I love Ester! She just gets it. She is firm and can cut through like fire but it is never judgmental because it is matched with compassionate listening. Plus I've learned so much about my sexual life! So goood!

Love! (5/5)

Love, love, love this podcast and Esther! Can’t wait for more.

Amazzzzzing (5/5)

As a budding therapist myself I am amazed at Esther’s natural ability to reframe, guide, and challenge each couple. I am curious if there were more couples sessions and only the flawless ones were chosen? Esther seems so natural and at ease in the room with difficult issues, I hope to aspire to her level of competency and confidence.

BRAVO 👏 (5/5)

I applaud these people for sharing these stories. They probably have no idea how many people they are helping by being so brave! Bravo 👏👏👏

Wish all counselors were this good! (5/5)

My husband and I have been through 6-8 marriage counselors. I wish that we would have had the chance to meet with her.

Queen Esther (5/5)

Love this podcast. Insightful, exciting, educational. Every time I listen I learn something new about relationships and love.

I'm hooked (5/5)

As a mental health professional and wife, I'm hooked on this podcast. You can relate to some of these couples and learn more about yourself, all at the same. Ester is brilliant!

Amazing and Affirming (5/5)

I started listening with cynicism. 10-15 minutes into that first episode, I realized I was no longer raking leaves; I was standing stock still, drinking in every word. I am awed by the people in these sessions: the raw honesty and genuine decency is humbling and hopeful. Esther Perel strikes at the heart of things, but never, never does she disrespect her clients or their pain. This is the real deal. It has shown me different ways of approaching my own relationship problems, and has given me hope. It’s also forced me to confront, at least momentarily, my responsibilities within my own relationships. It’s not always comfortable, but she is so present, you feel supported, even as just a listener. Please do more of these; they’re practically a public service. Thank you for the privilege of entering this world.

Wow! (5/5)

Astounding insight! (5/5)

This podcast is amazing! Esther’s insight navigates everyone participating through any issue with such grace - with the right amount of tenderness and just the right amount of nudge that you can’t fool her or yourself. Thank you to those on the podcast who have shared their stories to all! Such courage!

Broaden your horizon (5/5)

This woman’s podcasts and books have changed my life.

Worth Listening To (5/5)

This is one of my favorite podcasts. I love Esther’s voice. Each episode shines light on a different aspect of a couples relationship. I learn so much to apply to my own marriage and enjoy listening at the same time. The diversity makes me emotional; as a minority, this is important to me (and adds an interesting aspect in my opinion). With every episodes end, I hear the love in the couples voices when they speak to each other and I feel like I’m listening to a real life fairy tale.

Esther (5/5)

She’s fabulous! I wish she were my therapist! She lets nothing get past her, but she’s still warm and compassionate. AND she has a great sense of humor. More, please.

Outstanding (5/5)

She is a brilliant therapist, and despite any criticism demystifying and educating the public of the counseling process is most definitely a good thing.

Intimate and raw (5/5)

Thank you for this glimpse into such a private world.

Fascinating (5/5)

Not only are these stories beautifully told, with Esther Perel getting to the heart of the matter, but honestly it helps me try to relate to my partner and rethink my relationships

Simply amazing (5/5)

Fascinating, insightful, gives hope.

My new favorite podcast (5/5)

Esther is so insightful and intuitive, and these relationships are so beautifully raw and honest. So well done!

Cannot stop listening (5/5)

Love this podcast. Esther is fantastic!

Real situations, real emotions (5/5)

I waited so long for the podcast to be available! It is exactly what I thought it would be. Different couples different issues, dives into the deeper issues and gives them techniques to improve their relationship. Love the podcast!

Fantastic! (5/5)

Esther is great with her clients. She is insightful and very straightforward. Her comments and advice is wonderful. The couples that come on the show are very interesting... definitely makes you think and revise your own relationships...

Thank you (5/5)

Such great intuition combined with the science of relationships. I find myself nodding and seeing so many relatable moments for myself and people around me. I listen and relisten and take some of these moments with me. I think I reviewed this before but I am coming back partway through the season to do it again because I love this so much

Wow (5/5)

I heard Esther Perel on another podcast and had to subscribe to this one. Some really heartwrenching and touching REAL stories, and Esther is an amazing mediator.

Wow (5/5)

I wish there were more to binge on- amazing!

so good (5/5)

Fabulous (5/5)

Insightful, energetic, joyful therapist. Moving work.

Amazing!!! (5/5)

I am not even married - BUT - this series is captivating - the intimacy of the couples and the trust they show in all of us!!! I am learning so much about communication

Gripping, but also fun (5/5)

An intimate view of a relationship every episode. Be careful - you may need to binge listen!

No hum. Always the guys fault, so. Good for angry women (2/5)

It’s not terrible. But it’s not all that interesting either. So far, everything is the guys fault. “She has to forgive him”. Needs more variety in topics. I suppose if I was a woman, especially a women looking for stuff like this to reinforce your biases.... well, here you go. If you REALLY want to learn something, especially men, there’s not much here. Except blame and guilt, and the need to “listen” to her feelings. I can get that at home now ...... endlessly.

Informative and helpful (5/5)

Really enjoying the episodes thus far!

Excellent (5/5)

This is excellent, as everything that Esther Perel creates.

Special (5/5)

This podcast is a gift...the insights into the personal realm of intimate relationships is profound. This has to best new podcast and most necessary one too

Motherless is my favorite (5/5)

Really great podcast!

Beautiful (5/5)

Heart wrenching, interesting & wonderful. Feels like you're seeing the secrets in someone's life. Lots to learn. Ester is patient & real.

Excellent Podcast (5/5)

I have rarely rated podcasts, but I feel strongly that this one is full of good truth that can powerfully point couples in a better direction. Though this podcast is not from a Biblical worldview, as a Christian, I believe Biblical relationship principles are reflected in Esther Perel’s counseling. I’m so glad I ran across this podcast.

Listening in on the therapy sessions of other couples. So educational and informative, and a great tool for me in my journey to learn to be a less judgmental human being.

I am an avid podcast listener because I drive a lot for my job. I love true crime mostly but I've needed something lighter and this was perfect. I do not have Audible so PLEASE add more episodes. I listened to all three today and need more!

Love to listen! (5/5)

Great listen and took away a lot from some of the sessions. It’s just so interesting, keep ‘em coming!

I sat for hours listening. I laughed, cried and felt so many different emotions. Absolutely amazing!!

Listening to things people hide (5/5)

Really helps you learn to speak from the heart

Soooo insightful (5/5)

She brings such insight to these sessions.

Excellent (5/5)

One of the best podcasts. I love it.

❤️❤️ (5/5)

Falling in love again because of this podcast

Insightful (5/5)

If you can see yourself in her patients/clients, her insights can really benefit the listener. You can hear it all without getting defensive.

Overhyped (1/5)

Not as good as advertised

Marvelous!!! (5/5)

I so enjoy this podcast. I like to listen on my way home from work to help me shake off my day. It helps bring me a better perspective & I am able to better connect with my husband, even after a long day. Her insights are so powerful. I would give this podcast 10 stars if I could!!!

I love that she has a podcast- this is great (5/5)

I would love it if Esther could provide external or peripheral commentary when applicable or useful as we navigate the couple's dynamic and experience and listen to their exchange. Otherwise this is everything I thought it would be and more. I really enjoyed the "I've Had Better" episode and look forward to updates.

A life changer (5/5)

I am listening to the episodes and crying my eyes out because I relate with many of the issues and am working on challenges in my marriage. Thank you Esther Perel for sharing these sessions. ❤️

Powerful stuff! (5/5)

Pretty insightful, and gives a glimpse into what goes on behind the closed doors. Very helpful for those considering or wondering about marriage counseling. If only every one of them were like Esther Perel!

Inside look into therapy (5/5)

This podcast does a great job of shedding light onto what goes on in a therapy session. Ester Perel is magnificent. The cases are intriguing and so very real. Give it a listen. You won't be disappointed

Scratching my “fly on the wall” itch! (5/5)

This is killer. You’ve been there, I’ve been there... those moments where you think “I’d love to be a fly on the wall in a counseling room”. Well, this podcast will do it for you. It’s strikingly honest, and so intriguing... because obviously, intimacy is nothing short of complicated, and this show will make you feel a little less like your the only one who thinks so. Plus, who doesn’t like getting legit counseling-quality advice for free??

An alternative study of love and intimacy (5/5)

Currently, the most relevant couples therapy podcast worth listening to over and over again. I'm enthralled. All inhibitions aside by a few who seek to remedy their marriage in the midst of conflict and the great unknown that is love.

Wow (5/5)

She fantastic . Great podcast

Amazing! (5/5)

I listened as soon as this was released and I sure hope that more episodes occur! Shea’s amazing and her books are fantastic. Definitely need more!

Amazing podcast (5/5)

Highly recommend this podcast to everyone who is in relationship, wanting one or just separated from a partner. Learn to listen deeply, communicate clearly and engage with yourself and your partners needs.

Educational, raw, fascinating (5/5)

I LOVE this podcast. It is so interesting, so well done, and so fascinating.

Great (5/5)

This podcast is awesome. I love hearing people’s stories!!

Assuring (5/5)

While listening to other couples and difficulties they are having, it's a great lesson and awareness that I'm beginning to have in my own relationships. I'm enjoying the bigger picture statements. Where it might seem like the problem is stemming from or cause by one thing or action, but it's much deeper. I'm beginning to see hope for current and future relationships and friendships, and an appreciation for past ones.

Intriguing ideas about love & relationships (5/5)

Listened to first 10 episodes on Audible (free to those with Amazon Prime). A shakedown of Hollywood and Hallmark notions of love. Wisdom in each episode for all, even when specifics don't fit yours. Looking forward to more.

Listen now on Audible, iTunes in the fall. Amazing! (5/5)

I LOVE Esther Perel. This is an amazing little insight as to what exactly happens during a session with her. It's fascinating to see what real people are going through.

Amazing Insights & Ah-ha Moments (5/5)

I've been listening on Audible (if you have prime it's free). I believe it's coming to itunes this fall? Fascinating recordings. Each episode has given me at least one powerful realization about my own relationship.

7 episodes already available on Audible (5/5)

Will be released later on iTunes. Very original and captivating look inside real therapy.

Real and Amazing (5/5)

I listened to this on This American Life and I was taken by the content and the perceptiveness of Esther Perel. Listening to this is a learning experience in how we relate as human beings with ourselves and others.

Change My Mind (1/5)

This podcast has been on the Top list for weeks, but no episodes have been released. One star for the gimmick. Change my mind by releasing something interesting.

Powerfully honest. Insightful. (5/5)

Astoundingly honest in its depiction of the complex and momentarily fragile travails when couples' attempt to strike a lifelong union. Each couple is refreshingly candid. Perel is insightful and direct. You may discover that your own relationship will strengthen from the mere act of listening.

Debuted 5/18 (5/5)

It's already up on Audible, hence the early reviews.

No episodes but lots of positive reviews??? (1/5)

How weird that this podcast has all multiple five-star reviews, even though no episodes have even been posted yet! Very off-putting to read positive reviews for a show that hasn't even published episodes.

Why post so early!!? (1/5)

Why would you post now when the series comes out in October.

Incredible (5/5)

My first review ever, because of how moved I was (as listened to on audible). As a huge fan of podcasts, I've never had such a strong emotional reaction to an episode as I did to this series. If you can wait, it's worth it. If not, head to audible!

Trash (1/5)

Love it! (5/5)

I love the format of this podcast. The ability to step into the lives of a couple that is going through different marital issues is very interesting. A bit voyeuristic but can completely empathize with them. Easy to relate on so many levels. Absolutely love Esther Perel!

Can't wait! (5/5)

I heard an except on This American Life (617: Fermi's Paradox) & CAN NOT WAIT for the full season to be released!

4th on charts?? (1/5)

There's only a trailer out and 28 reviews and it's 4th?? What a crap system

Esther Perel is Amazing! (5/5)

I've listened to 2 episodes on Audible and I'm already hooked. I discovered Esther through her TED talks and was so excited to hear she has a podcast.

Ridiculous (1/5)

Why is this rated when there is not an episode?

Great! Esther is genuine, responsible, & caring (5/5)

This series/subject matter can be a little jarring for those in relationships. Listen with an open mind. Dr. Esther Perel must be the best in her field - she's a masterful counselor and it's really interesting to listen to her work and facilitate healing. Like...

When? (3/5)

So when WILL his podcast begin here?

This is released on Audible (5/5)

First, this is a truly great podcast that is very vulnerable and valuable. Second, to those whose think the current reviews are fake they aren't. If you have audible you can't listen to the first four episodes of this podcast, but otherwise you'll have to wait until it's official release date for Apple's podcast platform.

They're all available on Audible (5/5)

That's how they're able to rate

How is this already in the top 3, let alone the top 100??? (1/5)

Just like the title, this show hasn't even started yet... why is it top of the charts?

it's free on audible - without membership (5/5)

4 eps are on audible for free.

Hokum (1/5)

Female version of deepak chopra / dr phil. No real therapist would do this.

Raw and real (5/5)

As of 5/25/2017 4 episodes + prologue are out on Audible via their channels section of the app. The podcasts manage to capture such raw and real emotions many couples go through and even if the specific situation doesn't pertain to your situation... the tools she uses can be used and applied in most every relationship. I have my fiancé listening and it's opened up so many conversations in how we argue and communicate. It's been an amazing experience as a couple for us to listen

Love it (5/5)

Esther is amazing. She has a deep understanding of the couple dynamic.

For all the whiny babies giving this one star (5/5)

1) This is on the top charts because one episode was premiered within the latest episode of This American Life. 2) That prompted many people to subscribe, pushing it to the top charts. 3) The excerpted episode was AMAZING, which is why people are rating this five stars.

Should not be able to rate a trailer (1/5)

Nothing has come out yet. Ratings should be based on the actual content, not whatever they're hyping the show up to be. Come on Apple, please change this because it's BS. Stop wasting my time. Start a new section of "coming soon" podcasts please.

She's amazing! (5/5)

Love this podcast.

Can't Wait - Enchanting and Real (5/5)

I've seen Esther speak in person and watched her command a group as if she were speaking to each person one on one. She has the ability to help people truly understand the human interaction and better understand and communicate with themselves as well as the people whom they love.

amazing (5/5)

Both the therapist and the couples are so amazing for sharing these sessions.

Love it already (5/5)

I've been waiting so long for this!

Yes! (5/5)

Love this, love her, can't wait to hear more
